Nice place, but alas we ordered fish and chips and it wasn't anything special...plus we also found a hair on one plate and my daughter never ate again. Sin!

A great pub hidden away in South Kensington. A friendly smile as you walk through the doors, cosy and easy to feel comfortable at the different areas around the pub. We were in the restaurant part by a cosy roaring fire. A nice selection of food , well cooked and plenty. Our server , Morgan, was fantastic and couldn't do enough for us , very attentive but not pushy. Checking regularly that we had everything we needed, from drinks to extra gravy! A great little find. Will definitely pop back when next In the area.

Amazing place to spend with friends

Very cozy place with a warm atmosphere. Really friendly staff, especially the Spanish guy with glasses making great cocktails! Definitely coming back.

Come here quite often and am met with absolutely great kindness and enthusiasm from all staff , especially Francisco is absolutely amazing treats everyone like family ❤️ would recommend

Sadly I think being understaffed was the issue, food came out at different times and the plates felt they lacked attention to detail and tasted below average with addition of the odd hair in the soup wasn’t very appetising. This was our 7th visit to one of the groups pubs and sadly our last. No pint expanding the group of the standard can’t be upheld.

Had a Christmas Lunch at the Admiral Coddrington and it was super. The staff also friendly and attentive. Special shout out to Francisco.

Fantastic place for cosy Christmas celebrations!

My gravy was completely cold. Unfortunately I had poured it all over my meal before I realised. Desserts were a bit unappealing and the one we had was too sweet. Roasts were nice. Good wine selection.

What a lovely pub. I felt right at home the moment I came in. The drinks, the food and the atmosphere were all perfection. I went in with a couple of friends and we all had the Sunday roast. Best in the area so far. Our host, Francisco was very welcoming and overall great. Shoutout to him! Will definitely be coming back.

A nice , original pub. The burger I had was descent , big and the beer amazing . Would go again and I recommend this pub to hang out and have your drink.

So, fair warning, you're in Kensington, so everything is a little bit expensive. That said, £21.00 for 3 pints is pretty expensive, especially when one of those pints is just handed to you as a can which you pour into the glass yourself. The venue itself is nice, with a quieter atmosphere and a more relaxed vibe than the bars near the station, worth the ten minute walk so you can actually find a table.

We had a nice lunch and Francisco was a great host. We didn't take any photos, but the other review photos look accurate.

We had an excellent experience! The fish and chips were delicious, but what really made our visit stand out was the exceptional service from our server, Francisco. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Highly recommend!

Good cocktails, and amazing service from both Morgan and francesco! Personally love the scotch egg, pairs beautifully with a cheeky cocktail! Beautiful atmosphere will definitely come again.

Such a shame as it showed promise, but after buying a drink and ordering the Sunday Roast Beef, what arrived was very disappointing. The Yorkshire Pudding was not only flat, but uncooked and flat. The vegetables consisted of half a carrot and loads of carrot puree plus a couple of burnt ribbons of kale. And only two roast potatoes which I think had been deep fried. And then a smothering of gravy all served on a 9” plate, so not a tradition roast that it promises to be.

Had dinner and drinks here with a friend in between an event. We were served my Morgan and I can honestly say she is the best bar person I’ve ever come across in London. Kind, attentive and personable. The food was incredible and the little beer garden out the side is great on a warm afternoon. Great little pub!

Admiral Codrington's fish and chips were highly recommended to us. I came in expecting them to be the same as any other in the UK. I was wrong. BEST FISH AND CHIPS in the country!! I do not like tartar sauce at all. Theirs looks different--more herbaceous. It was delicious!!!

My family and I came here after my grandma passing away, which they were so helpful, attentive and made us feel very important and supportive. We still come to this pub 9 years later with the same atmosphere. This place is amazing and so unique

Celebrated my birthday here and Jorge and his team were absolutely incredible! Kind, attentive and overall perfect! Strongly recommend for anyone who’s thinking of celebrating a special occasion here.

We were particularly well received in this pub which has a pretty little terrace and above all a very good restaurant at the back, with nice benches. The Sunday roast, whether with pork or angus meat, was very good. Shrimp with curry and chili peppers too. The waitress Abby was good advice.

Has gone massively downhill. Returned for first time post-Pandemic for Sunday lunch. The pub felt run-down, and not decorated since the early 2010s (I remember when it was newly decorated!) They were out of stock of many items, ranging from some starters through to diet soft drinks! My wife had the aubergine main course, which was undercooked and inedible. Pointed it out to the staff who shrugged. Roast beef was average, with decent meat but poor sides (e.g. roast potatoes were undercooked and not crispy)

Absolutely love the place. Came here with my dad and family a lot, it was his favourite pub when he lived in London. Friendly staff, amazing food, and all around a great place.

After work, I always hit up my local pub. The staff is very friendly and the food is great also. Their cocktails are fire, especially Jorge's espresso martini – seriously the bomb!

Worse Mother’s Day ever Where to even start The fact we got seated with no menus or even asked to order a drink Within 30 mins was then asked what we want for desert all before getting a menu or drink Then waited an hour for our first (main) course to come Then after that given a dessert rejected from another table Then also not given cutlery again. So waited 30 mins for cutlery When said something to the waitress all she said was sorry I personally had to take it back to the kitchen and ask for another one as was melted and not with anyone elses order After another 30 mins then received everyone’s deserts Then they messed up the bill and added someone else’s coffees on the bill and still tried to add service charge. After receiving the worse service I have ever had Complete shame as the food was actually lovely Will not be back and won’t be recommending

I come here with work all the time. Great pub! The drinks are great and the bar staff are really friendly. We quite often use the function room upstairs and we have the food - it’s lovely. Highly recommend.

Great food, service and atmosphere!

The beer is good and cold, the staff are lovely (special shout out to Abigail, Wez and George), I bring punters from a dance club there every fortnight and they are wonderfully accommodating of our shenanigans.
