The Albert in City of London, Westminster

This place is lovely : Good services, delicious food and the style of the whole place is (in my opinion) great. Would recomend to everyone

We came for Sunday lunch. We booked a table upstairs. The staff were friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the pub. I ordered roast beef and my wife had steak which were both very nice. If I had any criticism it would be about the children's menu which has been discontinued which meant there wasn't really anything we could order for our little boy apart from chicken wings. That said I can highly recommend the Albert, we enjoyed our time there

We thank the staff for not taking the time to take care of us. A visit to the basement toilets where there was a dead rat convinced us that we had to move on and avoid this place!

We had several delicious meals while here in London. We highly recommend the steak and ale pie!! Sharron Mumsi was our server and she was fantastic!!!

Unfortunately, this time I didn't use the service because we were too early, but this very atmospheric pub from 1862 with a facade that was not damaged during the war is perfectly integrated among the office buildings and buildings.

Lovely traditional pub with a good atmosphere, welcoming staff. Great food options. All three of us enjoyed our meals and desserts. Plenty of space too.

During our visit, there were very few à la carte dishes. We were able to taste the traditional F&S which still caused us to wait around thirty minutes. The small-weight jam wasn't great but the rest was.

Shockingly BAD!!! AWFUL DREADFUL. Stressed staff with ONE grim faced staff member serving the whole.of the upstairs. Food average at best. Genuinely queued over 40 just to be served. Booked a table that day (booking accepted on line) to be told told they can't take bookings on the day. 🙄 SHOCKINGLY BAD. NEVER AGAIN For the price and "experience"...don't go!!! DO....NOT....GO!!!!! AWFUL

We’ve been here several times over the last 2 years and enjoy it over and over. The atmosphere is perfect, even when it is crowded the place is pretty enjoyable. The food is pretty good and the amount of beers are pretty good. Especially for New Year’s Eve it might be cool to have some more festive cocktails, but this is just a small recommendation. Thanks as always.

Great place with tasty food and drinks; portion sizes are fair. Also, the decor is really nice - I had a chance to be there in December right before Christmas, and it was even more charming. I recommend visiting!

A good experience. A friendly setting. Starter, main course, dessert and beer The dessert was inedible, a chocolate caramel cake so sweet it would put you off the rest but no, the rest was quite nice

An excellent pub experience, crowded but not stuffed, the atmosphere was great, an amazing beer selection and the food was omg!! We enjoyed it sooo much. The people there were super friendly and kind!! One really bad impression was the toilets, it smelled awful and looked really dirty

Stanley the bouncer is a piece of work. My family was seperated and he wouldnt let us give them their jacket, instead forcing us on a 30 min line when we didnt even want to enter. Wouldnt recommend

A great pub, good atmosphere, food was delicious, however the service was awful. I got my pie fairly quickly, and it was nice, my partner was waiting an additional 15 minutes or so for her cheese toastie… when I asked the server, he just said ‘it’s coming’.. with no sense of care or apology, Really marred our dinner..

Nice decor but very overcrowded and not the best service

Typical British place where you can feel the London atmosphere, a really nice place! Online booking works very well and is recommended. The food is good but nothing to write home about, tasted 2 Sunday roast, beef and chicken, The first one was not very tender.

My visit to "The Albert" was initially by chance but turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences in London. What a magnificent place with antique and unique set up, paintings, pictures of historical events and personalities. The food was warm and fresh and the atmosphere superb. Really recommend it to locals and tourists!

Kelvin and Dharti MADE MY DAY! My brother and I have so much fun and they gave all the best recommendations. So excited to visit again. Highly recommend!

Good food but it took almost 1 hour to get it. We got the steak and ale pie and the festive duck hash.

Great pub in Westminster, near Buckingham Palace. We enjoyed good drinks and decently priced food. The service was very responsive and accommodating after one plate had first arrived cold. Would recommend.

The food took a while, but it was delicious

The beef was actually mediocre, as it had not been cooked thoroughly. However, we were a last minute group and they managed to get a table for us within minutes. Hence I loved their amazing attitude towards us. The atmosphere was also amazing, and we loved the good food, including the ice cream !! Overall would return again, but this time not last minute 😅

The food is very bad. Had a table of 8 people. So there was a different variety. We all tried different ones and we agreed it was that bad we just left it. The drinks on the other hand you can't get wrong. Service was great and sorted out any problems. The atmosphere is very relaxing, it's very stuffy on the upper floors.

Visited with my regt branch after the Cenotaph parade. The staff were very attentive and helpful. I ordered the steak. It was very very difficult to cut, and was tastless. It was cooked to med rare which was about the only positive point about it. The sticky pudding was good.

Beautiful building, cozy interior, attentive and quick service. The prices were completely reasonable considering the location. We were satisfied with every dish, but the chocolate-caramel cake was absolutely incredible!

Nice pub with a warm and traditional decor

The service seemed overwhelmed and it took a very long time for us to receive our food and drink. Food was just so-so

Ordered the special of today which was Scottish Mussles, eight of which were served unopened and therefore inedible. Also served without any bread, the fries were cold. When we told them of the issues, the management really didn't seem to care very much. We waited half an hour for our food.

I went there on the advice of someone who was there last year, same period. I found the prices slightly higher. Quality-wise, average food. Friendly staff. The beer is good. The venue has been frequented by several prominent personalities

We landed in this pub as soon as we arrived in London, we drank a beer and a cider and ate Fish & Chips. The price was right, the dish delicious and plentiful. Very friendly staff. I recommend.

After a long day of travelling and sightseeing the friendly staff at the Albert makes your pint taste even more refreshing with their great service. Dharti and Kelvin took great care of us when visiting. They are without a doubt part of the best barstaff in London you can find. Food was superfresh and tasty. My Hungarian wife said her duckleg tasted better than at home, and that’s a dish that has been perfected for centuries over there. Well worth a visit!

It was ok. Better on the outside than in. Chicken and bacon sandwich was dry and some of the chicken was roasted last weekend I think, couldn't chew it. Some nice features of architecture

A lovely pub with delicious food. The perfect for an English experience if you're not familiar with the English pub culture. Service upstairs was great to start with. Then as drinks and food were brought to us, the staff didn't actually know what they were carrying, so we got confused. Also we had to drink our coffees with our elbows hovering over our empty plates that weren't cleared away like normally happens. The staff were very friendly, just not very attentive.

A beautiful place with an amazing vibe, We found this restaurant accidentally because apparently it isn't visited by Asians a lot. But My mom and I had a wonderful time all thanks to our host Komal, she was very attentive and kind and went out of her way to make sure we had a good time. I understand she was extra attentive because we were Indians but every once in a while you feel home when you have someone who is from your community. So I hope The Albert will reward her for her service and not be too uptight about her extra attention towards us Food wise try the Pea & Mint Soup. It's delicious. Also the Vegan burger with Soya Patty. It's amazing. Amazing place with an amazing vibe.

A fantastic lovely old London pub Great atmosphere and staff

Food was great I ordered the Korean chicken burger.Arrived at about 25 minutes, had a pint of Guinness within 10 minutes and overall a really great place with great service and really kind and efficient staff members. REALLY RECOMMEND (affordable)

We stopped in for a couple of pints on our walking tour of landmarks of London. It had an amazing atmosphere and such a warm home-like feeling. A unique experience while walking around looking at all the paintings photos and memorabilia. Hearing its story makes it one to remember. Highly recommended!

A classic with good food, many English people watching football and a good atmosphere.

I had the best services from Kelvin and Mansi They were welcoming and Kelvin makes a great drink. The food was wonderful I had the fish and chips to a get authentic British dish. It was perfect, I would certainly eat there again.

Honest review The outside architect is nice and attracting, inside vibe is warm and nice, the service is a bit slow, the staff half nice the others looked exhausted and bored of serving, the food is good, price is also good , the disaster to me is the level of cleanliness specially the restrooms looks like public toilets dirty I never see this level of dirtiness unless in public toilets . Hope they did better.

Very slow service, took an hour to get our food. The lady who brought the food out was severely lacking in service skills, cold and passed a hot bowl of soup over my son’s head.

We were a party of five. Half our food came out and it took 30 minutes for the other half. Three different waiters came to us in that time to ask how our food was and each time we told them we were waiting on more food. Each time they assured us "o it is on its way". The food finally came and we still were missing part of one of the meals. That final part took ANOTHER 30 MINUTES. Horrible service and the food itself, although hot, was bland. I do not recommend.

Love this traditional London town pub. Good food at reasonable prices. Great selection of beers even if a little bit pricey, but sort of what you exspect for the middle of London. Absolutely gorgeous decor and interior with great staff. Love to pop in whenever I'm working from the office in London after a day at the desk.

Busy weekday, slow service but nice food.

First time ever having fish and chips and it was finger licking good.

Enjoyed the ‘chicken sharer’ for lunch. Mixed drinks were weak, but enjoyable atmosphere during both lunch and evening times.

This place is okay. The Guinness is decent. Though, one of the bartenders basically knows how to pour a Guinness, and the other doesn't have a clue. The food was hit or miss. I got the Chicken Sharer. The chicken wings were good but small. The nacho was one of the most worst nachos I have ever had. And the Korean chicken was okay. It was a little spicy for me, though it still had good flavor. I ordered a desert for my friend at the same time as my appetizer. They completely forgot about the desert, and I had to go and ask about it 45 minutes later. I would be happy to go here again. Though I wouldn't order food again.

The Albert Victoria is a gem of a pub! We had an incredible evening thanks to the fantastic service from Imaan and Rodrigo. Imaan was attentive and welcoming, making us feel right at home, while Rodrigo's drink recommendations were spot on. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed night out. Excellent food, a great selection of drinks, and outstanding staff—Albert Victoria is a must-visit!

Stumbled on this on the way to see Hamilton at Victoria. Loved the history of this place and seeing the division bell. Good food and great service by the team.

Cozy Pub that we can recommend. Good food and nice hospitality. There was nothing wrong with the beer either. When we got there, there were hardly any there, but after approx. After 25 minutes, people poured in, so you can probably say it's popular.

This is a wonderful pub. Good was wonderful and service was great. Felt bad that I couldn't eat my dessert as I was so full, and our server felt so bad that they didn't have to go options. Good selection of items and drinks.

Such cool history behind this place! Came here after a long day of sightseeing and had a great meal. Delicious fish and chips and mac and cheese. The atmosphere was amazing, I really enjoyed all the history they had present throughout the establishment. If you are in the area I highly recommend.

The food was very tasty and absolutely reasonable in price, perhaps even cheap compared to the other restaurants. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow, but then you had more time to look at the beautiful and well-preserved ambience. Absolute recommendation!

This is a such landmark pub on the Victoria Avenue which did not get bombed down during the WWII! The building itself is very welcoming and inviting! When you walked by it, just draw you in! We walked by a few times and decided to coming tonight and we are so glad we did! The first beer the bartender poured for me, when I touch the glass, the glass is warm, maybe that beer mug is just out of the dish washing machine! She immediately use another mug to pour me another beer! The fish and chips also is the best so far as we been stayed in London for a week now! The fish is fluffy and crispy, the chips are Crispy in the soft side! Both are perfectly seasoned! We will love to come back again for another drink in this pub soon!
