A local friendly pub with great staff

What a lovely pub! My friend hired the skittles alley for a group of us and our children and they all had such a fun time. The food was delicious - I had a vegan bucaneer burger which was really filling with lots of fresh ingredients and very tasty - and all of the service team were so friendly and helpful. It's very much a locals pub with a lively and friendly atmosphere in the main parts and great to have an area that's separate to the grown ups where you can socialise with your friends and children together - we will be back😊

Great pud good people some times

Visited The Anchor to watch the England match, the barman turned TV on and selected channel but didn't put the sound on. All Covid precautions in place. Gents toilet was the problem, no toilet, no soap, hand drier doesn't work and not very clean. Makes you wonder what the kitchen is like !!!

Seriously gone down hill, hounded by clientele the moment you step through the door. AVOID

Stank of sweat last time I was in. Decor utterly basic. Beer ok but nothing worth staying for.
