Great staff, very friendly food good could with some TV on in the bars even if it Sky news

they cancel events at last minute

Absolutely fantastic place. Amazing facilities, and the beer garden is second to none be it a hot sunny day or a chilly day/evening the booths have lighting and heaters that could give you a tan while having a drink. The age range is 80+ to 21s who all mingle seamlessly. The bar staff (I’m one of them) are always up for a giggle and when certain songs come on the jukebox have a dance and a wiggle while pulling a pint or lining up shots!! Always fun to be had at the Arlington Arms.

Friendly atmosphere the staff are really friendly. However if you go there with your friends and want to play pool unfortunately there is a silly rule of winner stays on. With for a public place is very unfair. Perhaps this is why it doesn’t attract new customers.

Good beer and friendly bar staff and a good selection of snacks and non alcoholic drinks. Barstaff are very quick to dispel any unacceptable behaviour. Happy people and a friendly atmosphere. Lovely garden, a generaly lovely pub for the whole family and even dogs are welcome. Outside has multiple covered areas to sit in with heating lamps for those chilly nights as well. Wheelchair and buggy accessible via the back garden and a very large car park which is well lit at night. Disabled/ladies toilets also have very cute changing facilities.

Spend a lot more time here lately. Larger than first impressions. The staff are great, serve good beer and a chat.

Carvery was lovely and good choice meat and veg including cauliflower cheese.Friendly atmosphere.

1 visit and 3 phoncalls resulted in Nothing ! I visited to book a wake , a very nice staff member took all the details .The manager did not contact me.Three times I called, and left details and requested a call back, no response; it must be nice not to need the custom

Came for the carvery lovely food and catered for me being vegetarian and you can still order from normal menue as my daughter had burger which she said was good pudding was nice the apple crumble was massive

Visited for a works Christmas party, perfect function room for a large group of us with space to have a DJ and dance floor. Family run, staff attentive, will be back for a roast!

Visited this place for a meal but sadly here was no food to be had untill this weekend coming 2/12/23,so cannot comment any further.

Having checked out the website and being impressed by the wide range of food on offer we decided to book a table for four at the Arlington arms. On arrival it was soon obvious that this was a huge mistake. We ordered drinks and were pointed in the direction of the only table set out for meals. On looking at the very limited menu we decided that this was definitely not the place we would be eating. I explained to the girl behind the bar that there was no comparison between their website menu and the one on the table and we would be leaving after we'd finished out drinks. She was very polite and understanding and apologised for the misunderstanding. This looks more like a drinkers pub that you'd call in on the way home from work.

This pub is a great place to meet friends, with a variety of things to do, there is a Juke Box, fruit machines, dart board, pool tables and a garden which also has a smoking area. There is also a small function room to hire. They have a great selection of drinks available, including a coffee machine, various snacks. I’ve not eaten off the menu here yet, but will update my review when I do. The staff and landlord are friendly and welcoming, whether your a regular or a visitor to Eastbourne.

Just as if my chief son had cooked it for. Excellent I would recommend this. cauliflower cheese is the best. Staff are all attentive. And a shout out to the young girl who was straight there when someone spilt there drink to clean it up.

Lovely family birthday meal. The staff are lovely and an extra special shout out to the chef who interated with us and the kids throughout. The food was lovely and came very quickly. Thank you to the team

Lovely friendly staff, bright and airy bar/restaurant. The Sunday carvery is simple and basic but very tasty, very well cooked and great value for money. Would highly recommend a visit.

Really friendly place, bar staff cheerful and considerate

Bad. The only word I can use to describe my experience with The Arlington Arms. On the 28th June I rang up and booked a table for 4, for the 3rd July at 6.30pm. I even rang back the same evening to confirm whether we were going to be seated inside or out. All sorted.. I thought. I called back on the 2nd July to double check a detail with the booking, only to be told that there are no bookings due to the football. My booking had been cancelled without being told. They had not taken a contact detail from me and there were no updates on the website to inform everyone of the changes, so I am just glad I didn't arrive with my visiting parents (whom I haven't seen in months) just to be sent home. Avoid to save disappointment.

Had the Sunday lunch. Everything on the plate was excellent. Potatoes tasted like I cooked them myself, very impressed

Having lived in Thailand for twelve years I know authentic Thai food when I taste it and this is the real McCoy. Far better than any other Thai restaurant in Eastbourne and represents real value. I am slowly working my way through the menu and every dish has been excellent. If you do not like your meals too spicy tell Khun (Miss) Mon and she will adjust the recipe accordingly. Had an excellent Sunday roast served with fresh vegetables , a good variety on the menu and very reasonably priced , nice friendly atmosphere and exceptional staff.

Booked the function room for my mums wake, which was today, Shelia and her team did not let us down. The Buffett she put on was amazing, we were able to use the garden, with bouncy castle, the area outside and the bar. The cost of room was free and the Buffett was very reasonably priced with a great assortment of foods. The staff are friendly and the pub is bright and airy. I would highly recommend.

The staff here is great as is the choice of beers. Harveys Bitter is the regular real ale. Food is good but only served Thursday to Sunday.

Accessible to the pub from the car park, no accessible loos. Fabulous Sunday roast. Real chicken, not slices from rehydrated mush. Roast tatties, peas, carrots, cabbage-+ more gravy on request. Reasonably priced. Harvey’s own pub. Smallish car park, bus stop outside. A local pub, for local people, with service to others who want a great Sunday lunch.

Previous visit was some 2+ years ago for a granddaughters birthday disco. Finding ourselves passing we decided to drop in. We got our drinks and passed our time sipping. We didn't have food so cannot comment on this area. However, the place was quite clean, decorated nicely and comfortable

My husband and I have been using the Arlington Arms for some years now, as we have family in the area. Until today, we always found it to be a super little pub, with warm and welcoming staff and good pub food at very reasonable prices. Today we had reserved a table for two at 12.30 and arrived about five minutes early. We were greeted with the statement that there was no booking in our name, but that we could "sit anywhere". It became swiftly apparent that we could not "sit anywhere" because all the tables were either occupied or reserved for other people. We were shown into a room at the rear of the pub, which was evidently not much used for dining as only one table was laid. We were the only two customers in this room, so it was completely lacking in ambience and felt utterly "makeshift". We therefore decided to leave without eating. The attitude of the Manager was disinterested to the point of rudeness and she never once apologised for the confusion over our reservation, even though shortly after our arrival, and having denied any knowledge of our booking, she said she'd found a note by the till with our reservation on it. The place us obviously under new management and we won't be returning.

We had our wedding reception here. Sheila the landlady was a perfect host. She was friendly kind and made sure I had the best day of my life. The food was superb considering we had 40 guests, the quality was amazing and although I have some regrets about my guests, I had the perfect evening. Would 100% reccomend coming here for a cheeky pint and a roast. Thanks to all x

Planeaba tener una fiesta allí ayer y el servicio que recibí fue repugnante. En primer lugar, anuncian falsamente una sala de actos gratuita, solo es gratuita según ciertas reglamentaciones. Tienes que quedarte y ordenar absolutamente todo, y si no está a la altura de las normas de limpieza en la mañana, entonces no recuperas el depósito original. La señora de la tierra impone tantas reglas que no la convierte en una fiesta, no estaba al tanto de la fiesta, por lo que no había movido la mesa y las sillas, así que tuvimos que hacerlo 45 minutos antes de que la fiesta estuviera a punto de comenzar. . Ella era terriblemente grosera. Mis amigos y yo nos habíamos pasado 2 horas decorando, y ella siguió viniendo y viendo lo que estábamos usando para decorarlos, pero nuevamente, 45 minutos antes de que comenzara la fiesta, ella tomó todo y lo arruinó diciendo que no nos permitían use pasadores de dibujo o cualquier cosa útil. Ella tenía un número de contacto por lo que podría habernos dejado saber lo que éramos y no podíamos usar antes de hacerlo todo. Al final de la noche, ella nos obligaba a irnos y ponernos en orden y hora antes de lo que se suponía que debíamos hacer. Las chicas que trabajaban detrás del bar la llamaron varias veces y encendieron luces porque se había ido a dormir y no se habría despertado para ayudarnos. Luego me hizo tomar la gran bolsa de basura en mi auto para tirar porque aparentemente ella hace que pesen sus contenedores. Ella nos siguió afuera del estacionamiento hasta que nos fuimos con la basura. No sugeriría tener ninguna función allí, fue un comportamiento horrible y repugnante.Lo único bueno del bar fue que el personal del bar era muy animado y servicial, pero la dueña de la tierra hizo que nos escoltaran como criminales, considerando cuánto dinero nos sacaron.

Tenía carne asada - wow 4 rebanadas, muchas patatas asadas, repollo, zanahorias, guisantes y mucha salsa encantadora + quiero decir mucha salsa casera.Bastante accesible, encantadora selección de cervezas. Creo que es un pub de Harvey.Personal amable, un poco celoso de limpiar las mesas tan pronto como una persona termina. Precios razonables también.

3 Carverys ordenados. 2 Pollo, 1 de carne. La comida era excelente. Pagar en el mostrador. El único error fue la nueva camarera tomó nuestra tarjeta fuera de la vista de uso "Contactless". Regresó con el recibo y la tarjeta. Todo el mundo sabe que esa tarjeta no debe salir de su vista? ? . Aparte de eso, todo estuvo muy bueno. Fui un domingos a la hora del almuerzo 12. 30.

Este es un antiguo pub de moda, con una línea buena en cerveza bien cuidado y que disfrutar de una bebida. Buscando un lugar para llevar a los visitantes que nos detuvimos para comer. Leer menú ordenados comida y debidamente. Por desgracia el día, Pescado mimado de mi esposa era apenas caliente en el medio, y las patatas fritas, bar todo parecía que había salido del congelador, incluso guisantes a fría rápidamente.

Called in for drinks, never having visited before, and got a really friendly welcome. Good choice of drinks and not too badly priced for around here.. A sweet pub, well worth a visit if in area.

Full of entertaining characters and very freindly and helpful staff, the food is of a very high standard and very good value, I can personally recommend the chicken and mushroom pie

Reservada para 14 personas. La comida es buena, pero bastante largo intervalo entre sirve. Una persona terminada antes de la comida.. Otros empezaron Feria de comidas para ser diferente elegido. volveremos pero con una gran multitud que tendremos que reservar las comidas individuales.

Never been here before. We understand that it used to be rather rundown and a bit of a dive. However, the current landlords have made this place inviting, friendly and comfortable.

Fui allí hace algunas veces, y lo pasamos muy bien. El lugar es muy típico Pup en inglés con mucho carácter. El personal es muy amable y la administración.

Felt uncomfortable from the moment we stepped in the door, the guy behind the bar was rude and when a drink was accidently knocked over we offered to clean it then got moaned at for using the bar cloth we were given to clean with?

The term 'locals bar' is best served for The Arlington. The pub is dark. It has a feeling of being sat in the same era since the mid seventies. Attempts to display local history hasn't gone unnoticed however the landlady is authoritarian and strict to the letter. It's not easy feeling welcome if you are not a local regular. Harveys ale is on tap which is reasonably priced and a good beer. The meals were OK. I have eaten here maybe five times. I can't really remember any single meal. Prices are reasonable. There's a pool room with TV. A garden of sorts... Could use something for the children if looking to bring in new customers. Overall... The main impact was with every visit the landlady made us all feel unwelcome and in the way. We gave her five or six tries before this review however something has to change for this venue to grow...

My first visit on 22 March to the Arlington , roast beef lunch, amazing value at £5.50, most importantly delicious , will certainly revisit!

What a fantastic visit to the arlington , lovely food , friendly atmoshere and must congratulate scott bar manager, great sense of humour kept us laughing throughout visit. Staff could not have been more helpful.

Sunday Lunch for ten, booked on the Saturday afternoon, and easily accommodated for 2pm. £6 per head in a town pub. Frankly, I wasn't expecting much, but our normal restaurant was unavailable, so this would have to do for a family get-together. We were expected by the staff, welcomed with a smile, and immediately shown to our table. The traditional Sunday lunch menu was varied, with all main meals around £5-7. Roast dinners on offer, plus a selection of alternatives. We had to order from the bar and pay in advance, but adjustments to individual meals were readily accepted, and the generous, simply presented portions were delivered quickly, efficiently, and piping hot (and not obviously from a microwave, either), A minor error was corrected quickly and without fuss, and everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. Most had a Sunday roast (beef, turkey and lamb were on offer), I had the steak and ale pie, with roast potatoes and vegetables. There was plenty of meat, a thick, flavourful gravy and puff pastry topping - delightful. The rest of the party seemed similarly impressed. From the typical English dessert menu, I chose the Bread and butter pudding with custard. Again very good, and a generous portion. The only minor irritation was having to pay three times, for main meals, drinks and desserts. It would be better to have been able to open a "tab". I've never been to a Harvey's pub before, but I doubt this will be my last visit.

I'm pregnant and really craving hot cross buns. I brought someFrom the shop and I asked The owner who was in the kitchen at the time if she could toast themAs I'm really craving them. She turned her nose up and said no she can't. I even offered to pay for her to cook them as I can't eat anything else as I'm so hungry she still said no which I thought was disgusting as your not meant to deny a pregnant women of her cravings I'm disgusted with the service and Everytime she walked past me since I asked she's looked down her nose at me and given me evils! Will not be returning here again!

Another year, another Christmas dinner. I came with a group of 9 people for our annual Christmas meal out-I think it must be the 3rd/4th year running we have come here , which must mean we like it!I had a lovely potato and leek soup for starters, piping hot and very tasty. Some of our party had the Prawn Cocktail, which they said was also very good.Most of us had the traditional Christmas dinner, which again was piping hot, well cooked and served by the friendly Arlington Arms staff, They were very kind and helpful to our group, which consisted of mainly retired people, two of whom had limited or no vision, and they were happy to help in any way required. I had chocolate fudge cake for dessert, which went down a treat after the filling dinner!. We finished off with coffee and mints, and I went home somewhat full up and ready for a nap .There were a few others also enjoying meals and drinks, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Plenty of parking round the back, reasonable prices at the bar, I would certainly recommend the Arlington Arms.

Lovely family run pub with excellent atmosphere. Great to see cards played, lots of banter as well as delicious home cooked food. Had sole and it came with 4 types of vegetables as well as delicious slices of potatoes. Would recommend highly.

The Arlington arms has good food. nothing fancy just good food at a very good price. Two meals a pint and a J2O less than £14. Very good service. Entry from the front is via steps but there is disabled access from the car park at the rear of the pub. There is nothing bigger than a door tread as you enter. The tables are on same level as entry from car park but there is a step down to the bar. The disabled toilet is not marked but is in the ladies toilet.There are tables outside at the rear of the building. The address is 360 Seaside, Eastbourne, Sussex BN22 7RY
