Beautiful carvery waited on by Sandra she was amazing

I go here regularly for a carvery. Plenty of parking, child friendly. Friendly staff, normally a quick service, it can get busy so maybe a 5 min wait in the que. On the whole the food is good quality, never rushed to get eaten n get out. Worth a visit if you're near. Recommended by me.

Found another Stonehouse pub whilst out delivering and just as good as my regulars.. will definitely call in again when in the area. Had a buffet breakfast and everything was spot on..

We booked the Ashbank for our Christmas dinner and it’s safe to say we’ll never be booking again. Upon arrival we were seated straight away at our time slot (3.30) and all seemed ok. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes just for our starter to arrive, baring in mind we had the table for just 2 hours. After 1 hour, i politely let the staff know we hadn’t been served yet to which I was told with an attitude by the chef being the pizza counter that I wasn’t the only one, he’d only just been given our order (we had already pre-ordered weeks ago) and it’d be another 5 minutes. The staff were rude to each other, a young woman with short blonde bobbed hair put her hand up to another staff members face who was asking a question as if to say don’t speak to me and walker straight off. One starter had to go back as it was stone cold. We got to the mains to find out there was no turkey left, along with no stuffing and no mash, barley and veg left and watery gravy. We decided to pass on the desserts after seeing the staff using their fingers to take food off the counter and double dip in the gravy pot and then continue to serve food without washing their hands. I must say the assistant manager was great, very pleasant and did everything he could to help, shame his staff treated him the way they did. I understand no one wants to work Christmas Day but if you choose to work in that industry then you know what you’re signing up to.

Food was delicious and piping hot, staff were good but this was pre-ordered Christmas dinner for click & collect and despite meal requirements having been sent to Ash Bank it had not been sent to kitchen so wasn't ready...I was therefore left waiting in boiling hot bar area for 20 minutes for a meal to take out & wasn't even offered a glass of water during my wait

Sandra welcomed us and offered a fantastic service throughout. She went above and beyond by making sure we were happy with our order and came to check that we were happy with the meal.

Hi we had lovely festive meal here. On 19th of December. I've got to say it was beautiful. Complements to the chef . The service from bar to meal to table service was 1008 % the blond lady who ehors served us at our table was excellent thanks so much . We will be back x

Bar and kitchen staff were great guys 10/10 friendly and helpful, good sence of humour, this is just aimed at the lady night time carvery slicer that has a face like a smacked arse and give me a portion (large carvery) of beef the portion size I'd recommend she should have for herself instead to improve her health. What a rude moody lady indeed. Again I stress that the other staff were great and I'd definitely eat here again.

Tried it again after a poor experience a couple of months ago, no eggs, beans or tomatoes, told us there would be a 20 minute wait if we wanted them....I mean...beans takes 3 minutes in the microwave?!? Not giving it a 3rd chance!! There were 8 of us so not again.

Just Terrible. A hair on one of our dinners. My burger had to be sent back. Dirty glasses. Dirty cutlery. Avoid at all costs. Bill came to over £50 and it was not nice at all.

Service poor only 1 member of staff on bar for both food and drinks.We as we could not get served.Meat beef was tasty, sausages black and burnt, cauliflower cheese good rest of veg quality very poorl ots of children running wild.

Cold veg , frozen sprouts like bullets , very fatty Rib of beef .. not enough staff on the bar , dirty uniforms! Staff just gave tables out without checking the diary. we stood waiting by the door for 10 mins before anyone noticed us . Aunt Bessie yorkshire puds . Cauliflower cold . No sauces topped up ,ie mint sauce. For the price expected more. One star for the lovely young girl trying to clear all the tables on her own , make and fetch tea, and answer customers' queries, needs to be promoted .. Never again sorry 😞

Prices good. Carverys have lots of choice. Breakfasts are lovely too. Staff are lovely. Been to lots of pubs for carverys but always come back to ash bank. Keep up the good work.see you next week
