The Back Burner in Edinburgh, City of

I love that Edinburgh now has take-away that doesn't involve food saturated in grease. The cauliflower Mac and cheese is delicious as are the prawns. My partner had the pork belly and dauphinoise potatoes, said he couldn't fault it! Thanks back burner!

If you want a delicious, restaurant quality meal delivered to your door, this is the place for you. We ordered for three people last week and were delighted with the results. The food is fresh, tasty and wonderfully presented. The pork and salmon were both cooked to perfection, the sides were substantial (easily split between two) and it was all delivered quickly. Will definitely be ordering again.

Have lived in Edinburgh for 6 months and have been sadly disappointed with the take aways we have had here until now! The back burner is exceptional!!!!!!!!!!! We ordered 3 starters (liver pate, mushroom pakora and baked Camembert) and 2 portions of the artisan bread, then two mains (seafood lasagne and fish pie). The food was delivered quickly and piping hot in impressively secure containers and was beautifully presented. The food itself was flavourful, well crafted and utterly delicious! So impressed by the food here it is extremely worth every penny. I can not recommend this restaurant enough...in fact a little disappointed it's takeaway only as they are that good. If you are looking for quality and an alternative to typical takeaway fare this should most definitely be your first call!
