The Ball Room Sports Bar & Pool Hall (Bellshill) in North Lanarkshire

Booked this venue for my daughter's leaving party Feb 2024, excellent venue & perfect size for 70 people although can hold more or less and still look full due to layout of the room. Staff were fantastic and could not do enough to help. It was effortless being the host on the evening as I literally had nothing to do. Looking to book again later in the year for another family celebration.

Brilliant venture for a party, enjoyed a great night in the upstairs function hall. Staff so helpful and friendly, nothing was a problem, thank you!

Great visit to the ballroom.We played pool and snooker and was treated really well.Nothing was too much trouble.Would recommend.

Great place for food and drinks, friendly and accommodating staff, and good atmosphere. We also booked a function using the upstairs in recent weeks and staff couldn’t do enough to make our evening enjoyable. Thank you

I can not thank the staff enough for the best day for my daughters baby shower, staff could not have been any nicer, such a friendly and welcoming place. Hall was grate and would definitely recommend the bellshill ballroom to anyone looking to book a party. Grate space, grate prices, and I would definitely recommend the cocktail slushy, the day was amazing from start to finish, if I have any more parties I will definitely book again. Thank you from all of us!! 😆

I have been a member for a few years. The new owners have invested money in the place and continue to raise the standards. Davy and Alan behind the bar always welcoming and helpful and do a nice pint of Guinness.

Almost £5 per pint of Moretti? They may have misjudged the market...it is Bellshill after all. It's busy enough on a Friday with pool & snooker players but the music volume is waaaay too high for those wanting to chat.

love this place, great place to go for pool, amarican pool, or snooker. staff r great friendly and really helpful. happy and alway willing tae help out if any problems. food is standered ok for a munch. love his place t

My father in law and brother in law both decided to visit the ball room in bellshill after my father in law being in the shielding category for almost 6 months. My father in law has been a member of this facility for over a decade and has also paid to securely store his snooker cues on the property in a locker to which he had keys to as well as a spare kept behind the bar. Due to unforeseen circumstances during the worldwide pandemic, the owners of the ball room bellshill had to sell on which is extremely unfortunate as they have ran the property so well for a long time but the new owner Gerrano has been nothing but unprofessional. As stated beforehand, during this worldwide pandemic, my father in law had no other choice but to shield and not leave the house as he was in the vulnerable category, during this time he was housebound, working from home and unable to leave the house at all. After the relaxed rules were put in place my father in law finally decided that after not leaving the house for months that him and his son would go to the ball room and play some snooker together. Unfortunately upon arrival his locker was lying wide open with not one single snooker cue left inside which was not the way that he had left it. He had 4 snooker cues in his locker that he had paid for in order to keep his cues safe, bearing in mind he has had to shield for the last 6 months due to the current worldwide pandemic. Gerrano has since then taken matters into his own hands by harassment of not only myself but my partner and her brother through social media over something that either him personally or his staff have done. He has asked why my father in law hadn’t been to collect his property in person when he has been told that my father in law was in the shielding category. He has stated that it was the previous owners who took the cues but the bar woman working said that it was the new owners and there was nothing that she could do, completely contradictory. We have since been in contact with the old owners who have stated that they have been out of the property for that long there would be no way possible for them to take my father in law’s property. Gerrano has also continued to boast over social media that he’s got great finances and would even use the cues to which had nothing to do with the subject in hand. If it was possible to give 0/5 that’s what they deserve. I hope they are shut down promptly as the unprofessionalism speaks volumes. How many more people does this need to happen to before he is stopped?

Been here to play pool a few times, however the tables are needing replaced and they’re not flat seems to be a roll on them

Attended the ball room last night for a game of snooker with some friends. The snooker room is possibly one of the best in the west of Scotland, the tables are highly maintained and spotless. Pub was surprisingly busy especially for a Tuesday night. Staff are friendly and helpful.

On both occasions my party and I frequented the Ballroom in Bellshill whilst under the charge of the "Manageress", we were firstly blamed for the lack of chalk as if it was our fault the chalk was lost or stolen, then to top it all off, on our second visit, she lost my membership card and shrugged her shoulders as if to say, so what!... then left it to other staff members to sort out. Haven't been back since and don't intend to either. Coatbridge and the Glasgow Ballrooms had excellent service and very approachable friendly staff

Great night at the Ballroom with the family. Few games of snooker with kids and a lovely meal to finish it off.

Horrendous set up and owners treat staff like dirt. Shocking lack of professionalism and will not be back. Visited a few other of these franchises and have had a great night, but this one is terrible with an atmosphere you could cut with a knife. Every problem is treated like your bothering the staff, who seem to be constantly on edge . Won't be back and think the management need to realise that they have a real issue here. Will be using another Ball Room in Coatbridge in the future.

Travelled up from the midlands so were looking for somewhere to go in the evening for a drink and a light bite. We're not posh and just wanted somewhere decent and to have a game of pool etc. From the outside it does not look amazing just average, go inside however and we were amazed. The staff were great, the food and drinks very good and the inside was lovely and clean and the toilets were better than some 4 star hotels ive ran. Everyone was friendly we were 300 miles from home and id rather come here than to some locally to me. If this is how Scotland is England has got a lot to learn!

Private room for hire is cold. Drinks prices good and food ok when you can get it. During the week the kitchen closes earlier than billed.

Very friendly staff and lots of nice big tvs. The food is really nice and cheap at the same time. Come here time and time again, the atmosphere is welcoming and i cant fault it
