It was a special birthday and the staff could not has made me feel more valued. They were first class!

We came for lunch on a Saturday and we were seated fairly quickly however we noticed that other customers who arrived after us were receiving their food. We waited 45 minutes and were concerned they had forgotten our order and had to chase up with our server. The food took an additional 10-15 minutes to arrive after this and they forgot to bring out our starters, we didn't even bother bringing it up because at this point we were fed up and wanted to have our mains and leave as soon as possible. The food was okay but quite pricey for what it was. I wouldn't come back here again as the service was very poor.

Wonderful meal here, the staff were very welcoming and did not rush us, we enjoyed Fish & Chips and Pork Belly both of which were really delicious and hope to try more from the menu. Most highly recommend.

I visited recently and was blown away by the whole experience! The food was spot on, especially the 8oz rump – I can't fault the taste, quality, or presentation. The service was top-notch too; I loved the warm greeting and helpful recommendations. I can't wait to come back and try out some different dishes next time. Overall, a fantastic time that I’d highly recommend!

Just enjoyed a brilliant festive dinner! The food was incredible – everything from the 8oz rump to the buttermilk chicken burger was top-notch. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was flawless; the team was so friendly and welcoming. I did notice the drinks could use a bit of improvement, but overall, they made my experience unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back for another meal!

High on visibility low on quality! When you are paying so much at least food should be good - Ordered full 3 courses for my daughter , could not eat her mains, past was served in tin sauce with no taste. I ordered pasta , just not good! Ruined Xmas lunch afternoon . Service was poor , understand the rush but need to be organised.

Service was incredible. Very friendly staff! Starters and mains was delicious. Had sticky toffee pudding and it tasted like a whole bag of sugar was in one slice. Disgustingly sweet and had to leave it after taking two bites. Was very very disappointed.

Christmas food was very dry and cold, very expensive for the quality. Table was over charged and we were told to 'figure it out' by staff and my colleague had to pass out her own money to cover costs ( which was taken off the meal at the end). Despite requesting a refund to our own cards from staff. Wouldn't go again very disappointing. Decor and atmosphere was fine.

I usually go to the Beechouse in Beaconsfield which is 1000 times better than this one! Firstly we walked in, said hello to the waiter (thinking he’d be friendly, but he wasn’t) he barely even acknowledged us, he was very odd, didn’t speak much, and nor was he welcoming towards us. Told him we’d like a table for 2, he sat us down and just left the menus, and walked off, no smiling or asking us how our days going nothing, absolutely terrible service! I’ve never encountered this behaviour from any of the Beechouses, even the one in Amersham is lovely, their staff are always friendly and smiling. The tables were filthy, there were so many flies flying around our food, it all seemed really unhygienic and dirty, I was shocked considering this was fairly new. This Beechouse was so disappointing. When it came to ordering food, we had to call the waiter over because he didn’t come back to us, so when he took our order, he didn’t seem to understand anything we were asking him. I asked a simple question “I’m a vegetarian, is it possible to get a rigatoni arriabiata pasta?” He looked so lost he just said “I’m not sure” so I said can u please ask the chef, then he said ok. He came back and said they can do penne pasta not rigatoni (which is odd considering they have rigatoni pasta on their menu) but I said ok that’s fine, I’ll have one of those in an al forno. Then he asked me “did u want everything else inside”? Like what does that even mean? An Al forno is literally just cheese on top of pasta and baked in the oven. So I asked him what he meant, and he said do u want meat inside your pasta? Even though I clearly told him I’m a vegetarian so I don’t want any meat, or any vegan style meat just a plain penne arrabita pasta with mozzarella cheese baked. And he said ok and just walked off. He came back later with my food, it was penne pasta with VEGAN cheese, I never asked for vegan cheese. It smelt bad, and then I tasted it and it was even worse, then I scraped all the vegan cheese off and decided to eat the pasta, the pasta was awful, it tasted like boiled pasta and tinned tomatoes, no salt, pepper, chilli, garlic or any sort of seasoning. It was the worst pasta I’ve ever tasted! I usually get this pasta from the beechouse in beaconsfield and they always make it taste amazing. However this was the 1st time I came to the Watford one, and unfortunately I will never come again! The manager then came to see us, she was actually really nice, it’s a shame we didn’t get served by her instead. As our waiter was just so unbothered, never once asked us if we’re ok or if we need anything, he couldn’t care less if we were paying customers or not. He just looked like he didn’t want to be there. And sadly because of him and his awful service we won’t ever come back. The chefs need to improve on their cooking, because everything was disappointing even my husband didn’t enjoy his food, he said it lacked flavour and was very greasy. We’ve never had a bad experience with a Beechouse until now! I think you need to get new staff in.

We absolutely love dining at The Beechhouse in Watford! This is our third time traveling from South West London, and it’s always worth the journey. The food is simply spectacular – the Chicken Sunday Roast is perfectly cooked, and the Camembert Burger is an indulgent delight! The attention to detail in both dishes truly sets them apart. The staff are fantastic, making the experience even better. Alex provided exceptional service, ensuring every detail was taken care of, and the manager Deborah was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Their warmth and professionalism create such a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Thank you, Beechhouse team, for consistently delivering excellent food and service. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Thanks to the watford beech house this afternoon fantastic afternoon having few drinks and deciding to stay for Sunday roast and desserts lovely and Christmassy and saw santa in there when we arrived lovely has always great management and team they have always make my husband and me welcome well done to them meal 110 percent

Nice place and kind staff… they just seem to be constantly overwhelmed and everything takes forever. Over 90min from point of sitting down to leaving the restaurant for a pizza !! Utterly slow

Tasty food and would recommend to anyone. I ordered the small plate which was Italian meatballs. My partner had pork belly which just fell apart. My mam and her partner had pie with vegetables and it was delicious.

Just had an excellent meal! The buttermilk chicken burger and fish & chips were both spot on—great taste and lovely presentation. The staff, especially Alfie, really made my visit special with their warm service. The place was spotless and the atmosphere was perfect for a night out. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

Went to the Beech House last night for an early dinner before going to the Palace Theatre. It was fairly quiet when we entered the restaurant but soon got fairly busy! We had a lovely server, Alex, who was professional, polite and knowledgeable and he took our drinks order and gave us time to peruse the menu. The house wine came in a cute carafe (look at the photo!) and was surprisingly fairly decent for the price! We did ask to taste 2 rosè wines and that was no problem at all. We then ordered the 'puccia' bread with garlic and basil marinated tomatoes - which was absolutely delicious! We were asked if we wanted the puccia bread first or with our meal, and we were surprised how quickly the bread was served - in a good way. We both chose pasta dishes, my husband the spaghetti bolognaise - my husband was a bit disappointed as it seemed to just lack flavour - and his spaghetti was chopped up - very odd - it was also luke-warm! I ate the rigatoni calabraise al forno which had generous pieces of chorizo, chicken and tomatoes and was in a delicious spicy tomato sauce - a huge portion and was piping hot! I couldn't eat all my dish, so shared it with my husband who hardly ate his bolognaise! I know the food, sauces etc etc are all made in-house and it shows in most of the dishes they serve here. We've had enjoyable brunches in the past and also pizza etc, so it was surprising to get one lacklustre pasta dish - perhaps the recipe needs tweaking (the reason for 4* and not 5* in my review)? All-in-all, we enjoyed our time at the Beech House, and Alex made our dinner even more so, by being just a lovely, genuine server who actually loves what he does! The restaurant was lovely and warm on a cold evening and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. It's generally a good place to eat tbh.

The Beech House is a family favorite! The menu is so yummy and the vibe in this space is cozy and chic. My husband and I love to share the small plates, Lebanese Fries and panko breaded peppadews are top choices. They have a special, pick 3 for 15£ - amazing. We haven't done brunch yet at Beech House but I would like to! Thanks for always taking such great care of us, staff! We will be coming back to see you again soon

The kicked me out because i was finishing milkshake from five guys while also having a beer( i ordered it at the place). So yeah Don’t recommend

I was shopping in Watford on Saturday and popped into the Beach House with my children. The manager who seated us was really lovely, she chatted with the kids and gave them some colouring pencils. The kids menu was great! Three courses for £12, not your average meals either. Pizza was amazing. We will definitely we back during half term!

Had an amazing time when i came for dinner with my sister. The food was amazing and the service was great! I’ll definitely be coming back. Special thanks to Joao and Debra for making sure we were well taken care of.

Our second time here. The first was lovely. I dont know whats happened in 12 months. ALL of the food we ordered was incredibly greasy. We ordered fish goujons and chips for our 2 year old and there was more oily batter than fish. When you got to the fish it was awfully greasy. The chips were just as oily and he outright refused to eat. We had to rush lunch so we could get food elsewhere. Husband ordered the simplicity burger which he said was nice but again the chips were awful and left a funky aftertaste. I ordered the sea bass which was a mistake. There was hardly any fish meat, all, the veg was greasy and sloppy, some of the beans were on the uncooked side and there was a pool of oil around the food (because it wasnt greasy enough). For £60 this was a joke. We will not be back for food anyways. This place is great for drinks, they have a lovely bar!

We arrived without a reservation and were lucky they had space available. The food was good, and we were pleased with the quality of the pizzas. We’re surprised to see fewer ratings for this restaurant, as we believe it deserves more. Overall, we had a great dining experience.

Really lovely atmosphere and was made to feel most welcome by the manager. Food was tasty, and a good size too! There’s also some good drink deal I.e £4 a pint which is a rarity in London and the surrounding areas. I’ll definitely be going back.

Walked into the restaurant and got dirty looks immediately. Waiting 20 mins roughly before getting drink orders in. Food and drink came fast which was nice, staff clearly don’t like their jobs, never check on the table to ensure everything was okay. All jobs took way longer than it needed to be. After asking for the bill the waitress wondered off to help others and forgot about the bill. Flies everywhere, way overpriced for such simple meals. Wouldn’t recommend.

Lovely time and place! Went there with my partner for dinner last night and could not recommend more!

Service was good but food was not … ordered veg starters to share and one arrived tasteless and one over sauced! For the prices I would have expected better. Was told by the manager that there is a secret menu which I should have asked for and sauce on the side of I did not like it drizzled!

Had dinner here with my partner and her parents, and it was a lovely evening out! I was a little wary of the prices at first, but once the food arrived I realised they were a good size (very filling!) and we definitely got our money's worth. Service was efficient and very friendly too.

I celebrated my son's 1st birthday at this restaurant last Saturday and it was a wonderful event, with impeccable service! The food was excellent, and the service was truly outstanding. The manager, Deborah, assisted us with a level of professionalism that's hard to find in the UK, along with great friendliness. The place was also very beautiful and clean! The event was a success, and my guests loved everything and gave many compliments! I highly recommend it!

Booked a table on a Friday evening, arrived to find it wasn’t too busy. Waited 20 minutes after being sat down to no members of staff acknowledging us so decided to leave, member of staff just said thank you as we were leaving. Saw a lot of staff chatting and waiting around as well so didn’t seem like it was an issue of being too busy or understaffed. Really disappointing when I’d booked in advance and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Don’t recommend.

Went here with my best friend on a Friday evening. The atmosphere was excellent - we were immediately told by the staff member who greeted us that it was tapas and salsa night, and the live DJ really helped to bring the good vibes. Food quality was excellent. I had a margherita pizza with mushrooms and the triple chocolate brownie with ice cream. Service could have been better, I wasn't sure if they were simply understaffed at the time or not making the rounds enough. It was also not clear if we were required to walk to the bar or a similar service area and order our food or if servers would tend to us.

Went on a Sunday at 6pm and had booked a table. Arrived and the restaurant was empty, we weee told our table wasn’t ready! Seated and given menus. A while later the waitress returned to take our order. I asked for a roast, only to be told they had none left….something we should have been told when we were seated. After a while our food started to arrive but not all at the same time. There was about 10mins between it all arriving. Staff seemed disinterested in the customers. Food was moderate not great. Very over priced.

I recently went here with some of my work girls after work for drinks and pizza. The service was amazing and really quick! our bartender Adam was so polite and very efficient. The bottomless pizza is a must! all of the pizza was cooked perfectly and we had a wonderful evening there. Couldn't fault the customer service.

Busy Saturday and the football was on too so they could have done with more staff. However the staff were friendly and the food delicious.

A week ago, my friends and I tried the bottomless pizzas at the Beech house. We were impressed with the service. The pizzas came quickand it was delicious, the lady server was professional and friendly. The bartender was quick in serving the drinks and he was lovely with a beautiful and welcoming smile. Very pleased 😀 I highly recommend.

We came here for my birthday lunch and service was terrible. Firstly, bartender was clueless. Served a gin cocktail in a whiskey glass, didn’t make it right as it was missing ingredients and actually forgot to make it in the first place as twenty minutes after we ordered it and he said he’d bring it to the table we had to go and ask him where it was! Our starters came before our drinks! It was not even busy at the time that we went so even less of an excuse as to why the service was so appalling. The worst thing about this place is the care free attitude of the staff including management, and how argumentative they are with their customers! No wonder the staff are terrible and don’t care about their service! We even had to ask for cutlery. When we initially spoke to one of the managers he didn’t apologise and was very very rude. Other people on their tables were also very unhappy with the service. Another manager that we spoke to was marginally better however choosing her favourite dessert to bring over as an apology which none of us even liked/ got the option of did not suffice. We could have been celiacs or dairy free for all she knew but she didn’t bother to ask! Absolute waste of money, do not come here. The service is awful and even if you complain, they simply do not care.

Two of us visited Thursday evening. It was 9pm and quiet. The staff were pleasant. One of us ordered the chicken and chips. The chips were fine, the side salad was fresh but the chicken was burnt. The other meal ordered was the gluten alternative pasta with chorizo and prawn. It was very dry and we were only offered cheese for the pasta half way through eating it. Although we were offered sauces when they brought the food to the table. I told the waiter we couldn't eat the chicken as it was burned, he apologised, yet we were still charged full price plus service charge. It was our first time there but we won't be back.

The restaurant decor is nice but that’s about it, we ordered the chicken wings and they were cold at the bone, we was told this was due to the chicken being brought in frozen and they weren’t sure if it comes in raw. Madness!

We had a wonderful meal at the Beech House. Needed to get some energy for the Harry Potter tour and our meal and coffee were just perfect. Lovely atmosphere and amazing staff. Would highly recommend the Beech House to all!

Went in for some early friday evening cocktails. Nice atmosphere, not too busy, friendly and welcoming staff. Some delicious cocktails expertly mixed by Amelia, who recommended the limoncello spritz!

I went to The Beech House twice recently to watch Euro 2024 with friends. We ordered pizzas and I have to say there were twice very tasty and well made! Service was good and I liked the design of the inside. Prices are reasonable, I’ll be visiting this restaurant more often now.

Great place, we loved it, kids loved it. Great for a casual family meal and value for money. Staff really really helpful and we have 2 kids. Kids meal had lots of variety and the kids ate for once. Would make this one of our regular spots

As a regular visitor to Beech House Amersham I expected Beech House Watford to live up to the same high standards but I could not have been more wrong. Very slow service. Drinks took 15 minutes to arrive and waited 30 minutes for food even though the restaurant was virtually empty. They have a small menu compared to Amersham. When food did arrive one portion was overpriced for what we got and chicken in my dish was burnt. Needless to say we will not be going back. Only positive is that deserts arrived quickly and were OK.

The sausages did not contain meat just some kind of weird fake meat wrapped in sausage skin, the bacon is smoked and the hash browns are small for the pricing it was not a good a breakfast. It was ok in terms of the food quality, I wouldn't recommend going here because it is over priced and not good value for money

So, I can't fault the people, they were great BUT the food took over 40 mins that by the time I received it I didn't have time to eat it before I had to rush off. Very disappointing. (The rest of my group all received theirs in good time).

First time I went - we were told there was a 40min wait for food - my niece is 11 and really wanted to try it so we said ok - 45 mins later no food and we were busy watching people who got there after us eating. One table gave up and left and we asked - ‘another 15mins’. An hour and five after we ordered we ate. They gave us drinks on the house and were friendly but should have told us. Fries were good tho.

We were at the Beech House today. They assured us the waiting time for the food is about 30-40min which we agreed on. Unfortunately we needed to wait more than an hour for our food and we haven't even had an update how long will take our food to be served. Unfortunately I can't leave less than 1 star for the service provided otherwise I would. We were very disappointed!

Don’t waste your time going there, I ordered a pizza Margherita and chopped avocado with egg. The pizza was absolutely disgusting, the avocado old how can they even sell this? Not even worth £5

I've visited the restaurant various times and I've tried food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food does taste great but the last 3 times the service has not been up to standard. Forgetting an item of the dish, waiting for over 1 hour for food without a warning or update, staff not returning when they said they would, getting drinks order incorrect twice. If they can sort these then I would definitely give it another go again. But for now all I could recommend from this location is the quality of the food.

Very disappointed with the food here! We ordered couple of the starters and wow the Mac and cheese tasted like cardboard, it was so bland that even when I put salt on it for some taste it still tasted horrible. The burrata was ok but the flat bread was soo hard I couldn’t cut through it! The service was ok, friendly but they just leave you to it with no care or checking up on you! The place wasn’t even busy. Never will be retuning!

The main courses were delicious - we had pizzas, fish & chips and mac’n’cheese. Thought dessert would be great too but it was really disappointing except for the apple pie. The ice cream was watery and the brownies were solid & claggy. Service was friendly but they did leave us for long periods. Atmosphere was really nice.
