The Beehive Restaurant in Manchester

Had a delicious lunch yesterday (4th December 2024) with my famous colleague, David. He chose confit leg of duck; I had whole plaice with capers. Both were truly excellent; my plaice was creamy, melt-in-the-mouth, cooked to perfection. Our waiter was outstanding; his colleagues similarly first class. The atmosphere was 'buzzy', the eclectic clientele ranged from trendy young things to greying academics (one with the longest white beard I'd ever seen). Totally memorable; if you haven't been, you're missing out!

A fantastic little University restaurant with excellent food, wonderful staff and a great seasonal menu with a regular update. Have eaten here more times than I can count and the food and service is constantly the best on campus. Please note, they close for a few weeks every summer.

Smart new addition to the University café scene in Manchester with fresh restaurant menu and a familiar range of snacks and drinks. After over a year, this is still a great breakfast venue with nourishing hand-cooked favourite dishes.

Great coffee, great food, great service, great atmosphere, great place to get some work done. Spent a very productive day at the Beehive today, will definitely be back!
