Nice pub hidden in Saint-Pancras station. Good place for a beer, the food was however not amazing. The bread of beef sandwich was incredibly dry, even if the meat itself and the sauce were good. Another note on service because that count too. We visited on December 19th for lunch, and the young man with the (green I think) overshirt was very nice. However the grumpy dark-haired lady behind the bar not so much. I know we all have bad days, but still. If she dislikes customers that much, maybe the hospitality industry is not for her. I was polite and nice to her when we ordered beers at the bar, she didn's say hello, made me repeat my order 3 times in a pretty condescending way, even though I know my English isnt that bad, there was no need to be rude like that. She had overall a pretty rude attitude, and not just to me, to everyone ordering. For that reason only I won’t return.

The food was substantially beneath the standard I had expected. The chips tasted far from fresh, the steak was clearly a cheap cut and, worst of all, not cooked to specification. I requested medium rare but received blue. I will not be returning.

The pub is conveniently located within St Pancras station and has been created from various former station rooms. The interiors are comfortable and interesting. The menu is a slightly elevated pub food and there's a good range of beers and wines. Prices are average for central London. We've been before and really like the food and atmosphere. Service on this visit was somewhat slow. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful but I think they may have been understaffed. We will still go again

The pub is in a great location, especially as we had some colleagues arriving on the Eurostar. The decor is really nice and the tables and chairs are comfortable. The food is decent and nicely presented. The serving of the courses was nicely paced, but the staff could have been more on the ball in terms of clearing glasses and plates, and keeping an eye on drinks (we kept having to ask for water), but I suspect like many places they are generally short-staffed. Overall a good experience for our team's Christmas lunch and we will come again as the location works well for us.

I don't usually post negative reviews if it can be helped but I had a really bad experience here recently. We arrived late on Sunday, it would've been about 7pm and the pub was still quite busy (aside from the dining room which I was informed was reservation only...despite being empty and late in the day). I ordered at the bar and told the chap I wanted to split the payment across two cards but ended up paying on one as he didn't seem to understand that. Not the end of the world, Sundays are busy, he might be tired, etc etc, not going to make a fuss about that. We took a seat next to three lads who had clearly been there for quite a while. They initially started being a bit of a nuisance, trying to give us weird rubber ducks and chat with us, generally drunk and annoying but nothing out of the ordinary for a Sunday evening. I think what irked me most was when the bar staff came over with a tray of free shots for these idiots. They could see the state these guys were in, they could see them being a nuisance to me and my party but still thought plying them with free booze was a good idea? Baffling. Toilets were an absolute disgrace as well. It's a shame, I've been to the Betjeman arms a bunch of times in the past as it's a really convenient location and generally have always had a really nice time there but the latest outing has really left a sour taste in my mouth. Avoid.

As always, the Betjeman Arms did not disappoint. A lovely, buzzy atmosphere, clean tables and a delicious breakfast. The food here is far far superior to the usual boring grub offered in many railway stations (and airports). However, the thing that makes the pub stand out is the lovely staff and I want to particularly give a shout out to Britney. Britney served my partner and me last time we came here and I was very pleased to see her again because it's nice to see a familiar face in a setting where the usual state of affairs would be fast turnover of staff. When we ate here before, Britney had had to handle the tricky situation of asking us to change tables because a large party was booking in to the back dining room. She did this with real grace and professionalism which continued while she took our order for food and drinks. She had gone off shift by the time we left and I should have made the effort to comment on here then. The reason I am doing this now is because of an earlier unkind comment about her in another review. Members of staff here are just that and they do not have a final say over what tables are free for the public to use or not. The back dining room is currently closed as I write and, I'm assuming, would remain closed even if the bar, snug and station front dining area were heaving due to staffing levels (both front-of-house and in the kitchen), prior bookings, and management choice. Please do not bully or be mean to the young people working in this place. They are all working hard to make coming here a sweet experience but sometimes members of the public have to look beyond or set aside their expectations or even just give staff a moment to explain. Thank you, Britney and all your lovely colleagues for making me feel welcome, looking after me and cooking me a fab breakfast. Kate x

Buzzing bar space with a warm/fun atmosphere, lovely outdoor terraces (both inside & out) that allow you to admire the station architecture and a beautiful dining area towards the back of the pub for something a little more formal. I give it a low score because this pub is as just a tourist/ traveller trap. No atmosphere, staff good but no personality. I'm local so I recommend the authentic boozers nearby like the Dolphin literally across the rd. Proper landlord there. Or the Skinners even . Or the Boot which is proper old school London. This pub in no reflects the vibrancy of the area nor the character. It's inauthentic and overpriced. Made for the visitor . No local would be seen dead . I visited to see it but never again.

This review will be in two halves for fairness. First Half: I booked a 7pm table for 5 on Thurs, 3rd Oct. We got there and there was no table prepared, we were then offered to small round tables. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco at the bar. The wait was 5+ mins. We then received a warm, unopened bottle, with no bucket nor glasses (??!!) as nobody behind the bar knew how to open the bottle!!! The service just was not there and after 30 mins we decided to leave... (Rating: 3/10) Second Half: Just before leaving, I went to the toilet and found the dinning area. I asked the lady who seemed to be in charge if there was a possibility of a table. She found one and was FANTASTIC & WAS ON POINT ALL NIGHT!!! When she found a table, that's when our evening started! She knew everything about the menu, ensured we had everything we needed and transformed our evening. (Rating: 10/10)

Wonderful evening spent at this cosy, welcoming pub. High quality in everything, especially considering is a station pub - furnishings, decor, menu. Bit of a tardis too, with so many areas - pub, snug, large dining room, outside seating - both front and on to station platform, which is special. We came in to warm up and ended staying 5 hours! Delicious, warming food - especially recommend the sausages and mash and the extremely substantial chicken and leek pie. Staff were friendly and funny. Only slight criticism was food service was a little slow, to bring and to clear.

Twenty of us from all over the world gathered in a private dining room for a lunch which lasted from midday until after six o’clock! It was an absolutely perfect venue and we could not have been more pleased with our choice. The food, reasonably-priced, which everyone had chosen for themselves via the very useful online booking system, was excellent. The service however was splendid. We were made to feel welcome from the start, and our charming and patient hostess could not have done more to make us welcome; she was a very important part of our day. I am sorry I can’t remember her name but she will know who she is! I love this restaurant/pub. You have the choice of having a light lunch which you can order at the bar or, my preferred option, sitting down in the lovely dining room which has waiter service and great views of Kings Cross station from the windows. Also, there is no music which for me is a big bonus - I could hear everything my friend said! The double or triple glazing is extremely effective because you can’t hear the noise around Kings Cross station. In short, you could be sitting in a country pub, not in the middle of London town. The food is very good as is the wine list. My one suggestion is that they make the vegetarian and vegan options more imaginative (eg. use beans and pulses).

We have been coming here as a family for over 25 years, before we had our son and after, he's now 20. I travelled solo to London today and sent a photo of my Aperol Sprotz to my husband and son saying guess where I am! They both said it would be rude, as a Kelly, to pass by without dropping in. For a train station pub you would think it's just a stop off but we have so many memories. My son watching the eurostar, us introducing our son to a safe space in London where you can relax and always have the best service. My husband and son met up with a group of friends before the Championship playoffs and had the best time. I met my sister during the covid restrictions and the staff could not have done more to accommodate us in torrential rain, hiding us under big heated umbrellas. And today. Knowing that I can drop in and have the best Aperol Spritz in the sunshine. It always feels like greeting an old friend, comforting and warm. Go now. I could sit there all day.

What a superb venue for lunch. Three of us met here on a weekday lunchtime. We had attended Leicester University fifty years ago and had recently been in contact for the first time since then. The setting is stunning, designed in the 1880s by George Gilbert Scott, it is an iconic, listed, red brick building and the interiors are no less impressive. The restaurant takes full advantage of its history and retains much of the original features. The menu is good, the food delicious and the service impeccable. Meal was lovely but apart from the chap behind the bar who was helpful and actually spoke the waiting staff were the most miserable bunch we've ever encountered. I was with my son who runs a restaurant and he said if any of his staff had served their customers like we were served he'd tell them to go back and do it again. The girl who gave us our cutlery didn't even look at us, she just dropped the cutlery on the table while looking the other way. The man who brought our food didnt say a word and again nothing when I said thank you when he cleared the plates. I then fell off the step as our table was up on a ledged area and not one member of staff came to ask if I was ok, not even when I walked past the bar limping. I went right over hitting the wall, even other customers gasped but nothing from the staff. I've hurt my knee and both arms yet not one single member of staff showed any concern. Hadn't even had any alcohol! Good food let down by awful and rude staff.

Shout out the manager Bobby for being super friendly and welcoming Will visit again next time I’m passing through the station!🍻

Visited this place for the first time today, while I was waiting to catch a train. I was served by Bobby who was super friendly and helpful! I ordered a selection of food off the ‘while you wait’ bit of the menu which were all delicious. Will visit again :)

Great pub usually but let me down on Saturday. I ordered the full English which arrived with no bacon and only a single hash brown when the menu states "browns", plural, more than one. The bar could always use one extra server too.

Had a working lunch with three colleagues on Friday and thoroughly enjoyed my sirloin steak and triple-cooked chips. We were also able to spend several hours working thanks to the plentiful sockets under the tables. Perfect for the business project we worked on. And the coffee was excellent too.

Busy pub near St Pancras. Service was very slow. Tables were not very clean. It was so overpriced. £40 for a bottle of wine! The food was OK but nothing spectacular. I guess they are aiming at the tourists headed for Eurostar so don't really care about cleanliness or service. Or prices

The bar feels a little like a small town, old man's pub - sofas so well worn you can slouch, sticky tables etc. I enjoy that though. There are some other rooms beyond the main bar that are more formal and look a nice place to have dinner. The outside beer garden (within the station) is a nice addition. Friendly service.

My husband & I stopped by this pub after exploring the British Museum. It was easily the best food & experience that we had in London. The staff was very kind to us lost Americans & let us eat there between reservations so that we could experience the full menu. We were so extremely grateful for this. We had excellent drinks & the BEST Fish & Chips/Sunday Roast. We've been recommending this pub to anyone who will listen because it is THAT good. We can't thank them enough for making our honeymoon so special & going out of their way for us when they did not have to do so.

Grabbed a pint to end the night, and it was full of conversation and music. A nice place to have a chat.

The waiters were not nice, I paid with a gift card and there was no money when I gave him another one, he told me that he only scanned one, when I could always scan several. It was rude, and the tables were dirty. There are no restrooms for customers.

Lovely time upstairs.... Mind the steps! Food limited, but having our own room was awesome. Difficult getting the drinks upstairs...
