The Blackbird in Kensington and Chelsea

What a find it was! The Blackbird is so brilliantly located next to Earls Court tube. All the staff were exceptional, courteous, friendly and helpful. The beers were at the right temperature and they did Fuller proud (it’s a Fullers pub with excellent London Pride!) Our room (Arnold) was brilliant. Bed was super comfy, sheets were crisp and I love the auto blue lighting in the bathroom, fantastic! Although it’s next to the main road, with the sound proofing windows you could hardly hear it. (Be aware there are some steep stairs, but they do have a lift!) Breakfast was plentiful with a great selection and the yogurts were delicious! Full English, eggs Benedict, veggie and vegan options, you name it! If The Blackbird Earls Court is the standard, we’ll be using Fuller’s accommodation in the future and we’ll be back to The Blackbird next time we visit London.

Very rude service. I have been here many times over the years but today, dining with my husband, children and mother I encountered some of the rudest service I have ever had. When I stay in earls court this was usually my go to place where we ate often. Never again. Very disappointing on many levels.

Went there for dinner which was excellent. Had their sharing pie board for two and loved them all.

Wonderful pub with excellent food (Pie's highly recommended)! It is also practical to spend the night in the cozy rooms. Very well and quietly located, 3 minutes walk from Earls Court metro station (District Line) or several bus lines.

Salty reheated food. Drinks and beer okay though. Part of Fullers national chain of pubs. We probably would not return.

We only had breakfast and it was a great English breakfast. Very pleasant service and atmosphere.

I thought it was the best fish and chips in the world. Large, crunchy and crispy texture. The inside is fluffy. After eating such delicious fish and chips, I don't think I'll ever be able to eat anything else in Japan! The best! The staff were smiling and the space was comfortable.

For £11 you get at least 4 mini-mini-mini briskets, so you feel a bit ripped off... wouldn't go here again and definitely wouldn't recommend the pub. Regular customers not welcome.

Nice pub in the hotel with a cosy atmosphere. Delicious classic dishes and very friendly and courteous service. Highly recommended despite the slightly higher prices.

A very nice and cozy pub. The food is good, but the service is quite rude. I got the feeling that it was just a nuisance to the waiters. No experience on the hotel side, only on the pub side.

Very disappointed that we could not gain admission due to the door policy of home fans only. I had my Chelsea season ticket but my two friends were not allowed entry as they were not Chelsea supporters. I was happy to vouch for them. They both have Cerebral Palsy, highly unlikely to be disruptive, surely the rule could have been bent a little?

We came for a Sunday roast and it was really nice, also the staff was great….we arrived at 14:45 and we left at 21:00 as we spent a really nice afternoon in here.

I went to this pub on a Wednesday night for food, drinks and reading my book. When I entered I was ignored by all staff, so I sat down and looked at my menu. After 15 minutes no one came to take my order, so I decided to order at the bar. The woman I ordered from seemed to have had a very bad day and was utterly lethargic. She prepared my drink and noted where I sat. As I sat down again, both tables next to me filled with couples and they were immediately greeted by servers to inquire if they wanted food and drinks or just drinks. So there was service, just not for me it seemed. Miraculously my food was brought to my table, but I wasn't asked if I wanted condiments. That that option existed I only learned when the people next to me got their food. Fish and chips was decent, but expensive and could have profited from more chips and tartare sauce. The wait staff spent most of the evening standing to the right, flirting with each other, gossiping about the patrons and pulling pranks on each other. When I wanted another drink I ordered at the bar again, since no one had come to pick up my empty plate since I cleared it 15 minutes ago. There I was greeted by a very tall waiter who seemed the only one that evening intent on working. He prepared my cocktail for me and was friendly. Service seems to really vary, as written in other reviews. All in all a charming pub with ok food, but be aware you might have to wait on yourself.

Piccolo hotel (The Blackbird) che occupa i piani superiori di uno stabile storico al cui piano terra c'è un pub altrettanto storico, il Fuller's. E' stata una di quelle scoperte che si vorrebbero tenere segrete. Accoglienza, staff giovane e sempre disponibile, ottima la cucina del pub, il tutto ben tenuto in rapporto alla categoria, tutto veramente perfetto. Poi la posizione, a pochi metri dalla linea Piccadilly della subway, in un bel quartiere vivace e tranquillo. Veramente super, una grande scoperta.

Great hotel on the best location. Rooms are good, the bed is really small but comfortable. And the the breakfast, that's a really feast, plenty of choice and great tastes!!

Nice rooms, good bed and nice bathroom. Close to the metro station, about 2 minutes walk. The food is delicious, nice breakfast where you can choose from hot dishes.

Visited for a Sunday Roast. Meal looked very good, but enjoyment was lowered by the bef being around 40% fat, and the tiny amount of gravy made the meal way too dry to me. Never once did anyone check whether or not my meal was satisfactory.

We came here on a Saturday evening for a few drinks and a bite to eat. Cocktails were really lovely. We ordered some bar snacks to share… Camembert, chicken goujons, cheese bites and 2 portions of chips. I’d be embarrassed to serve the 3 TINY and dry chicken goujons that cost £10 to a customer. Same goes for the 3 cheese bites which were also £10. We spent almost £50 on that food, really small portion size for the prices.

Perfect location, very friendly staff, top service, good breakfast! Pub in the hotel impresses with good drinks and excellent food! Completely satisfied.

The staff are amazing. The quality of food and drink is incredible. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. I couldn’t ask for a better pub to go and eat and drink.

Rudest, most unpleasant bar staff you will ever meet. By asking for a drink you are making these scum have to put their phones down and serve you, and by God they let you know it. A place to avoid.

Después de nuestro registro - en un hotel cercano, estábamos hambrientos de una buena comida y encontramos justo eso en The Blackbird en Earl's Court. Servicio amable en un ambiente cálido y acogedor pub. Pedí la mejilla de buey especial y pastel de carne Stilton con papas fritas triples cocidas, puerros y una salsa de vino tinto. Devoré el pastel de carne, las patatas fritas eran perfectas y la cerveza London Pride estaba glaseando el pastel. Venga a comer pasteles de carne, quédese a comer ales en un acogedor rincón de Earl’s Court, y luego puede quedarse literalmente en una de las habitaciones sobre el pub.

Ce n'est pas la première fois que nous nous arrêtons pour prendre un english breakfast ici. Le cadre est agréable. La carte assez large. Nous avons à chaque fois bien apprécié. Il y a beaucoup de monde et la queue pour s y installer.

Visited the pub when visiting Stamford bridge for drinks and food, very good food and nice venue for a drink.

Mi esposa y yo tuvimos el desayuno del domingo aquí en septiembre de 2024. Fue a 15 minutos a pie de nuestro AirBnB y así que vale la pena. El pub / posada tiene un ambiente tradicional en el interior con algunos toques modernos. Lo mejor de ambos mundos. Fue muy genial. El personal era amable y profesional. No reservamos reservas y pudimos sentarnos de inmediato. La comida era excelente. La manera perfecta de empezar un domingo ajetreado en la ciudad. Tuve un benedicto de huevos, mi esposa tuvo un desayuno inglés completo, con una olla de té cada uno. Las porciones eran buenas - llenando pero no derrochador. Los sabores eran deliciosos. Yo diría que vale la pena hacer un viaje fuera de su camino para tomar el desayuno, o si tienes la suerte de estar alojado en una de las habitaciones, es un viaje fácil abajo. La próxima vez que estemos en Londres me gustaría probar el almuerzo.

My wife and I had Sunday Breakfast here in September 2024. It was a 15 minute walk from our AirBnB and so very worth it. The pub/inn has a traditional vibe in the interior with some modern twists. Kind of the best of both worlds. It was very cool. Staff were friendly and professional. We did not book reservations and were able to be seated right away. The food was excellent. The perfect way to start a busy Sunday in the city. I had an eggs benedict, my wife had a full english breakfast, with a pot of tea each. Portions were good - filling but not wasteful. Flavours were delicious. I’d say this is worth a trip out of your way to grab breakfast, of if you’re lucky enough to be staying in one of the rooms, its an easy trip downstairs. Next time we’re in London I’d like to try lunch.

Este pub estaba en nuestro barrio cuando estábamos en Londres para el partido de los Chicago Bears. ¡Nos encantó! Había un par de otros pubs en esta calle, pero eran más ruidosos con todos sus clientes. Disfrutamos del ambiente del Mirlo y la comida era genial. Desayunamos y cenamos aquí mientras estábamos en nuestro viaje. Tuvimos el Fuller's London Pride filete marinado y pastel de cerveza, pollo, tocino y pastel de puerro con puré de patatas, y un amigo tenía el sándwich de dedos de eglefino rebozado de cerveza. ¡Todo fue muy bueno! Creo que había algunas mesas en la parte de atrás, pero nunca volvimos allí. Recomiendo encarecidamente este pub!

After two weeks in England we can say that we’ve had our best pub meal and experience at The Blackbird. Excellent menu, wine list and service. And an accessible toilet on the main floor to boot! We ordered the meat and cheese platter and enjoyed a variety of deli meats and local cheeses, served with sourdough bread and a lovely chutney. A neighbouring table ordered the selection of pies and the patrons declared it as delicious! We seriously concerned the Sticky Toffee Pudding but sadly, we’re just too full! We fully intend to return on our next trip to London.

This place was great. Service staff were accommodating. Asked if we had food allergies and allowed me to substitute. I ordered the 2 person pie plate which was plenty for me and my wife. The board had 4 small pies and they were very filling. I loved the steak pie. I ask ordered a vegetarian one and it tasted great. The meal came with variety of veggies like peas, roasted root veggies, roasted cabbage and potato’s as well as mashed potato’s.

This is for the restaurant, we ordered the pie sharing platter, for being a pie place I have to say there was no wow factor. Potatoes were just reheated carrots way overcooked and cabbage was a chunk with the middle piece that was uneatable. The pie themselves were pretty boring and not very filled.

It's an ok basic single bar. Great-looking big portions of fish&chips, which unfortunately I couldn't taste. The service/waiters could be a little more cheerful and not a face with basic readings. Expensive like everywhere in London. I also missed a bigger terrace.

Bel pub in South Kensington, della catena Fuller’s. Arredo in legno, ottima scelta di birra e bevande. Menu classicamente inglese: Fish & chips molto buone, larga scelta di ottimi pie, qualche stuzzichino, tutto cucina con qualità. Ottimo servizio, rapido e gentile e buon rapporto qualità/prezzo

The prices are acceptable. There is a restaurant on the ground floor that serves breakfast included in the price. The rooms are small and on a lively street. In general, they are acceptable.

Cozy pub with tasty food. I wanted to order the pie with lentils and mushrooms, but unfortunately it was gone. I then opted for the nut roast and it certainly did not disappoint. The dish was served with vegetables, a delicious cauliflower dish, Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes and a very good gravy. The roast itself consisted of nuts and was quite tasty. Some notes were just too loud unfortunately. Friendly staff. Very pricey; I paid around €27 for just a main course.

Nice pub with good atmosphere, getting a table may be a bit difficult without reservation. The staff were very friendly, music was just to my taste (Smiths, Siouxie, ...) and - what is important - was not too loud, so that one could easily understand and get understood. The food was excellent, so was the beer. Prices are at the "usual level", a Sunday roast dish cost just above £ 15, a pub classic around £ 12. Update 2024: back here, prices have gone up (like elsewhere), and the menu has changed, but still in love with this place. Excellent!

Stopped here for a quick pint and some food! Reasonable prices and the food was lovely! Would certainly come back. Seems like it would have a good atmosphere when it’s busier. I had the burger and it was decent, better than what you get at a green king etc!

We had a two night stay at a hotel close to the Blackbird and didn’t fancy their restaurant, after reading the views for the Blackbird we gave it a try and came back a second time! A busy bustling pub, great atmosphere, staff and fabulous food! The fish pie was sublime. Would use again and throughly recommend.

We made a reservation to watch the match. We sat comfortably with our child and watched, the atmosphere was very enjoyable.

Nice small hotel ideally located for Earls Court underground station Handy to get to all of SW and W London Rooms were nice and clean but a city hotel size so not huge The bar downstairs was busy and had a great selection of drinks Breakfast was good but could have been a bit warmer for my liking . All in all a good hotel with nice staff.

Really excellent pub both in terms of food and environment. Everything was clean and the food was not messy at all, in fact I was very surprised. Excellent fish and chips, not at all greasy and heavy. Highly recommended!

We are so glad we picked this pub for our Sunday dinner, as it had a traditional Sunday Roast! We had the beef and chicken roasts. Both were delicious! Sauce was great! Service was great!

Really great place. Great room, great service, great food throughout our stay. They even put out breakfast early for us when we were checking out early. To the morning staff: We ended up having to leave too early for that breakfast - our apologies for the extra work you did for us!!!

This used to be one of my favorite pubs in the area but the food isn’t what it used to be. The steak and ale pie, although still listed on the menu, is no longer available. Instead I ordered the beef cottage pie which was 90% mashed potato with just a little bit of ground beef with some chopped veg on the side. Nice atmosphere but will not come back.

My daughter and I came to the Blackbird after a busy day at the Natural History Museum. Excellent location and the premises is clean and vibrant. Friendly service from the start. The food portion was huge and prepared very quickly. Excellent service from Romain and Sashauna. We will be back soon

Excellent everything on a previous visit... this visit not as amazing. The fish and chips could have been a little more done. It was a little undercooked. I wish we had gotten the Apple & Blackberry Crumble. It looked amazing.

I didn't use the hotel, but the pub. The pub has a very atmospheric atmosphere, with a nice decor. Nice, communicative service. The food is very good, affordable, large portions, wide selection on the menu.

We didn't stay here but wound up eating breakfast here every day. Breakfast is served from 08:00 every day and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried from the excellent breakfast menu. The staff were friendly, efficient and professional.

Very nice pub, well located, good atmosphere, quiet, excelllent staff. Had breakfast here several times, all dishes were tasty and of high quality. Good coffee, too!
