The Blue Bell in Warrington

My friend and I had a delicious breakfast each here, I had a veggie one and my friend enjoyed some black pudding with hers, you choose the items, sorry I can't remember if it was 6 or 8 items but everything was really tasty and hot and we didn't wait long either the coffee was good, the staff really care about getting it right and give friendly, welcoming service. There's a nice relaxed atmosphere in the bluebell and it's warm and clean too.

We popped in today for some food after shopping in the town and it was the best Sunday lunch we have eaten out. Was a great portion, hot and very tasty☺️ Pub is bright, clean and spacious, hate places where you're squeezed in to ram as many tables as possible. Service was great, quick and very friendly. Can understand now why they have won awards for their Menus. We will definitely be back to sample more dishes next time we visit Warrington Town Centre.

Ordered a simple breakfast and had to wait over an hour and only when I asked where it was they sorted it. The staff are young and seem to have no clue what they are doing! They boast getting best pub but I can't see why ??

Went for breakfast first time since being refitted breakfast was lovely had a wait for it but we'll worth the wait. Georgia and Elisha could not have done anymore make us welcome on a cold snowy morning sitting us in a warm place two amazing members of staff definitely visit again.

This place is unique. Waitresses in hand, very professional. The food is freshly served with beverage of your choice. The ambience is generally good. Couldnt ask for more!

We had the three course Christmas dinner, it was a fabulous meal and Great value . The Blue Bell is still a quaint Pub in the heart of Warrington but has improved immensely over the years to the superb venue is today . Thank you Cecilia for taking care of us you’re a credit to the pub. . Thoroughly recommend.

Terrible service.....ordered 2 lattes at 10.50 am & 11.25 am still no lattes, after asking staff that was all congregated around the end of the bar the lattes finally arrived after 35mins, dark haired lady serving food needs to learn how to speak to paying customers instead of rolling her eyes when asking for something I had paid for

I tried the Sunday roast after seeing it had won Warrington Guardian’s best Roast 2024 and it didn’t disappoint. Everything on the dinner was lovely. The beef was tender and juicy, the veg was perfect and the mash was creamy and tasty. The extras were also very nice (pigs in blankets, stuffing balls, cauli cheese). Will definitely be back in the future

Overpriced under cooked food. Gone downhill since refurb

Second visit for food. First was Sunday dinner which was traditional no frills, like your mother makes and it was delicious. Yesterday was Xmas menu. Baked Camembert and beef Wellington. Both were spot on. The steak was perfect. The table was dressed lovely. Staff were lovely and attentive. No complaints from us whatsoever and we will most certainly be back

Food was nice and home cooked chips but the service was absolutely shocking, we went in on Monday lunch time and it was quiet and it took an hour for our meals to come 2x meals and a kids meal. You get a dessert with a kids meal which we asked for After we finished eating which is just 2 scoops of ice cream, another 15 mins passed and it didn’t come so we actually just walked out, if the service is like this when it’s quiet I dread to think what it’s like when busy

Decent pub. Decent drinks. Food is the typical pub food. We were celebrating a birthday to a mate here, with a private room booked for us. Staff were attentive, the drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is OK. Kids using the casino machines was quite a sightseeing, but I guess that's to be expected in the uk? :)

Haven't been in here for a good number of years. Staff were polite and efficient, we visited to watch the Live Band 'Brown Sauce' as they're friends of ours, Great Band and a good few hours in there.

Generally call in here when I visit Warrington. Nice cosy pub friendly bar staff.

Over cooked fish that was a small portion that also took 30 minutes to cook

Stopped for lunch after a meeting in town centre & although been recently refurbished and was busy same as before an ok place but better places nearby.

So, to start. I have been using this pub on and off for over ten years, and so far, I've had no real complaints. This time, I wouldn't say I had complaints as such, but with some of the service we had, it was lacking. My partner ordered a pot of tea, and when it arrived, the person serving it knocked the milk pot over but didn't really say sorry and didn't return with another pot of milk so my friend went up and asked for another pot. When our food turned up, they forgot to bring us cutlery. There was none on the table, so once again, one of us went up to the bar to ask for some. I had an all-day breakfast, which came on a really hot plate, but the food was not as hot as I would have expected. So to finish, I still find the pub a nice place to go, and the drinks we had were nice, my Ale was pored perfectly and tasted fresh. So, all in all, apart from the few mistakes with the service and the not so piping hot all-day breakfast, I would still recommend this pub.

Popped in for breakfast. Pleasant staff served me. Ordered a 'pick your own' breakfast. The quality of the sausages were exceptional and the scrambled eggs were perfect. Only critique is that my partners poached egg was undercooked. Overall, great service and quality ingredients.

Very slow service waited over an hour for food to come when arrived it was cold there was 5 of us and only 2 meals was reasonable was recommended to try but very disappointed won’t be visiting again wasn’t value for money didn’t want to complain at the time as we couldn’t wait anymore had other appointments to go to

I had the 10 Oz Gammon steak very good and would recommend it to others will be coming back with some friends well done 👏👏

Had my first meal here, Sunday roast, presentation was phenomenal, great flavours and a wide selection of veg and meats too. Thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday dinner.

Went in for breakfast before an appointment. I waited 35 minutes for a sausage and egg barm. I ended up leaving before it arrived, if it ever did! So poor.

The meals was absolutely disgusting. Cold and dried up chips, burnt edge fish, shrivelled peas, microwave jacket potato with a slop of beans and swimming in grease. Won't go again

The day we visited there was a event in the town center, my wife and I ordered steak and chips, the steak was inedible all gristle, we were not asked during the meal if it was ok, we left ,as the bar staff seemed engrossed with something else.it was a good experience,

Only popped in to meet a friend, but the place is well located and the staff are amazing. I didn't try the food I only had a pint of beer. Reasonably priced and I would visit again.

I have been to this pub before and had a lovely experience with the service and food. However on this occasion it was unfortunately not the case with one particular member of staff. Lisa!!!! She was rude and impolite after my request to change bacon for a veg sausage. I will not visit this place again as it is in my view discriminating towards vegans and veggies. Having said this, the young man and lady who served the food are absolutely lovely and a credit to the place. I have found out that Lisa is indeed the manager who in my view could do with customer service training from the others.

Ive been here numerous times, but this time is by far the worse, ordered 2 breakfast and a latte, and a flat white. Nothing different to what Ive ordered in the past. The eggs were pretty much raw, we had to ask for the drinks after a short while after the food came, only to be told they had threw our order in the bin before completing it. Drinks were lovely, breakfasts 5/10, eggs just a plain 0. Shame I can't attach an image. EDIT....so, after this review myself and the owner exchanged emails and I decided to go back and try again. I was there on the 17/08 and ordered the salt and pepper chicken noodles after trying the bangers and mash on a previous occasion. This dish is a must, will most definitely have this again. I also want to add Jean is an absolute credit to this bar, she's very welcoming, makes sure the tables are clean and that customers are looked after. Well done.

Great Breakfast in Warrington. Paid £19.45 for 1 mega Breakfast and 1x small Breakfast and 2x Teas.

Winner for the Sunday lunch competition! Nice to be greeted & treated by friendly staff! .. the starters were delicious.. & the Turkey Sunday lunch was delicious.. well presented.. plenty full & a huge selection of vegetables..staff kept checking that everything was ok. The pub was clean with & nice new refurbished area. The menu looks fantastic & prices are good.. definitely worth a visit & I will certainly be returning.

My dad’s choice so I wasn’t expecting much and slithered off to the shops but when I came back I was extremely disappointed I’d not had them order me something. Food was delicious. The waiter saw my disappointment and bought me a plate so I could pinch some chips and chicken because the portions are massive. Really friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Will be back.

Last visit was just to chat with some friends, so no food or drink, but the band were entertaining and the crowd loved it

Lovely roast dinner, meat and veggies are delicious and love the garlic herb butter addition to the mash and meat gives it a lovely taste. Also the salt and pepper chicken starter was very nice, I was expecting some crispy chicken nuggets kind of thing but this was delicious and fresh tasting. I know I’ll certainly be returning but maybe this time try something over than their roasts, see if their other foods live up to the standards of the roasts they make 🫣🥰.

Had breakfast here with my parents and children, the staff were so friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. The food was fresh and tasty. Facilities all clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely morning

Wasn't intending to go in but the atmosphere sounded good so popped in for a drink. Wasn't intending to eat but the food looked lovely so we gave it a go and glad we did! The pie was locally sourced and delicious - we will definitely be back!

A nice little pub excellent choice of Ales and Spirits, as in the one's you drink not the one's requiring the Ghostbusters to get rid of. The staff are amazing and very helpful, I bring my client here sometimes and he has Autism and even he likes the pub and it's Variety of drinks and bite to eat although he is very particular though and the staff always very helpful and help me to meet his needs.

Ordered the a coffee and never got it. Had to remind the barmaid twice and the lovely waitress took control by making and bringing over my coffee. Food and coffee was delicious but the woman behind the bar would find better work in Karen's diner or MMA boxing with that attitude.

the chefs Josh and Ryan did an amazing job for someone looking for a small late lunch, I ended up having a wonderful sunday roast. The mash was so creamy vegetables cooked perfectly and tasted so fresh it was like going back home and having a real country roast. The service was wonderful, pleasant and helpful I came away not only satisfied, happy but was so surprised at how reasonably priced it is too. I would highly recommend here for a wonderful food and great place to drink

Great place for live music on a Saturday night.

Oh mother of Jeasus,it's a lovely evening in Warrington. I just left one newly opened establishment, there were about 70 patrons enjoying live music and it was £4.50 a pint. Not cheap but good value considering the live music, I do like to give the local pubs a twist so I am on a walk about . I'm here now , it's a nice bar but £5.40 for a pint of Moretti ,no live music (not a problem) but I said I'd throw it out there. I'm listening to some clown mouthing off to some misfortunate girl how he is going to change his life. ( It ain't going to happen) and she is falling hook line and sinker. Anyway it's a nice pub but I'd drop the prices, surely you can flog the pint for a lot less than £5.40 Oh no, I don't believe this. The fella mouthing off has just suggested to the other person to go to the bar I just left. God help them.

Great little pub in Warrington Town centre, recently under new management. Had lunch in here, its a temporary menu but Great variety, reasonably priced and was delicious, though we did wait quite a while for the meals to come, however, we weren't in any particular rush, so this wasn't an issue. Very friendly service

I was here for one night only and I felt I had been coming here for years, outstanding atmosphere and I can't say thank you enough, Thanks to Alex and the Team .. I will be back soon

Hello there we just been in this pub first time and not much happy the food not very tasty the burgers smells and the fish and chips very bad, also the gamon stake was super salted and not cooked properly at all for this price £73 !!! , i know many different pubs and they served better tasty foods for better and cheaper prices, so probably not coming back at this one anymore i think better to go anywhere else better idea 😉

Love The Blue Bell. Food was piping hot and delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful, atmosphere was warm and relaxed. Reasonable prices, would recommend.

Just had food here and the jacket potatoes, both of them were rock hard and not cooked proper so we left them. They was microwaved but to the point half of the potatoe was not edible. With a tiny scrap of salad 🥗 not the best meal. Staff were friendly on the till however no one came over to see if we liked the food, because if they did we would of said NO. It's the worst jacket potatoe I've ever had.

The staff here are exceptional, really made the pub. So friendly and really took the time to make you feel welcomed. It's a lovely place. Food was very reasonably priced and well presented. It's not anything fancy but a really nice welcoming feel.

Just had excellent meals, good portion sizes and good quality food. Well worth the price. The staff are excellent, friendly and professional. We'll definitely be coming back.
