The Book Nook - Bookshop and Tea Room in East Hertfordshire

Went there for a weeknight meal after a walk in the nearby countryside only to be told there is no food being served( despite there website saying otherwise) decided to stay for a drink and wish I hadn't bothered,the beer was awful and smelt strange,the garden is very run down and messy and the landlady was moody,all in all a terrible experience and won't be returning any time soon

I visit The Practitioner on a regular basis due to the wonderful Vicky being the most welcoming, hardworking, kindest ,very accommodating & love that she is always smiling It doesn’t go unnoticed how hard she works to run this place like clockwork Due to this I decided to have my work leaving brunch which was so easy to organise Vicky and her team pulled off 30 amazing brunches so just wanted to say a Big Thankyou to all of you, carry on with the fantastic work and keep smiling 😊 Ps The Sunday Lunch is out of this world! 😋

been here plenty of times so the security knows me, i’ve was sitting watching the darts enjoying a beer when i got asked for ID i said no and i got kicked out. There was an underage girl sitting in the same booth as me who necked 5 shots but i was the one to be kicked out. very funny

Had a Duck burger and my partner had the Signature burger, food was delicious. The refurb is warm and welcoming and service was outstanding, drinks arrived quickly, great wine selection and nice ales.

Very good food and friendly, personal service. Excellent country pub. We'll certainly go again. Good gluten free options.
