Great Sunday Roast yesterday, the staff were super friendly and attentive. Food was lovely and big portions. I don't know if this place has been taken over or is under new management perhaps but this visit the vibe was much better than our recent visits

lovely pub friendly staff... love that we are able to take our dog with us into one side of the bar..food has improved massively since Sean was chef ... great little pub..would definitely recommend Fabi is an assett to the place always happy and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome ..

The lady with purple hair and piercings was absolutely incredible, we came for my daughters 9th birthday and she honestly made her birthday so special. Spending time with us to engage in propper conversations out of the basic 'how's your food/ anything else'. My daughter couldn't wait to tell her friends this morning about her new friend at The Brown Hare. Very sociable and very friendly. She went above and beyond for us and made my 3 kids feel very safe and happy! Thankyou so much to her shes amazing- I'm so sorry i forgot your name but we will be back 7th Feb. Only thing I can say I was gutted about was the chicken and chorizo kebab but that's because I was expecting 2 kebabs not one, however food tasted incredible I just expected there to be 2 kebabs now 1 x

I visited this Sunday, with my partner and his parents and the food was good, we were greeted by a very friendly waiter, with purple hair who gave us excellent service and great conversation. It made the experience really lovely and we look forward to coming back

I ordered a turkey Sunday Roast. The vegetables were lovely but the 'turkey' was absolutely disgusting. It was like eating cardboard. I broke my front tooth biting through it. I didn't complain as i was embarrassed at the tooth gap. We just finished and left. We won't be going back there in a hurry

We have been many times and will continue to do so. Always friendly welcome by the manager and staff polite and friendly when taking our order and serving. Food always great quality and decent sized portions and usually quick. Prices very reasonable always.

The food was really good and came quickly. What let it down massively was the dirty table. It was sticky and obviously hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time. Great service though.

Not impressed for 3rd time.. so no more for us guys. Even asked for cloth to clean table and manager watched me clean it !!!!! That's says it all.. 😕 .. staff doing ought as not even busy . Could be a good pub but needs personality and atmosphere.

Went fir Christmas day. 1 of our party has coeliac and was catered for throughout. Tables wiped, cutlery changed, reassurance about the preparation of food. Fantastic service, staff were wonderful, especialy Abbie and Hannah and the bar staff. Christmas dinner was absolutely stunning, couldn't fault it. Will definitely be returning.

Went out on christmas eve for our family meal to here. Table was booked for 18:45, this was a pre-booked meal that was paid for in advance. The drinks got served fairly quickly but we had to wait until gone 20:00 for our main course to arrive. The server had great energy and was lovely, but will not be coming back here again after this experience

My family had been visiting me for a few days so we decided we’d go out for a drink together to catch up and we really made the right choice in coming here! The staff were so friendly, talkative and generally helpful. Lovely selection of drinks and the chefs do a top job with their food! Would 100% recommend and will be coming back!

Breakfast with Santa with my 2 grandchildren. They loved the party games and dancing. The Elf was really good with the kids. Definitely worth the money

Terrible service we were there almost 2 hours and didn't have starters or desert. Waited 20 mins for drinks after chasing it up. They eventually took our order and waited 15 mins to be told they don't have any of our order in stock. Then had to wait 20 mins to order another meal after asking at the bar for service in the end which took another 30 mins to arrive. After we had eaten we sat with dirty plates for 20 mins and chased up desert menus. After waiting an age for our order to be taken we again went to the bar. After 20 mins of waiting for deserts we left without having them. We were bored and frustrated and wished we hadn't bothered. Was a waste of our time and money. Won't be going back there again.

Tidy and clean with friendly welcoming staff. Reasonable menu with lots of options. Great selection of drinks.

Initial welcome was good. After all our group had arrived it took a long time for waitress to arrive to take our order. Only half our drinks order arrived promptly. We had to go and enquire about the rest of it and it arrived eventually. Similarly with the main courses... 3 out of 5 arrived but the other 2 didn't arrive until the three had almost finished eating. There were apologies for the lateness. The quality of the food was variable. Two of the group had starters which were good. The three meals which arrived in the first delivery were also good but the last two, which were both sea bass, were not as described. They were supposed to be pan fried but were tasteless and bland as if they had been boiled. Also, the vegetables were billed as peas, beans and mangetout but only the peas were present. When I drew the management's attention to this, one of the sea bass was removed from the bill. No one ended up hungry but the ambience of our pre-Christmas reunion was spoiled.

Fabi is a fantastic waitress and has made our meal special, we love her energy and friendliness and attention to detail. We love her vibe. The Chef Dean has cooked our meal perfectly, it was delicious and we ate it all. You have brilliant staff that deserve time off.

It was a fabulous night helping myself and my daughter celebrate our new jobs with family. All the staff were superb and the food was as usual fantastic. Thank you Brown Hare for making our celebration brilliant.

Lovely food and it's a nice pub. Dog friendly too, with a few board games as you walk in. Definitely come here again if in the area.

A lovely welcome on arrival, and attended to well whilst we were there. 3 of us ordered. Sunday roasts were delicious and also cheese and potato pie. Served in good time, nice and hot and good sized portions. Approx. £14 Ish per meal. Good value. Also apple and cherry pie with custard was best I've ever tasted. Nice clean and spacious pub, with free parking. Will definitely return

Not been to Brown Hare in years, but will definitely be going back. The chicken caesar salad, best I've had and hubby's mixed grill was delicious. Thanks to Hannah for her friendly welcome 😄

Went to the quiz tonight and was served by Fabi, great service and the food made by Hannah and Sammie was the cherry on top of the cake 10/10 will be coming back! Especially if the 30% off mains offer is on in the future!

Fantastic for the family and for birthday fun

Reserved a table but when shown to our table noticed it had not been cleared properly. Our 4 drinks were brought to the table and then food orders taken, after a while it was reported back to us that one of the three of us that ordered steak would have to choose something else. My kofta starter was hard like rock and the tomato sauce was cold, only one out of three starters was enjoyable and they had the tomato soup. I asked for my steak to be medium, it was undercooked. They had brought our food without giving us anything to eat it with, they forgot to bring me the peppercorn sauce that I had ordered. All in all, was the worst dining experience I have ever had!

Having been stuck in traffic that was even worse than usual, we took a spur of the moment decision to stop at the Hare and eat instead of enduring rising blood pressure. I'm so glad we did. Dinner was just what the doctor ordered and the fun banter with our waitress, Fabbey ensured we really enjoyed our visit and our frustration was replaced with smiles. Excellene service.

Bought my first alcoholic drink, and the staff was lovely and put me at ease with some jokes all together. I loved having my birthday there

We attended the kids Halloween party and was waiting on food. Could see that our table was going to be one of the last to be served, so I asked if there was any chance my little boy could have his tea due to him being diabetic, they brought it out near enough straight away. When I also asked if they can bring his dessert out soon as he finished they did, as he has to consume both with half an hour or he will need more insulin. They were happy to do it with no problems

The staff who welcomed us were friendly. My mum enjoyed her food. However, mine, for £15.79 I expected to have more than two small cubes of halloumi on the kebab.

Very attentive service from start to finish

We had a lovely time at The Brown Hare, we were a big party of 32 but we were looked after really well by all the staff, especially Fabi. The food was delicious, my only negative was I had the chicken and chorizo kebab- but I didn’t have any chorizo.! It was still delicious and I enjoyed it.

Came to Brown Hare with a friend and only wanted a small meal so I chose the mini fishcakes and sweet potato fries and my friend had the kebab. The food was nice although the fishcakes were a bit dark in colour so not very appetising to look at. Service was good but oh my goodness, drinks were so expensive. We both had large glasses of wine but did not realise how much it was until the bill came. It would be expected in a gourmet restaurant but not in a pub chain. Will be tap water next time I think.

Absolutely pouring down with rain to ran to the Hare for the weekly quiz. Thankfully the amazing duo of Hannah and Fabi were working and able to provide me a towel to dry off. Granted from the dog pamper tray but with this weather, I couldn't be picky.

Friendly pub with a range of delicious food. Me and my friends attend weekly for the quiz. One member of the team that excels above the rest is Fabi, her name says it all, she is fabby. Caring friendly and always serves with the biggest of smiles

Beautiful place, dropped in for a quick one, ended up ordering some food, chose the Aranchini as recommended by Fabi. Food was Beautiful 😍, service was great, Fabi was incredibly helpful and so so friendly! Will definitely be stopping by for a proper sit down and some drinks soon!

Good evening with friends at the regular quiz

A nice quiet Sunday lunch with my mum, before we went to visit dad in hospital. The food was delicious, with a really tasty roast and vegetables that were cooked perfectly and not overcooked to mush… the staff were really polite and attentive, without being overbearing. I don’t live in the area, but when visiting I will be back.

Absolutely lovely place. Food and staff were spot on. Can't recommend enough . I had the steak and ale pie which was amazing. They even let me swap my mash for chunky chips. My girlfriend had the buttermilk chicken burger which was the biggest burger I have ever seen great value for money.

Visited Wednesday 10th October at 7.30 pm We really enjoyed our visit. Food came out in good time, was hot and tasty. The staff were brilliant and service was second to none. We had the 30% voucher which was a great saving. Child friendly with crayons and board games. They are dog friendly towards the right hand side of the pub

Great place , Staff are nothing but welcoming. Big smile and big effort to make sure you are happy. Food is delicious and piping hot with plenty of choice as it’s a big menu. Love the little doggie baskets. Dog baskets , blankets , water and even little doggie biscuits (free of charge) It was toasty warm with is a bonus with the weather today We had the lunch time menu which we found to be very good value. X2 fish gousons , chips and mushy peas And one apple crumble with custard and one chocolate pudding which was delicious We couldn’t fault a thing.

Been here a few times, a great place to come and eat. Lucina is particularly helpful and has excellent customer service. Always makes sure I get what I have asked for and is lovely and polite. Would definitely recommend.

I found this place by accident. One day I was simply driving past on the A59 and noticed the pub, so looked it up on Google. The reviews were good so we decided to give it a try! We visited on a Sunday with 4 people and a dog and was met by a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff behind the bar were friendly and chatty, the food was great and we were even given 30% off the total price, which came to £80 for 4 Sundays roasts and 4 drinks. Also super dog friendly. Will return and recommend

Went tonight spontaneous date with my bestie. After lots of bad reviews from friends and people in general. Also bad experiences ourselves. After seeing the recent adverts we gave it a try. Was not disappointed. Excellent service, made to feel so welcome. The mixed Grill we ordered was amazing and trust me I know my meats. Drinks Also were so nice. After all this we payed and left. That was when I realised I had a voucher for 30%off and forgot to apply it 😭 never mind it was well worth it 👌

I love the BH, although it’s a bit further to go for us we are always made to feel welcome. They have a dog snug, were our furry friends are treated to free water and treats. The food is always great, and competitively priced. They also run quiz nights and party nights! Last years Halloween party was really good fun!

Partner is a vegetarian and they brought out a chicken pie. These days it is difficult to see the difference between meat free and meat foods. She started feeling sick from the food and asked me if it was chicken which it turned out it was. Their excuse was that they had a new chef, there is no excuse to this situation and is a sirius health risk to others. I will be taking this further!

Sasha and all of the team did a wonderful job of making it a fantastic birthday celebration for my father in law’s 92nd birthday. The table was well placed and service/ food very good.

Was offered a welcome 30% on main meal discount and having only recently moved back into the area thought we'd give it a try. Food for the price was a bargain, we had a mixed grill and even though the chef missed off the egg, the member of staff who passed clocked this and came out with it and an apology. Really great service from the moment we walked in. Keep up the good work and we'll certainly be back soon.

Had a absolutely lovely family meal sat outside in the sunshine in the middle of September the kebab was delicious and the mixed grill was excellent and as a bonus a little play area for young kids and not to forget dog friendly will definitely go again soon

On Monday the 9th September, me and three friends came in for lunch. My first time but my friends had been many times. I was firstly impressed with the dress code. A few workmen arrived in dirty boots and I'm guessing this wasn't your dress code because they returned to vans and changed footwear. Well done! The place was welcoming and friendly. Lovely decor and clean toilets, because that's always a plus. The food arrived in a timely manner and looked lovely. It didn't disappoint, it was delicious. The steak was cooked to our liking. At the end of our stay we were greeted by a lovely bubbly member of staff. Definitely a credit to you and is a fabulous front of house member of staff. Her name was Fabi, I hope this is correct. She had pink curly hair. We will definitely return and definitely recommend you. Keep up the good work guys. Lesley, Vivien Pam and Claire.

Just been and had lunch with my partner and grandkids, spot on service and the food was amazing, my granddaughter especially enjoyed the mac and cheese off the kids menu, will deffo be coming again 😀😀xx

Pretty bad. Slow service Food pretty bad pastry very hard on pies .carrots well very uninspiring Mash which didn't order curled around pie.skinny fried hard and snapped. All in all terrible
