We chose the The Bulls Head for a buffet following my daughters wedding. There were 30 guests. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The buffet - well it was absolutely wonderful, like no buffet ever tasted before. No boring sandwiches, sausage rolls or pork pies. It was so tasty many guests were filling their plates with seconds. loads of choice as well, and vegetation were marked with a little green flag!. I cant rate this highly enough. If you are looking for similar, pre book and you really wont be disappointed. Many thanks to the staff and kitchen.

My wife and i hadnt visited the Bull for approx 3 years after a poor experience there previously, but we decided to try again as the location is local. We visited late afternoon with only two other couples in the restaurant. We ordered our drinks and meal and was looking forward to our dining experience. I ordered bread and butter, when it came to the table the bread was stale, i asked the waiter to replace. The waitress returned with the bread and butter again which AGAIN the bread was stale... we complained to the waitress who was apologetic stating she would get some more. but i declined. The service was slow given only 6 people in restaurant, but eventually our meal came, only to find that mushy peas had been sent with our fish and chips not garden peas as requested, the waitress apologised and returned after 5 mins with the garden peas. The meal was barely warm (certaintly not hot) the waitress again asked if our meal was ok, we told her the meals were not hot and she offered to replace, by this time we had eaten half our meals and did not want to prolong our experience. i didnt finish my meal such was the poor quality. We asked for the bill and presented a vintage inns gift card to put towards the cost of the meal. the waitress went to produce a revised bill, returning to state the card wasnt valid.?. i queeried this, the card was a gift to me which identified WAS acceptable to vintage inns. the waitress went away again and returned stating that the monies on the card had now been removed from the bill!! A further revised bill was passed to me, after checked i noticed that they had charged me for the stale bread that i returned earlier!! In conclusion the service was bad, the food was poor, the attention to our needs and the administration was poor. It will be a lot longer before i return here for a meal or to spend any of my money..

We went for an evening meal to celebrate my husbands birthday. Our server Natalia was fantastic, she a lovely lady, she made a fuss of my husband and we had a bit of fun with her and one of our family members has certain food allergies and she went out of her way to make sure her food was correct. The food was excellent, credit to the chefs also that never get a mention. We will definitely recommend this restaurant, the front of house were excellent too. Keep hold of these members of staff, they’re just lovely. Reasonably priced too. The finishing touch was my husband got a free bottle of Prosecco for his birthday. 5* place

Came here for the first time today. And it won't be the last. Served by Katie and she was a superb host. Welcoming, helpful, and made suggestions to help us pick. Food was amazing, Sunday Trio, lush and plentiful and a crumble to die for.

After having heard great reviews about the food but never having visited previously, we couldn't refuse an invitation from our friends and I'm so glad we did! From the moment we entered we were made to feel welcome by Chris and told that Katie would be with us shortly to take our order for drinks and food. What an absolute breath of fresh air this lady was and an absolute credit to The Bulls Head! She was professional whilst being humorous and, after a very stressful time at work, was exactly what I needed tonight 🥰 The food was out of this world - we had slow roasted pork belly, lamb skewers, fish and chips and pizza and it was all stunning. Thank you for providing us with excellent food and service in the form of Katie. Our first time but certainly not the last!

Saturday lunch.exceptional food- dishes that even the keenest home cook would not be able to recreate. Lucky Lichfield to have a restaurant like Larder!
