The Café at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead

I have been coming to this subway weekly for months, the staff are always lovely and friendly - especially Selvin who knows my order at this point and is always recommending me new things to try! 10/10 great staff and service

Well popped in with my friend today for a quick drink and a bite to eat I had the poached egg avocado and toast and it was absolutely perfect eggs lovey warm runny yolks whites cooked spot on avocado vibrant and fresh as could be and the toast wasnt just any old slice of white bread it was unreal have to say thank you to both of the Donna's who served us lovely friendly welcoming girls nothing but smiles all the time we were there fantastic meal fantastic staff and compliments to the chef simple DIFINE.

I have visited many Wetherspoons restaurants and was very disappointed with the quality of food I received at this one. I ordered the Ultimate Burger. The 2 thin patties were blacked on both sides and very hard. You usually get this if you put a frozen burger on the grill. Also, they refused to take any Scottish £50 and £20 bank notes. Their Head Office advised not to accept these notes as they had received a number of counterfeits. There are special market pens, etc that bar staff use to check notes so unsure why this was an issue. Very inconvenient.

Ordered thin crust and got thick stodgy pizza that's just a cheesy mess. Garlic sauce was thin and watered down. Complete fall from grace compared to years past. Would avoid, better takeaways in area.
