Called here for a brew on our return from a hospital appointment and ending up having Breakfast! We have passed this cafe many times without calling! We found out this morning just what we have been missing! A warm friendly welcome, a good hearty breakfast and a good cup of tea for a reasonable price. what more could you ask?

We stumbled upon The Cafe on The Hill on our way to Wales. Superb coffee and tea with a good welcome too. Spotless and with a scrumptious array of quiches, cakes, scones on display. They do much more too. It was so good we called in on our return to eat as well. Everything was fresh, tasty and made to order. The cakes (home made?) were fantastic. So do call in if you are in the area we're confident you will like it too

Lovely little place. Clean and neat, friendly host. Large pot of tea, well-stuffed sandwich and a generous salad. I had a fish finger brioch. Lovely oasis on a busy street. Deserves to do well

We stopped here for breakfast on route to Ellesmere. From the outside the cafe did not appear busy but soon filled up. Had a coffee which was really nice and then had to wait a good while for the cooked breakfast, thank goodness we were not in a rush. When the breakfast arrived it was well presented and very tasty.

This little cafe is outstanding. I have called in a few times now and is currently in the favourites on my car’s Sat Nav. The lovely Louise has a little gold mine here, the lunches and snacks are outstanding. The freshly made cakes on display are fantastic and not doing my ever-increasing waste any good. I will definitely be calling in again and would recommend it to anyone.

Called in on way home from doing weekly shopping. Lady who was serving behind counter was very polite & helpful catering for all our needs. Thought it was just a coffee shop but once in there realised that they had a really good selection of meals available for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also a really good selection of home made cakes & biscuits all on show in glass covered display unit. A large variety of teas & coffees also available. Everything from what I could see on large display boards and on printed menu cards seemed very reasonably priced. Inside was very clean & tidy with plenty of tables & chairs of various sizes catering for singles, couples or large groups of people. Also tables, chairs & parasols outside if weather nice or for anyone with pets or smokers. Would definitely recommend this little cafe to anyone passing or even going out of there way to visit if out for the day.

You come across it quite suddenly just at the side of the road near the church. Its plain-looking exterior belies the wonderful light snacks inside: delicious quiches, salads of all kinds, cakes and scones (the best carrot cake and Florentines I’ve ever tasted) and everything home-made. The coffee is really good and supports growers in Kenya. Everything nicely served and spotlessly clean. Seating outside if sunny. Parking is minimal but there is a car park next door but one. Not exactly the greatest views but you won’t find a better place for a light lunch or coffee stop. And it’s very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Fast prompt service welcoming staff . Food was good may need more options for veggie/vegan guests and a light in the loo would be good!

Popped in today for lunch. Hubby had an English All Day Breakfast which was huge and I had the Bacon, Avocado & Poached egg on toast. Both were delicious and filling. It was very popular whilst we were there which was nice to see, bit dull for sitting outside but the bright pink brollies were lovely. Too full to finish off with cake, but the ice cream seemed to be very popular, with or without the waffles. We will be back.

We stopped here for a light lunch not knowing what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised because although a small cafe the food was really fresh and cooked to a high standard. The ladies were very welcoming and friendly and we will be returning.

A ex-used car site doesn't seem like a natural conversion into a tea, coffee and lunch stop but it's been well fitted out, the service was excellent as were the tea and cakes. A surprisingly full menu and plenty of light and space. We had bakewell slice and a huge pot of tea for six pounds which was pretty good value and tasted very good.

What a lovely cafe this is. Look out for this hidden gem in Welsh Frankton. It is exceptionally clean and offers a wide selection of freshly prepared food. Service is outstanding and it is a fine example of modernity, variety and value for money.

What a great find this new cafe turned out to be, great coffee with an amazing selection of cakes, all home baked (we saw them making them!), the carrot cake was simply to die for, absolutely divine! Panoramic views also made for a memorable first visit, a bike stand outside makes it very cyclist friendly (beans on toast on the menu?....oh yes!). We'll definitely be going back and very soon.

Nice pub just off the main road. Real ales available. Nice quirky little pub with food being served. Staff were friendly and polite. Beer was good, worth a visit. Enjoyed my visit.

Shared a meal with family here (10 people). Unfortunately we weren't impressed. Communication during booking process needs improvement. Especially for pre-ordered meals. The whole experience just felt a bit rushed. Comments around the table regarding food were either very average or not great. Kids meals, burger and mixed grill were all way overcooked. It's a shame because it's a nice venue with great potential.
