Everything they say about the pizza here is true. It is amazing full stop, period. Nothing else to say. You even come oblivious to the slightly annoying second rate 'Made in Chelsea' types when you have a mouthful of their Margherita. It's remarkably cheap as well - they could probably charge twice as much as they do and it would still sell. Best pizza in London hands down.

We booked a pizza (you don’t book a table - they’re on a first come first served basis) before going to a concert at the Apollo. Dominic looked after us really well. The pizzas were out of this world - one of the best I’ve ever had. Try this place!!

Originally just popped in for a drink, whilst waiting to see a show, we were able to sit outside as tables inside were full, lots of people coming in to get take out pizzas, then the queue started, we overhead a conversation about the place being known for its pizza's. As we sat under the awnings the rain falling, it was too early to go to the theatre so decided to have another drink and pizza. We were going to order a large to share , but was told that they weren't available, pre-book only I think was said. So we ordered x2 of the smaller pizza's when they came , we should have stuck with x1. The pizza's were hot as they should be , being freshly made we had mushroom and pepperoni - they were lovely. When we ordered at about 1730, they had x4 people behind the bar (it is a small bar), they got through the queue quickly - very reasonably priced x 2 pizzas / x 2 drinks £39.00. Could not fault and would not hesitate to return if we were in the area

Dopiest barmaid I've ever been "served" by. We heard great things about the pizza and wanted to get takeaway to eat by the river whilst the sun set before summer ends. Just this one person on the bar, wasn't super busy but waited 10 mins to place the order whilst not even giving any acknowledgement of us being there. Proceeded to place our order, one large pepperoni pizza, garlic and herb dip and a glass of tap water. No request for payment, no indication of where we should wait or how long it would take - just a gaunt stare. We Waited outside and drank my tap water and sat with my dip. After 10 mins of waiting, saw some pizzas come out so went to check on ours. The same lady at the bar told us it would be another 10 mins before our pizza was ready. 10 minutes later, she comes and asks if we paid for pizza. Having assumed payment would be taken at point of collection, given we werent asked to pay whilst waiting at the bar after ordering, she scoffed that if payment wasnt taken, then the order would not have been processed. Therefore, we sat and wasted 30 mins waiting for a pizza we had been led to believe was being cooked and perhaps one of the last nice of the year. We are super disappointed as we just moved around the corner and thought this would be a great local spot for us to frequent in future. We would very much interested in trying one of your pizzas on the house and hopefully we can salvage this relationship.

To present a balanced view, I will say the pizza is of good quality. Unfortunately due to staff incompetence we got ours cold. What a shame that the chef offers his delicious pizza in this venue. We tried to go for dinner Wednesday and pizza was sold out, totally fine I appreciate fresh ingredients. So, for Friday we pre-ordered two pizzas for 6:30pm 24hrs in advance (pre-paid). We arrived at 6:30, informed the bar staff of our pizza order and we’re told it would come in 5 minutes. Great. 5 minutes later a short haired women came out with two pizzas, obviously ours, shouting the name Katie. My name is Christy. When no one by the name Katie was present I politely asked her 3 times to double check if there was a mistake and it was mine. She rudely said “no it’s for Katie”. Put them down in the back and refused to give them to us. We had an order confirmation email that could have been checked. After 25 more minutes of waiting I asked the bar staff for an update on my pizza. I was handed the cold “Katie” boxes, told the cold pizzas were unquestionably mine. So, I could tell the pizza would have been enjoyable but it was so cold and we were so frustrated by the time we got it, not worth it. The rest of the bar staff generally rude, confused and miserable with the exception of a lovely young blonde girl and another blonde woman that was maybe the manager. I was hoping to find a new local favourite but its a pub where both food and drinks are difficult to come by so I’ll continue looking.

For many years my family didn’t order pizza in the Uk as mostly a stodgy greasy disappointment, and then the grandson of the long standing landlady Bella took over the management and having learnt his craft in Italy Introduced a limited but perfect rang of pizza, you need To be thing Napoli Sorrento to get a feel for the authenticity created in this casual pub environment. Description: hand made dough stretched thinly cooked Super hot and fast creating an uneven bubbley and slightly charred base that is externally crisp with a soft interior. Bellissimo!

Drinks are cheaper than the average pub on the riverside ( it’s just few metres away), quick service at the bar. We haven’t tried the pizzas but we have seen them and they look delicious. We’ve been there few times and never been disappointed!

You would never think it and probably think I'm a moron and know nothing about food, but this small pub has incredible pizza. You just simply have to go and try for yourself as you'll 100% be wowed and glad you made the effort.

Nice small pub with large screens for football. Did not eat, but popped in for an after dinner beer to watch a football mach. Nice service, good selection of beers. Not crowded on a Tuesday

Food is served when they can be bothered. Sometimes it is “reserved” for friends or family so unavailable for regular customers. Drug use is HIGH and common. My post indicates a visit this month, but I have visited for several months for 2 years before writing this review, drug use is a HUGE problem in this establishment. The female bar staff are miserable and mostly rude. The barman Chris is as helpful as can be, but could do with some training on cocktails or pub practices and laws. Overall a great location and if you’re tempted in for one quick drink then that’s great, but overall I would avoid at all costs. Unfortunate review considering the pizzas look quite nice despite never being able to taste one.

I recently visited this pub for my friends 30th birthday, the staff were very in helpful in organising a few tables for us, whilst still following the government guidelines. The table service they provided was excellent, ensuring social distancing was being adhered to at all times. The pub has a really friendly and relaxing vibe to it, myself and my friends felt very comfortable in this establishment. The beer tasted very good and the pizza was even better, absolutely out of this world, freshly cooked in the beer garden before your very eyes. The Chef/ owner of the pub is called Carl, he’s a really friendly, welcoming guy and a real master of he’s craft, I would highly recommend visiting this pub, 10/10.

I’ve been going to The Chancellors since I was old enough to drink and it’s always been a favourite due to the staff and the charm of the pub. Recently due to lockdown they have been selling Pizza and take away drinks options, we had the Nduja pizza this afternoon and it was by far the best pizza I have had in a very long time!! Glad our local is still thriving and if you are looking for a decent pizza, forget Franco Manca, go here instead! Support local.

I visit this pub quite regularly and have never had a bad experience. Proper traditional pub tucked down the backstreets, with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. They have recently started doing pizzas which are unbelievably good!! 100% would recommend!

I used to use this pub a fair bit, but have now stopped going there. For a back street place the prices a really high, and despite the price the lager is often warm. The food used to be reasonable, but it was off putting...

Este es uno de los mejores pubs del oeste de Londres. El servicio es siempre de primera categoría y la comida es muy sabrosa. Recomiendo encarecidamente el asado del domingo.
