What a fantastic find. We visited on the Saturday evening for the dining experience and were not disappointed. The food (cheese and charcuterie) was phenomenal, the service was brilliant (knowledgeable and enthusiastic), the wine was delicious, the ambiance and setting matched. We would definitely recommend this and will be back next time we are in the area. All in all a fantastic night that enhanced a magnificent weekend. Thank you so much.

The selection of cheese is excellent. I bought some farmhouse swaledale, which was full of flavour. They have cheese from the UK and abroad and it beats anything you can get in a supermarket.

Great cheese shop. We saw that there was an opportunity to have a charcuterie and cheese board dining opportunity on a Friday evening: irresistible! We were made so welcome and the food was incredible, washed down with a delicious wine. Could not fault it and would definitely recommend. Such personal service and genuine passion for providing the best of produce. You have to go here!

My wife and I have called in a few times and bought cheeses and biscuits. My favourite is the Yoredale cheese. So much to choose from. Very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended the Cheese Press.

Once again, they know their stuff, here. Try the Swaledale cheeses and raspberry pâte de fruits. The other delicacies look very good, too.

Lovely little cafe that we visited twice whilst on holiday in Askrigg. Stuffed cookie was divine. Americano and cappuccino sorted our caffeine fix. Only problem was black tea had milk in it , which we didn't realise until we had left. That said would definitely go back.

B6255Great choice for a family meal as part of a Dales mini-break. Superb welcome from Paul, fabulous food prepared by pam - all in a wonderfully designed restaurant. If you are staying in or near Hawes, this is a definitely a restaurant to experience...

Gunning LaneMissed out on first visit as closed, so made a detour to try the fruit cake and cheese. It was delicious along with very good scones, cream and jam. Generous pots of tea too. Great after a walk in the Dales

Old Station YardWe were planning on eating at the station restaurant, but got tempted by their menu and the prospect of eating outdoors on a very hot evening. . . .The Italian stew and horseradish mash was a delight. I would gladly return for their poke bowl/ lamb tagine= jerk chicken skewers, but sadly am moving on tomorrow . Soup and burgers look equally tempting . . Oh, and the staff are super friendly 😊

Middlemoor Farm BrokesVisited for a late breakfast when staying in Richmond. The service was outstanding as was the quality of the food and the Covid measures were spot on. Our breakfast was one of the nicest cooked breakfasts we’ve had in a long time. There’s a little shop on site which has some lovely trinkets and a garden/plant sale too - 3 attractions in one!
