This cafe was amazing! they treated me so kindly, the cash till was broken so the man (i never got his name) said it was on the house it left me smiling the hole way home. I almost forgot my helmet and he told me he was a lovely person. i will be back to repay the kindness. The hit chocolate was great two!

1st and last visit to this cafe , arrived today at 10.55am , couldn’t get in !! Eventually a girl appeared from the side of the building to tell us there boss I assume owner was away to deliver stuff and they had no front door key !! They could make us breakfast roll but it would depend on what we would order as the boss hadn’t arrived with some of the food!! Such a shame on these 2 young ladies having to deal with us and quite a few more people attending!Boss appeared saying she had a wedding breakfast to deliver !! Absolute shambles and very run down ,needing to spend some money on the outside,it looked dreadful!

Ooh-la-la wunderba! Had lunch today and the avocado 🥑 bacon 🥓 and chicken 🐔 ciabatta is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Nice coffee too. Staff are super friendly and helpful 👌 It's a quirky unique place, the atmosphere is pretty cool with the music played in the background. I'm thinking of reasons for the 20-minutes drive to excuse my next visit. The only bad thing is the distance from my house, that's it! I'm a new regular in the making - fantastic experience today!

Waited ages for our food, never brought milk for the coffee, waited another 5 mins for the milk. Seating outside is dreadfully needing upgraded, the table we were sitting at had a broken leg, the outside space covered in weeds.

Stopped in here after seeing a sign for the coffee shop up ahead and so glad we did! It was later in the day so opted for just coffees and cakes! I had the apple cake with cream and my partner had a apple and cinnamon scone which were both delicious, as well as our coffees. Service was wonderful and very friendly. Looking forward to making this our regular pit stop up to Aberdeen.

Return visit . We even drove out of our way to get to this place. We were later in the day but couldn't find when they closed so thought we would chance it. On arrival shown to our seat...... shortly asked what we would like but we hadn't had a menu.? We promptly ordered. The chap who took our order appeared to be thinking of other things. Pot of tea for 2 = 2 teapots of tea and one milk apparently. We waited 30 mins on them cooking our food all the time listening to chatter in the kitchen which sounded chaos. We were only one of 2 tables. Food came after a lengthy wait. Food look warm and my sandwich had normal mayo not Chipotle. No explanations. On paying the bill I mentioned that the sandwich wasn't what I expected to which the reply was oh I didn't have any Chipotle left? Such a shame they were to preoccupied with each other to notice customers waiting around.

Terrible service, we waited 15 minutes for a coffee, a tea and a slice of cake. The waitress brought it over, no milk or sugar brought with the drinks. We were sitting outside, I had to go in and ask for milk, said she would bring it out, waited for 5 minutes, had to go in and get the milk myself. The surrounding area was full of weeds, litter and very run dow.n. The table we were sitting at was broken and propped against the fencing so it wouldn’t fall over, all of the outside furniture could do with being cleaned and painted. To top it all, one of the restrooms was out of order and the other one did not have a lid on the cistern so the toilet couldn’t be flushed.

Travelling north on the A9, we saw a small sign to a cafe at next exit and decided on impulse to turn off. The staff were charming, the menu offered a good selection and the coffee was very good. A very quick stop with my 6yr old daughter for a panini and THE best apple cake (by a country mile of anywhere else nearby)! All freshly bake / prepared - super friendly staff, always a warm welcome and a nice ‘buzz’ signalling a rightly popular cafe. Sitting in or take-away, well worth a visit.

After a morning in Perth, we stopped at the Chestnut Tree for a light lunch. On entering, we were given menus and sat at one of the vacant tables. A friendly, polite member of staff came over to take our order. Soup of the day was mushroom, so we decided on that along with Cheese & Pickle, and Ham sandwiches. They came very quickly, the soup was hot and very tasty and the sandwiches were excellent. Accompanying these we had Irn Bru's. As we were paying the bill, we saw their delicious cakes, so decided on a Chocolate Sponge to take away. We were hoping to take it home, but as it was warm and the chocolate was starting to melt, we ate it straight away in the car. It's a pity they don't have boxes for take-away cakes even if there was a small charge.

Stopped today with a large group of cyclists and we were all served remarkably quickly. I have had my share of bacon rolls over the years and this one was up there with the best of them. The cafe has a well earned reputation for good customer service and this was obvious today. The owner kindly gave us all a sample of her millionaire shortbread which was delicious too. Stopped off at the outside seating for lunch. The ham and cheese ultimate toastie with the chilli jam was excellent served with crisps and side salad. Egg mayonnaise sandwich was equally good. Good sized cappuccino coffees.

On arrival the Old Mill Inn was very cosy, inviting and had beautiful christmas decorations up. We arrived around 2.30pm and our room was ready which was amazing! The receptionist showed us to our room which was number 9. The room was cosy, and the bed was very comfy. In the bathroom there was a choice of a rain shower or a hand held shower. The rain shower was amazing and the temperature gauge was easy to use. We went to the restaurant for dinner, the staff, atmosphere and food were excellent. The only thing I would make people aware of is that if you are staying on a saturday in room number 9 you will hear the band until 12 and the car park is a little hard to find. I would recommend the hotel to friends and family.
