A very posh place! Such a difference to when I used to visit the Nightjar as a teenager in the 80’s. The cliff provides elegant decor, and delicious food. We were a party of seven and our server Amy was really on the ball. She was attentive, joyful, and “Amy-able”. She knew the menu well and therefore was able to provide great suggestions. A lovely experience reconnecting with old friends and reminiscing.

Had a lovely lunch here on 24th Dec, both had the seafood linguine which was delicious. Amy was very cheerful and attentive.

I, my son and 2 teenage grandsons had dinner. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. The venue itself was lovely and the service was good.

Elegant surroundings, amazing food topped off with lovely people looking after you. That’s the recipe for a perfect lunch out ❤️

Great food, good service and friendly and vibrant atmosphere

My mum loves this place. She says the car park is nice and big 😁 This was my first time there, and whilst it is easy to park, there is so much more that is good about this place. The staff were so friendly and helpful, even if they weren't actually our server. The menu was varied and all the food was good. The drinks were reasonably priced. Real ale available which is important to me and not the case everywhere you go. This visit was pre Christmas and a cold evening. Tables outside suggest this would also be a great place in the summer. Not a cheap place. But worth the extra for a special family occasion, or if you just want somewhere a bit more classy than a pub. Our table was fine, but i did feel sorry for those sitting near the bar. I would try and avoid getting a table by the door.

Excellent food and service. Our waitress for the evening was Summer and she was very friendly and polite. Would recommend the Cliff although the bar area could be bigger and its shame the left hand side restaurant feels so closed off. They need to open it up to the bar/entrance area

Great food, good festive menu. Service was slow, and they served the adults before the kids. My daughter had to wait for her food and for her dessert while we already had out food on the table. Apart from that, great atmosphere and lovely food

Really good, but not as good as I thought it would be from the reviews. Staff needing reminding about drinks & condiments. Food could have done with being hotter but tasted amazing.

We are here for a work function. Cat took over our evening service, she was very friendly, built rapport with everyone on the table, having laughs, she was really engaging and she was a delight to end our work Christmas party. We hope she will be our host in future.

We came in for lunch and were looked after by Amy and she was fantastic. It’s so nice to receive top tier service when it seems to be a thing of the past these days. Amazing food as always too, The Cliff has very quickly become our go to!

Very disappointed. Went for my stepdaughters graduation and it was less than impressive. We had to search for staff to serve us on several occasions, the food was very average not the way we had planned to celebrate her special day.

We ended up coming back here for dinner multiple times during our stay in Bournemouth. Each time we had the most lovely waitress, Lilly. She cared for our every need, went above and beyond and always had a smile on her face. The food and drinks were great, as well as the atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Very disappointing today I had butternut squash, wild garlic and celeriac wellington as I didn’t want any meat today, it was a pie and a burnt pie at that nothing wellington about it I had to use salt twice to get any sort of flavour from my lunch, I left hungry and cross

Went for lunch today, my mum had the vegetarian wellington which was more of a pie, the pastry was burnt and the filling cold, had several great experiences but today missed the mark sadly

I am a regular customer of The Cliff and have used them for and attended a number of group events in the past, but I particularly wanted to review and commend them for their recent support in organising and hosting a pre-wedding dinner for over 40 guests. I have always had a positive experience eating here, but we have had such lovely feedback from all of our guests who have praised the service, ambience and wonderful food (compliments to the Chef). A massive thank you to Ian, Teryn, Macy and the team who made went above and beyond to ensure this was such a special occasion.

Vegetarians always tend to get a bum deal..... Was informed that the vegetarian option was not available then told it was. Wasn't told that it had been replaced with something entirely different (but hey they're vegetarian, they'll eat it) Was meant to be a butternut squash wellington, had a spinach and suede pie instead. Also, barely any gravy and I had to ask for a Yorkshire Pudding (why is it vegetarians don't automatically get one?!) Final winge.....the cauliflower cheese was tiny! Served with a teaspoon!! They could really do better......

I had a fantastic experience at The Cliff thanks to our server, Harry. His warm greeting and expert menu recommendations made our meal truly enjoyable. Harry was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring everything was perfect. A fine young lad. If you visit, definitely ask for Harry—he enhances the dining experience!

The menu has an extensive variety of options, and everything we tried was great. Many thanks to Harry for giving excellent service during our visit. Harry was the best host and waiter for our evening out, great food and surroundings

I don't normally leave reviews but I have been left no choice by how well I was served by Harry. My family and I went for a meal at the Cliff and we were met by Harry. He was attentive straight as we walked in the door and struck us by surprise with how comforting and familiar he made us feel with this visit being our first. Such amazing and professional service from a young man is wonderful to see. He will do wonders if he keeps up what he's doing. Another bonus was the food 10/10 and will definitely be returning due to impeccable service. He really made us feel welcome as part of a family. HIS family.
