Lovely Sunday lunch! 😊 Beef was cooked to perfection! All veg cooked just right. Everything was fresh and hot. Poppy recommend the restaurant to us , after she came into where I worked. 😊 She was very attentive , friendly and bubbly, all staff looked after us.

Fantastic Sunday roast with the family ,loads to eat and very tasty, very friendly staff highly recommended will be coming back

What a gorgeous little pub! Decor in the restaurant is to die for!! We visited as a family for our daughter’s birthday….all the way from Liverpool as this was recommended! We visited after a day out at Drayton manor…staff were lovely and pleasant, food was presented well and was delicious :) Little extra touch for my daughter was a beautiful board with rock road on saying happy birthday! She was over the moon :) needless to say this made us even more thankful :) thank you so much for the wonderful visit! Hope we can come again soon! Shout out to the lovely waitress who has the same birthday as my daughter :) Luna was delighted thinking you got her the cake and gave a massive cuddle to her on the way out, she was fab! Fantastic place to visit with delicious food and great service. Great views also and setting to match.Booking easy to make on line. Lovely welcome by the 2 girls that served us all evening. Shown to our table in the window ,drinks orders taken and when these were brought our food order taken. All arrived in very good time and all freshly cooked.

30th August was the one off Mexican night in the The Cock’s restaurant. It didn’t disappoint. Not only does it have one of the best views of any restaurant in the midlands, but the chefs knows their spices too. Great food, great service. My only disappointment was that it didn’t appear to attract more diners …… you all missed out.

We’d read the good reviews and thought we’d give it a try - and we weren’t disappointed. It’s an unusual pub in character having been completely rebuilt in the 1940s as a result of the adjacent Fauld ordinance store disaster. A nice touch was the explanation of the pub’s history on their website and the story that the design of building was actually meant for a pub in Birmingham! At the rear is an extension which houses the restaurant which has wonderful views across the Dove valley. A nice touch are the glazed alcoves with tables in so you can be immersed in the view. We were automatically seated at one which was a nice touch. The Spatchcock Chicken was delicious, the service great and the beer good too. With a nice village setting and ample parking it’s well recommended.

We visited the Cock inn and had a lovely lunch, good quality food and very friendly efficient service . The restaurant was very busy but there was very little waiting time.

Nothing short of amazing! We had a smaller young waitress with dark hair, although we did not catch her name, she was amazing! She always had a smile on her face when she came up to the table and was really attentive; not to mention the food was…. Phenomenal. All dishes were perfectly cooked and has definitely made me and the team consider coming back!

As 'friends who lunch', we've dined here before at this lovely hostelry and have enjoyed every visit. Our waitress was very cheerful and nothing too much trouble for her when we plied her with questions about items on the menu while ordering and looking after us extremely well while we had our meal. Food was excellent, as always. Going again to The Cock in about a week's time in the evening with relatives! Can't wait!

We went to the Cock Inn for my husband’s 60th birthday family, there were 9 adults and 2 children. The last time I visited here was back in the 1990’s and oh my days what a difference. It still felt really cosy and welcoming, the food was just amazing. 4 of us had steaks and we all said they were the best we have had for a very long time. The young girls, waitressing were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble Will definitely be going back and highly recommend a visit.

Sunday lunch on a winter’s day. The fire roaring, service wonderful, food excellent and even zero alcohol choices for what feels like a very long dry January! 😆 Compliments to all the team as they never fail to impress. Excellent lunch out in between Christmas and new year. After a lovely walk around Hanbury we popped in. There is a section of the restaurant which is dog friendly so great news. We had food off the set lunch menu which is a great deal for 2/3 courses. However looking at the normal menu it is quite pricy. Food quality great and staff very friendly.

Went for their steak night on Wednesday and had an amazing experience. Service was quick and friendly. We mentioned having a dog when we booked, and a bowl of water was there waiting for our thirsty boy after his walk around the crater. We ordered a sirloin steak and a fillet steak at a very reasonable price. Steaks were cooked perfectly and came with a delicious selection of sauces. French fries and chunky chips were both delightful, and were accompanied with crunchy onion rings, a mushroom pot pie, vine tomatoes and a pineapple and smoked cheese topper which was an optional extra. Atmosphere was warm and cosy. Would highly recommend for a wonderful dining experience.

We were getting very disillusioned with local pubs that served food! However The Cock certainly lived up to expectations! We knew as soon as we walked through the door that we had made a good choice! Welcoming, cheerful and a lovely dining room!

This place is amazing a hidden gem!!! We were looking for a nice pub with a view for some lunch. The restaurant itself is fantastic with brilliant views of the countryside. The food in this place is excellent and such good value for money, portion sizes and quality of the food surpasses many other places we have been to by a mile!!! Service was also excellent!!! We came to the cock inn as we heard good things about it , it was very quiet today on a friday lunch time but unfortunately service was very slow despite only being 3 tables in. The food was ok but just your normal pub food we ordered the ham egg and chips and the all day breakfast , the ham was supposed to be honey glazed but didnt taste of much but ham and the all day breakfast was good. We had puddings and they were fudge and the chocolate torte which were both lovely. The best part was the view of the sheep.

Visited on 2 consecutive Sundays, with a special menu for Fathers day. The usual roasts but also including lamb - quite unusual these days. plenty of meat, tender and delicious (between us we had beef, pork and lamb) Fathers day had Steak and Kidney pie. A proper 'home' made pie packed with S & K, rich gravy and fully encased in short crust pastry. Superb. On both occasions served with lots of seasonal veggies - more than we could eat.

Don’t listen to the reviews below. Since the change of management in the restaurant the food here has got so much better. Me and my partner had the steak and the kids had burgers. The steak dishes were cooked to perfection and the wonderful little surprise of the mushroom pot pie that came with it was absolutely divine. Would recommend for couples as well as family meal out.
