Fabulous Sunday lunch with great service. Easily one of the best roasts around. The restaurant was so busy, and it was easy to see why.

Food and staff always great. Nothing too much trouble. Love the open fires makes for a cosy relaxing evening out.

Very impressed with quality of the food and especially the service despite it being practically full. Well done to servers and kitchen. A great tasting, generous and thoroughly enjoyable Sunday lunch.

Ate there last night. Really disappointed with the Chateaubriand, which I shared with my grandson. It was his first chateaubriand so he knew no different, but it was the worst I have ever had. Small, thinly sliced, overcooked and not great quality meat. In balance my wife had Sea Bass and said it was lovely hence three stars. We also had a voucher for 50% off main courses, which negated my complaints, but it should be 50% off the price not quality and portion size. Real shame as staff were excellent all round and the atmosphere nice too.

We enjoy going to this pub - it's a lovely welcoming pub. Log fire, nice staff and the food is good. I would look out for offers. The drinks are quite pricey, but the bar and seating area is nice.

Lovely country pub atmosphere with a couple of open fires going. Excellent tasting food. Higher priced than a lot of what you'd expect from a standard pub, but better quality to go with it.

We recently visited the Cowper Arms in Letty Green for drinks, and our experience was made exceptional by our waitress, Leah. From the moment we arrived, Leah greeted us with a warm smile and was incredibly attentive throughout our visit. She ensured our drinks were always topped up and even recommended some fantastic options from the bar. Leah’s friendly demeanor and professional service truly enhanced our evening. We will definitely be returning, thanks to her outstanding hospitality

Good venue for a Boxing Day lunch with friends. The pub was very busy and understandably popular. We had 3 course meals from their fixed price menu. We were served promptly, with generous portions. The food was good and nicely presented but the most praise should go to the young man who served us. He was well-informed, efficient and seemed genuinely charming. He bothered to ask if I wanted ice (I never do!), he was helpful about our food enquiries and was alert to all that was happening. We felt he was brilliant and regret not asking his name, as I would have named him specifically in this review!

Quality of the starters and main courses were excellent, considering the volume of customers on Christmas Day, however the desserts were quite disappointing. The only other issue I had was that we had to wait nearly 1 hour between the serving time of our starters and main courses, then when we finished our desserts I was told that you need the table back and just passed the bill without being asked if we would like anything else, coffees or tea, which was was again extremely disappointing. I paid the service charge as it can’t be the waiting staffs problem, maybe just how the kitchen had been managed in the day?

The food and service were exemplary. The turkey was the most moist I have ever had and all the courses were incredibly tasty. I'd like to add a huge thanks to the staff and manager who all helped brilliantly when a medical situation occured. Thanks guys.

Came to this pub with my wife and two children, the roast trio sharer was great and the kids enjoyed their burgers. Would highly recommend this pub for food and they have a great beer selection. The staff were especially friendly, our server Dylan made sure we were accommodated for and delivered our food in a timely manner.

Never a disappointment when visiting here on our way back home from a trip to London. Food as always is very good and always hot. Served by Jasmine this time who was great, polite as all staff are and knowledgeable of the menu. Always so friendly here and always seems a popular place with locals dropping in off the local walking routes.

Lovely business lunch yesterday. Their new menu is brilliant and has a lot of new options that made us spoilt for choice! I opted for their special Octopus, followed by another special of Lemon Sole and both were delicious. My colleagues shared the Chateaubriand sharing steak that the waiter recommended and they said it was cooked perfectly. Service from the staff was brilliant, as it always is. Will be back soon!

Busy place, car park almost full. Fortunately, we booked a table. The Service was great and it felt like they were working as a team . We didn’t have to wait long before our food arrived and it was scrumptious indeed. Tender roast chicken and all the trimmings, with Yorkshire pudding and bottomless gravy. Not much room left for dessert, so they provide a mini portion with a coffee. I certainly enjoyed myself as did my companions and we will be back.

A busy pub, but a nice atmosphere. Brilliant food, good service. The only little niggle was that every time any people came through the main door there was a cold draft at our table.

Very handy pub if you're taking a walk on the Cole Green Way. Stopped here for a quick refreshing beer and Guinness on Sunday evening. Was very busy with lots of families having Sunday roasts etc. And even a birthday party in full swim. But we found a cosy corner for a quick drink. Will be back to try the food at a later date. Used to come here decades ago when the kids were little, but it seems to have undergone a revamp for the better since those days!

I have been coming here a few times a year for more decades than I care to remember and have yet to be disappointed. Monday lunchtime was no exception. The service was great, thank you Trudi, and the food exceptional (I had the king prawn, crab & chorizo linguini). Love the option of a mini dessert and hot drink too after a substantial main.

Nice country pub atmosphere, good starters but we had to return a battered fish to the kitchen because it was slightly off, and service was a bit erratic - one waitress was excellent the other didn't listen to us and brought us the bill instead of coffees.

We visited on Friday evening. It was our first time visiting from recommendations through friends. The menu choice was great and Sharon our lovely waitress was very helpful to recommend the king prawn linguine. It was delicious and the seafood was fresh. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing experience at The Cowper Arms. This was my first time visiting and it did not disappoint at all. Our Waitress, Jasmine was friendly, welcoming and offered amazing service for our Sunday visit. I had the roast trio and every bit of it was so yummy. I will definetly be coming back for more Sunday roasts, and even may visit in the week to try more food.

Lovely place to go for a meal. Food delicious but the service was poor! Had to grab attention of servers every time. Once you had them they were lovely & helpful but lads please stop chatting & watch what’s going on!!

I have been to this pub many times and normally can never fault it, However today 01/09/24 my husband and I went for dinner, I ordered the chicken burger and it was like rubber, to the point I couldn’t eat it, could barely cut it or bite into it. The chicken was also a browny colour inside, not a nice texture or taste at all there was no staff to tell and normally they ask how the food is but nobody checked in with us. After about 20 minutes of waiting for someone we eventually spotted staff and asked for bill, we told her about the chicken as she could see I hadn’t eaten it. She did apologise but didn’t seem to care, so we got the bill and left promptly as I could feel that something wasn’t quite right and I have since spent my evening in the toilet with an upset stomach and vomiting.

I came a couple of weeks ago for lunch and it was lovely. Came again yesterday and the food was very disappointing. We both had the tempura prawn sandwich. Wasn't sure whether the bread was meant to be toasted - it had no colour but was dry. The filling was rather mean and very bland. No Yuzu flavour in the small amount of mayo and no crab at all as far as we could tell. Definitely not worth £13.75. The chips were nice and its pleasant to eat outdoors in the garden.

Lovely Thursday meal. The place was absolutely packed out at lunch time but staff were friendly and kept us updated throughout the meal. Food was absolutely delicious, we went for the lamb & pork belly and both were melt in the mouth. They offer a lunch set menu which has some great options on to. On all of our visits the staff have been excellent and never been disappointed with the food.

I've never eaten anywhere so accommodating and helpful. The staff couldn't be better. The Food was perfectly cooked, and they knew the ingredients and what I could have despite my very specific intolerance.

Good selection of drinks. Absolutely incredible food for our whole group. Nobody could fault anything! Fantastic experience!

Wonderful pub and staff!! My mother loved the fish and chips. Our waiter max was able to swap the mushy peas to garden peas and was very helpful. Definitely recommend to go.

The Cowper Arms was a lovely venue, the staff were accommodating and friendly, the menu had enough variety and the food was excellent and the portions were great. At £100 for 3 people (and two of us had 3 courses and beer), we felt that the lunch was value for money.

Had the Wine and Dine menu which is extremely good value for money. The food selection was brilliant; thoroughly enjoyed the Scallops and the ribeye followed by cheese and biscuits. All the staff were so lovely, especially our waitress Trudi who catered to our every need. Will be coming back for sure. Such a lovely pub !!

Ordered a salad for dinner but unfortunately it wasn’t very fresh at all and the leaves were very soggy and not appetising!! The prawns were good but was the only plus side for me. Nice garden and snacks for the starters as well.

Came here for a birthday party with a big group. Keely and Isobel were lovely in making sure everything was organised. Beautiful location and easy parking. Would definitely recommend!

The Cowper Arms in Letty Green is my favourite local gastro pub in the area. The food is always delicious and the staff are friendly. Also, If you’re looking for a cracking Sunday roast then it’s by far the best one in the local area!

Had a birthday offer and decided to go for a late lunch. The food was very good. I had the fillet Steak, a bit pricey but delicious. All 3 course's were excellent and our server Talli was exceptionally good, so informative and helpful. Highly recommended and looking forward to going back for my birthday in July.

Lovely sunny garden with friendly people

Attended yesterday (Fathers Day) quite late in the evening but was absolutely amazed at the experience my family and I had at this pub. Our lovely waitress Ellie went above and beyond for us whilst we were dining and made it so much more enjoyable!! The food was spectacular, great value for money and was a comfortable environment. We could not recommend this place enough. Will definitely be returning soon.

Service can be a little slow in here sometimes but has always been 5 stars for me! Great food and quality of service is excellent, making you feel welcome with smiles all the time too! Had my graduation a few months ago and everything was spot on, and with a great atmosphere! Cosy little place for the winter and perfect for the summer!

Probably one of the best cheeseburger I ever eat. It’s not easy to fiind a good looking burger and to be good in the same time.The size was more than enough.I take it to eat outside where they have a big car park probably 30-45 car can park in there and 14 tables.If it is a sunny day will be twice as lucky .Inside this restaurant is good atmosphere and lovely dining area.Take a look at the pictures and video.Bon appetite!🥰

Had a Sunday roast delivery. Was pretty impressed by the portion size, was ample. The beef was tender and the cauliflower cheese was smashing, best one so far. I would have liked the roast potatoes to have been a bit bigger and maybe a choice of beef dripping potatoes to compliment the beef ( I am quite picky with roast potatoes). All in all though, a good roast delivered so no doubt just as in good in the pub.
