The Cross Keys in Kensington and Chelsea

Have been going to this pub for years but stopped as moved away. Recently went there and happy to report that the standards have improved. Avi the coolest landlord looked after us very well. Very cosy pub and the specials was amazing. Will be back soon.

We hosted a reception for our daughter's wedding, taking over the whole pub on a Saturday evening - what a perfect place. Andrea and his team created a fabulous atmosphere and really seemed to care - he really understands how to deliver excellence. The Cross Keys is something completely special

Very busy, were asked to move our reservation from 1:30 - 2:30 but was still very slow service. Not enough staff for number of people. Lots of uncleared tables. One waitress totally rushed off her feet. Shame as food was really good

I love this pub! I’ve been drinking and eating here for over 25 years, I’ve seen some changes but it’s still a favourite and I always feel relaxed. The staff are friendly and love the place too.

I used to be a regular here but hadnt been back to this pub for a few years but when my friends invited me along for a few jars I was pleasantly surprised by the improvements I noticed. The atmosphere was much warmer, even cosy, and there appears to be a much greater attention to detail than previously. We did not eat but the menu looked appealing with far more choice than my memory serves me previously. I will return!

The Cross Keys is a classic Chelsea pub with a modern twist. I have been there on Monday.Their food is delicious, with a great mix of traditional pub grub and creative dishes. The drink selection is impressive, with plenty of craft beers and tasty cocktails. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, perfect for a casual meal or a fun night out.

An amazing place as always. I celebrated my birthday here, and the whole team made it absolutely special. In particular I would like to call out Andrea, Amparo and Titos for all their amazing help. The Cross Keys is a staple for Chelsea residents and can’t wait to be back!

Cross Keys, Chelsea was a delightful stop for us while touring the area. Food is delicious! Vanessa and staff treated us very well. Would highly recommend a meal or drinks here!

The three of us enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Cross Keys. We had three courses and all chose different dishes from the varied menu. The plate presentation was especially attractive. The staff were all courteous and cheerful. The clientele was mixed. Butcombe Original is one of the great English Real Ales. Thanks very much indeed for a lovely evening!

Poor , disinterested service, expensive drinks (£4.50 for a Diet Coke, Guinness £7.80), and average food. Family Sunday lunch, we waited for 30’ without any attention and eventually had to go to the bar to request to be served. Ungenerous portions of average food. The manager on duty ‘could not have cared less’ when we complained about the lack of service. Avoid !

… and nothing as it was , they’ve bought the goodwill and lost it, we’re talking corporate owners, who’ll blame everyone but themselves when they’ve lost all their customers. This is how SW3 is now. Try Hunter’s Moon on Fulham Rd . Prince Harry would be happier!

Apart from the terrible service & food £30 was added between being shown the bill & given the c/c machine; this is stealing & beware! Our waiter obviously had no experience, hospitality not his future; everyone complained about their food. Apparently under new ownership and the locals have gone, place was empty. What a shame, used to great local pub/ restaurant.

What a gem of a pub with fabulous atmosphere and friendly service. An oasis of peace and calm, short distance from Kings Road

It’s a very pleasant pub off Cheney Walk so I suppose that might mean you’d expect it to be pricey. The staff are very very helpful . BUT we ordered the ‘sausage roll’ at £7.50 from the bar menu. When it eventually arrived we received two small slices of an average sized sausage roll with a small dipping bowl if apple purée. It tasted as if it had been warmed up in a micro wave - pastry flabby and not pleasant. We commented on the price of this very mean dish and the barmaid could not have been kinder. We were given a second serving each and the chef explained that they needed to do something in order to avoid losing money. We left realising we had eaten £30 ‘worth’ sausage roll and did not really estimate that what we had made up one whole roll. We won’t be going back despite the delightful barmaid.

What an awful experience. The new owner/operator Butcombe has ruined this absolute gem of a pub. We arrived for dinner on a Thursday evening to find the pub half empty and I guess for good reason. Staff did not have a clue what they were doing, quality of the food was appalling (half of the menu was “unavailable”) and the wine menu was barely recognisable and terribly over priced. Dodge this venue under the current management at all costs!

This is apparently under new management sine March. The bar did not have ginger beer The sausage roll now is not a saugage role, although noted as such on the Board, but two slices of sausage roll. A shame, used to be a great place to pop into after a walk and before lunch or for lunch

On a glorious Saturday evening, I had the joy of entering this gorgeous fabulous establishment. I was surprised at the most exist menu available. The venue catered for my disabled brother who was gluten free and had multiple allergies. I had the most exquisite banquet of my life. It was a sad occasion because my beloved husband of 63 years had saldly died in an unexpected house fire. However, with the compadre of the staff I wept a happy tear and I had the most humble dinner of my dearest life. I welcome the love that I received in this establishment. I strongly encourage those to come here for their future events. It has been a pleasure.

We came across this bar while on a walk, while I feel it was full of repeat customers, we were made to feel very welcome. MJ and TITO were incredible and done everything possible to make our visit a great one. A credit to the staff! Thanks so much! Food and drink amazing!

This pub was just a few minutes away from our airbnb and we needed to kill some time before we could check in. We got here a bit after lunch time. The bartender is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Came out from behind the bar to greet us, crack a few jokes, make some suggestions, and take our order. He explained to us what cask ales are, and got us started down that marvelous path. For food, we all got the meat pies or the fish and chips. Both were fantastic. The chef even came out to say hi as well. Great spot, highly recommend!

We have regularly enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast at the Cross Keys but today the food wasn’t up to its usual excellent standard , the service was also slow and more worryingly we were served bread that must have been either on someone else’s plate before or had been dipped in tomato sauce in the kitchen . I see a previous review also refers to food contamination . Not sure we will be rushing back . Such a shame - I see from another review it looks like the management has changed?

I get that you cater to your market and no doubt the wine and food you sell is exceptional but charging £7.45 for a pint of asahi is disgusting, the same pint can be bought for £2 cheaper less than ten minutes walk away. Stop insulting your customers.

My family and I had an excellent lunch at The Cross Keys. Food was great, service was excellent and its dog-friendly. Of the various dishes, the veal stood out.

This is the place we visit when we wake on a Sunday in London and feel like a really good treat for lunch. The meal brings back fond memories of childhood Sunday lunches - roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, horseradish and all the veggies. Just perfect.

Fun, local pub with a surprising history and lively staff. Recommend the burger and pint to warm up along a walking tour of Chelsea. Or for just a nip off the Thames River Embankment. Would recommend returning to this place after the lockdown restrictions lift.

Me and my partner were in London for the weekend and came across the cross keys, we had such a fantastic evening, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was buzzing and LOVED the playlist they had on! My wife and I went to this great little pub/restaurant on Saturday night. Well where do we start, the location is spot on. The decor of the place is superb and I’ve not even started with the service or the food and drinks. We had a young lady named Kris as our sever and she was brilliant from the moment we arrived. Very attentive and knowledgable about the food and drinks menu. As soon as we made eye contact with her she would be over and checking on us. Food and drinks were of a very high standard and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the area. And thanks to Kris and Sam and the rest of the team who made us feel very welcome.

I got a recommendation for this pub restaurant from a friend and it did not disappoint. The service by Dan was amazing, he had great recommendations and a perfect wine pairing for our meal. The goats cheese starter was banging. We also had some cheeky midweek cocktails which Stu behind the bar made with love, they were tasty tasty.

We always go there for a good lunch served by a friendly and efficient staff. Menu and food very good.Shame the bar area has become so slow and ineffective.Always nice to have a drink before lunch, but standing sitting area minimal now ,which is a shame it's no longer a pub but a restaurant. Lovely Pub, but on Christmas Day we were disappointed the roast potatoes appeared to be cooked early and deep fat fried (I couldn’t even cut one if mine) and the sprouts were burnt and the one piece quarter of parsnip I had was raw the turkey was sliced far too thick for my liking a d tasted like processed meat also the Yorkshire pudding was overcooked and I’m really sorry but the way it was presented (for me personally was off putting) so we won’t be comeback especially at these prices £50.00 a head sorry but I like my Christmas dinner.

My meal was lovely but bit cold. Those who burgers 2 had to be sent back. Starters arrived same time as main. Food was spilt over clothes by waiter, told had to bring cleaning receipt in, we live in Oxford. Never asked to refill drinks. So service is terrible food iffy its expensive and service charge is 12.5%. Id would say i have had as nice food in a Toby Carvery. Go elsewhere my advice.

El mejor almuerzo navideño en un restaurante con diferencia. A un precio muy razonable y la comida en particular el pavo fue excelente. La organización y el personal fueron eficientes y, a pesar de que la hora de cierre era tarde, no nos sentimos apurados.

Nice atmosphere and food was OK but the two waiting staff serving us were rude so unfortunately giving 1 star
