Called for drinks only and enjoyed ourselves immensley. A few locals were in chatting and made us welcome. The real ale was spot on. We had a great chat with the locals and enjoyed their fantastic humour. Wished we could have stayed longer. Will be going back again.

Si alguna vez te encuentras en North Yorkshire este lugar es una visita obligada! Un pub propiamente dicho, pero con un toque especial, la comida es fantástica!

This was one of my favourite bars in Harrogate, I was gutted when I heard it had closed. The staff here were fantastic and always made me feel welcome. I will have to go over to Leeds or York to try the cozy bars there from now on, so I hope to see some of you in the near future! All the best. Matt

Last min booking , all went very quickly , received at the bar room information all done . Food and order for early breakfast was completed Room clean spacious and warm . Food was a dirty burger made by Fraser. Served and hosted by Amy and Becca . Great company good humour and professional etiquette.

Fabulous meal! Four of us ate in the bar area which accommodated our requirements for a dog friendly evening meal out. We all selected the 2 course option which was excellent value and the portion sizes are very generous indeed. The terrine starter was a favourite along with the sherry trifle which was delicious. Great service, great welcome and great food. If this was our local we would be regular customers!

We have eaten here a few times after walking in the local area. We had a dismal experience at breakfast at the Kings Head close by so we went here as it opened and had a great English breakfast. It was fresh, well served and the pace is a bit quirky but comfortable and you are always made to feel welcome.

Popped in whilst looking for a quick lunch. Very unusual setting for a tea room but works well with about 10 tables set up between the pews & the altar. The pews act as an overflow area if all tables are taken but we arrived as one was being vacated. Very friendly staff, a relaxing atmosphere and excellent value for money. Menu is limited to a choice of rolls, soup and a tempting range of homemade cakes & scones. Rolls could have improved if pickle, mustard or mayonnaise had been offered but the cakes & scones made up for this as they were very nice. The church itself is a delightful building and worth a visit in it’s own right. An interesting alternative lunch option.
