Amazing food, been using this place for a few years now and never disappoints.

Been wanting to come for a while now and was a bit disappointed. The bar itself is quite cold and everyone is sat in their coats. Food came and the beef burger was great but the chicken was far from it. It tasted cheap, very stringy, chewy and lots of gross purple vein looking bits in it. The smell of the chicken smelt like that of Aldi frozen burgers and it wasn’t nice. I could only eat two mouthfuls before having to stop. Disappointing as I’d heard such good things.

Rarely ever give complaints unless needed and can’t fault my food as was good but my partners food was bit bland tbh, and would of sent it back but service was terrible and didn’t want to go up to the bar again as waited over 45 mins for the food. Ciders was nice but feel the service could do with a bit of a speed up

Absolutely awful service, delivered one hour late, missing AND wrong food from the order all after spending £85 and to top it off received disgusting attitude from the employee over the service chat who then ended the chat without resolving the issue, no phone number to talk to any human without taking the trip to visit in person, absolutely do not recommend and clearly need some staff training as no one knows what they are doing!

A bit quiet tonight, I would have stayed a bit longer, but I couldn't catch either of the barmaids' eye. It's not a biggy as I was driving and on low alcohol.

Struggled tonight find any where to eat on a Sunday evening that welcomed dogs too . What a treat , great beers , amazing burgers & a friendly crowd . Highly recommend 🙌😉😎

I've been popping into this place occasionally since it opened and it has a few good and bad points. Firstly the bad... It's arrogant to assume that everyone can pay by card. There are many groups in society who, for various reasons, can't access a debit or credit card. Additionally, some people like myself prefer to use cash on a night out to better budget and monitor spending. Last night I noticed several people disappointed to not be able to pay with cash. The food menu is great if you enjoy sloppy burgers or fried chicken. Beyond that, there isn't much choice, which is a shame as their pizzas used to be great. It can be a pricey place to visit. I understand it's expensive to run a business, plus you pay more for quality. However, it means that a visit is more of a treat than a regular occasion. And the good... The beer selection is fair/good. I can normally find at least a couple of craft beers I enjoy. Real ale drinkers may find the choice more limited, as many of the drinks are very powerfully hopped with great effort to be of a hazy appearance. The place has a nice vibe, with a great balance of being both a relaxing and energetic environment. The staff are pleasant and friendly. Over the years they have become more professional and less personal, which has its pros and cons. The Monday night quiz was very busy last night and seemed great fun. The noise level meant that a member of our group, who has hearing difficulties, spent much if the evening very detached from the group/conversion. Finally, I loved this place when it first opened as it was fresh and different. I'd love to score higher, but something just seems to have been lost along the way, which is a real shame.

The best burger I ever had! Although on the pricey side for burger and fries, I would definitely pay again, it’s worth it as at treat to yourself! Portions are generous and very filling! Good music, although a little loud but it fits with the atmosphere of the place! Fairly small ish and got packed on a Monday night! Parking is limited on the road so make sure to plan parking if you don’t know the area very well.

We've been a few times and love the variety of burgers and sides available. The flavours are delicious and this time was no different. We went for the Funguy, Bacon Beast and NikNak burgers, with Onion Rings and Rib n Saucy Tenders, all rounded off with a few drinks. Gotta say, the flavours are phenomenal but for for me, the rub on the tenders was out of this world. The location is midway between Rochester and Chatham on the main road, so very easy to find and we always park in Rochester and walk there building up our appetite for the food we're about to devour.

Hate to do this as the food from here is absolutely top tier. The service however isn’t, if you order for collection i am certain they don’t start cooking the order until you arrive. every time i have collected from here or greedy banker they have taken minimum 15 minutes longer than they say and it’s always the same it’ll be two minutes and then it’s 15, i don’t think this is an individual staff problem as they are always nice and happy to help just very poor timekeeping.

Was the only person in there but the bloke behind the bar was a true gent. Happy to talk and had good knowledge of the beers they sold. Didn’t try the food but he assured me it’s the best for burgers.

Really enjoyed the meal here, burgers and sides are delicious - you may have to wait some but it’s definitely worth it. A very friendly atmosphere and fairly priced food and drinks makes this place a gem.

The bar man Jeff was so lovely and polite and quick service, we was overly happy with the service provided by Jeff tonight and made our experience and would definitely go back!

The Dead Pigeon provided an all-round pleasant experience that I highly recommend for others. Customer service was excellent. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked through the door and were highly friendly and approachable. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. This was complemented by a variety of unique beverage options; including cocktails such as ‘the pancake martini.’ I did not try the others but they all seemed inviting. The atmosphere was really positive. Staff and customers alike were friendly.

We haven’t ordered for a while but certainly won’t be leaving it so long next time. They definitely seem to have upped their game as the food was faultless. Burgers were perfectly cooked and flavour combos were delicious. The beef nik naks are something else and highly addictive. Overall solid 10/10

Never again , save your money , a double cheese burger from mcds has more love put in to it , went to collect time given got told our order was given to a different customer had to wait an extra 40mis in total 2hrs 26mins for cold food Avoid , go to the hunger hut on wayfield road your see the difference in price and quality

Sat on a stool at the bar, with football in front and behind on the big screens, but thatbwas fine. I was staying nearby, mainly for work, and found this bar. It stood out (not so much else locally in terms of food). And walking to the bar, everywhere else was very quiet. And then somewhere, with a buzz ... The Dead Pigeon!! The burger was really excellent. Friendly service, good prices. A delivery guy has been waiting a while for a takeaway, and staff, spontaneously, offered him a drink for it taking so long. Nice touch. Nice attitude. If I stay nearby again, I'd come back. Recommended.

Fantastic bar/pub/grill! The food is amazing and I feel like no matter what your choice, you will love what you have but at the same time wish you had what someone else is. Everything on the menu looks great. The portions are more than enough, the side of beef Nik Naks was a surprise delight too. Staff are friendly and can tell they like being there and seeing the reactions from people who aren't expecting the sizes of what they ordered.

Food was superb... ordered a few burgers and sides to split between 3 of us... was all flawless. Hats off to the two female servers, the Service was good despite everything breaking and flooding.

Just ordered for the first time! It was my birthday today and really didn't want to cook! I must say the burgers were 1st class! We had our food delivered and it arrived piping hot! The guy that delivered to us said we wouldn't be disappointed and he was right!! My new go to burger joint 😋

Food was really really nice but it’s not a restaurant and service was extremely slow for the food, but they do make it clear that food service is not their priority. Drinks service was super fast. I’m a vegetarian and every burger could be altered, I would recommend, just don’t go in starving!

The food is excellent, no question; however £85 for what amounts to burger + chips for three adults and two kids, soft drinks only, just feels a bit too pricey. Beyond the food, the experience was average; the staff were pleasant enough and our food didn't take too long to arrive. The restaurant interior is a little tired and dingy but it's a high street sports bar so precisely what you'd expect I guess.

Guys... Do we need to petition for bottles of Brown Butter Mayo? DELICIOUS! I had the phili cheese steak burger and skin on fries, 10/10 really loved the onions and the patties were well seasoned. The fries were perfectly cooked for me, crispy outside soft inside. The cocktails were strong and tasty ( I had the Apple Bramble, my gf had the Princess Peach) I'll probably be visiting monthly to try everything on the menu. Thank you for the great food and service!

Went in and ordered 2 drinks and swiftly left once we were told they dont take cash, well as far as i am aware cash is still legal tender, its a disgrace. You do realise this place is located in Chatham not London right? Well The Nags Head just up the road took a lot of our cash plus we had a great time in a proper boozer, whoever owns the Dead ( it was very desd) Pigeon give your head a wobble .

Best burgers ever, although I could barely fit it in my mouth haha so many to chose from can even create your own. So full of flavour, crispie bun. So good chips really nice to and the home made Mayonnaise was amazing... I would probably order and collect or get delivery next time as not keen on the vibe in side as very sports bar type and can be full of men. But that's just my opinion. Amazing burgers

Sorry, not as good as I ve had in the past by a long way. If you use deliveroo don't bother, the order was light which didn't help. Go elsewhere.

Usually we are eat in but this time took take away and unfortunately we were one hour later for pick up because we stuck in traffic but they remake our food and it was lovely hot and tasty like always. The best burgers ever! Must try! After trying signature every other burger you gonna try won’t be so good. But obviously every monthly special burger it’s worth to try and that’s what I’m doing every time 🤣

Great place if you want to experience an unique burger with good quality if meat. Everything we ordered tak away was very tasty. Portion sizes were good too. Prices seem fair for the quality. This is also a great spot to go and enjoy a pint with friends. I do recommend.

Was OK, one of the items ordered this morning through the website was not available as it was last month's special, and I was told that "for some reason I'd been able to order it". The burger I did have was OK, but very very sweet to the point that no other flavours came through. Fries were lukewarm. Vegan options greatly reduced from previous menu, and no desserts offered anymore. Was better back when they offered pizza and nugs to be honest. Won't be in a rush to return.

The food is absolutely scrumptious 😋 really has to be the best burger I've had so far, I had the new bacony one. Truffle fries are gorgeous bit when I had the hot naga cheese sauce I wish I'd of just got plain fries because its the best sauce I've ever had. Unreal 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Amazing food and friendly staff. They have a wide selection of beers and food. Went there with a group of work colleagues, and we all tried different things (wings, burgers, different types of chips), and every single one of us was pleased with what was served to the table. Well worth the 30 min drive there.

Do visit this sports bar - it does the most amazing food, and very good value! Best burgers I think I've ever had at a restaurant and perfect crispy chicken, also chips! Lovely staff too - super friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks guys!

Wow... I had a great OG burger. Looked and tasted amazing . Probably the best burger in Rochester. Nice elderflower cider to accompany the skin on fries. Great service.

Regarding their sister venue: Asked a simple question regarding the coverage of a football match. Was ignored for three days, then when I went into the bar wasn't assured that the entirety of the match would be broadcast with sound due to it being "Friday night" and possibly it being a championship playoff, not premier league. Huge discrimination. Got a very unpleasant response from their social media, saying I shouldn't come to their bar again. Lucky they don't need to care about people eh?

Great lil pub, food is brilliant, both normal and vegan burgers are great and a good range of drinks.

Visited for the first time this evening after hearing great things. Unfortunately my Loaded Philly Cheese Steak fries had a rather long hair hiding underneath the Cheesy topping. To their credit the staff were excellent and refunded me for the fries and replaced them with a plain portion straight away. Just a shame as I couldn’t enjoy the food afterwards.

The customer service and food is outstanding

Food was great and good choice of ales, asked for no cheese on the burger and came with alot less sauce than my friends who had the same with cheese and was charged extra, apart from that really good beware of ticket wardens thought parking was free after 6pm but wasn't and got a ticket

Our first order from here was so nice, although a bit expensive. We thought we'd treat ourselves again, but unfortunately the food was inedible. One burger bun was so soggy it couldn't be eaten. Onion rings were just onion bits with crumbs on. The wings tasted and smelled like fish.. pink chicken, and covered in hairs. £50 wasted.

Amazing burgers and fries! We had the Philly cheesesteak burger and the chicken gravy one. Also the curry chip shop and roast dinner seasoning on the chips. Lauren served us, she was very sweet, polite and helped us choose as we hadn’t been before. Well what can I say! They were amazing and the chips cooked perfectly. Can’t wait to return!

Food was brilliant - we had to wait a bit longer than expected for it, however it seemed to be a busier (Friday) night than usual due to it being a sport game night. Had a regular beef burger + fries - the quality of the whole meal was amazing - good quality meat and great flavour. The new menu has loads of selection inc. gluten free and plant based stuff. Was a little loud when we first arrived, but after the group of *absolute lads* (about 10 of them) sat behind us left, we could finally hear each-other talk instead of shouting!! Great drinks selection and seems to be run by nice people - friendly and helpful staff. Definitely going back!

A celebratory leaving occasion for a work colleague was not great here. Not a good experience compared with other venues. Burgers okay, chips the same and overpriced, £13.00 for a basic burger and chips, ouch! Some at around an eye watering £20.00, We all had to wait an hour for all our burgers to arrive, and by then we were all fed up and starving hungry in a very cold unheated room and feeling unwell , and we all had to eat with all our coats on. Devoid of any atmosphere with a lot of TV screens dotted around with a bar with very little to no decor. We found out there was no physical menu to look at all, unless you had a phone and could look to see online and you had to get it via QR code on a drinks coaster, which became a problem as some of my other colleagues did not have a smart phone that could do this. You could not then order online either? which confused all of us as we all had to get and go to the bar to order what you wanted, and you could not pay cash either! so what is the point in all this malarkey. All of which I am sorry to say made us all feel very disgruntled and not the best of a leaving celebration. What a palaver just to get a burger and chips!

Really friendly response on facebook to see if they had a table. On arrival a nice welcome with good wine thats not bad priced. Got a little confused with how to order food, but when we worked it out its all bar service ordered with no trouble. Food came fast, really hot and most of all absolutley delicious! We had the butter burger and the american with chips and some chicken tenders. A few pots of tasty sauce on the side! Proper burgers with genorous cheese and excellent pickles! It does feel a little spenny for burgers but I assure you it is worth every penny!! Good quality food, with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We will be back!

I come here on my day off just swinging by we own a tattoo studio down the road and my god what have I been missing ! This place is giving you options beyond your imagination of ales,stouts, local ciders honestly great amazing staff super friendly dude Martin top guy is so attentive! The main thing though that just blew me off my seat was the burger Omy the best burger I have had in my entire life ! Juicy tangy glitched to perfection the bun was gluten free for me amazing to have this option and it was so soft and a great size compared to the patty ! The beef pattys was cooked to perfection there is not one thing I can fault this venue about so kudos to the chef to Martin and the owner the whole place is a pure vibe ! I was on my own today and felt so comfortable as a female in a sports bar it’s decked out with lush rich black walls and rustic wood pallet bar amazing industrial skate vibes amazing xxx defo be back again ! Xx

Great place. Visited on Sunday and really enjoyed the atmosphere for the football. Staff both football fans with plenty of chat. Came back on Monday for the quiz which was great fun! Staff excellent again with great beer knowledge. Had some amazing loaded fries and chicken tenders... burgers looked great so will definitely be back for one soon

O no!!what’s happened to the dead pigeon??Have the owners changed? Came here today and tables not being cleared.Had to ask for my table to be cleared and staff didn’t wipe table down.To be fair staff were nice enough. As for the food,bun seems to be cheap type.burgers and chill crispy beef was warm but chips hot.I haven’t been here for a few years and remember this used to be the best place for burgers.Go to the skull bar in Maidstone if you want the best burgers.

This place used to be amazing and the go to place for burgers, but unfortunately it’s really gone down hill which is a really shame. The nuggets were really tough and the burger was very disappointing and left a foul after taste. It’s a shame. Please bring it back to how it used to be :) unfortunately this has been my last few times going and hoping it would get better each time, but sadly not.

Tonight I went out for a meal here, I have no complaints about the food, BUT quality of service was poor, slow staggered service and wrong orders presented. I was there with 3 friends ( we are all teenagers which may account for the poor service) our food came out separately, waited quite a while and then it came out with a 20 minutes difference between the first and last meal ( mine). When mine arrived it was not what I ordered, The waiter said i could wait for another or have this! I ate it because I was hungry. The meal I got was a fair bit cheaper than what I ordered but I was given NO refund/ discount. A paying customer is a paying customer and the service and treatment they receive should be the same weather they are a teenager or a fifty year old.

I had wanted to try this place for a while and so made the trip to Rochester specifically to try out the burgers. Pub was quiet and lacking atmosphere but there was a friendly barmaid so we made our order and waited. We ordered a Chicken burger and the OG burger, both burgers looked good but were so salty it made them almost inedible. Not sure what happened but really disappointed. A lot of effort has obviously gone in to the design of the burgers, it’s just a shame the execution was poor on the day I visited. Unfortunately will not be returning.

Food is beyond excellent. Really good burgers that will be up there with the best you've eaten. As a pub, well, from the layout it looks like it used to be a shop of some sort so nothing like a traditional pub. But these craft beer type venues get squeezed in all sorts of places these days and they have a good selsection of beer, so no real complaints. The burgers make it worth the trip regardless.

100% the best place for a decent burger delivery! Burgers are amazing, chips arrive hot and still crispy, wouldn’t go anywhere else! It’s worth paying that bit more!
