We did the unlimited brunch at FBS Weekender. We had a boy with a grey shirt and glasses taking our orders. He wouldn't allow us to have more than one drink on the go, said we had to get down to half a drink. That's fine. But; he had no observation skills whatsoever, and we were often left sat with no drinks for long spells. It's therefore not unlimited, it's what you might be served depending on how unobservant your waiter is. Food was good, waiter not so much.

After 50 minutes of watching industrial style ceiling we finally got 3 barely warm meals. The only thing good were chips. Grilled chicken was undercooked in the oven, steak supposedly buttered was dry outside and quickly got cold lied on not warmed plate. Corn surprisingly overcooked (first time in my life). Child's burger was below awerage, positive it had tomato in it. This is really disappointing experience in overall. Member of staff said they're sorry and they had shift swap, but didn't offer any complimentary extra for the waiting. No one asked about the food. Wasted £44 and bad first impression for Butlins on first day of stay.

Claire is the absolute best server I've ever come across. This girl needs a pay rise! So friendly and just lush!!

Cheapest and best place in Butlins with I'm honest but chicken was light pink colour and my mum's had a dark pink bit in her chicken but everything else was good and staff was nice

Main course was OK and on time. Waited over 35 minutes to get a dessert. So annoying

Ordered mac cheese bits for kids for 6.95 2 bits and a slice of garlic bread! Such a rip off even my 7yr old was shocked!

Butlins The Diner is a fantastic place to spend quality time with family. The atmosphere is lively, and the brunches are a must-try, especially with their bottomless drinks – it's an absolute treat! It's definitely worth going with friends for an even more enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

I had the mega mountain burger and cookie dough and cream milkshake, both were excellent. Very good service and atmosphere.

A 1 star rating is being very generous!!!sat here now having waited so long for a meal only to have to send it back because of undercooked chicken and cold food and also missing food!!!!to say I’m disappointed is an understatement we were expecting a lovely diner experience but have been left with miserable faces all round staff look as miserable as I feel right now!!!

Frozen food not great. Big portions.

Everyone that's working had that same lol on their face like they don't even want to be there. Good was well below average. Nachos were very basic. Chicken wings you can tell they were frozen. Fries came out and you can tell they have been re fried my partner's burger was will under seasoned. I just wouldn't bother the waste of time. You would get a better meal going to wetherspoons then having to spend out the small fortune that I do.. xxxxxxxxxxxx

We were really looking forward to our meal here but we're left very disappointed with whole experience. When we sat down there was no explanation on whether it was table service or via the app. After 20mins and no one coming to our table we ended up ordering on the app. Starters were nice but plates weren't cleared after we had finished. After 30 mins and no sign of mains a waitress came and collected one of our plates and didn't collect the rest. Eventually mains arrived and various parts of our mains were missing so we had to flag someone down to rectify. All in all the food was ok but the service was just non existent and the restaurant was really quiet. Also the children's chicken goujons were really spicy so weren't suitable for my 3 year old.

This was a great night well worth the money. Great food came out really quickly, and drinks were non-stop. Music and atmosphere were fantastic.

The food was good but service was poor. Forgotten dinners and no apology when asked for a refund on disappearing desserts. Best food on campus but shame about the system, that is all.

Very enjoyable visit today. Was pleased as an adult couple to be sat away from the larger groups with kids (nothing against kids, just wanted a calmer dinning experience). Cocktails were tasty, food was lush and it was all delivered quickly. Being able to order on the app made it is a very simple experience!

Food was disappointing, but the bottomless brunch was worth the money with the amount of drinks we consumed.

Worst place I have ever had food £80 for me and my kids food dry overcooked microwaved dry been up most of the night not feeling great after eating there avoid worst diner I have ever had comes to something when burger king has better tasting food also staff are so miserable decor really badly worn out I think the management really need to sort this out and give less attitude when you have a issue

Lovely food, brunch expensive at 65.00 for 2 of us. Men playing party games was fun until they started being sick into a pint glass. Not what you want to see wen your earing your steak

Absolutely disappointing.. food is bland and fries are cold 🥶 no atmosphere at all and any query feels like a problem and world war 3 is about to happen side salad is as dead as my nan whos been gone for 10 years. Seating needs to be updated and fixed. Absolutely disgusting butlins please sort this out

Very very short staffed. Waited ages at the door to be greated and then seated. Tables were full of plates so couldn't seat us but customer service would of been nice. When we ordered our snacks (sweet potato fries, onion rings) came within minutes and then we waited ages for 3 milkshakes. They were lovely don't get me wrong but slow down on the food then.

Why does your app show a great vegan breakfast option served until 10.30, when you clearly don't open until mid-day 🤦

Went with my husband and 2 year old in just for tots week. Staff were very friendly. Food was good. Ended up going back 3 times.

Unfortunately not worth the money, food was very dry and expensive for what your getting and some of the staff are very unhelpful, better of spending your money on the Italian across the street

Flavourless corn ,soggy, hot lettuce , burgers overcooked but the drinks are decent. The price is definitely not worth it.

Me and my family have visited butlins for around 5 years and the Diner was always the best place to eat but our experience this time round was awful. Over £100 to feed my family of 5 and the food was disgusting. Staff need to smile and be more friendly. The food arrived within 5 mins and we left most of it. No flavour and thrown on the plate. Waste of money! Would never visit the diner again!!!!

Eating later on in the evening stands a better chance to get a table. When we visited some of our initial meal choices weren’t available, the menu is small so lack of suitable alternatives. Staff were friendly and professional, but waiting times for drinks was too long.

Very bad, greated at the door, told they have a table stood waiting for 5 minutes then she came back and asked if we had not been seated yet. Got seated but noone came to see us for 20mins. So we decided to order by the app. Within 7mins of ordering our food had arrived. Noone came over during our meal at all. Food was very bland and expensive for what was delivered. Don't eat here. Not worth it. It was very quiet hate to think what it would be like if it was busy.

I liked the decor and the American style theme, the fact we couldn't go here for breakfast once because they simply weren't open despite having a breakfast menu was extremely disappointing. Had a burger myself something I'd have thought an American style place would be good at, I was really disappointed it was dry and tough to chew not something a burger should ever be! Then they tried charging us for something that should have been free, mistakes happen but when it's your first visit it really does leave a bad impression.

Really lovely food, great service and brilliant staff! Been in most nights this week. The Boston brownie desert was my daughters favourite ❤️ new girl waiting was brilliant! Unfortunately didn't catch her name. But she was definitely great at her job. 👍👍👍

Sat here waiting for my meal now for 40mins, leaving this review before iv even started eating. Iv never seen such a downbeat bunch of depressed workers. On coming here you expect lively upbeat staff. Drastically needs improvement. (il update my review once food and drink 🍻 is finally served). Food arrived finally 20 mins after sitting down guess what the food was a desert before our main course 😂 food eventually arrived my gfs was completely wrong so i ate my food on my own. Absolute shambles would definitely avoid. My score would be - 10 if i could.

Possibly the worst restaurant on site and that says a lot, food is pre cooked so you can’t ask for things well done etc. The service was as bad as the food

Appalling from the start. Queued for over 20 minutes and never acknowledged once by any members of staff passing. Everyone in queue complaining. Finally got in and had to clean out own table, all tables were filthy even though there was a girl going around cleaning she was very, very slow. Told an HOUR for food even though fairly quiet, had to find a member of staff to take order then told no draught soft drinks. WHY couldn't they of mentioned that when entering? Left. What a waste of time, I have SEN kids who were already struggling with all the wait. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

Average food. Spicy coleslaw not at all spicy and tasteless. Corn on the cob was more a mustard colour than yellow. Quite off putting.

Excellent quality food and drink with great service and reasonable prices

After not the best experience with my apartment I hoped for better on the complex so decided to give the diner a try and unfortunately I was yet again disappointed 90% of the staff we're rude and the food was worse my partners burger was overcooked and when mentioned to the manager he was told it was due to a supply issue the chicken was brown, my meal wasn't much better the batter was dry and burnt I couldn't even bring myself to eat it we complained and said we wasn't happy we understand this may have been disheartening but we wasn't happy about it either. Now not that we was expecting for anyone to butter us up we did expect a apology however we was given the silent treatment and ignored we got up to settle up the drinks bill to again be greeted with rude staff. Our experience with Butlins in general hasn't been the best and this is the icing on the cake I do not and would not recommend the diner!

A little pricey but I kind of expected that, the adult portions were huge and child food was reasonably priced. Some other reviews mention staff but we didn't really have much interaction

Food not cooked properly steak overcooked when asked for medium rare long long wait for food

Very slow on the till/bar taking orders. Thete were 10 of us, and qt least three had to wat separately because the food wasn't brought at the same time. We took three tables and the chairs on our tables were very dirty, so it made the whole place feel unclean. The food was ok, I wouldn't go there again if I didn't have to.

During our stay at butlins I treated my fiancee and our 3 year old boy to a meal to celebrate my fiancées birthday. The food was great and we were made to feel very welcome, the staff especially Maria ,Penny and Emma were amazing. I popped in before hand to asked if I could bring in a birthday cake ready for after our meal. I took the cake in and they prepared everything for me. It was a lovely surprise for my partner when they came out singing with candles lite at just the right time. Thank you ladies for making it stress free for me, much appreciated. We shall be back again next year, great service, you went above and beyond and it didn't go unnoticed. Keep up the great work 👏

Great atmosphere, friendly team

Not many tables for bigger parties. It was suggested today that 6 sit on 1 table and the other person sit on their own. Staff ok but no interaction with us. Food was ok although mine was luke warm. Portions enough. I would probably return.

Service very slow, waiting over an hour for food, and didn't seem particularly busy, food ok but not anything special. Waiters all good though - just think they were short staffed, if i realised this before i ordered and pre paid on a meal plan, would of gone elsewhere.

First the staff were telling people the wait was 1hr 45mins so no one would come in. There were only 6 tables in the whole building 4 that had already finished. The staff were so rude, faces like slapped arses. Staff were stood around playing on the juke box whilst we were waiting for our plates to be taken away and be offered more drinks and dessert. We had to call someone over to order, they acted like we were an inconvenience to them. Shocking service. The restaurant was freezing, with the door wide open. Not sure why considering they weren't even planning on letting anyone in to eat. Bizarre.

Absolutely brilliant, we had dietary requirements and the lady who served us was fabulous, she made sure everything was right. The food was lovely too 😋 ☺️

Handy, easy fast food, great place

Food was average at best when we finally got it. Starters came before the drinks, burgers were burnt. Gave up waiting for the desert and left. One of the problems with the app is you pay when you order. Seems they couldn't care less once you've paid.

Good allround food and friendly staff...

Before we ordered we were told what was not on the menu. Then we had to wait over half an hour before we got our food. Which wasn't to be well rated. Not worth the money. So not happy

Although our server (Justyna) was helpful and understanding, the food and price of food was not enough to make the experience an enjoyable one unfortunately. £9.95 for a dry over cooked burger was tough to swallow, (take that which way you please). Admittedly, we were a group of 17, but 1/3 of our group received their meal 20 minutes before the rest, in a not overly busy restaurant! Disappointing.

Only giving one star due to the Milkshakes which were delicious. The food was disgusting which we waited 45 minutes for and was then told when the food was brought out to us that there was a wait for food! Avoid

Very lovely service from manager to waiting staff. Food was nice but not worth the price really. Restaurant was nearly empty on an evening in peak season which is a red flag for me.

The food was cold dry and awful. I would not recommend. No skin on the skin on fries, burger was so over cooked and dry the bun fell apart. They forgot the kids starters and couldn't remove them from the bull... This was not a good experience

Lovely place to eat. Every time we visit Butlins we make it our mission to eat here at least once, they have some of the best milkshake you will ever taste. They also do a really nice nachos too.

Not very good got food poisoning from here try to avoid at all cost. People being sick all around us. And not being cleaned up. Ruined my holiday

Food was absolutely fantastic, staff were pleasant enough and a nice atmosphere with in. Only down fall for us was getting the main meals before our drinks were even ready. But nonetheless still a nice place with good food.

The waitress who attended to us was very friendly and helpful she alone would receive 5* unfortunately the food came out cold and then was seem to be pinged in the mic, the hotdog bun was hard, the chargrilled chicken on the burger was as dry as anything..... the waitress apologised although this wasn't her fault and offered us 20% discount.

Great food and a great price very tasty and pleant of choice

If you book you take priority not just with having your table ready but you also get your meals before everyone else, so if you just come in for a meal without booking be prepared for a long wait for your food if you haven't booked. I don't think priority should be given to any person or group in receiving your food as we are all equal in being paying customers. Our food was not completely awful some elements were ok but I'm very glad not to be coming back here in a rush.

DON'T ever go here. 1. A fellow customer told me the food was very cold 2. The service was rubbish and we had to wait 45 minutes for our food which never came as we withdrew the order 3. The manager was snotty and failed to except any responsibility for the 45 minute delay 4. If you do decide to make the wrong choice and eat here then book ahead of time because you will receive priority. However our Waiter was amazing, and got in an argument with the snotty manager and walked out with one of his friends. Well done him and his friend.

Food was terrible and over priced, two adults and two children main meals and milkshakes came to £75. Our burgers were burnt and tasteless, childs bbq ribs had a strange taste and were cold, the stuff were lovely and the milkshakes were really good but the food it self was just well below a good standard.

Came to the diner for the first time...Got told all burgers were gluten free when they weren't only the plain burger and plain hotdogs were gluten free not a great start to the night

Decided to go in as we had been recommended to eat here from a friend. It was for myself and 6 others. Upon arrival you have to wait to be seated, a young lady approached us and said how many? We said 7 and she walked off without saying anything more.. when she had returned after 5 minutes she had mentioned there was a 45 minute wait for food as they were busy (there were only 6 tables of people in the entire place) we said we didn't mind waiting to then be told that they couldn't fit us in as they were short staffed!! This is beyond a joke. All staff need customer service training and could do with putting a smile on. Do not recommend going here!!!

Fabulous customer service and great food!

We visited the Diner twice during our stay; the first for dinner. It was a very disappointing visit. The restaurant was half empty but we were still told there was a 45m wait for food. There was no music and the staff were miserable. They also had no gluten free buns so I had to have just a hotdog. Our second visit was supposed to be a quick lunch stop. We wanted the nachos and a milkshake. The girl who served us was so miserable and barely gave us eye contact. She went to check about the pulled pork nachos being gluten free and when she returned and told us they were not she didn't wait to see what we wanted instead, and left. We waited for her to return. Once she did we asked for the plain nachos, again she said she needed to check, and left. After a while I went off to find someone to order and was told she would come... by this time we had been in the restaurant for over half an hour and didn't even have our milkshake! We decided to leave! We normally love the dinner ( at bognor) but if we returned to minehead would not be keen to return....a very dull, unattractive experience!

The restaurant is nice and The staff are nice but the food is overpriced and very poor quality the food was burnt on both occasions we visited. the manager gave us the meal for free, free drinks and deserts which was nice but we will not be going back. we had nicer burgers in burger king! the hot dogs look and taste like plastic

Portions so small i was given half a mushroom and exactly 21 baked beans. Pancakes where disgusting. Such a shame because the interior is lovely. I will not be back .

Food is ok however be warned thatvthe burgers will come out hot however the meat inside can be pink. Prices are very high for what you get. 40 pound to feed a family of 3. But I guess this is ok as you are staying on Butlins.

Food came out before drinks my partners hotdog order was wrong but ate it as was hungry, cheese sauce was too saulty, hard bacon (cremated) the only decent thing to eat was the coleslaw

Couldn’t even eat my burger! Horrendous doesn’t cut it! Tiny patty, drier than the Sahara, harder than diamonds and flavourless! Don’t eat here!!

Great food in classy environment like stepping back to the 50s I would suggest dressing up in rockerbilly dresses and a teddy boy suite but some folks would probably think you work there the menu is pretty much burgers and hotdogs but there are a few other things to tickle the taste buds if you look a little closer Don't forget to 👍

Really nice place in Butlins Minehead. Staff friendly and the menu was really different and tasted so good. Even had the occasional entertainment on. My 11 year old son loved the food in there 😊
