I’ve had the best burger and lemon cheesecake in a very long time. Very busy place on a Saturday night, even so I was served within 15 min of ordering, friendly staff, great location *****

I came here for my work Christmas lunch and it was delicious. A decent selection of draught beers and spirits and a nice environment to be in

My wife and i went for a wee snack while shopping on the high street . I ordered which said on the menu a bucket of tattie skins and my wife the mozzarella sticks. The food arrived and i had like 6 tatie skins with rotten salad and a very small dip on my plate. I‘m still looking for the bucket . I think the menu need to be changed because this is surely false advertisement . My wife had the Mozzarella sticks . Again rotten salad and just 3 small sticks . we did mentioned it to staff when we paid but they didn’t do anything about it . I definitely won’t be back after this. Shame because the place looks actually alright.

Best steak pie ever.. always just enough to finish the plate.. with roast potatoes. Husband had the fish. and the signature dessert is totally amazing.We haven't been out for dinner. But we really enjoyed it.. thank you..

Family down for a fish tea. Food was excellent, nice tasting batter, big chunky chips and lovely bread. Very enjoyable and reasonably priced. Highly recommend

This was a last minute decision on a Thursday night for dinner after work and my first visit. We were seated quickly, as soon as we got through the doors, drinks order taken a short few minutes after and likewise with the food. Our waitress was very friendly, polite and attentive. Would definitely go back. Thanks guys.

Visited with my elderly parents, and the staff couldn’t have been more patient, which was very much appreciated. Both had soup which they said was delicious, my partner had an all day breakfast which was huge. Just a baked potato for me which was perfectly adequate. Will go back for the service alone- thank you Duchess!

Visited the bar restaurant. It was a busy period and service was a little slow but fine. Good selection of food at reasonable prices and children's menu/ drinks available.

I'd heard really really good things about The Duchess of Kirkcaldy, so we headed there today for a bar lunch. The food was superb (forgot to take photos of the puddings though, oops!) and the serving staff were bubbly, friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed the overall experience, and I can tell that it was a great place to go for something to eat and drink, as it was getting quite busy whilst we we there. Bonus points for the option of gluten-free (nice to see places catering for different dietary needs!) and the interior was really snazzy too. The prices are affordable and reasonable, with two drinks, two main meals and two puddings coming in at just under £50. I'd say that it is quite good value for money.

The food is out of this world good! We usually go for the lunch menu and our go to meal is the Macaroni cheese sourdough garlic bread and chunky chips and my god is it good! Also tried the chicken goujons and Mozzarella sticks and try are ALWAYS cooked to perfection! I mean they are SO damn delicious! The side salad is always fresh crisp and tasty too. The service is good, the food sublime, all that's left is for you to get down to The Duchess and eat! Go! Go! Go!

The Duchess ? Class. Pure class. Best bloody Marys in Bloody Scotland . No ...In the UK . No? In the world . And I have drunk them all over the Universe . I am an astronaut . Decor is immaculate . Staff are beyond excellent . Manager is top notch . Go here . You will love it.

Was there for a drink food the mrs food was good cajun chicken and a strawberry daiquiri!! Spot on!! I had a cola and steak pie!! Very disappointed no flavour watery gravy... Actually left it went home hungry....

1st time in the Duchess. It's in need of a makeover. A bit dark. Very clean. HOWEVER. The staff are lovely. The food is delicious, I had the steak pie with roast potatoes. I noticed a big eater but I managed most of it. My husband has fish. Yummy. We will definitely be back. Thanks to the staff. Xx

Daughter surprised me with a meal for fathers day and although we hadn't booked they had room for us, all the staff we're friendly and helpful and the food was served piping hot and tasted delicious. Would definitely recommend for a good meal, good atmosphere and I sure any entertainment will be first class to.

we had light refreshments in a friendly atmosphere,very professional staff verp polite ,and sitting minding our own business an this women came in with her dog at small lounge area and girl was very nice with her brought water for dog 🐕,an she ordered a coffee and she was sitting on couch and I couldn't believe my eyes she lay down put her feet up and manger came an asked politely to remove her feet from furnicher ,an she said no as that's what scoish people do ,eh no we don't we respect our establishment,she was very rood ,so there are nice people in the world 🌎 an there r not so nice people ,an lovely people alot off restaurants ,pubs ect have to put up with this unfair just telling the truth we love going in there lovely place thank unvery much for Ur service ❤️

Excellent food and cocktails. The music, quirky decor and friendly staff makes this one of our favourite places for lunch, dinner, cocktails or a night out.

Amazing night for my daughter's 21st, everything was perfect, from food, to the service,even the balloon rescuer.

Went for food and drinks on a Saturday evening. Not too busy as still early but the same problem of stacking up the tables right in front of the bar exists. Just makes it a battle to get served as so many people crammed into a small space as the might progresses. Barman was sound and said he would bring menus over. Quick service and decent menu. Food was OK, nothing to rave about and wouldn’t return but nothing to complain about. Bizarrely they seem to serve peas and carrots with everything. Decent enough but never experienced it before as a side to a curry, or cajun dishes! Waitress was professional but overall should stick to just being a pub/live music venue.

Great night here, loads of folk and a jam band with lots of people on and off the stage all night. Nice choice of drinks and menu looked good although we didn't eat. The Sunday Jam session has a great atmosphere and was busy most of the night. Lots of opportunities to get up and join in. Will definitely be back!

We went to the duchess on Saturday night to see Cody and the frets playing...we had a few ciders and enjoyed the musical entertainment. The bar staff were friendly and efficient and will definitely be back again

Very vibrant atmosphere with delicious beverages. The food is decent and tasty. The staff are super friendly and they are dog friendly so a mega bonus to me, my wee one loves sitting at a booth watching everyone. Their event evenings are excellent fun. Lovely place,staff and tasty eats well worth a visit.

Dropped in for some lunch. Place was busy and rather noisy. Food was hearty but nothing particularly special. Bit of a labyrinth if you head off to the toilets ... but follow your nose and you'll get there

It was a long wait between courses, great company though!

My wife and I were on a break for our anniversary and went in for a meal and on arrival we met Gracie who showed us to our table. She took our order and when the food arrived it was amazing and the service from Gracie was first class, she's a lovely girl and we tapped into her local knowledge about where to do some shopping the next day. She told us the best places to go and let us know about the market that local traders put on on a Friday. Everything about the Duchess Kirkcaldy from the ambience, to the food and the music played was outstanding and I'd recommend this establishment to anyone local or even passing through. I'll definitely be back the next time we visit Kirkcaldy a well run and spotless restaurant, we'll done to all the staff for making it friendly and an amazing place to eat.

It was a good night watching the live band, the bar was busy and the music was good. The evening meal was ok, just ok. We were at a table of 12 and we all enjoyed our evening

Saw QueenEsque here last night, fantastic venue, one of our favourites. We didn't eat, just had drinks, but despite being busy the service was really fast and efficient, and the management and door staff were really helpful

Had a great meal with friends, it was a week day so quiet, but it's a very interesting place and the food was lovely!

Had lunch here today after a few busy months , was not aware Dallas had handed over the reigns to Blyth & would not have known otherwise if we hadn't chatted to the lovely waitress about it, busy resturant, really good food,affordable prices, friendly staff. Arrived without booking on a Thursday night, seen it was quiet. Was told at 18:53 the kitchen was closing at 19:00 Upon ordering quick. I ordered steak frites and asked fir medium rare. I plate arrived with what looked like a fried egg had been sitting on a breakfast buffet since 9am. Not one oz of liquid. Steak had been cut at least medium well. Hadn't even been rested, frites looked as though they had been scared with hot oil. I immediately asked for it to be removed and taken off the bill. Not one member of staff apologised or asked if I wanted anything else. Looks like too much concentration on booze and decor rather than staff training. I mean what chef can't even fry an egg? Will not be returning. Absolutely awful.

We were in one of the wee private rooms, the service was good ,my granddaughters steak pie was awesome. My wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed the fish. My curry was very tasty.

Good atmosphere with Bohemian decor. A wide selection of beers reasonably priced but no match for the cheaper chains. Food is medioca for a pub but its not awful. They serve a high tea with cocktails which seems popular with the ladies.

Afternoon tea, mediocre food, scone a bit burnt and petit cakes just alright! Tea cold and had to ask for fresh on a few occasions. Service was pretty slow and we were overlooked being tucked away in a corner . Overall disappointed

Wasn’t expecting much from this place as looks abit basic from the outside. However inside, very quirky decor, friendly staff, excellent service and the food was incredible. The biggest chunkiest chips I’ve ever had! We had a burger and the Cajun chicken and a sharing platter to start - would highly recommend!

We popped in on the off chance of a late lunch, we also had our little Yorkshire terrier with us and hoped that they were a dog friendly place, the staff were very nice with a warm welcome and a bowl of water and treats for our dog the food and drinks were served quickly with a genuine smile, a varied menu with very good food, will definately be back

Popped in for lunch. Place was lovely, loved the decor and the music was just the right mood. Food was fine service was good. Looking at about £15 per person on the cheaper side of the menu. Bet its a great place on an evening for a drink and had a small stage for live music.

Visited with my friend. We were served mostly by Dominika and Rachel - absolutely brilliant service from both. Cheerful and super attentive. The brunch was very well organised and was timed great. Food was really beautiful and the cocktails were lovely. The Cajun halloumi salad looked great and the black pudding salad was also delish. Excellent portion sizes. Cocktails were all beautifully presented - thank you to the bar staff. The night went on and Wlwe were assisted later by Rowan and I did say I'd mention him so thanks for the high five!

Band were excellent and the pints of asahi were spot on.

Lovely venue but service was unfortunately poor when we went for a group meal with drinks. Kept having to flag down staff and saw are drinks standing at the bar for 20min until we asked for them (multiple times). Some confusion with the special menu which did not clarify that alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were either in one or another set menu, this was only stated midway through the menu and then got charged extra despite it being the menu that wasn’t clear

We had the best night ever last night!! The Duchess kindly hosted my Hen Night, 53 of us for food, drinks and dancing. How the kitchen managed to get all the food out at the same time was amazing! Food was very tasty, no complaints! I had the Cajun chicken and it was delicious. Complements galore for the chips too! All courses were served by fantastic staff, friendly and helpful. Bar staff were great too! Providing excellent cocktails, bubbles and of course shots! Live band, Deaf Monkey, were on from 9pm. Brilliant cover band, had us up dancing the night away. I honestly can't thank Dallas, Blyth and all the staff at the Duchess for such a wonderful night! Love you guys ❤️❤️

Disappointed in the food, fish batter was uncooked. If waiter Blyth had done courtesy check back he would of realised that I wasn't eating my food. When I got his attention he was polite and apologised, he did offer me something else or fish to be taken off my bill. I picked something else, but it did mean I was eating on my own as my husband had finished his food. A simple check back was all that was required for myself and my husband to enjoy having a bite to eat together.

We visited The Duchess for lunch on the basis of its good rating on Trip Advisor and it certainly didn’t disappoint. From the outside it doesn’t look too welcoming but once you walk through the door all that changes. The decor is stylish and service is friendly and efficient. The menu is wide and varied with dishes to suit all palates. Portion sizes are generous and the food is perfectly cooked and well presented. The privately owned Duchess provides an enjoyable dining experience and is well worth a visit.

The Duchass was so busy but very welcoming a very friendly atmosphere were you can tell locals also like to eat..service was quick staff attentive food was really good.We were a table of 13 people who all were served at the same time without anyone finding anything to complain about, I think that speaks for its self..

We had Christmas lunch here on 10.12.22 and couldn't fault the meal or the service both were fantastic but when we booked we were told to try and pre order from online Christmas menu and pay £10 deposit. The online price is £19.99 and at no time were we informed that the actual price was £29.99 and the online price was last years!! So came as a bit of a surprise when the bill arrived with no explanation. We asked one of the waiting staff to be told that was last year's price and a lot of customers had questioned their bill. Come on The Duchess you need to sort your online menu and prices.

Food is absolutely delicious, but if I can make a suggestion make the chips a little less chunky or offer fries. I'm not crazy about big chips.

I've been here for a family meal which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were friendly, efficient and so patient. Also been here for a couple times to watch an 80s band called Rewind. Absolutely fantastic time. Would highly recommend this establishment. Keep up the good work guys

I have lived in kirkcaldy all my life and never even thought about visiting the dutchess until last week, to say I was blown away is an understatement. The inside is absolutely stunning and has a wide selection of food and drink that everyone can enjoy. I would highly recommend the reapers rum If you're looking to try something different

Afternoon tea: lots to choose from tasty chicken strips, sausage rolls, good selection of sandwiches, scones & mini cakes. We certainly didn't eat it all. Highly recommend, lovely warm atmosphere and friendly staff.
