Went for drinks and had a great night in a lovely pub. Served by the excellent Max behind the bar.

We regularly meet up at the Duck with friends as it is our local pub. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is good and there is always a decent atmosphere. There have been lots of changes of the past few years and they have all been positive. Staff are always polite and quick (especially max, who has served us often), even when they are extremely busy. We will be back soon.

Excellent service, polite friendly staff, Luis, Max, Katie and Lauren, always very helpful, great bar staff, good atmosphere and lovely food.

Duck in the pond is a great local pub. The atmosphere is chilled and relaxed. Staff (in particular Max) serve you with a smile and always ready to help. Definitely will go back.

Had a lovely evening here last night. A group of 9 people. All thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Even though it was busy the service was very good. Duck in the pond is definitely one off the best pubs. Have never had any issues here. Staff are great.

Spiced parsnip and sweet potato soup arrived overcooked and congealed. Steak and shepherd's pie was great. Excellent service with a warming ambience.

Pub has a great atmosphere and very cosy inside. Outside area is also good too. Great service, Lewis made sure all our drinks were served quickly and efficiently. Great pub!

Lewis has provided fantastic service for my uncles wake. He was very comforting and made everyone who attended be able to focus on the important things. A genuinely lovely bloke.

Lewis was awesome. His customer service and cocktails were exemplary. He has gone above and beyond and made my visit to the duck just what I needed after a very stressful week . I have already scheduled my next visit for Fri 31 st . I just hope Lewis will be behind the bar 👍🤞🤗

It’s been a while since my wife and I frequented a local pub. So about 6 to 8 months ago we decided to try our local again as we noticed it was billed an “under new management” and we hadn’t tried if for a few years. Well, what a change the duck in the pond has gone through. We stopped going here because it seemed run down, below average food, uninterested staff. Now the place is clean, tidy, inviting, warm, friendly and just a great place to be. We’ve tried the food many times now and it’s always lovely. Good menu, something for everyone, hot, tasty and not over priced. Recently when we were there we were served by a young lad named Lewis who went out of his way to make us feel welcome, made sure we had the seating we wanted and made informed recommendations about the lovely menu which we went along with. The lad is a credit to his management and the company. Well done Lewis, well done Duck in the Pond. Cannot recommend this pub high enough. We will definitely be making this a regular place for us and our family. ❤️❤️

Recently started my business and now I have most of my meetings / business lunches at the pub due to their great service especially from Aaron with his top notch recommendations and you can't beat great tasting pub grub.

Always a lovely place to visit, staff are great and know our order before we even get to the bar haha! I recommend everyone to try the spicy chicken nachos they're sublime. Aaron takes care of us all the time :D

Great service as always. Shout out to Aaron, not there as much as he once was but when he is on shift he's amazing and he pours the best Guinness!

I realise it was a few days before Christmas and so the majority of the sparse clientele was Christmas parties, but I came in to have a pint in the warm and read a book for an hour, and instead I got a series of severe looks from patrons and was made to feel distinctly uncomfortable. Now you might say that could be my fault - I am tall, dark and god damned handsome - but in all honesty I'm not convinced. There were two old geezers loudly arguing about Arsenal, a chap yelling loudly into his phone about how to invoice to avoid additional taxes, and two business-types guffawing (loudly) over their Guinness. They all have me severe stink-eye! Now, not the pub's fault, I will concede, but it's their atmosphere I'm in so they don't get the full bones for that score. Staff were fine, no more, and the beer was mass-market. It's an Ember Inn after all. Still, in a nice spot, it's big and warm, and on another day it might have been a fun place to be. I'll try again next time I'm in Stanmore.

Had a lunch with ladies from the club I go to, celebrating Christmas. The food preordered was fabulous very hot and tasty. Their caramel profiteroles were to die for!! Best meal there for a long time. Great time had by all.

Haven't been here for over a year and have to say what a lovely dinner i had and the service was great. Staff were really friendly and will definitely be back again.

We booked a table here for a festive Christmas Sunday lunch and we had a lovely time. We sat down to our reserved table which was decorated, had crackers and even a personally written Christmas card which was a nice touch. The Christmas turkey dinner was well cooked and very generous, the staff were very polite and helpful. A great experience which we would happily return for.

I really liked the vibe in this pub. It has a large seating area and a fire, which I always love about country pubs. There are 2 entrances which I was not aware of, so I parked on a side road, but I'm guessing the other car park I missed has a larger capacity. You can order at the table by scanning the bar code, which is a bit of a faff because you need to register etc. Didn't have a meal, but just some starters.

We had pre booked our Christmas dinner for two. Turned up in good time only to be told that the table was not booked . So we were shown to the smallest table on the planet . Caught between a draft from the widow and a pillar. No turkey available or 2nd choice. Also not available was an apology. Thanks 🙏 for ruining our first Xmas dinner of the season. Bah humbug!

The Duck was OK but in the last 9 months it's become GREAT. What an improvement. Yesterday for Mothers Day we went as a family, I would give the Beef Rib Roast 10/10 it was superb. Apart from the delicious food, which we all enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks and service were excellent. It being very local it's actually become our local, yesterday was my third visit this week. It's the ideal place to take or simply join friends for lunch or dinner. It has a large varied menu to suit all tastes and the drinks selection is exceptional, very good wine. Last October I sadly held my dear husband's wake there and they did me and my family proud. An extra shout out to Tina who was so kind and helpful at that sad time. Please stay as good as you've become.

We had a table set out with lovely Christmas decorations ,it looked lovely.We as a family get together a couple of times a year this is our second time at this venue. We even had a Christmas card from the pub a very nice touch.

Came for the Santa's breakfast with 4 children and adults, lovely service, lovely atmosphere, all staff, manager and santa and his elves were very committed! Each child got a lovely present bag and individual opportunity with santa, and photo opportunity too

Choice of food which is reasonable & one has got to be careful of not being overcharged for any drinks. 21.3.22 Management has changed & who need to become familiar with any offers being promoted on behalf of the pub! Friendly staff. 23.3.22 Apparently no staff to cook food & customers are kept waiting with dirty tables & bar! Unacceptable. No point in providing meal vouchers if they can't be used! Ridiculous. 17.7.22 Tasty duo roast lunch served on Sunday by friendly staff. Toilets 🚻 need to be kept clean & smelling fresh. 22.11.22 & 28.2.23 Tasty food served by friendly staff in ambient surroundings. Some items on the menu were not available! 29.4.33 The tables need cleaning & clearing up, as do the toilets! Bright & lively atmosphere. 22.11.23 Tasty food served by friendly staff in a clean environment, however, the stinking toilets 🚻 & corridors need cleaning & freshening up! 6.3.24 Tasty food served by friendly staff in a cosy atmosphere. However , the toilets & corridor are overcome by the overpowering stench of urine! 3.12.24 Tasty Burger & chips served by friendly staff in a clean & warm environment.

One of the few pubs around harrow that I'm happy to go with family to. Some of the staff can be a bit off, some are absolutely lovely, but generally polite and helpful. The food is overall pub grub. Not a gastro place by a long shot. But clean and well presented.

There was a party of 12 of us and we were well looked after. Tina was fantastic, friendly and accommodating to our needs. Food was amazing, we had a range of meals from roasts to hunters chicken - all were beautiful. Would recommend all my friends and family visit.

A great pub, and a proper pub at that. It's one of those few places that has kept its character and the essence of a real pub, whilst also being clean, fresh and well looked after. The team is great and the management has really whipped things into shape over the past year. We've brought a lot of people in over the past few years, and they've all loved it too.

Tina greeted me with such a warming smile and made me feel really comfortable upon entrance. I just had a few beers with me and my work mate and just had a lovely time. Thanks guys.

The staff were very helpful especially Isabel who made sure everything was ok throughout the night.

We booked prior to our visit. On arrival, we were directed to our table which had been reserved with my name. We perused the menu and chose meals from the Sunday lunch menu. The food was delicious and rather substantial considering how very reasonably priced the set menu was. All staff were knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. We were asked immediately on ordering if anyone in our party had allergies and there wasn’t a long wait for our food to arrive, it was beautifully presented and piping hot! The establishment itself was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. We never once felt rushed. After our meal, we took the opportunity to sit outside with our drinks, there are plenty of shaded areas to sit under as well as the usual outdoor picnic style seating. Overall, The Duck In The Pond is a great little spot for a meal with friends or family, staff are welcoming and inviting, it’s value for money and well worth a visit!

Took my mum for brunch, sat outside and the garden area was lovely. Staff were friendly and attentive, and service really quick. Food was tasty and I’d recommended. Iced coffee was perfect quality.

We went to the Duck in the Pond for my birthday dinner. Table was reserved with my name. Staff were very friendly and polite, even wishing me a happy birthday. Loved the food, I am a picky eater and they catered for my tastes very well. I had the hunters chicken schnitzel which was lovely and the vegan cheesecake is to die for! Lovely atmosphere and will definitely be visiting with my family again.

Met up with family who were over from it Ireland for a family funeral ...although it was a sad occasion the atmosphere in the pub was just right. We ordered food which was delicious, car parking is free staff were friendly 👌 just an all round lovely pub and would most definitely go back . Highly recommended 👍

Nice on a hot day to sit outside and eat

First off the food was really surprisingly expensive. Secondly, the food took FOREVER to come. We went in and ordered before 8, at 8:30 a member of staff came to inform us that under 18s had to leave at 9. I informed him we hadn’t received any food yet and had just received our drinks (ordered on the app). At 9:05 the food came out. We were eating and another member of staff, maybe the manager (looked like a wannabe Post Malone) came and very rudely and stroppily told us we needed to leave now. some of us still had food in our mouths. We explained what had happened and that we were literally finishing our mouthful of drinks and bit of food we had left (which we had paid just under £100 for, for 2 adults and 2 kids!!!!) when he started ranting that multiple members of staff had told us to leave at 9… I cut him off and said we had only spoken to one member of staff and hadn’t seen or spoken to anyone since receiving our food. He was VERY rude and confrontational. The conversation/ argument that ensued from him took longer than it would’ve for us to finish up and leave. He made it clear he wasn’t apologising for the food being late, as I said “thank you for your apology for the slow service” to which he replied “that’s not what I’m saying that’s not the point”. We 100% will not be returning. We’ve had two terrible experiences here, and even though the food was 100% better this time, the service was just as shocking.

Terrible food, but helpful staff

It's an Ember Inn, a child-friendly venue in a nondescript area on the Harrow Weald/Stanmore borders. Put another way, it serves a vital purpose in the life of the local area, but it will never be a must-go destination for those living outside its catchment area. Lucky you, Harrow Weald folk, to have somewhere to go to in your spare time. Stanmore itself has nowhere now, unless you want to live on curry.

Great for a drink and a meal... I enjoyed a group visit for the buffet. Good food, and some good offers during the week.

The service here is brilliant. Max in particular was amazing 5/5 on trip adviser. Ps the chocolate browine and orange sponge were to die for😃
