Excellent local pub with a great kitchen. Yet to try the burgers but fried chicken and cauliflower are very good. Solid pub quizzes too!

A little disappointed. Nice place, great atmosphere, but this is what happened: We booked for the Sunday roast. We arrive and get our table, order a pint of beer and another pint of cider. The cider was completely flat, no fizz, dreadful. Okay, this happens, the menu looks amazing and the description of the old beef roast increases my appetite. We wait for someone to take our order for the roast. No one shows up. After 20 minutes I decide to go to the bar to order. The very kind waitress seems a bit embarrassed, and tells me the chef didn’t show up, or something like that, and there’s only one guy in the kitchen today. Food can’t be prepared for another 30 to 40 minutes. So I ask, by what time will the food be cooked and ready for us? “Probably another 40 minutes, but I really don’t know”. The waitress was very polite and professional, but we had to leave as we couldn’t wait that long for the food. Hopefully we’ll be able to go next time we visit London (from Paris). (Modified review)

Un fantástico almuerzo de domingo, los cinco disfrutamos de nuestras comidas. 3 de nosotros tuvimos la carne de res que se sirve rosa con verduras muy bien cocidas, el pollo estaba genial y la lubina bien cocida. El personal era amable y atento y el precio razonable. El pub es encantador. Definitivamente darle una oportunidad.

Very cool pub! The vegetarian bratwursts with gravy were fantastic, the falafel burger was also delicious, but the fries were a bit bland and unsalted. Prices are very expensive as is typical in the CoL.

A classical pub experience. Food wise I would say we did get a 7/10, it fulfilled expectations to a pub, it was hot, quick and it was nicely displayed and it all tasted well. Sauces and stuff was like more simple than in a restaurant. The Shareabels & beer were good. Service was also good but not great. Overall I would recommend it to everyone for a pub experience

Our visit was really good. We came for our work 3 course xmas dinner and everything was perfect! Food was good, service was perfectly timed and we really liked that the waiter knew whose food was whose and got to know our names. We were given a great table and there was a nice atmosphere. Would defo recommend :) Thanks!

Very enjoyable food and drink. Staff great and friendly. Became a little too crowded later in the evening but not an issue as we were leaving.

We hosted our work Christmas meal at the pub and it was a great success! We were a very big group (36) and the team were extremely helpful in organising this, with a very easy pre-order system. On the night, they took great care of us, offering welcome proseccos for all the guests and constantly checking in on us. The food was very good value for money (we got the 3 course festive meal) and everyone seemed pleased with the quality. I would really recommend this for anyone looking for an Xmas meal around Hoxton !

You need to change your chef as the food sucks guys . Please change as the place is really nice but your food is really really not good . Nachos cant be eaten at all

A fabulous pub, just the spot for a lunchtime drinks and superb food. The pie, mash and veg 🤘....we had a great laugh with superb bar staff. My customers really enjoyed the afternoon.

We popped in for a quick pint. Ended up with a number of pints and bar food. Excellent decision made by all. Top class environment. Made to feel very welcome. 2 Brits, 2 Bulgarians and a Romanian popped into a bar…. Sounds like beginning of a mad joke, but it was the most pleasant of afternoons.

Decent pub, good atmosphere, friendly service. Nice beer garden in the back too. I did not expect too much from the food, so I was pleasantly surprised, my pan fried seabass was very good and not overpriced for the area either.

Very average dining experience at the Eagle - we ordered the roast beef and it came out looking amazing however the veggies were undercooked and barely warm. The meat was “ok” but definitely not what we were expecting for a roast meal in a London pub with positive reviews. We enjoyed our drinks, the atmosphere and the service was good. Would not return.

The atmosphere and location are nice, but it was really overpriced for what it was. The salad itself lacked a good dressing/balsamic to tie it together. The food also took quite a while considering it wasn't at all busy, and the serving was lackluster. The outdoor area was nice and so was my drink!

At the foot of one of the iconic buildings of the moment there is this place that combines modernity and tradition. The only limit is the limited selection of red beers. However it's worth it!!

Mi marido y yo vinimos a tomar una copa cada uno y dos platos pequeños. Mi marido pagó con su tarjeta de crédito (sin contacto), pero la camarera insistió en que la transacción no se había realizado. Luego fue llamada de nuevo y a mi esposo le dijeron que tenía que pagar de nuevo de lo contrario no le servirían. Mi esposo estaba convencido de que el primer pago se realizó, pero la gerente se volvió muy grosera. Esta mañana, después de haber consultado con la compañía de tarjetas de crédito, nos han cobrado de más 31 libras esterlinas, haciendo dos bebidas, una patata frita y un plato pequeño 60 libras esterlinas. ¡Cuidado!

I had booked a spot in the garden for my birthday celebrations, had a nice large area for us to all be able to gather and chat. The communication before and on the day was great. Staff on the day were lovely. Great drinks selection. I ordered from the buffet menu for guests and everyone was very complimentary about the food. Portions for the buffet are generous. Overall, was perfect for my day!
