Charged my card twice. Mistakes happen, but I then spent a week trying to contact them using the only two contact methods available. Left messages on the mobile number provided - ignored. Sent several messages using the online form on the website - also ignored.

Really let down having booked weeks in advance and confirmed the day before only to arrive on Christmas Eve with a party of 8 to find you closed 😔😔 travelling with a diabetic so food planning was key

Went here for a group Christmas dinner last year and it was brilliant so booked again this year. Popped in to ask if we needed to pre-order anything like last year as I was passing and found our booking had been cancelled as they had a large party instead. No comms, no apology, would have been turned away on the night if I hadn't popped in. Appears to be under new management. A real shame as this was a great place but no longer

Una semana antes, recibí un correo electrónico diciendo que el lugar ha sido reservado para un evento ese día y mi reserva tiene que ser cancelada. La persona que envió el correo electrónico dijo que no saben cómo pude reservar una mesa, pero simplemente lo hice a través de OpenTable. Obviamente no fue culpa mía que hubiera podido reservar, y la cancelación fue muy frustrante, especialmente porque la posibilidad de reservar en otro lugar con tan poco tiempo de antelación durante el período de Navidad es escasa (mi madre tiene un perro pequeño, por lo que a donde podemos ir es limitado). El correo electrónico no aceptaba respuestas, así que llamé a The Easton. El miembro del personal bastante abrupto con el que hablé dijo que no había nada que se pudiera hacer. You reserve a dinner with friends with success only to be given a decline 2 days later with no apology. And OpenTable only allows you to give a a chance to review if you’ve eaten there so DO NOT TRUST THEM. They are not people centric

Had perfect Roast Dinner here on a cold, rainy Islington Sunday. Beautiful wine selection, great service, delicious cauliflower cheese, perfectly cooked beef over peas and cabbage in gravy with a side of horseradish. If this was my neighborhood it would be my Sunday local. Cheers to the Easton.

Visited with a friend The Easton for dinner on a quiet Sunday evening after finding the Wilmington next door too packed. Really nice surprise actually - super chilled vibe and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Wasn't sure if they were still serving food at first but the kitchen was happy to accommodate us. Had the beef and cod burgers which were spot on, and good beer options too. Proper relaxed spot with genuinely friendly service. Would definitely come back, especially when looking for a more laid-back evening meal away from the usual Sunday chaos. Bang average roast on a Sunday. Cheap meat, undercooked potatoes. Not worth it at c.£20 per main. Avoid unless changes are made

Food: had the roast and it filled a hole but did no more. Beef was inedibly tough and roast potatoes were solid lumps. Vegetables were a masterclass in al dente. Drinks: half of beers on tap not available and tiny wine list.

Appears to be a lovely and quiet pub. Unfortunately hours and menu are inconsistent as Sunday roasts are not available after 5pm. Open table allows reservations for after that and doesn’t state that the kitchen is closed. Bartender was nice enough about it and luckily there are lots of other options available nearby.

Nice independent pub with friendly staff and a good atmosphere. The pub offers good seating and was quite lively on a Sunday, which was a pleasant surprise given its location. Unfortunately, food is only available if booked in advance, which is a bit disappointing but understandable. They have a good session pale ale on tap along with a variety of standard lagers. The crisps were tasty too.

El sábado celebramos la recepción de la boda de mi hija en el Easton. En primer lugar tengo que dar un agradecimiento masivo a Chris el manager, y su fabuloso equipo de chicos (Jack eras una leyenda con el Prosecco). Los chicos que dirigen el bar, que eran simplemente fabuloso, y nuestros saludos al chef 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 La primera vez que conocí a Chris fue la semana pasada, y desde ese momento supe que todo iba a estar bien, bueno, rápidamente se convirtió en perfección desde el momento en que entré ese sábado por la tarde. Las mesas estaban impecablemente decoradas, todo lo que podías haber esperado y mucho más. El servicio de los chicos fue insuperable. Todos eran tan educados, amables, atentos y muy profesionales. Jack estaba de guardia en Prosecco, saludando a todos y cada uno cuando llegaron con un vaso de efervescencia. Que mantuvo continuamente recargado toda la noche. La comida y el buffet de la noche eran fabulosos. Chris estuvo en la pelota todo el día, nunca se detuvo. Desde abrir puertas, cuando la gente entraba o salía del pub, comprobando que todo el mundo se lo pasaba en grande, sabía los nombres de todos (La gente todavía pregunta cómo los recordó a todos) Incluso se paró con un toque de niñera en un momento dado. Luego permitió que una nieta muy fría se llevara su chaqueta a casa con ella (que obviamente devolvimos al día siguiente 🤣) Sinceramente, no puedo agradecerles lo suficiente a todos. Fue un final perfecto para un día perfecto. Tuve un montón de comentarios increíbles de los huéspedes, felicitando al equipo. Es el pub perfecto... .. si lo que buscas es, un lugar para celebrar una ocasión, que quieras compartir con familiares y amigos, que se sienta especial y entretenido, con todo el encanto rústico que ofrece el Easton, entonces deberías pasarte y tener una charla con Chris. Had lunch at this slightly hidden pub ( it's just off Amwell St). I used my City Stack discount - £10 off a minimum £20 order. I had a delicious pork rilette with warm sourdough, pickles and mustard. Delicious! Had a glass of house white, which was light and perfect for lunchtime. Large pub with outside seating. Tastefully decorated and lovely, attentive staff. Liked the additional touch of free sparkling or still water. Well worth hunting out.

I visited this pub as it was on the list of City Stack pubs( a really good deal, you buy the experience for £25 and visit 10 independent pubs, saving £10 each time as long as you order minimum value £20). The Easton is a bit hidden but quite near Amwell Street, Rosebery Avenue). Chris served me and was really friendly and welcoming and made me feel comfortable dining alone. Still and sparkling water is free, which is a lovely gesture. I had pork rillette with warm sourdough, pickles and mustard with a glass of house white. The food was tasty and well made and the wine was light and perfect for lunch. The pub has a large inside area plus lots of outside seating. Really worth checking out.

Quality boozer - little hidden gem in Clerkenwell. My new local! Chris and the staff down there are really friendly and it’s still got a London feel. The food is always really good - the best Sunday roast I’ve eaten out. Drinks selection is really good as well. Props to all involved!

This is a lovely gastropub. Very quiet given that it's hidden away in a residential street. The food was very well made and reasonably priced for the area. The staff was friendly and efficient.

This pub is really special. Chris the Manager really makes you feel at home and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. This is saying alot as busy London pubs can be impersonal. We really liked the outdoor seating and it is quiet being one block away from the action. And most importantly, the Sunday roast was absolutely splendid. The chef really knows what he is doing. We will go back any chance we get.

You want to come to the Easton! Splendid pub just three steps away from the overcrowded Exmouth market. Intimate, clean, tidy where service was outstanding, drinks were perfect, staff and management super friendly and flawless. Cherry on top of the cake the Fridays' local band with their marvellous "table" set up. They got us singing along from beginning to end. We just had the perfect night. Fridays and Saturdays the best time to go!

I went for a Sunday roast for my birthday with my family. we took the children and the dog too so had a group of 13. Probably one of the best roasts I've ever had and we were made feel so welcome, even the dog got some treats. Only problem was I didn't have room for desert, it was a huge dinner and far to nice to leave any. Next time I wont be so greedy. Absolutely lovely staff and I cant wait to have dinner there again.

One of the best roasts in London. The 'bits and bobs' as they call them really enhanced the roast offering. Some interesting and exciting options for vegetarians. An encouraging wine list and a strong selection of tap beers. Well worth a visit.

The Sunday roast here is amazing! Loads of options, massive portions and really delicious. They have a great selection of drinks too and even a bit of live music sometimes. Will definitely be a regular spot for us now.

The food was really good, I loved the meat (how it was cooked) and the vegetables. A bit simple (carrots and potatoes) but overall very well done. I recommend this place, and will probably come back.

I had such an amazing time at The Easton with my friend! Let me tell you, the food was absolutely incredible. I went for the burger, paired it with a refreshing Guinness, and oh my goodness, the Mac and cheese was out of this world! The staff there were so friendly and welcoming, it made the whole experience even better. I'm already planning my next visit for a delicious Sunday roast. Can't wait to go back!

A very hearty serving of beautifully tender, melt-in-the-mouth roast beef. Came served over a bed of cabbage and peas and drenched in a delicious flavoursome gravy. Accompanied by a bowl of crispy-on-the-outside yet-fluffy-in-the-middle roast potatoes and carrots AND a bowl of creamy cauliflower cheese. I washed it down with a gorgeous glass of Malbec. I' would have opted for the Guinness chocolate brownie pudding but I was stuffed!! Next time definitely.....

The place has an ok ambience and decent food. However service is exceptionally bad, the person that welcomes people in needs to go, she is really bad at her job.

The pub was quiet when we walked in. Awesome playlist as 'i don't like Mondays' played in the background. Friendly faces behind the bar, I was able to taste 7 different wines before I made my choice! FREE WINE TASTING on da house. We got the Roast, What a treat! No short cuts on this one! Carrots, potatoes, cabbage, gravy, cauliflower with cheese, Yorkshire pudding! And the MEAT!!! Loved every bite. Enjoyed the food very much. Will be back for more as I could not squeeze dessert.

Quaint little gastro pub just off the main road and near Exmouth Market. Amazing food dishes, and the roast on Sundays 🤤 defo worth a pop in...staff are a joy too!!

Went for a leaving do, not pre booked about 40 of us turned up and they coped brilliantly! We ordered food... which was excellent!! Never been before but will definitely go again! Brilliant!

Great food, happy we stumbled across this place and it's a handy escape from the hustle and bustle of Exmouth market if you're after good food in a relaxed atmosphere. Came back for a Sunday roast, which was one of the best pub roasts I've had in a while - so will be back.

Very disappointing: I had a dinner reservation for 8:30 on a Tuesday at this place(via open table). When I arrived, at 8:33 I was told that the kitchen is already closed. If you can reserve a table for dinner online the kitchen should be open! Nevertheless the guy behind the counter was very friendly and suggested another pub around the corner.

The pub has new owners! If you had been here before (when it was managed by Stonegate) then please make sure you come back and give it a try. It has been refurbished and it looks so cozy inside. They have a new menu and we tried a bit of everything, it's fresh delicious food. The pork belly was my favourite. It's a quiet pub, perfect to meet friends and have a chat. The staff is lovely and helpful. The beer selection is standard (Moretti, Madri, Neck Oil, etc). Cheapest bottle of Prosecco was £32. Pints at an average of +£6.2 - £6.6

Franchement cet établissement vaux le détour. Nous y avons manger 2 soirs pendant notre séjour à Londres. Tout était super bien cuisiné. Un vrai délice, la viande super fondante, le crumble délicieux et les personnel super sympa. Bonne continuation à eux.

An excellent pub! We had the Sunday lunch and it was superb! Very pleasant staff an absolute bonus. They were very accommodating about us bringing in my grandson in his pram! Would definitely recommend this place for food and drink!

I had the most remarkable burger here. An incredible composition of flavours. Each piece of the carefully constructed whole, playing its part. Excellent choice of meat, cooked to perfection, thick and juicy. Staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

We stumbled upon The Easton, an unexpected delight. A great steak and some of the best whitebait we had on the trip. Get in early for the Chateaubriand, it looked amazing.

Drink selection is good and there's food. The music gets pretty loud but there's no dancefloor, so I'm not sure what the angle is there. Edit: I've been back here since my original review that I posted a few years ago. The pub has been refitted and the noise is no longer an issue. I've actually suggested this place a few times to people.

Super cosy place with a lovely ambience – ideal for conversation with just the right amount of hubbub. Not at all a boisterous pub, but a warm, homely one, which is definitely my preference. All the staff are brilliant, but my friend and I had the pleasure of being attended to by Oliver and so an extra special shoutout must be given to him, who went above and beyond for us! :) We thoroughly enjoyed his friendly company – made us feel like regulars despite it being our first time. Eleven out of ten for service! For Oliver alone, I would return. Add in the tasty food and price? I'm definitely coming back!! :D Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who asks! Can't wait to try the Sunday Roast!

Fantastic pub with great food and super friendly staff who made us feel very welcome! They were accommodating to dietary requests from our group and we are grateful for that. Will visit again.

Really enjoyed stopping in here as I saw it had just (re?)opened a week before. Had a great dinner and drinks catch up with a friend. Not too busy (though it was the following Thursday, watch out! It's the new Friday I guess) and not massively overpriced, very tasty. Attentive staff, though would be great if they could cut back on the love/darling for half the clientele - I find this really off-putting, though your mileage may vary! It's a hard time to open a pub, so support your local establishment! It's cosy and central without being in a mega busy area, near exmouth Market, Farringdon and Kings Cross as you can see. Would stop in again for sure.

Amazing food, best roast dinner I think we have ever had. Great friendly service and best of all, dog friendly with a beef roast for dogs. They enjoyed every mouthful. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu 😋

Visited on Saturday night, and they rung the bell for last orders at 22:15, shutting the bar at 22:30. Bit disappointing for a pub in central London on the weekend. Chap behind the bar couldn't muster a smile, adding to the idea that they really just wanted to close up and go home.

Don't go in a Thursday evening if you don't want to run in to me Google has prompted me to update my review so here is my update. The pub is still there and still serves alcoholic beverages. Unfortunately I have moved up to Manchester due to crippling house prices in London so I'm not visiting every Thursday any more. However, I am quite sad they removed the benches outside and replaced them with chairs because it means everyone tends to stand and I'm lazy and don't like standing. Not worth subtracting a star though as I accept this is a Me Problem.
