The English Garden Restaurant in Camden

The waiters didn’t understand what we were saying. Brought out the wrong wine, saying they didn’t have any left so gave us only that option. Arrived at 1.30pm after calling ahead and were told we couldn’t order until 2pm until the chef arrived. Ordered soup of the day, told it was vegetable then they brought out the soup saying it was tomato and didn’t tell us before hand. The pasta had crunchy bits in it. The soup was watery and tasted horrible. The vinegar was given in a ramekin. They said they had no “green peas” for the fish and chips?? Repeatedly saw the chef run outside past the window with rubber gloves on. The dining room was lonely and the seats uncomfortable, as if they were going to break. The whole experience was really strange, the toilets are all the way down the stairs and the infrastructure obviously needs some repairs. The view is not pretty. The staff were unresponsive and couldn’t understand.

From the moment you walk in, stunning bar and decor, enhances what a special place you are in. We were unable to secure a reservation for a table but, we were happy to dine at the bar. The service was incredible. Our bartender was helpful in choosing the perfect scotch whiskey to create the perfect Old Fashioned. The menu offered many choices. The seabass were fabulous! Tasty, crunchy topping , totally unique. From start to finish, the meal, drinks, service, was impeccable. Be sure to book ahead before leaving home. The online booking is easy and the communication was speedy, especially when we had to make some changes to our reservation. The staff was very accommodating.

Ci siamo fermati io e la mia ragazza per un the caldo nel pomeriggio, e la cameriera è stata molto gentile e disponibile anche a darci informazioni.

Comida y servicio excepcional. Muy buen lugar, efectivamente, comida engañada precios razonables.

Literally just left this restaurant . Went in to have a drink first before asking for availability for a meal .. as there was a bar and bar stools .. we approached a young man and asked to sit at the bar ... we were informed by older gentleman to the boy that NO ... and directed us to the THE LOUD BAR NEXT DOOR ???? We are here on business and we’re told this was the place to eat as we are having a conference next year and wanted to invite our staff !!! We will NOT BE THIS ... furthermore we would Not !! Advise anybody to approach this place for a drink as they clearly think DO NOT THEY HAVE TO BE POLITE !! Really upset about this .. never had this happen to us EVER!!

We reserved a table for four on a Saturday night, thinking it may be risky not to. We were the only customers. The food on offer wasn't exceptional, but the prices weren't banal. Oh well, this is London...

Staff go out of their way to make you feel attended and cozy. Montague Street is always a pleasure, and this is a great place to stop.

Yemek için güzel bir yer, manzarası çok güzel, personel çok ilgili ve güleryüzlü ama fiyatları biraz pahalı. Fiyatları dışında keyifle zaman geçirilebilecek bir mekan.

Es justo para cortar el dia dentro del museo, para seguir con la visita después de comer o de tomar algo, la comida como toda la de Londres, medio pelo, pero es muy caro y la ubicación lo es todo.

Lindo y buen lugar para comer dentro del british museum. La comida no es muy buena (como creo que cualquiera de londres) pero si justo te hagarra hambre, puede ser una escapatoria para no perder tiempo

This a great place the views and it is so pleasant to eat the food is Excellent and the staff are helpfull we realy had a great time

En el último piso, sobre el gran atrio de Isabel II está el restaurant. Los horarios son tan malos como los de apertura del museo. La comida es cara pero no tanto como uno supone en un restaurante de museo. Nosotros solo nos sentamos a tomar un aperitivo y descansar un rato ya que se camina mucho y casi no hay donde sentarse. Si uno está en la calle no conviene entrar ya que ay infinidad de otros lugares más cómodos.

Pense num lugar tranquilo,chique, harmonioso, interessante e bacana! Achou! é o jardim inglês minha gente! Em todos os países da Europa esse restaurante sempre conta com excelentes atendimentos, cardápio sofisticado e elegância num só lugar!

Uma ótima opção da região com ótimo ambiente e comida muito boa. Funcionários atenciosos e competentes.

My wife, eleven year old son and I stopped in at the English Garden for a late supper and had one of our best meals during our recent London vacation. It was on the late side, so the restaurant was nearly empty, but the service was very attentive, and the setting very nice. The food was excellent and all of us were happy. There is a decent wine list with options in different price ranges.

Lovely atmosphere-great service: warm & friendly!! Will make food to your needs. Wait staff super friendly and funny! Typical English so you are having the total experience. Worth it!!!
