The English Indian in Lichfield

Wow, would recommend highly. We used The English Indian for our works Christmas party, 80 guests, and these guys were superb. The food was hot and delicious, the staff were knowledgeable and very friendly and they even cleared up after themselves. I have already booked them for our Summer event! Thank you.

I don't normally leave reviews but I feel I have to as the food was so amazing! Catered for 300 with a special Xmas menu and we've had fantastic feedback from the staff.

The English Indian street food van was at our workplace (NTG Ebrex) for our Christmas lunch. The "Go Large" mix of everything was first class. Would highly recommend.

We booked for a staff celebration for over 130 and our staff had fabulous food served by a great team. From the initial contact right through to the event, the staff were brilliant. Will definitely highly recommend The English Indian :-)

Went to the Lily Mae Foundation Charity White collar boxing event last night..9th November.... As I have Celiac I have to be very careful what I eat when going anywhere...so I tend to go without.... But not on that evening I didn't..😁 Just like to say what excellent food that came out of your mobile vehicle...and you made me and others so very happy 😊 Thankyou....

Fabulous evening at the English Indian again. Food was delicious as it always is, I decided to go for the fish and chips with curry sauce and peas 😋 but the chicken burger looked amazing too! Also treated ourselves to a brownie this time which was incredible! Lovely way to enjoy the start of the weekend ⭐️ we’ll be back!

Have just eaten at The English Indian Lichfield pop-up. We had the Fish and Chips with curry sauce and mushy peas, and as per usual, it was delicious! It was very busy, but worth the wait, imo. We have eaten their food on a number of occasions now, going back to the Lockdown pop- ups, and have never been disappointed. It is located next to the Trinity brewery tap, and you are welcome to bring drinks across, which is a nice bonus! Highly recommended 👍🏻

Incredible, delicious food as always! English Indian are my absolute favourites, always have been since Digbeth Dining Club! It’s so wonderful to enjoy incredible gluten free food, without worrying about my Coeliac disease. Thank you for making me feel “normal” xxx

The English Indian visited our dealership again, went down a treat last time so we had to get them in again, Fish and Chips went down a treat as did the Halloumi. We were organising a corporate event in Liverpool for 100 or so people and the English Indian were fantastic right the way through. They were incredibly accommodating in the booking process given we had to make several last minute changes, and then ultimately they served very high quality food on the day which went down really well. Both the booking staff and the servers on the day were very friendly too – I would really highly recommend using their services!

My wife and I hired The English Indian to cater our wedding in August 2024, and they were incredible from start to finish. Everyone we dealt with was not only helpful, friendly and professional, but also genuinely excited and passionate about making our wedding food as good as it could be. Not only that, but I’ve lost count of the number of our guests that have mentioned to us how good the food was. Everyone LOVED it. Everything was top top tier. Food, service, communication, value for money, amazing staff/owners. Plus, the van looks awesome! It’s a wedding feature in itself! Couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Recently attended my nieces wedding. Not only was the wedding great but the food supplied by these guys was simply amazing. Can't recommend them enough!! Food was so very tasty and hot. Oh and lastly ....I didn't like Chicolate Brownies ....until I tried theirs, fabulous 👌

I have had food from the English Indian several times now and it’s always absolutely delicious, fresh tasting food with great flavour. It’s also fantastic that everything is gluten free, a rare and exciting find for someone who can’t eat gluten!!

We were so impressed with The English Indian. They catered for our wedding last Wednesday and there was not a single person who had a bad word to say about the food. The service was amazing and even before the wedding, the communication with the team was made easy in preparation for our big day. Would highly recommend this company to anyone and will be sure to visit the many festivals they attend throughout this year and beyond! Cannot thank the team enough for providing such high quality food and service.

Honestly have been eating food from these guys for years! Never had anything bad to say - it's always so fresh and delicious, and I think it's excellent value for money. Everything is also gluten free (with zero compromise on texture or taste), which is a bonus for anyone with intolerances or ceoliac disease...you can eat absolutely everything off the menu, and I highly recommend that you do!

Recently, The English Indian food van visited our office and served 150 meals to our staff and it was an absolute delight! The food was delicious! The staff were very polite and accommodating, ensuring everyone was served promptly. The efficiency of service was brilliant considering the large volume of meals they had to prepare. Overall, It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend the English Indian food van for any event. We look forward to having them back for a 4th time!

The English Indian have come to our business park a few times and they are definitely an office favourite. Makes Thursday office lunches a lot more fun when they are around. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

We booked The English Indian for our wedding. We have been visiting them for food at their base in Lichfield and seeing them at food festivals for a couple of years. They are exceptionally well priced for a wedding booking. For the whole process the team were exceptionally helpful. Answering all of our questions and going out of their way to assist us. On the day the food was superb. All of our 152 guests were really pleased with the food, even the fussy guests who I thought would grumble. The food and preparation is really safe for those with allergies (one of the reasons we booked).

We hired The English Indian for our festival style, outdoor wedding. Samosa canapés got the post-ceremony celebrations up and running perfectly with incredible bite-size flavour (and dipping sauces!). The star of the show was of course their signature Fish (and/or halloumi), chips, mushy peas and curry sauce. Everyone at our wedding commented on how brilliant it was - perfectly seasoned British classics with a clever Indian twist. I was particularly impressed as I enjoyed the food even more than when I tried it at their base in Litchfield. Perhaps the most important aspect for me, on the day and during the build-up, was how well organised and friendly The English Indian team are. They helped us sort a generator issue just a few days before the wedding and they arrived promptly on the day with absolutely no fuss. Thank you so much!

A wonderful twist on English Fish and Chips. Incredibly delicious food and the staff were very helpful and friendly. All food is vegan and gluten free. We will definitely be ordering again 😀.

Amazing food, so glad I'd heard about this place and was able to try it. I had the Gluten Free chicken burger and you wouldn't have known it was GF! Really great food, I'll be keeping eyes peeled for when they are back open again. Definitely recommend.

Pakora fish was my favourite and is a must try! Thank you again the team at English Indian were very professional even with the rush of a head office campus employees hungry for lunch! Have been wanting to try for some time and have just had the fish and chip meal. We pre-ordered and the food was ready almost immediately and was still very warm by the time we got home (ten minutes). Now I hate gushing reviews that come across as patronising but…… this food is wonderful, the flavours are unique and the lime and coriander bring the meal to life. The fish is light and crispy, full of flavour and quite delicious. The chips are lovely and with the madras sauce are really good…….and the best thing of all is those mushy peas which are out of this world! I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the food and will definitely be bak soon.

My son and I went to the pop up restaurant in Eastcote. We pre-ordered and there was a 30min delay but the food was worth the wait! We shared the halloumi and cod combo. Full of flavour and spice. The peas and curry sauce were fabulous. I think you have to order a set menu, I would prefer individual items, my son isn’t a fan of curry sauce or peas and I’m not sure if you can opt out of these? Would be nice to have the choice not to have them, especially as they come in the box next to the chips. Will definitely come again. Delicious food and correct portion size.

Whilst the food we got was delicious, we were disappointed with the portion sizes. Was more comparable to a child's dinner and left us both needing more. Wife was also very unwell the following morning.

We had a takeaway last night and it was delicious. Really efficient and friendly service too. We will definitely return. Thank you :-)
