The Falcon in Cotswold

We are a group of 6 who meet for lunch monthly. We selected the Falcon inn for our special Christmas lunch after reading good reviews and we're delighted we did. From the first contact we felt welcome .. nothing was too much trouble.. we pre-booked our choices and were given a lovely window table with easy access for one lady in our party who uses a stroller. The food timing was just right after we had greeted each other and settled down to our choice of wines. We had a gluten free member of the group and she was given a separate plate of home made gluten free bread whilst we enjoyed the superb home made full gluten bread, We had selected a wide choice of main dishes as we had vegetarian and pescatarian guests as well as the Christmas turkey eaters. Al the food was served hot. together and with a generous serving. All selections receiving 5 star praise for the Chefs. The chosen desserts were equally great. The home made mince pies topped off a wonderful meal including GF mince pies of course Altogether a very pleasant end to an eventful year. We will return!!

Friendly service, the food is absolutely delicious and just being on the main road is hard not to find. It is cosy inside with a real fire, great for keeping warm in the winter.

Bingo….a real treat after a hectic morning Christmas shopping in Cirencester! Thoroughly recommended for really good food, well presented and perfectly cooked, we will definitely be back again very soon.

A party of 7 of us came here for dinner on a Friday night. Service as always was excellent. Food was good but the best we have ever had here. Most of the party had a variety of burgers which they enjoyed. My partner had a steak which a bit on the chewy side. I had the salmon and then the hake(which was actually stone bass) they were good but not stand out. Puddings were excellent as always.

Simply excellent dinner here. Food was outstanding and the service really good. I cannot recommend it too highly. There really is nothing more to say.

Three of us regularly meet for lunch in the Cotswolds. We try to choose venues with interesting menus and good reviews. The interior is not elaborate , but the meal we had here was outstanding in both the interesting range of the menu and the great skill of the chef. I have never tasted such perfectly cooked battered haddock - moist, high quality fish with a very thin crispy batter. The scallop and crispy bacon starter was also perfect. Our friend said the brisket was delicious. Pleasant and helpful staff and very reasonably priced wines.

This unassuming pub produces the most delicious meals. The lamb fell off the bone, everything was freshly made, you can see their clean and efficient kitchen.

We had lunch in The Falcon, the food was wonderful and service also first rate. It is a lovely old-fashioned pub, very friendly, clean, with pleasant and attentive staff. My only small gripe was the limited number of vegetarian items on the menu.
