Absolutely incredible service and food. We arrived around 6.30 pm on a Sunday. They were about to close but welcomed us in, and they couldn't haven't done enough for us! Firstly, they fed the dog with a big bowl of meat, which she loved, and our food was absolutely delicious. We felt so welcome here, and I can't wait to come back!

Sunday lunch was delicious and hot. Already recommended the farmers arms,to our friends as they love Turkish food, and we will also be coming back for another mixed grill,so yummy. Really worth a visit

Had heard good things about this place but not gotten around to going before - which I now hugely regret! However we happened to be in the area today for a walk on the beach so decided to call in. It was honestly amazing, one of the nicest meals I've had in ages. Everything tasted to fresh, authentic & flavoursome, plus it was beautifully presented with generous portions. The service was also extremely friendly. Added to that it's a really nice old fashioned little pub with pretty twinkly lights, a log burner, comfy seats, a beer garden & nice views to the outside. What more could you ask for? Can't wait to go back & will be bringing others to try it!

Food is amazing. The portion sizes are absolutely massive!! We’ve now been there two Sundays in a row were quite obsessed. My fave Is the veggie moussaka.

Brilliant birthday meal at the Farmers Arms today. Fantastic menu, especially for vegetarians like myself, great friendly service, and gorgeous food. Try pairing it with the Dead Man’s Dice Malbec. Superb.

Love this place and come often. I always get a selection of the cold and hot tapas (halloumi, dips, green salad) and a beer after a surf and its perfection. Amazing food, lovely staff!

We visited Mezze today for the first time and it did not disappoint! The staff were lovely and welcoming. The service and food were both excellent with lots of choice on the menu and options for children. Good size car park. We will definitely be returning soon!

What a real treat, and right on my doorstep, well a couple of miles away anyway. It's always been a lovely pub/restaurant, but has changed hands at least four times in the past 15 years. But, I feel this wonderful Turkish Mezze is here to stay. It's proving very popular and for good reason, the food is amazing. On arrival, we were met by a charming young Turkish girl/lady who showed us to our table. I'd never had Turkish food before, so it was all new to me. We decided to share the Grand Mezze which had pretty much everything to try! There's lots of individual dishes and sides to work through, all tasting amazing. Only once have I tried Calamari and it was rubbery and horrible, but I tried it here and wow, it was succulent and crispy. The table was a palette of colours and so many wonderful smells from the different dishes. I would allow a couple of hours and enjoy the whole experience. The maître d' who was standing in for the owner was a real character and very convivial and funny, and he made me my first Expresso-martini which I thoroughly recommend, if you've never had one! All the staff were so kind and helpful, and the chef was superb. All in all a lovely experience and a will definitely visit again. Just one recommendation, would be that there should just only be background traditional Turkish music, rather than a mix of current chart music and traditional Turkish music. This would enhance the atmosphere more so, and add to the overall excellent experience.

Nice friendly pub/restaurant in a sunny spot with a very large car park. Its unique feature is that it does Turkish food. As someone who eats a lot of Turkish food in Cardiff and numerous visits to Turkey, it needed to be a larger portion meal for the price of £19.50 for a mid afternoon meal. Especially as they did not serve free turkish bread with the food, which is a Turkish tradition. I had the chicken shish, which was nice and very presentable. I don't mean the chicken, which was a good portion, but the cheaper end, e.g, the rice and salad. The rice was nicely flavoured. The salad was presented well but overly dressed( a bit wet). The meat, when cut, was not marinated throughout, which adds the deeper flavour and taste you expect from Turkish food. I did request garlic and chilli sauces. Both I would say were not very strong, flavoured, and not homemade. Some will say I am being ridiculously fussy. As I say, it was all very nice but could have been so much more, and then it could have been somewhere you would definitely head to for Turkish food in a unique setting.

Absolutely class restaurant. Had Sunday dinner here today, and the Turkish food a while back. Both were delicious. The Sunday dinner was the best dinner I’ve had out anywhere. The Turkish mixed grill was delicious too. All the people I was with both times agreed. Very well kept cask ale (butty Bach) as well as a good selection of cask and keg beers/lagers too, The young ladies that served us did a fantastic job, and the Turkish man serving (I’m guessing the owner/manager) is an absolute gentleman. I hope this business does very well as they deserve it. We will certainly be back. Keep up the good work!

Called in for unplanned lunch and it was fantastic. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and a lovely change. The mixed grill for two was delicious, lamb shish,chicken shish and lamb ribs were so tender. We will definitely be back.

What a lovely restaurant, well worth a trip out. We visited on a rainy windy Sunday evening so not too busy, the service was great, very friendly and hospitable, we were really made to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, all tasted freshly cooked, delicious and authentic, we were a party of three who shared some starters plus three different main meals and we all enjoyed everything we tasted, the portion sizes were generous. I have the sea bass with rice and salad priced at a very reasonable £21, I liked that the salad was lovely with a tasty dressing and the little pot of sauce was excellent. We didn’t have deserts but all had lovely coffees (although we did see some being served and they looked yummy) all in all, very pleased. Definitely worth a trip and I really looking forward to going back.

A hidden gem where you can experience both English and Turkish cuisine in the most beautiful and delicious way! The food is incredibly tasty, and since the menu includes both English and Turkish dishes, there are plenty of options! The atmosphere is very cozy, just like a classic English pub. We were extremely satisfied!

Amazing food lovely staff will definitely return we had the hot amazing plater could of eaten that twice then I had the lamb with filo pastry it was absolutely amazing a 10 outa 10 from me my sister had the lamb and chicken the whole experience has made us wanting more ! Amazing Turkish and Greek food, lovingly cooked that's packed full of flavour. Outstanding customer service, a warm and friendly atmosphere that made you feel welcome like part of their family.

Well... It's taken a while for this lovely old venue to get the right people in with the right offering, and boy is it all right now! Absolutely brilliant! We thought we'd give Mezze a go for a family/birthday meal and what a great decision. Our host was very friendly, engaging, funny, helpful, and efficient... This is a man who clearly loves his work, enjoys his clientele, and wants them to enjoy themselves. The food is outstanding. I chose a BBQ dish - Chicken Shish - cooked over a completely natural barbecue (as opposed to a gas fired or electric grill). The taste was sublime. For my dessert, Baklava. Lush! Of our party of ten, not one had anything other than high praise for their food and service. What a lovely revival of this old pub that's been too long in the doldrums. Welcome Mezze! Parking is reasonably plentiful in the adjacent car park. Take care on exit as visibility to the right is limited; with the building being literally up to the roadside, those plonkers who insist upon exceeding the 20mph limit can arrive quite quickly out of nowhere. Edit: Many revisits later, I stand by my previous review. Absolutely lovely venue and people serving superb food 👌🏻

We were camping in Wales and lots of places saying no dogs inside but not this one! We had a fabulous meal, delicious food, kids portions were huge and our dog even had a bowl of water and dinner provided. 5*

Real find....good drinks and food from the grill was excellent.

Perfect beyond being perfect. The staff food and area what you would look for. The owner even went out of his way to offer sachets of dog food in separate bowls for anyone who had a dog outside. Now that's looking after your customers.

Fantastic Turkish restaurant / pub bar grill, the pub itself is lovely and clean good clean toilet facilities and outside parking and seating area. The inside decor is beautiful with light music to fill the air with atmosphere.. The staff are excellent very friendly and polite and courteous and good service. The food is delicious and a nice selection but only thing letting this place down and to which i've heared alot of others mention is that it's over priced, they are letting themselves down when this restaurant could be crowded with hungry tourists and locals. Even as you can see from menu photos, it costs £20 for just a chicken kebab, which was basically 4 square chunks of chicken a small bowl of rice and about tablespoon of salad. Think the pricing is way off and are letting themselves down by this Fact..!

Haven't been here since it was the farmers arms but heard so much about the food we decided to visit again and we were very pleased we did. Very friendly staff and great quality food too !

Food was tasty and well presented. Not cheap but reasonably priced. Hosts were very attentive, although we visited at a quiet time.

Really enjoyed my visit, the food was really tasty and perfectly seasoned. Staff were welcoming and loved the vibe, the background music was lovely too. I had a selection of starters, the greek salad was amazing, my favourite was the Turkish sausage and the bulgar wheat dish 👌

Visited last night (19th June) waited about 10 mins before someone appeared then waited another 10 mins for drink order to be taken some time later food order taken but still no drinks l had to remind the waiter we still had no drinks. We ordered a jug of water (3time) but it never did arrive. The restaurant was Not busy I think only 2 tables food was dull and bland service very poor meal over priced cost 170.00 for 4 covers. 5 drinks 4 starters 4main course 2 puddings.

Lovely atmosphere, staff and food. Visited Mezze on Wick Rd for a birthday dinner with my partner and it was a very pleasant experience. Greeted by Stuart who was very friendly and gave us a choice of indoor and outdoor seating, before pouring us drinks with glasses taken straight out of a fridge; a very welcome extra touch. We sat down and were given the menu, and Stuart took our order. Before not long out came our starters, beautifully prepared and gorgeous in flavour. Fresh flavours and clear passion in cooking. We had the Dolmades, Olives and Calamari which were all fantastically flavourful. Following this, our main arrived, cooked to perfection. The mix grill is a fantastic mix of meats. We also had the chance to speak to Eddie who was very friendly and passionate about the restaurant. I’m Persian myself and we had a great discussion about our cultures, and he really went out of his way to provide excellent service. Cheerful, receptive and friendly summarises the staff experience. Flavourful, fresh and delectable summarises the meal experience. Thank you Eddie and Stuart, I highly recommend Mezze at The Farmers Arms.

Definitely one of the cleanest pubs I’ve been to. We stumbled upon this little gem after trail walking. First time we tried a Turkish dish, iskander, we were blown away. This can be the best Turkish food we had around here. The taste is very authentic. Even the cold mezze dishes were amazing. We lived in Qatar and Turkey and we can tell you we were very happy and impressed how good the food tastes. We visited 3 times and had the same food experience and would definitely return when we crave Turkish food. Absolutely amazing.

The food was excellent, in fact, the best calamari I have ever had. The host was generous and friendly and even gave us a lift back to our accommodation when it turned out that our bus was cancelled.

We're not short of decent pub meals in the rural Vale of Glamorgan, indeed the Farmers Arms was always the eatery of choice for family occasions in the mid 90s. Now though it offers something a little different. As the name suggests, the Farmers is now an Turkish restaurant serving a good variety of authentic Turkish meals as well as a traditional roast dinner on Sundays. The Farmers is easy to find as it is situated on the main road through St Brides. It has a large onsite carpark and has a bus stop right outside for those who prefer to use public transport. A multitude of tasty sounding menu options meant that it was difficult to decide what to eat. When it came the food was beautifully presented and every bit as delicious as it looked. A shared starter platter and home made bread was devoured along with some excellent main courses and I couldn't leave withouy sampling the chocolate fudge cake. The place is great and I hope it does well because it's good to have a local restaurant offering something different. The food and service were both excellent, with both food and drink recommendations gratefully received.

Warm welcome and served amazing food.. Calamari cooked to perfection.. Also very generous portion of fresh grilled sea bass as main dish... would definitely visit again.

Loved the chicken shish kebab unfortunately my husband felt the lamb a bit tough but that was rectified with another plate of tender lamb by the chef. Very delicious in my opinion!

Visiting South Wales from the West Midlands where there is an abundance of turkish restaurants and takeaways, so very familiar with good Turkish food. For such a modest pub/restaurant Mezze does it extremely well! Staff are also very accommodating and friendly. Give this place a try you won’t be dissaponited. They’ll also feed your very hungry German Shepherd dogs. 🐕

We came to Wales for a short getaway. Glad we did, if only to find this restaurant. The food was so amazing that we booked two nights in a row. The staff are fun and professional, taking time to talk and make sure we were all having a great time. The atmosphere was thriving & full of fun.

1st time visiting MEZZE and was really impressed. Staff lovely, for a couple of them it was their first shift, and the food was outstanding. Good selection of largers, beers and wines as well. Will be returning soon!

We had the grand mezze a set 3 course meal consisting of Hot and cold mezze BBQ grill plater Homemade Baklava and ice cream It was delicious and we felt good value for money. The staff were very friendly we will definitely return 😊 It would be lovely to see Turkish lighting soft furnishing etc it still has the look and feel of a country pub.

Came here for dinner yesterday with my parents. Really friendly and welcoming service. Food was fantastic, really authentic Turkish food, felt like we were on holiday. All freshly made with care and attention and you could tell the amount of effort they put in. Good value for money. Decent portion sizes. Try the lamb shish kebab - it's amazing.

We've passed this place many times over there past few years but only discovered it is now a Turkish restaurant a few weeks ago. We booked a table and went there around 2.30pm. The service was great, friendly staff , a great menu with excellent choice. The food was amazing. The meat was juicy, tasty and accompanied with Bulgar wheat & rice and a salad, very filling and delicious. We were so stuffed we didn't make it as far as a dessert but they sound amazing. We thought it was so good that we've been back for a 2nd visit allready. Highly reccomend.

First time visiting and must 10/10 food, service was more then welcoming as soon as we walked thought the door. Firer was light and we was told to relax by the firer and even had a plate of chips with cheese Whitch was outstanding on the house 👍so 10 out of 10 for hospitality and food and service.

Food was excellent. My son said it was the best Calamari he's ever eaten! Everything was fresh and tasty. Good service. We would highly recommend.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem on my way to Cardiff Airport—a pub in Wales offering both Turkish and traditional pub food. The sign "mezze" caught my eye, prompting me to stop for lunch. The owner's kindness and friendliness, combined with the inviting atmosphere, made it a delightful surprise. I opted for the Adana kebab, accompanied by complimentary condiments that were absolutely delicious. Already anticipating my next visit!

The food was very good and at a reasonable price. The service was great. We had the waiter's undivided attention for 50% of the night. It was Wednesday, so we were one of only two covers that evening, so the atmosphere was what we made it. Would I go again?????... Yes, of course, it was a really nice evening out, and a welcomed change from Indian food.

Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, lovely open fire so this place smells very authentic as well as being toasty. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. I ordered a cold share platter which came with home made bread (warm) and the choice of dips which were amazing. I can't wait to return for a full meal.

My fiancé and I went to this restaurant for the first time back in October for our anniversary meal , we loved it so much we returned on the 9th of December with a party of 17 people for my fiancé 40th birthday celebration.. the service and food was absolutely amazing! ( same as the last time) The staff can’t do enough for you , happy to help and very polite and helpful. The kids meals are a really good size ! The adult meals we had absolutely amazing , fresh food and plenty of it ! Will definitely be back In February to celebrate my birthday! Would highly recommend this restaurant :) xx

Visited today for my father in law's birthday. 6 of us in total for a walk in meal and drinks. The pub has a lovely cosy country vibe and the Xmas tree set the scene lovely. The service from Eddie was brilliant and we were well looked after and he was such a nice man. The food was of a high standard and cooked perfect. I cannot recommend this place enough we will definitely be back and look forward to more lovely meals. Thanks for a lovely afternoon and see you again

We popped in for a birthday meal on Wednesday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Parsnip crisps appeared with our drinks before we ordered shish, moussakka and chicken casserole served with delicious bread - absolutely yummy! The service was exemplary and my youngest daughter loved her complimentary dessert (which I think was semifrado) with a birthday candle! Couldn't fault anything and would thoroughly recommend a visit. A big thank you Mezze Team! PS - Bella dog also loved it :)

Popped in at the tail end of a pub crawl around establishments under new ownership Sunday evening. That the kitchen was still open, and offering a Mediterranean menu, was a welcome change from Sunday roasts. We were made to feel welcome (despite the cavernous space) and sat in the slightly secluded portion upstairs by ourselves. The portions are large, the flavours absolutely on point, and the prices reasonable—plus the abundance of great warm bread and salads makes it all seem positively healthful. Our mains (lamb ribs, an Iskender plate with a heap of fabulous creamy yoghurt to offset the chunks of bread and the broken-up lamb kofte balls, the hot mezze platter, and a sarma beyti which came with the wrapped meat neatly sliced and prettily arranged) were sensational. The accompanying rice deserves special mention for being delicious. We hope this outfit thrives and we’ll be back for sure.

All I can say is this is by far the best restaurant I have ever been to, we went last night for our anniversary, and it was amazing. We have the Meze grand platter, 4 courses including desert, all i can say it was alot if food! And will definitely be back, staff amazing friendly better than Michelin star restaurants I have been to. Booked a table of 8 for my daughter's 25th birthday. Fantastic food, and so much of it. Wonderful atmosphere and staff were amazing, especially Deborah. Staff were so attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We all had a fantastic night. Definitely worth a visit.
