With the rest of the family away or out for the evening, I thought I'd treat myself to a rare takeway. Couldn't decide where to go, but as the Fat Buddha was nearby, i thought I'd pop in there. Decent looking menu, and I decided on the House Special Fried Rice - can't go wrong with that I thought. Shop was empty, but waited a reasonable time before getting my order. Got it home, warmed up my plate and opened the tub looking forward to it. Oh dear, disappointed to say the least- wet and soggy, bland and tasteless- £9.50 I will never see again. Will not be going back there if I can help it! Only positive, it was a good sized portion- otherwise it would have been a one star.

Fantastic choice of food both Fish & Chip and Chinese/Thai. Food excellent quality. Prompt, polite service throughout our sit in meal. The take away service was non stop from the counter but did not disturb us at all. Would highly recommend!

Walking past on a wet evening and noticed they had tables to sit in. Stretching it a bit to define this as a restaurant… more a takeaway with a few tables… but extensive menu, friendly service and reasonable prices. You get to eat your food off proper plates using proper cutlery and the opportunity to buy a soft drink or beer. I had a Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup followed by Special Curry and rice. All tasty, warm and decent portion size. All good, hot and tasty. Returned a couple days later for King Prawn, Ginger and Spring Onion with rice. Again, perfectly satisfactory. This ain’t Michelin Star cookery or environment… but if you’re looking for a reasonably-priced, unfussy meal that will set you up for the evening this could be the place

Long queues and lively passerbys awaiting takeaways. We were pleased with the wide range of traditional fish and chipper, chinese and thai fod. Basically ,you can mix and match and choose something to please everyone. Children wanted traditional fish and chips,we tried the special curry and prawn pad thai.

I have never put a review online in my whole life but I've actually went on and registered with TripAdvisor so I could tell everyone how awful this place is. I eat out a lot and order takeaways a lot because of the work I do and have to stay in hotels a lot and this is without a doubt the worst place I have tried in a long time. There is tables in the place but you can't actually eat at them coz the food is served like a takeaway. No plates or cutlery. It's a Chinese. You can't eat that with your hands!!!! Guy was just generally rude that served me. And the food was awful. Fried rice was so bland. The main was okay I suppose but no real flavour at all. I am being generous by saying it was just about edible. The chips are like chippy chips. Naw. Just naw. That's just wrong on all levels and does not go with Chinese food. They were also dry and tasteless. Ate about 3 of them then they went in the bin.

After a late arrival due to a long train delay this place was the only food option still open and it was at the corner of the street my Airbnb place was. The food was plentiful, tasty and hot. My sweet and sour dish was exactly what I expected. Seeing Simeon’s fish and chips though I wish I ordered that!

We returned here for a second time in the space of a few months, as it was very handy from our hotel. We decided to try something different this time round, portions sizes were very good, service was very quick even when it was extremely busy and it was very reasonably priced too. The food was nice but the chips had a slightly strange taste to them, maybe the oil used? We would return if we were in the area!

We were staying nearby and being a bit put off by high prices in many Inverness sit-down restaurants, I found the Fat Buddha. I was a bit sceptical at first as this restaurant doubles as a Chinese restaurant and a fish and chips place. The two don't really seem to go together. However on entering at about 6pm on a Saturday I noticed they are doing a good business in both fish and chips and Chinese food. I had to wait about 20 minutes for an order of fish and chips which we ate back in our room at the hotel. The price was a reasonable £7.50 for one portion, with enough chips for two. I agree with two previous reviewers. The batter was a nice light flaky texture, and they also do seem to put quite a bit of salt on it, although I found it not excessive. My wife who is from Sussex said it was one of the better fish and chips she's had, so that's certainly saying something. Btw. if you like curry sauce, they charge £2.80 for it here, which seems a bit excessive. (I'm used to it being more like £1 in east midlands.) Note that currently they are not doing seating in the restaurant. Not sure if this is coming back or not. We didnt try the Chinese food options - these were also in the range of about £7.30, If you're in the area and looking for fish and chips this is certainly a worthwhile option.

Popped in for fish and chips whilst staying at premier inn. A local told me it was good when I asked directions to a chip shop. They were not wrong! Freshly cooked fish in lovely light batter and tasty chips. Very nice lady serving too. I’d definitely come back if in area again.

We visited the chippy to get fish and chips. The shop was clean but had to wait for about 30 minutes to order and get the food for a takeaway. The fish and chips was absolutely freshly fried but with tonnes of salt every where on the chips and fish which was awful. I will never tell the lady to sprinkle salt on it as had no idea she will bathe my food in salt.

Don't normally leave reviews but felt the need to after this. Partner had a salt and chilli chicken (or planned to in our case) with fried rice, chips and curry sauce. He ended up with a plate of chips and curry sauce as the rest was awful. Chicken batter was like dough. Soft, soggy and undercooked. I also would have mistaken them for plain chicken balls as they had no taste whatsoever. As for the fried rice, it went straight in the bin. Rice shouldn't flop of the dish and stay in its shape. Looked more like porridge than rice! Was our first time trying Dennis' but unforeseen won't be returning customers.

This places 100% rehests frozen food. Twice cooked chicken ball from the day before 100% The food is gross and we'll over priced. I would not go to this place again, EVER! Worst Chinese food I've ever enten! DISGUSTING!
