Friendly place, proper relaxing pub! On my 1st visit, I felt like I'd always been there. Great food, great beer. Good 4 dietary issues

We’ve spent 2 nights here for a mid week break away from kids, work and general life stresses. The double room is quite basic but very clean and had all we needed - including a brilliant jet shower. The staff are friendly and helpful and we really did feel looked after. The food was amazing and a good choice. The landlady was very accommodating and really did treat us like guests. Thank you 5 Bells team! And Happy Birthday for Friday Mary xx

Gr8 food and grate value for money.

We have just stayed two days at this lovely traditional Inn in Eastry. Very comfortable and clean rooms, excellent food and host and staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Our stay at this pub was awesome. Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable and cozy accommodation and the food was very good. Mary, the landlady gave us a warm welcome. The only downside is the wi-fi ! In the 5 days of our stay, we could not connect to it. We'd definitely stay there again.

Only here for a meal. Best crispy battered fish 'n' chips I've had for a long time. Lovely cheerful, friendly barmaid.

Went for sunday roast dinner at 5 bells eastry today, was booked. The food was amazing and we all enjoyed the food, cooked perfectly, all hot and presented well, served with quality and staff were very polite and professional..reccomend to anyone who wants to stay or visit the area of eastry who is looking for the proper classic pub food and pub atmosphere. Only downside was the extremely slow service, we booked for 2pm, arrived at 2pm but took just over 1 hour before our food was ready to be served. This was indeed a very busy pub and I assume due to customer demands causing very slow service, still Highley recommended if you don't mind waiting when it's very busy.

We had a lovely breakfast in The five Bells pub it was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed a chat with Mary the landlady who was friendly and welcoming. We recommend this pub if you are ever visiting Eastry or sandwich area. Couldn’t fault it. Heidi and Jan

Food good value for money, prompt service..only downside parking!

We visited as was attending a wedding just down the road and we are so glad we decided to stay here. Staff were incredible and really friendly. Happy to help with anything and give recommendations for the local area. Nothing was too much and would happily go the extra mile. This included the bartenders, chefs, housekeeping and managers. Everyone was passionate about working there and you could tell they all love their jobs. Food was delicious as well and really good portion sizes for the price. Thankyou all so much!

Having moved near to Eastry it's now becoming our local. Staff are friendly and food spot on including the veggie/vegan options. They do lots of different events so well worth a visit. 😁😁

We live fairly close by, but had family visiting from Suffolk. None of us had been to the pub before. Although on this occasion my family were not staying at the pub. We did have a lovely family meal last night. The staff were fantastic So friendly and lovely with my 3 year old grandson. A really nice pub, with a great atmosphere. A hidden gem. We will definitely visit again

Amazing, this is the first pub I've been in ever that provides everything for feminine hygiene. Sanitary wear, hairspray, deodorant, lotion, etc, everything essential. Perfect Mary

It was a lovely time there with my clients Rose and David. Very kind people, caring. I had chocolate cheesecake with ice cream and it was delicious. Never had a fresh cheesecake like the one i had here before. Everyone loved the food. Would love to come back again whenever i’ll get the chance.

The room was inside a typical and ancient Pub. You can feel the atmosphere of the English tradition

We Had a lamb pie there today really nice ,with suet pastry cooked in a tray ,fresh veg not a little dish with a pastry lid plonked on top .Very friendly pub .Been a while since I’ve been there but certainly will again even if I have to have 0 alcohol beer.

A brilliant service food was amazing , cannot fault the staff especially Mary the owner very friendly and also Sarah Ellis was a fantastic waitress. Room was very adequate and very clean.

It was a lovely location, really nice spacious rooms and a big breakfast the morning after. The showers are jets and it was a pleasant surprise. Nothing was too much trouble and we were able to check in early. It was a pleasure to stay at The Five Bells and we would definitely come back again.

We ended up at The Five Bells by chance (with car trouble). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and we had a nice dinner and breakfast there.

Stayed here to attend a wedding, staff are absolutely lovely and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely breakfast and dining area. Twin room good size. Small shower would be the only issue.

Had use of the function room for our charity AGM. Clean, well presented and well laid out in this nice village but central location. Our meal was held afterwards and the food, service and staff were faultless. 10 out of 10. We will be back. Thank you!

Stopped in for lunch,very cosy country pub.Dogs enjoyed their treat and I enjoyed my food.Hospitible staff and good atmosphere...will be back to try the gutbuster

Visiting some friends and they took us to their local. Food was great, we also took part in the quiz, which was a fantastic laugh. If you are anywhere near this place, pop in for great service, friendly and chatty bar staff and just a wonderful local, proper English feeling pub.

Stayed here while I was doing a weekend Rural Course nearby. Excellent and friendly pub. Room was very comfortable and luckily very warm so I could dry out a host of wet clothes! The food is fairly standard pub grub but just what you need after a day getting soaked while working in woodland! Price surprisingly low for a Saturday night so brilliant VfM. Staff were lovely, couldn't be more helpful, made sure my bike was safely stowed for the night. Sandwiches made for me for the next day's work. Best of all, the pub had a lovely atmosphere, felt like the real heart of the village of Eastry. Thanks to one and all.

Really good old fashioned pub. Friendly hosts, good beer, good food, lovely atmosphere in low-beamed bars.

We parked nearby and received a warm welcome. The meal was superb and the service from Sam was friendly and faultless. It was also good value for money. We shall be back! Judds and Kinns

Excellent food, with good options for vegans and vegetarians as well as omnivores. Nothing is too much trouble. Always have guest ales on draft. And there is ALWAYS something going on!!

We were greeted and shown around by David. He was very helpful. We met another lovely lady whose name eludes me.. sorry.. really polite and helpful. Mary, the owner turned up and had a chat with us… really lovely lady. We felt very welcomed and the food was very comforting. Rooms were very clean and basic and we finished the next morning with an exceptional cooked breakfast. Thanks for a lovely stay.
