Absolutely fantastic pub. Stunning food. Great beers. The staff can't help enough. Well worth the money and visit.

Really surprised to see how busy the place was on a Wednesday morning in January. Service was excellent and food was fantastic.

Sunday lunch Very, busy so will need to book. Had a lovely Sunday lunch. 2 x chicken & 1 x pork. All nicely cooked, tasty & well presented. Ordered 2x sides, Red Leicester mash & Broccoli & cauliflower cheese which were lovely. Staff although run off their feet were friendly & attentive. Will definitely be going back again.

Still a fab place, visited Friday 10th and the guy that look like the GM was all over it and really friendly

Thank you for making my dad’s 80th birthday so special. We used the private dining area and the whole experience couldn’t have been more perfect. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals, the service was impeccable and we all loved the beautiful room. An extra special thank you to the staff who made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.

I like this place , I eat couple of time here and the food was very nice and tasty 😋 it's near us ,so easy to come ,enough spaces in car park .

Lovely atmosphere with great food and service.

The Forge has been my local for around 15 years and in the past few years the food has improved massively! This has become my go to place for a meal out. Great work guys

Great good and service highly recommend

High end! The atmosphere is just so lovely and warming to be in. The staff are so lovely and very on hand. They always checking in and get you anything you need. For a “pub” this is definitely high end and bit more posh. For 4 people with multiple drinks and dessert was only £112. The only thing is the menu is very limited and the vegetation options or even chicken options are limited. I ended up only getting a few sides to eat.

The last Saturday (21/12/2024 before Christmas and one last chance to see Santa so great idea to do breakfast with Santa, Great service from start to finish, the kids pancakes…. The kids loved them!!! The kids loved the interaction with Santa and it was the first time my youngest has actually spoke to Santa and had a conversation!!! The food was great!!!! The Eggs Benedict was perfect with plenty of sauce just how I like it!!! Great family relaxed feel!!! We enjoyed our “breakfast with Santa” keep up the good work!!!

We were looking for a venue for a family meet up - with three branches of the family travelling from the North ,South and East. The Forge was a perfect location for us - just a mile ot two from the MI. We were a party of 9 and were able to use the private dining room - which was lovely as we were able to hear each other . The room has windows through to the restaurant so we didn’t feel cut off. We had the Christmas menu and everyone enjoyed the food - no complaints. We found the staff very cheerful and helpful and managed that wonderful balance of being very attentive but not intrusive. As we were using the private dining room I had to book by phone and pay a deposit . This was done through Emily who was very helpful and responded swiftly to emails. Altogether a very successful experience enjoyed by all . I’m pretty sure we will be back.

Lovely place, staff are lovely, good food

Another visit today 6 adults 2 children and Junior and Amelia have made our experience magical! Food was delicious and service was the most friendly Amelia was fantastic! Despite being full and busy we were kept very well very looked after drinks were flowing Christmas celebrations began early!

Lovely food the very best, nice polite waiteress,and the gentleman who came to the table, very focus on makeing sure your meal is being enjoyed, i went for a birthday meal recently love the place, merry xmas to all the staff,and warm regards will vist again soon.

What a lovely little pub restaurant, a lovely interior, warm and friendly staff, who can't help you enough. The food was really nice and the portions were really good. Set in a lovely village. I highly recommend it. It's definitely worth a visit.

Our party of eleven enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner at The Forge last evening- The food and service was excellent and have no hesitation in leaving a Five star review. Look forward to revisiting again very soon.

Visited Friday evening, 15th Nov. Decided to try the chicken shawarma from the weekend specials menu. Compliments to the chef, it was amazing. We were extremely well looked after by our host, Josie, nothing was too much trouble for her. Thankyou Steve and Michelle.

We had a great eat family catch up at the Forge Glenfield, with exceptional service from Lily who looked after us all evening.

Another great restaurant in the area. We booked for an evening meal everyone said they liked their food, but these are my thoughts. In some photos it looks like a lovely pub in a village. In reality it is a lovely pub in what remains of a village that is now part of greater Leicester. The last 200 yards to the Forge is a nice walk, within the grounds it is good setting. Once inside all the staff were fantastic. Our main server was Emilia, nice, efficient and clearly well trained in her job. The layout is super, our table was clean and in a great spot. Looking around they have laid it out well on different levels so you get privacy and atmosphere. The entire place was very clean. I liked the menu but have a look for yourself, the food was spot on. Try the garlic and two cheddars bread, not a boring starter, I could have eaten it all night. The grilled chicken breast burger with kimchi and the lamb was excellent. Prices are OK, again look for yourself. The beer was good although I only tried three of them. We will be going back.

Excelente almuerzo con buen servicio. Tuve una enorme patata al horno con frío y aguacate, que estaba delicioso. Mi marido tenía un pan caliente de jamón y queso, lleno de jamón y queso derretido. Está cerca de la M 1 , tan conveniente como una parada en un largo viaje. Sin duda recomendable!

One vegan option, barely any vegetarian options, bit disappointing.

A great steak that hit the spot.

Had the mixed grill @£25.50 food was nice and hot, but the gammon was really salty, as were the chips. My kids had fish and chips, no complaints, their. My wife had the curry that was delicious. Took over an hour for food to arrive but we was a big party and the place was busy, staff really friendly, would visit again

The staff are really good at their jobs. It can get very busy in there but you never have to wait too long to be served. It's a bit pricey but the food and drink is always very good. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I could recommend a trip here to any hungry/ thirsty visitor .

The Cajan Chicken is a must! My go to every time! tried other dishes too though and they are all good but this is by far my favorite!

Todo el personal era muy amable e interactuó con buen humor y comprensión con nuestro grupo familiar. The food was nice, but I'm not sure it was worth the price. The car park was very busy and people parked where there wasn't spaces making it very tight. The staff were nice though.

Lovely evening meal, it's popular and you can see why with the good menu and food, the service was great and so a good selection of beers

A super cosy village pub with a rustic country theme set in the older part of the village. Plenty of areas to eat with a small function room seating upto 14 with a board room type table and a two course menu. An area at the end of the pub can be hired for private functions with more informal seating and nestled behind a large fireplace so relatively secluded. There is an outside seating area. This includes a pizza oven area. The food is delicious and well presented. Posh Hot chocs are to die for! Very large carpark overlooking an old overgrown cricket pitch with wildflowers in it at certain times. Staff are friendly and helpful. Booking a table is strongly advised due to its popularity.

A great big thank you to the Forge Inn, Thank you for accommodating my family last evening so we could celebrate my birthday , I would highly recommend this restaurant for the Glunton Free choices that are available on there excellent menu , my Chicken Paster dish was excellent , The management and all members of staff are very smart and pleasant and nothing is to much trouble for them , Weather it food or a drink and chat with friend you will be in a lovely safe Atmosphere , Highly Recommended,

Perfect food, comfortable place

Had a wonderful day today at the Forge. Food was delicious, as ever. Staff were very responsive and attentive, even sang happy birthday when they brought the cake out. Everyone enjoyed. What a beautiful restaurant! We have been served by Lily who went above and beyond and had a smile on her face the whole time. We had a wonderful meal in the private dining area for my nans 80th birthday. Fantastic meal, would certainly come again

Booked our family of 12 in private dining room for our mums 80th birthday, staff couldn’t have been more helpful, both food and service was great, couldn’t fault anything, thank you for making her evening perfect.

I wasn't impressed with the meal I had it was my mums birthday and was ruined as the jacket potato was hard to eat and wasn't appetising too much rocket salad I was ma's that had to pay for one meal off £11 by right shouldn't of had to pay only the drinks it is disgusting I will never come back again and thanks to forge inn my mums meal was ruined the only people I would recommend is the waitresses as the were very nice but the food Is crap

Family birthday lunch - party of 10. Lovely atmosphere & food choices were great. Large portions for the price. We brought a birthday cake with us (prearranged on the phone with no problem). Despite the fact the pub was very busy on a Monday lunchtime, we weren't rushed at all. Staff were professional & courteous at all times. Highly recommended.👌

I was aghast to see how little I got on my plate a small bunch chips 2 slices tomato and 1 mushroom and a small tough rump steak last year food was far superior to what we all got sorry to write this but prices don’t match what you get

We had a fabulous visit here a few months ago (left glowing 5 star review) so good that we decided to revisit for special occasion even though it's 60 miles from home. One Front Of House member was lovely, Bella, I think and I'd like to thank her for her pleasant and friendly service. The second member of staff was totally unengaged and quite abrupt, really changed the atmosphere of the experience. (Blonde French plait). This was a shame and nothing like the enthusiasm and passion that we'd experienced on our previous visit. Food was lovely, though there was a minor issue which was dealt with almost adequately, but I was surprised it wasn't handled in a way to ensure a better customer experience. A shame.

Fabulous last minute decision by us! What a find! We were greeted by every member of staff that we saw - it was a lovely welcome . The decor is so smart, the staff are all tidy and properly dressed and service was fab ( thank you Amelia!) . Food was great - wide range of options. Virtually no children or youngsters so the restaurant had a very sophisticated feel. We really enjoyed and will be back !

It was ok. Disappointed that the steak salad had no dressing and the mixed grill had cold mushrooms and grilled tomatoes on, but besides that it was ok.

We were given a generous voucher to use at The Forge so we pushed the host out with a Ribeye steak and mixed grill. The plates were hot. The food was hot. Excellent table service. It was a busy Friday but every thing was spit on. I can’t have dairy products and I asked them to cook it without butter which they did.

My wife and I go to The Forge Inn quite often, and we decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We ordered a selection of sharing plates, and everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. The portion sizes are generous and they use quality ingredients. The waiting staff, including those behind the bar, were brilliant as always. We were mainly looked after by Claire, and it was so nice to be recognised and to have a chat while we picked drinks from the wine menu. The Forge always feels like a nice place to come back to, with a warm welcome. Everyone was so lovely, and I'm especially impressed because it was boiling hot and super busy. I don't think I'd have kept my cool rushing around like they did! We got our drinks and food quickly, empty plates etc were whipped away and everyone always served with a smile. Mad respect, you're all awesome. Thank you for another lovely dining experience!

Excellent service and great food

Been here a few times so pretty much know what to expect. Our table wasn't ready at our allocated time due to the previous party overrunning there 2hr slot. It wasn't a major problem and I get sometimes the staff struggle to hoof people out. We lived with that but then to put a bit more salt in the wound the service was slower than we've come to expect. There was 14 in our party so I'm trying to be reasonable in my assessment all things considered. Would I go back yes of course its still a good meal. We spent £425 so at the end it might have been nice if the manager who was very accommodating in his efforts to apologise for the delayed start might have just come up at the end and acknowledge the situation and thanked us for our understanding. It's the little things as they say.

Another superb Sunday lunch at the ever popular Forge. Junior was very accommodating for sorting out our party including mobility needs. The team give you a lovely warm welcome and we were served by Lily who was attentive and friendly. The food is delicious with filling portions. We tweaked a couple of orders due to preferences and these were done with no hassle. Top tip - book early for larger parties as this is a popular place!

I would like to say a special Thank you to a member of staff Kirsten who was our waitress last night. I’m a regular at the forge with my friends & family. However last night was my son’s 12 birthday and due to his ADHD & Autism he struggles in social situations. A member of your staff Kirsten was fantastic and ensured his birthday burger came out exactly how he wanted it. Nothing was too much trouble. She laughed & joked with us and made our evening so enjoyable. Kirsten ensured everything was ok with our order and the my son was having a great birthday. He can’t wait to come back again! She really is a credit to your team. Thank you so much.

Busy, bustling pub / restaurant with a wonderful range of ales and a great menu. Staff were very attentive and helpful as we arrived early for our table. However, we purchased drinks, took them to the outside seating area and when our table was ready a staff member came to find us an escorted us to the table

Fantastic Sunday lunch with very friendly and super staff .

The service is consistently good and this Sunday lunch time no different. A few minor blips but forgivable considering how busy the staff were. A couple of our group have a need for gluten free and this was catered for. Food was very good with decent portion size.

I went here for my daughters wedding meal,it was a very nice meal,I've had one of the best steaks That I can remember, the whole table complimented the food ,desert,& the service thank you to all the staff for making our day extra special.

I don’t usually leave reviews but my experience here was amazing. Service when trying to book a table as I was travelling from London to meet my son whose studying in Leicester - very helpful trying to accommodate my time. The starters were amazing and the best roast I’ve had in a long time. Atmosphere lovely. Definitely visiting again .

Had a wake for my Grandad there. It's a lovely place. Really clean, decorated nice. They did chips with the buffet which was nice.
