A really nice and fun boozer. Has the vibe of a place that would get really silly late at night. Loved the pic of Charlie day behind the bar 🤣 will be back. No food but you can order in if you want.

Yeah - like this place. Hidden away a little bit, I reckon, but a good pub with a lovely person behind the jump, and nice places to sit at inside. And Neck Oil. Good stuff.

Such a great atmosphere and happy efficient staff. We were there last Saturday afternoon and the guy playing the music was incredible. He said he was going to be there again in 3 Thursdays time so we will definitely be back.

No food available just drinks. Had a Guiness and a cider. Cider was very fresh from the tap.

A pub we've visited many times over our years coming to Brighton. A proper back street boozer with great staff - a really chilled place to while away and hour or two. Had great DJs on over pride weekend for the last two years.

Lovely Guinness, nice chairs, quite street. Bish bash bosh, not sure if the pub sells Nosh.

I love this pub, all the staff are kind and lovely to all customers. They have a wonderful sense of humour and creativity. Caela always makes everyone feel incredibly wanted and welcome and also Bloopy is a delightful mascot for an already charming venue.

I went here with a group of friends to have a change of scenery from our usual pubs. I really enjoyed having a few drinks here it was a good atmosphere, there was a dj playing a decent mix of classic tunes, however my friends prefer somewhere a little quieter so we did move on after a couple of drinks

I feel like this place is a bit of a hidden gem. Perfect cosy vibes, there’s always very relaxed atmosphere easy going and welcoming. It’s a great spot for a pint and a catch-up after work.

The Foundry is one of Brighton's backstreet gems offering a relaxed vibe and cheerful service. Given how many pubs have been re-furbed out-of recognition in Brighton in the past 10 years, The Foundry Brighton has done very well to hold onto some of it’s dark and dingy comfort while offering punters a more contemporary offering. Every time I’ve visited recently, usually mid-afternoon, the playlist has been leaking out a fantastic selection of blues, rock and americana spanning the 60s to 80s. BBB recommend!

Nice little pub we pass on our way home from town. Always a friendly service with a smile. Very traditional inside with lots of seating.

Great little spot, anytime I have been there has been plenty of space, the music is great and the staff are fun and friendly. Recommend this place for a drink with friends, plenty of board games too :)

It's been many a year since this place saw a lick of paint or new furnishings and it's all the better for it. In the North Laine but seemingly undiscovered by tourists I love popping in here for a couple of drinks at different times of the day. Friendly staff and a good selection of drinks served up with great music playing away in the background.Have never eaten her but the Sunday roasts look amazing

the roasts were totally vegan, there were four options and all of them were delicious - beer flavoured mustard was a bit weird and it was a little cold in the pub, but apart from that a great experience

Popped in for drinks and lunch great staff and ambience. I ordered a small plate and possibly best halloumi I have had in my life with honey sauce!

Great little Pub. The hosts were super friendly when we barged in with a group of 16 for a little break during an event.

Great pub with lovely staff and toads!!! However we found the house music on a Friday at 8pm to be very jarring - it didn’t fit the vibe and would be better placed at an illegal forest rave at 2am

This pub is off the beaten track and an absolute haven if you are looking to enjoy some good ale and hearty food. The staff are incredibly conscientious of their customers, my friend and I were well taken care of by the bar staff, cooks and chef who made us two casual pub goers feel like very comfortable and welcome guests. I cannot recommend The Foundry enough. As a well travelled pub goer, it takes the trophy as my personal favourite pub in Brighton by a long shot.

We went for a family Sunday dinner for a special birthday, the building is lovely. It's a like a classic pub on the ground floor, a high-end restaurant upstairs and there is also a lovely roof terrace (not a balcony but the ceiling is open so it feels like an open-air space) with lots of plants and relaxed tables and benches. The food was really good - most of our party got the roasts, which were big portions and came with great roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. I got a veggie meal, which was a smaller portion than I was expecting (was supposed to come with puffed lentils, which I thought would be a big portion of the plate but there was only a handful of lentils scattered about) but luckily not everyone could eat their potatoes so I had a couple of those too. Food was very slow to arrive, we didn't mind at all as were in no rush but this might annoy some people! We all wandered off to different sections and some of us sat drinking upstairs while we waited.

We had a couple drinks in the very lovey pub. It is the kind of place that we love. Full of character and history. The bar staff were very friendly. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the beach and a couple minutes from the Lanes. We'll definitely return.

Cost but still energetic vibe on a Saturday evening, friendly staff, dj played good tunes that were not intrusive so could still chat with pal. Beer selection pretty poor. Nice lighting.

Came to dine here today, friendly staff, short wait for food and caters for allergy requirements. Food was mediocre but very one dish fits all, even to the point that every dish comes covered in gravy rather then a separate gravy boat as a one wood expect. Not enough root vegetables and cabbage that had been spirallised and not very hearty. Salt and pepper were pre ground and cake in a standard shaker rather then a grinder which was disappointing. Venue was clean and presentable but not much character. It was an ok meal, nothing more nothing less. I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return as no attention to fine details. What annoyed me from the word go, they didn’t accept American Express.

Popped in last night for some food and drink as their food is good ..... If they are serving it ! I was first to arrive as I was meeting a mate there at 8pm. However, arrived at 7.55pm to find the kitchen had just closed as "it's quiet tonight". The lady behind the counter was apologetic and offered a refund on my drink I just bought. My only advice is check if food will be on offer when you plan to go. Disappointed, we moved on elsewhere ..... Leaving the pub even quieter !

Friendly staff and a good selection of beers and whiskey, atmosphere was spoiled by a tiny dog crapping in the middle of the bar.

Popped in from the cold as my regular was packed. Pleasantly busy with mix of ages, mainly VERY friendly visitors. Lovely bar snack and Mexican menu. Better beer options would be appreciated.

La última vez que estuve aquí fue cuando trabajaba en la sala de clasificación de la oficina de correos de al lado cuando estaba en la escuela: como todos habíamos estado juntos en la escuela, esta fue una historia similar para varios de los viejos muchachos. Éramos casi los únicos clientes a media tarde, entre semana. El chico del bar estuvo atrapado en la bomba de Harvey por un tiempo ya que el rango de opciones había sido ignorado y la mayoría ya estaba tomando Harvey. La cerveza fue probablemente la mejor, la tarde se guardó y se pasó otra media hora más o menos probándola. Luego, en la búsqueda de alimentos que estuvieran bien para todos, y las instalaciones fueran lo suficientemente grandes

los asados eran totalmente veganos, había cuatro opciones y todos deliciosos: la cerveza con sabor a mostaza era un poco rara y hacía un poco de frío en el pub, pero aparte de eso, fue una gran experiencia

Fantástica comida de domingo - genial haber encontrado este lugar ya que el estanque está ahora cerrado. Buena cerveza y comida y buen ambiente local.

This is one of my watering holes in the North Laine - a lovely, quirky pub in the North Laine. Decent pint of Harveys and a wonderful eclectic set of customers - if you like people watching you will love it here.

A year since I visited this little gem and the food and service was once again PERFECT! Central and right by Brighton Staunton. And despite being busy we were welcomed in, served very quickly and received our orders in under 45 mins. Plus we all received GENEROUS portions and all the food was presented well and tasted great! Service is just how it should be in a traditional style pub like this, very friendly and helpful but not too pushy and keen! I had the vegan option, a roasted red pepper roast, my partner had beef, my friend had chicken (a WHOLE chicken) and my dad had lamb! All our food looked and tasted delicious. ALL FOR £8.95 too which in Brighton is unheard of!!!! Thanks again! Liz

I don't often get to Brighton....but every time I do I want to bring this pub home to be my local! Unfussy, simple, great beer, good bar staff......the first time I went there it was really quiet and on the sound stystem was playing a compilation with very rare tracks from from Bowie and Dylan,

Only a short stroll away from the bustle of North Laines is this great wee pub that dors a great selection of food at affordable prices, Many choices of Veggie Burgers and meat options and good pints at good prices. The pub has a gritty old feel about it that it feels it has earnt with some good old tunes that take me back in the back ground. Good service from the eclectic staff, I willl return with guests The Foundry will definitely be revisited and reccomend if you are looking at something a bit different.
