Had Sunday roast here today. The order was taken then we had to wait over 30 minutes for it to arrive. The roast beef and yorkshire pudding were nice but didn't appreciate being served what was clearly frozen veg and frozen roast potatoes! The cauliflower cheese was tasteless and there was hardly any gravy. At almost 20 quid per person. This was a rip off!

We had a small but very adequate room. Clean and bright. Low water pressure, but very usable. The young lady that checked us in was delightful as a host and our waitress. She was also very accommodating about bringing us another bed cover and portable heater very quickly (the boiler wasn't working properly). We'd stay here again.

It was okay for what I needed. A room, a bed and a shower for two nights. A pity they don’t include breakfast and the building does need some refurbishment but I believe this has been mooted already having seen their website / other reviews Well situated within the town for other bars / restaurants. Comfy beds. Good value for money if it’s necessity over luxury you are after

Rooms clean but out dated. Breakfast was over cooked and dry, however for the location the price was reasonable

Stayed overnight on a cycle tour, friendly welcome during busy period as the England match was on! Rooms were fine, a bit tired though. Trains were loud in our room going past! Had a decent pub meal and a real ale. Restaurant wasn't opened in the morning so had breakfast at a really nice local cafe. Overall a handy stopover but the place is a wee bit tired looking.

A great located small hotel, restaurant and pub in the centre of Pangbourne. Rooms clean, however a little old in style and decor. Food is nice quality.

Dissapointing & expensive. The room was OK, although couldn't stand in the shower due to very low ceiling. It is near a railway which others have noted but it has probably been so for 100+ years! Food was expensive for what it was, food wasn't bad but just very expensive. The staff all seemed unhappy. Won't be returning.

Stayed here last night. The beds were comfortable, and the facilities reasonable. The room recently refurbished and very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff,  great pub for food. I highly recommend this hotel, I'll stay again

This is one of the worst hotels I've stayed at. The pictures on the website are *very* selective, so don't use them as a guide. To begin with, we turned up at 2pm to check in (as per the website) and the staff member tried to charge us £15 for early check-in, saying that check-in wasn't until 3pm. The room was incredibly shabby and quite dusty, and looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 80s. The carpet and the curtains were relatively new, but the furniture and decoration needed updating. The management has been replying to reviews for a couple of years saying that they are renovating, but they clearly haven't reached room 12. The bed sagged in the middle, there was an electrical wire hanging down behind the radiator, a hole in some kind of electrical socket by the bed, the bathroom radiator was stuck on max (we eventually managed to adjust it on the second night, but it was difficult), the shower didn't work properly, we could hear every footstep from the room above and an ongoing whirring/industrial noise from outside that the windows aren't good enough to block, and the tiny TV was in a place that was almost impossible to see from the bed. When we went to check out, reception was in darkness and no-one replied to the bell. This had clearly happened to others because a couple of keys had been left on the desk. Interestingly, they had been left with a note listing some complaints similar to mine, so we did the same. I'm really disappointed and annoyed by the whole thing, and I don't think that it was anywhere near worth the £100 per night that we paid.

We stopped here for 'quick' coffee, what a joke! I waited at the deserted food counter, along with another couple who were ahead of me, for about five minutes while the person who was presumably supposed to be taking orders faffed about in the Kitchen. We three were the only customers at the counter. When she did finally appear she was unable to deal with the other couples order without help for some else who she dutifully went off to find. She eventually reappeared with another member of staff in tow and they both huddled round the till trying to figure out the problem. When it was resolved the original server continued with the rest of the couples order while the other staff member looked straight through me and disappeared back into the Kitchen. As it was now getting on for ten minutes of waiting like a Lemon I decided to give up and go elsewhere. If this is an example of how they treat their customers I am not surprised the place was virtually empty at Lunchtime. So if you want my advice it would be go somewhere else!!

This Chinese was once great but of now terrible! Started with spare ribs which were really good. The main was sweat and sour which tasted like vinegar, battered prawns which tasted like banana oddly (guess it’s the batter). And egg fried rice which was almost glow in the dark orange in colour. Also the man at the reception is very grumpy ! ☺️ Sorry but I won’t go back now.

My aunt's and cousin arrived to surprise my mum just before her 80th birthday. Had a lovely meal. Staff were excellent. Food was spot on.
