The Good Coffee Cartel in Islington

Marido y yo nos mudamos a la zona recientemente y queríamos amar este lugar tanto, porque está muy cerca de nuestro piso. Nos encanta el café, y compramos algunos granos para usar en nuestra máquina de café expreso en casa. Fue tan agrio. Intentamos cambiar la molienda, para obtener una extracción más lenta, pero aún así agria. No podíamos beberlo. El marido se llevó los frijoles de vuelta esperando que fuera sólo un mal lote o tal vez podría probar un asado diferente, pero el propietario (? ) era tan defensivo y grosero mi marido acaba de pedir un reembolso. El propietario entonces lo reprendió por no pedir un reembolso lo suficientemente amablemente antes de finalmente entregar las £ 8. No volveremos nunca, lo que es una pena, ya que teníamos una buena cosa de pastelería de arce de ellos, pero no compensa el horrible café agrio y el terrible servicio al cliente.

The coffee is now very bitter. It used to be a favourite cafe, but the coffee changed at some point last year, and now is horrible. Nice pastries.

Excellent coffe with a delicious cinnamon doughnut 🍩, the best I ever had. Highly recommended for a cosy breakfast!

Heading to the subway with a kebab and decided to have a seat on the bench outside. Felt a wee bit guilty and decided to go in for a coffee to cover my back. I have no great expertise in coffee whatsoever using mostly the big chains finding them too bitter at times. Elected to have a single shot latte. Would have had one of the delicious looking cakes or tray bakes but due to recent dentistry work decided that would not have been a great idea at that time. The best Latte I have had ever. Will definitely go back if only to use the nice bench outside. A very formal and relaxed atmosphere.

Tasty coffee and snacks, good pointers for some take home whole bean. Kid and dog friendly, and a very relaxed atmosphere. In short, a hidden gem.

Quite bitter coffee, very uncomfortable setting arrangements, dogs sniffing about everywhere, and a c-u-next-tuesday ish clientele. Won't be back

An authentic gem of a place that gets and roasts (on site) small batches of beans from world class coffee producing locations across the globe. If you have even a small interest in coffee pay them a visit.

Staying in the area we were looking for good coffee from a local coffee roaster. We found this place by searching on Google, and chose it because it seemed to fit the bill and was easy to get to being outside of the town center. It was easy to park nearby, the Jack Russell that wandered out from behind the counter was adorable, and I love the coffee tins. We picked up a 1kg tin of the Ethiopian, ground for an aero press. Brewed it up back at our rental cottage and it was perfect. Thank you.

I've been a few times now to this coffee place and it's recently had some changes inside. I don't actually drink coffee but they do a tasty vegan hot chocolate and also, at weekends only I think, a vegan donut that was delicious! There is a step-free toilet inside and seating indoors and outdoors. Attentive and friendly service. It doesn't have a lot of space for sitting inside. The new seats aren't the most comfortable- and it was a bit cold. I understand why as they don't need people not buying to hang about taking up space, but I hope in the future they might be able to accommodate a sofa or two! I also love that they are dog friendly and dogs are welcome inside. If you love your coffee this is definitely somewhere to visit, they definitely seem quite expert with it!

Can’t fault the coffee however customer service absolutely shocking. The man serving really needs to work on his manners especially when working as the front face of a coffee shop. We asked a simple question about types of milk for him to snigger, use hand gestures and give an answer full of attitude. I was so shocked that once we sat down I digested it and decided to leave. Asked if our coffees could be transferred to takeaway cups to be handed them to do it myself. Won’t be back but in the mean time staff could definitely work on their manners!

The best thing about our visit to Glasgow was visiting this absolute diamond cafe. I drove 15 minutes each way for this coffee every day of our stay and bought a giant tin of coffee beans which are roasted in-house each week. If you live coffee and are visiting Glasgow, this is a must to try.

Coffee was great as usual- however barista working was dis interested, rather rude and had an attitude. Not ideal when we traveled 20 minutes to come here specifically.. great coffee means very little when baristas are too cool for school.

Mate wanted to buy a couple of their coffees. Stopped on for a coffee and cake , just had a flat white and the peanut cake. Lovely flavoured coffee andvthe nicest cake ive tasted in a long time. Never even knew this place existed, will be back. If you love your coffee , get in and buy some.

Best coffee in Glasgow. Aimed at coffee fanatics but great for anyone who enjoys a strong tasty coffee. Remember bring your own cup.

Great coffee roasted on the premises also serves smoothest coffees and selection of fresh baked cakes. Coffee is roasted for wholesale but also carefully selected and sold for retail and free water dispenser this is a haven to relax and lie back.
