I'm really not one for leaving bad reviews but this is needed! Ordered two burgers, one medium and one well done. They both turned up burnt! Not to mention cold and tastless and same with mac and cheese. Oh and the chips were cold to. Got refunded but not the point, shouldn't be serving food that only a stray dog would eat!

I had lunch here today in a group of 7. The service was speedy and seating was seamless. I ordered using my phone and paid with apple pay and my food arrived really quickly after! Not only is the service amazing, my Californian burger was delicious! I strongly recommend this place for a nice lunch.

We came and half the menu was sold out, it took 10 minutes to get service and after we did we stayed for an hour and still didn’t get served.Utterly appalling.

What has happened to GBK? I went to GBK with found memories of the restaurant from 10+ years ago. It was not the same place. Little to no atmosphere and no table service. I'm happy to download the app and order but the restaurant it once was is clearly was is dead. The constant stream of take away drivers dominate to the point our 'fast food' is a 40 minutes wait. Clear preference to take away over people dining in. The staff are clearly aware of this as they apologies over and over again and offer us a number of free drinks to say sorry. When the food arrives the burger is poor. The sides are the best thing about the meal, special mention to the coleslaw. The burger seems wet and is hard to eat. The help of a knife is needed to cut it up into eatable chunks and is not how a burger should have to be eaten. Disappointing from a place I once remember having the solid go to burger amongst other burger restaurants. I appreciate times change and one can harker back to the 'good times of old' but I can not accept that a burger this mediocre can hide being the name that was once recognised as a decent burger. Poor (accept the staff who can not be blamed) and not worth the high street place it occupies .

Dulwich branch: Sad to hear that GBK no longer sell the Sweet Potato fries and unfortunately I found my burger patty to be tasteless. However my little one, enjoyed the kids meal and the vanilla milkshake was very nice. Brandon was our server and he was great. Very communicative and attentive to all in the restaurant, last night.

Completely Unhappy with My Order Horrible experience. The quality at this place has declined dramatically. I ordered a burger with an extra patty a few minutes ago, and the entire process was a disaster. It took ages to arrive as two out of three delivery drivers canceled. When the order finally arrived, it became clear why: Both patties were rock hard, stone cold, and burnt to a crisp. The burger was completely inedible and ended up in the bin. Fortunately, I received a full refund through the app I ordered from, but that doesn’t excuse the poor quality. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a negative experience at this location. GBK should seriously consider auditing their staff and addressing these ongoing issues.

I came here this past Sunday for lunch for a catch up with a friend. It was unusually busy for a Sunday, plus wheb we went up to the counter to order we saw that there was only 1 chef in the kitchen so we were happy expecting a bit of a wait for our food the milkshakes did help with the wait. When the food did come the burgers were cooked beautifully and the wings were so cripsy and juicy. Would 100% recommend & we will be back (So a little confused with a few other reviews) Only negative point was seeing one of the members of staff (im guessing) walking around in a puffer jacket, little bit unprofessional (in my eyes)

If I could, I wouldn't give it a single star. The worst experience I've ever had as a customer. I really don't recommend this place. I visited this place on 10/11/24 around 8:00 pm, I went to counter to be served and found 3 members of the staff talking and laughing as if they were in their living room. One of them was eating chips and they ignored the fact that I was there to be served. As a customer, I deserve good service, and that's the least I would expect when I go to buy from them. At the end, I decided to leave the place because I couldn't handle all this. Terrible staff and lack of professionalism.

This is a disrespect to the drive-thru, having to wait for an order for 25 minutes and having to cancel the order. When we get to the customer, he still comes to complain about the delay, even though the restaurant itself and this delay allow the order to accumulate and then make it to take a while to put meat on the bread.

Nice quick service, and staff are diligent in dealing with allergies.

Just had the medium rare double cheese burger, it was quite frankly the worst burger I have ever eaten. It was cold, badly cooked and tasteless. I’ve had double cheese burgers from McDonald’s that were much better and a fraction of the price. Given all of the other bad reviews with similar comments I’m not sure why this GBK branch is still in operation. I will not return to GBK again.

Ordered a burger meal with onion ring as an extra ( 1.75 ) and milk shakes.The onion ring was missing and the milk shakes were in smaller containers than usual but charged the same price.

This is the second time in the last year I’ve ordered from GBK East Dulwich and they’ve missed something out of the order (I only order from them once a month or so). The extras in my burger weren’t added. They only give refunds or credit if you go to their branch in person, and as a disabled customer I find this difficult. They seem to count on the fact that most people won’t bother to go to that much trouble, and so they get away with poor service. Sorry I gave them a second chance.

They do take aways only so don’t bother turning up if you expect to be seated

Honest Burger is my go to burger chain, but remembered Gourmet Burger Kitchen as being on a par so stopped off for a refueling stop before heading to the cinema. If Gourmet Burger Kitchen ever was on a par with Honest Burger, for sure isn't now, despite there only being three tables occupied food took over half an hour to arrive, yet my smash burger and the sub-McDonalds fries were both cold, my mother's cheeseburger was better, but hardly gourmet, her Strawberry Elderflower Presse was distinctly artificial tasting and over sweet. Will be avoiding Gourmet Burger Kitchen in future, recommend others do the same.

Ordered via Uber Eats - 1 out of 2 items was missing although delivery bag was sealed. Called the restaurant, they passed the buck of responsibility to UE - result spent £16 for 1/2 a meal... NOT IMPRESSED!

We came by here earlier today and was unsure as what to eat, the chef was in a fridge out the front and was very helpful with walking us through the menu and explaining different burgers and sides. (I think he was the head chef) We opted for 1 Taxi driver (medium cook) and 1 grilled K-Town and they were cooked beautifully with a side of truffle mac and cheese and a portion of chunky fries. We also got an oreo and a salted caramel milkshakes which were beautiful! Really couldnt recommend enough! Cant thank the chef enough and will 100% be returning! I will be coming to try that blue cheese smash!

Absolutely nothing gourmet about this. Polling service, nobody in the restaurant, cold food and then when I suggested to send it back, this was ignored. Very poor and I would completely avoid if I were you!

Located in the East Dulwich, South East London. This restaurant offers a great selection of burgers and other food like fried chicken strips and so on. We ordered a couple of burgers, mine was Koren BBQ Burger and my friend's was a Blue Cheese sauce Burger. My friend ordered his medium well done. They were served exactly as we had ordered. The taste was great, the chips that we ordered on the side were great and the Vanilla Milkshake was not one of those watery ones but a thick shake made with lots of ice cream and was perfect. The service was good and the staff friendly too . We did not have to wait long for the food to arrive. The cost was higher than we would normally pay but we enjoyed the food thoroughly and it was in such a great location. Happy to eat here again next visit in London.

Our chips weren't cooked enough. The burgers were very small and the burger underwhelming for £13 which didn't include a side. The burger had a lettuce that was folded up and slice of tomato.The lady served us seemed like she didn't want to be there, fair enough, but that's why refused to pay a tip. She said she would come back with sauces but never did.

Had to wait ages for food and drink. Table service was non existent. We basically did the work for them. Had to chase everything and then wait the table for them. Prioritising Uber eats drivers over diners.

45 mins to get the food because they had a huge queue of online order. They should stop atleast online order when they reach capacity. I see the Uber drivers waiting longer. Shame GBK used to be my go to, but alas no more

Decent restaurant to go to, minus all the negative reviews. Been here a couple of times and the customer service has been better than some other places. Burgers are great and so are the truffle cheese fries and honey butter chicken wings.

Will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Waiting 1hr20mins and food came cold, the fries were stone cold and burger nit worth it at all. Not value for money. One positive is the courier apologised.

My food arrive ice cold and it's not even winter, I call to speak to the restaurant to express that my food arrive freezing cold. I was told the food was hot when it leave the restaurant if I want a refund I must go to the justeat website to get the telephone number. I ask to speak to a manager to be told I am speaking the manager to my surprize. I ask for his name he started shouted I had to remove my phone from ear. I asked why he is shouting that I could hear him without my phone being o speaker with phone away from my ear .He said he doesn't have to give me his name there was never any apologies at anytime.

Don't bother going here - they are more interested in serving the continuous stream of takeout delivery men than the customers in the restaurant. It took ages for drinks then food to arrive, sides arriving well after the burgers. All burger buns were charred black but we were too hungry to complain and had already heard the manager swearing at staff so really just wanted to leave.

Went on a Saturday night to actually eat in the restaurant. Our first impressions was just seeing nobody eating in the restaurant and endless number of people in motorbike helmets queuing presumably delivering food to all those lazy people who won’t attend in person. All other restaurants we walked past on the way were full. We thought it might take a while to receive our food. However, the service was actually quite quick and we enjoyed our food. Really good place to go if haven’t booked anywhere and want peace and quiet, always going to be space.

Worst experience ever! Terrible service and the staff applies a policy that they cannot serve over 6 people without booking! What? Yep! We walked in and because we were 7 they told us they couldn’t serve us. They insulted us, the restaurant was empty and when my friend said: “at the end you are loosing because it could have been 7 meals and a good tip”, one girl said “I don’t mind, I seriously don’t mind”. I don’t know who creates this kind of policy and which restaurant let their customers go like that. At the we had a great meal somewhere else, the other restaurant had a booking at 8 pm for the big table we used, despite of that they served us and were so kind and welcoming. I don’t recommend it at all. I checked their website and I cannot read that policy anywhere.

A complete waste of money, their portion sizes for fries or sweet potatoes fries are criminal, it truly is evil what they do here. £4.50 for 13 chips your better off going to your local chip shop, to get bigger portions or make it yourself. Don’t be fooled, they truly don’t care about their customers only making cash, this is a low quality restaurant, only use it if you’ve got cash to throw away like water and your desperate otherwise go to local chip shop in Dulwich it’s way better.

Really poor experience this time. Waitresses grumpy, they don’t smile! They didn’t seem to care that our meal came out wrong! And not all at the same time. I had to keep going up to the counter to complain, take things back etc which ruined our meal, made it stressful, not enjoyable! There was no apology, no offer of refund/part refund, no attempt to try to make up for such poor meal quality and service! And they weren’t even busy! Which isn’t surprising! Not a cheap place to eat either, service better in McDonalds.

I ordered a burger on Deliveroo from this restaurant. It gave me food poisoning and I was very sick. I complained through Deliveroo but the restaurant has not contacted me. Very worrying for their food standards that they have not investigated at all. Definitely won't be going here again!

Rubbish. Pretty tasteless all round. Three seconds longer in the fryer and the onion rings would be fit for the ashtray. The 'medium' burger was more rare than a five-leaved clover. 50% discount and I feel cheated. Delivery guy was nice.

The manager didn’t apply the offer of “2 pounds kids menu with full paying adult menu” discount to my bill. I saw the receipt and complained to him but he said he couldn’t refund me the extra. He said I can come back to use it next time. Won’t come back. Very disappointed.

Great experience. I had a movie night last week, so I telephoned for my food to be preordered. My food came out almost immediately once I arrived. Hot, fresh and tasted great, all in all a fabulous experience. Very poor customer service. We ordered GBK burgers and fries through Just Eat and half the items were missing. On Just Eat we could only request a refund - we could not request the missing items to be delivered. So we phoned the restaurant and they were really unhelpful. The restaurant admitted it had messed up the order but rather than trying to put things right, they said we needed to contact Just Eat. But Just Eat had no mechanism for requesting missing items. The restaurant could have easily sent the missing items to us in a taxi or via another Just Eat driver. Instead they said we had to contact Just Eat. GBK East Dulwich has no idea about customer service. We will not order from the company again.

Half the order was missing. And On the JustEat app there’s no way of requesting missing items - you can only request a refund. So We phoned the restaurant to see what they could do. And they couldn’t do anything as it’s 2 separate companies - Just Eat and Gourmet Burger Kitchen. With missing items The process is convoluted: GBK has to phone JustEat to request a new driver… and that process failed so… anyway… we have requested a refund and lewon’t order again on a busy rainy big sporting night!

They never have Korean chicken and onion rings, the service is terrible
