I ordered a roast dinner for delivery and I wasn’t disappointed. The just eat app was easy to use but my score goes out to The Grange itself. Roast Beef dinner was fantastic. Lean tender slices of beef along with all the veg and potatoes. Delivery was fast and the food was presented well and still on hot. Well done.

Liver and onions just like homemade, as was the Scouse , really friendly service.Will be going again when we visit our friends again.

Very disappointing meal on 15th December. Ten of us went. We waited at least 45 mins to order our meal. Some of us had the roast dinner. The veg was soggy and the roast potatoes we couldn't cut through the skins were that hard. One of our party had the burger. It was hard and dry no lettuce tomato or onion with it. The bun also was hard and dry. She couldn't eat it or the chips The whole meal was awful. We told the waitress when she took the plates away. She just said ahhhh. No apology or deduction on bill. We were disgusted

Went with my family. Had three courses. Meal hot and delicious. Service excellent. Went last year and had such good food decided to go this year again. They are so efficient

Tried the Tapas Menu £6 each or 3 for £15 shared with the husband. It was so tasty 🤤 We shared Veg Spring rolls, Creamy Mushrooms and Three little pigs. Will definitely be ordering these again.

What a great friendly experience- I bought my elderly nan in a wheelchair with my son who has allergies … we were shown to a table that was easily accessible for the wheelchair and made to feel extremely welcome. We were then handed menus that clearly state vegan and my son was able to easily chose a meal and a dessert … we all ordered from a range of menus and this was not a issue for the staff when ordering… light bites, lunch offer and pub classics - it’s refreshing to have a restaurant that realizes all appetites aren’t the same. I let the staff be aware of the allergies and they double checked with chef Sharon who came out to reassure us as always that they were allergy aware … this is a huge reason why we continue to return to the grange for food although I do not usually manage to get my Nan out as she struggles to leave the house and feels restricted as to where she can go but she was so happy to be made to feel so welcome by all staff she can’t wait to come back next week. All 3 of us enjoyed our lunch and even went on to have a dessert. Thank you to all the staff and the chef for always going above and beyond with customer service. Nan said “what lovely girls they have working and as for the food it was wonderfully hot and very tasty, I’ll be full all day now, when can we come back?” You’ve made my nans experience of the grange a positive one and as she hasn’t been outside for months, this was a special occasion. Now she’s planning her next outing to the grange thank you for being so accommodating with wheelchair and allergies.

Ordered a hot chocolate only to find out there was none left, ordered 3 jacket potato’s and then half an hour later we were told there were only 2 potato’s so had to order something else. Waited an hour for food and they brought the wrong jacket potato out.

Check your bill. Good at overcharging. Aggressive staff if challenged over bill.

Quiet when we went lunchtime. Good food, lovely staff. Recommend

Sunday roast dinner was lovely, plenty on the plate. Nice atmosphere and plenty of space. It's dog friendly so that's good.

Great place to visit and eat staff are cheerful quick add helpful, there is a variety of meals at a great price all very tasty, where's the evenings

Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Staff 10/10 Chef 11/10 One of the best Sunday lunches I have ever had. Everything perfectly cooked full of flavour. The 3 meats we had in our platter were cooked better than some high end restaurants I have dined in. Full compliments to the chef. The service was outstanding all arrive within 5 minutes of ordering. Outstanding.

We called in on the off chance of getting a Sunday roast after a long walk, and we’re accommodated straight away.We were a party of 5 including 2 neurodivergent children so meals out can be tricky!I must highly recommend this pub for the roast! It was absolutely spot on! Everything tasted fresh and home cooked and the service was excellent too! The wine was a decent merlot and went down very well ! We’ve decided we will make it a regular outing as we all went home with full tummies and a smile on our faces. Don’t go further afield if the Grange is local to you, I don’t think it can be beaten.

Had a lovely breakfast atmosphere was good nice and clean

Place had been made over but the staff were scruffy and the communication skills of someone on death row. The meals were average and reasonably priced.

Had a Sunday lunch wasn't the best one I've had there. The roast potatoes were over cooked and then some looked anaemic. The pigs in blankets were over cooked their was four of us and we was disappointed

Had salt and pepper chicken was top class definitely be back

I have never been to the grange but we stopped for lunch which was absolutely gorgeous. My daughter and I had fish and chunky chips with mushy peas. The fish was really thick with lovely tasty fish and a perfect crispy coating of batter. Her partner had home made stew full of barley with chunky bread. Ideal for a cold day. The assistant manager was friendly polite and helpful and the decor was so nice my daughter was too busy admiring the furniture and contrasting colours to get ideas. I would definitely re visit.

Lovely pub with friendly staff, quick service and a good menu. There is plenty of room and bright inside with a pool table at one end and screens for sports events. Food wise, everyone was pleased with their meals, I had a beef salad with blue cheese and a sundae. They do various events and offers including a Tuesday fish chips and peas with a pint (choice of other drinks) for £12.50 so good value. Definitely worth a visit.

Best braised steak and mash around - very resonable prices. 100% top nosh

Had to give 5 stars value for money. Rost dinner share platter for 2 was amazing nice cuts of meat veg was delicious. Definitely coming back next Sunday.

A neat pub with a wide choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The beer garden at the front is great when the sun is shining!

Absolutely spotless pub! It looks so clean! We came for Sunday lunch late on, it wasn’t the best but maybe next time we will come earlier when it’s all fresh! Toilets you could eat in they are spotless couldn’t believe it! Bonus for the cleaners!

Haven't been for a few years, was impressed with how rhe place has been transformed. The food was excellent, sinday dinner sharing platter is highly recommended, excellent value. Really well organised and staff are extremely pleasant and helpful, looking forward to going back.

Been there a few times over the last few weeks and can highly recommend. Staff are lovely and welcoming and the food is really nice. I had salt and pepper chicken chunks in chilli sauce with rice and my husband had 10oz rump. Both delicious

I was only there early in day ... I have heard good reports about pub over the last few months though and I live in Scotland

staff are lovely friendly and attentative, beer was nice, and decor clean and modern, but the food was unfortunatly very bland, had the saturday burger with fries that were limp and undercooked, the bun was probably the cheapest excuse for a bap,not toasted and the burger was tasteless no seasoning to it & greasy and no garnish and tasteless

Awful pub Staff are extremely rude, long blonde haired woman in her 30s in particular. We arrived here on Sunday at 6:45 and was told food was still on and we had until 7pm to order. After having a quick look at the menu we went over to the bar at 6:50, nobody come to us until 6:55. We were placing our order with a polite young lad who told us it was ok to order still and we also apologised for it being last minute. Then the snotty girl who walked out the kitchen seen us stood ordering with a menu in our hands and said “kitchen is closed now” we explained to her we’d been told it was ok to order still and it wasn’t 7pm yet to which she ignored. Told the lad off who served us and cowardly got him to tell us that we were unable to eat. My friend is 6 months pregnant and we were getting together for a celebration with a group of people but had been stuck in traffic travelling. We were the only ones unable to eat and we then cancelled ordering a whole round of drinks due to this awful lady’s attitude and decided to not buy anything at all whilst we were there. We sat with our friends for an hour and watched people bring food out for a good half hour afterwards! Definitely won’t be returning here and neither will many of our family and friends due to one staff member

lovely pub called in yesterday for food and was made up with the outcome. Charlotte served us and recommended the katsu curry which was amazing. we will be returning. thanks again

Not a pub any more but an eating place. Not somewhere you'd want to spend time in, not a good atmosphere or place where you can relax.

Food is exceptional and moderately priced. The bar area caters for darts and pool and hosts teams. There are well pkaced tv screens for watching football The braised steak is second to nonel

Sunday Lunch at the grange, wow enough to feed the 5000 there was 4 of us. Mandy front of house very organised and welcoming. Servers were all on hand and efficient. Food was plenty full, piping hot and such a variety of veg, which went down well with us.... Ask for Sharon's mushy peas... Amazing peeps keep it up, it's a long way to come from Newcastle but defo worth it 👌

We Come here with the people we support. We play pool and have a drink. Staff are always friendly, we've also eaten here, and the food is gorgeous, not like pub grub at all. The steak pie in my fav

Nipped in for a Saturday lunch with family. Staff were happy and friendly. Food was excellent - tasty with good portion sizes. I had the “small appetite” ham, egg, and chips and it was a generous size! Will definitely return!

Went in last Saturday, 16 of us. Food almost served to all at same time. Went again last night. 10 people. Again food fantastic and served all together. Staff fantastic as well.

Absolutely fantastic experience, treated with such kindness when arranging my Dad's wake. On the day, excellent service, buffet exceeded expectations, both hot and cold and could not have asked for more. If you are thinking of arranging a private function definitely recommended.

I bought my son in for lunch - it’s extremely difficult to find somewhere that fully caters for his allergies - however chef Sharon knows his dietary restrictions and is always willing to go that extra step to ensure he has a delicious meal experience- he loves to eat at the grange as knows he’s well looked after and catered for with yummy safe food and plenty of options that aren’t basic like many other establishments- keep up the great work chef shaz… your inclusive menu means my boy never misses out

Absolutely fantastic pub but the food is what makes it fantastic. Had a family of 16 in for meals and all food was served quickly and absolutely delicious. You can tell all things are home cooked. We all left compliments to the head chef who did an amazing job of getting all of the meals out together. Previously had a Sunday lunch here too and that was just as good. We will definitely visit again in the future. The staff make you feel very welcome and the bar and restaurant areas look great.

Don’t normally write reviews but feel this place deserves all the credit it can get! The staff were so accommodating to our last minute table for 15! The food was outstanding with a personal visit from the chef herself (Sharon) to check all our food was ok. Staff were so friendly and service was spot on. Will definitely be back.

I cannot recommend The Grange highly enough. My friend and I decided to lift our Monday mood by having our evening meal here and her assistance dog accompanied us. Malcolm welcomed us and showed us to our table. Unlike some other establishments, their statement that it is 'dog friendly' was accurate: a doggy refreshment station with clean water bowls, jugs of fresh water, jars of treats and even pet blankets! The food choice was excellent and the service first class, better than at some other more expensive restaurants. Malcolm was attentive and gave us time between courses. The food was very good and excellent value for money. We look forward to more meals here.

Went here today for lunch. The food was fantastic and our server Ian couldn’t have done more for us. He was so friendly (and very handsome too😝). Thank you Ian for a wonderful day….will definitely be coming back!

Foods shocking will never return

Nicely refurbished pub. We went around lunchtime today everything was dry (beef burger, chili chicken and braised beef) and over cooked. Skin on fries were nice. Very disappointed won't be going back. First time we had been in ages 😩

Service excellent food excellent what more can I say. Inexpensive great value for money. My favourite place to eat at the moment. Staff are lovely. I can't say enough good things about it. It's nothing like old Grange. New owners have done an excellentjobxx

I had heard good things about this pub, it had been done out, new staff and great food so I thought I'd give it a try. Well, the good things seem to have been false reports as the food was dreadful, and the service wasn't much better. Will not be going there again. 👎👎👎

Just home from a night here. We had the Christmas menu. £18.95 for 3 courses. It was the best value for money and delicious aswell. The service was fab and there was a duo singing. There wasn't one thing to complain about. Highly recommended. Merry Christmas to all the staff and a huge " Thank You" x

Went with 4 family members for belated 74th birthday meal , had salmon fillet with risotto , £12.95 I must say not nice at all risotto tasted as though it had been warmed up ,salmon the same . Son had fish and chips, underneath of fish had really soggy batter , Would not eat there again

Lovely layout after refurb! One of best roast dinners out in a long time. We had the sharing platter which was so fresh, tasty and super quick to us considering how busy it was. Can’t recommend that enough, great value for money. The staff were very welcoming and friendly too.

Just eaten here. I had a fabulous Scouse just like my Mum used to make. Wife had the home made Ribs which she also loved. We also the had the biscoff pud and the salted caramel pudding which were also fab. All very reasonably priced. Deffo coming back as its it's been refurbished and not like the Old Grange which was a dump.

Called into the pub yesterday for a few drinks with my family can't believe how lovely the pub is now its been refurbished. Would like to mention the bar maid Charlotte she was really kind and helped me over to my table with my drinks...
