Authentic northern Indian and English food

We ordered the chicken lollipops for starters which were amazing ! The mains were keema masala and Maharaja chicken curry with some chill and garlic naan which was also amazing! Would 100% recommend and come again.

On 21st December we had a family party. Food, service, and atmosphere exceeded our expectations. Menu provided an excellent choice for us which included Sri Lankan & English guests found the choice of dishes more than ample. The waiters are most attentive and speed of service was outstanding. The open plan style with views of the surrounding park was most relaxing. Definitely will go again.

Food was great and the customer service was even better. Kapil made the night especially better. Start from entry to end we have been taken care by Mr Kapil very welll . Would love to visit again …

Held a surprise party here, and it was the perfect place to do it; excellent staff, delicious food, and the venue was even better than I had imagined. Will definitely come here again!

Great gastro-pub style Indian food. Judging by service/food to price, I’d very much recommend, especially for a big group gathering of friends or family. Controversially, I’d recommend ordering their chips as it’s very surprisingly nice, crunchy on the outside and very fluffy on the inside, much better than more premium restaurants we’ve been to. Chilli Mushrooms are also a must order. Great burst of flavour once you bite through its crispy exterior. Curries are flavours to be expected, but do not feel as oily or heavy as other places in the same price range. Overall a nice experience and would come again.

Poor Boxing Day choice . Despite the restaurant being almost empty with only two tables being served ( included ours ) the table service was slow and despite only four of nine people wanting a starter it took one hour for them to arrive then a further hour to serve the main courses. Curries we’re lovely but out of two people requesting a roast dinner one arrived the other was forgotten when we chased it up and it eventually arrived the vegetables were rock hard and cold ,the roast beef was like shoe leather. Altogether a very poor show from the Grange Wallington. To top it off we were charged £30.00 Service charge. Definitely won’t go there for a Boxing Day meal. It wasn’t cheap either.

Wow, wow, wow! Thanks to Leigh, Anna and the team for looking after us all at my 60th Birthday Bash last week (14th December) - the service and attention to detail, food and everything was fantastic! Went for Christmas dinner last night and will definitely not be returning.The food was atrocious, poor quality and under cooked to the point of being inedible .one staff member walked around all night without cracking a single smile leaning over people at the table to shake bottles hoping they were empty so she could clear away.she also took glasses with drink still in them.At the end of the night everyone was herded out of the room like cattle with a staff member shouting at everyone to have their conversations outside because the wanted to set up for the morning, people were literally just gathering their bags and saying goodbye to each other.

I was recommended by colleagues about the Grange. Amazing food and superb service. Food is big portion and scrumptious. Environment is calm and can enjoy the view of the Beddington park. Kapil is very friendly, hosting with care. Highly recommended!

I parked my car in the large car park with one other vehicle only on 4th December. WARNING! I just recieved a fine of £60 because, unbeknownst to me, you have to register when you enter the bar! I did not see any signs!!! I have emailed the info@ and asked them to sort it. Watch this space!!! I recieved a very quick response cancelling the charge. Thank you to the Grange management. Service, food, drinks excellent and Customer relations fantastic!

I went to the Xmas party. The food was delicious and nicely presented. Staff was good and humble. But one of the supervisor's attitudes was very bad on that day. She was rushing things. I think she is not talking to the walkie talkie litterly shouting.. its made some discomfort. Otherwise everything nice.

The food was absolutely delicious! Each dish I had was so tasty. The service was prompt and professional. The atmosphere was lively and reflected just how popular this restaurant is. I intend to make this my regular place to eat.

Went to the Mayor's fundraising dinner and had a fantastic time. All the food was really lovely and there was plenty of choice, with good veggie options. Leigh is a fantastic hostess and made everyone really welcome. I will certainly be going back for a family meal soon. I would also recommend the function room as a great space for family celebrations or business functions

I had a very enjoyable lunch there with my husband. We both had a chicken dish which was cooked to perfection. The staff very friendly and helpful.

Great Indian food in the lovely atmosphere of Beddington Park. The Lamb Biryani was delicious and a very generous portion. Will definitely come back soon.

Attended the Mayor of Sutton's charity function last Thursday. 3rd attendance at this venue fir charity functions and it just gets better and better. The Manger Leigh and her staff just cannot do enough to please you. Fabulous Indian cuisine (English alternative available) and plenty of it :-). Good bar and waiting staff service. Would highly recommend.

I have been to 3 fundraising functions at this excellent venue. And each visit has just got better and better :-) The manager Leigh and her staff just cannot do enough for you to make your experience joyful. Kapil is absolutely amazing and gives a second to none customer service experience. We are regulars at The Grange and seeing Kapil always makes our day instantly better. Lovely evening at The Grange for the Mayor of Sutton’s Charity Gala. Leigh and her team, as always, attentive to a fault to ensure we all had a fab evening and (most importantly) to raise as much as possible for HomeStart and Parkinson’s.

What an amazing experience at a Gala dinner here yesterday. It was being run by The Mayor of Sutton for his Charities as a fundraiser. The Staff were excellent and the help and support from the General manager, Leigh, was huge - there were about 80 people for dinner and the foot was served to time, even though some of the diners wanted to order different food to the normal wide selection of curry dishes. Food was excellent and the bar staff catered for every need. A definite place to return to again and again. 5 Star venue, 5 Star food & 5 Star service!

Delicious food, good music and lovely staff

Nice seating and space. However, the food is below standard, lacking in flavour. The drink I had was so bad I couldn't finish it...the worst mocktail pina colada I have ever had - really poor. If they can improve the food and drinks it would be a good place to go.

June 2023: Went to this lovely restaurant serving Indian cuisine for the first time recently on a Saturday evening with my husband. The venue is lovely overlooking Beddington Park and a big bonus is you can park there. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was ok although not the best but to be fair they were hugely busy with several large parties of people so understandable under the circumstances and certainly didn't spoil our evening. We will definitely be making this one of our go to places to eat. Update November 2024: Original review five stars, now downgraded to one star. This restaurant is geared up for groups of people, then you get treated well. If you are a couple you will be put on a table for two right next to another table for two which is tucked away near the kitchen door even when the restaurant is practically empty. I went for lunch with a friend several weeks ago, we were shown to one of the tables for two even though the restaurant was practically empty - it would have been nice to have a table overlooking the park. No problem, we hadn’t seen each other for a year so had lots to talk about. They then placed a husband and wife couple bang next to us who had absolutely nothing to say to each other the whole time and seemed to only want to listen to our conversation which was easy as their table was about 30cm away from ours, so we were forced to practically whisper to each other for the remainder of our lunch (and still loads of empty tables in the restaurant). Ruined the lunch for me. Then about two weeks ago I came here again for lunch with my husband and guess where they tried to seat us? Yes, the ‘couples tables’ with no view even though again the restaurant was practically empty. My husband declined to be seated there and they then offered us a booth…those bench seats in the booth are really uncomfortable and again no view. We placed a large order and we could not believe it when we realised the food had been put in cold serving dishes and our plates were also not warmed so the food was lukewarm before we even started eating. It was such a disappointing experience. I guess they were too busy with the group of about five or six people who turned up shortly after us. I suggest you choose somewhere else if you’re a couple otherwise be prepared to be ignored.

Held my wife’s birthday party at the Granges function suite, this is the second large party we have held here and both times the service has been fantastic. They take care of every detail, from decorating hall to catering. The atmosphere is great and all our guests commented on how good it was. Manager Leigh and all catering/ bar staff were superb. Also thanks to Sunny for the video booth and Junior for providing the music. Both did a great job and would highly recommend their service Thanks once again Grange for an excellent night

I have been here before and I will never go back after what I have just seen. How can you disregard someone’s personal items at a wake and not even have the respect to apologise. Clearly staff has stolen money that was suppose to be donated too. Absolutely disgusting. My thoughts are with the family at this devastating time

Awful place, won't ever use again after how they discarded my grans sentimental items without a care in the world. After we had been assured that they would be kept safe

Never book a function with them, after being told we could keep our items there till the next day, they discarded items outside and items of my grans to be taken. The manager has such an attitude.

Very good service, friendly service. The food was great as always and they went out if their way to get some fresh mint for us. Will definitely be coming back soon.

We came to The Grange to celebrate my 30th birthday and the food was absolutely delicious. We all loved the food and thought that the service by Kapil was very, very good. I even got a lovely brownie with a birthday message as a surprise by the staff … on the house. Would highly recommend. So glad I went to The Grange to celebrate my birthday!

Ashi & Utpal provided us with good service. Overall our meal was ok but the rice was cold and the cheesecake was very syrupy and sweet. This visit was disappointing compared to the previous one. Will still come back again.

Starters and Main courses were exceptional. And glad they gave us a doggy bag for the left overs. A little slow on parts of the service and forgot to serve kids ice creams so we cancelled them in the end after a long wait. Apart from that, the food and atmosphere were brilliant...will definitely be returning.

We were a group of 7 and were happy with the experience. We mostly ordered curries, all tasty and not greasy. Naans we’re delicious and stand out dish was the chicken biryani it was fragrant and packed with flavour, even having some rose petals sprinkled over it. Chick pea curry very nice too, good heat. Youngest member of the group had vegetable lasagna which ya sted Home made with fresh veg that still had bite to it. Really impressed. Service was good too , thank you

The service was great!!! Everyone was so accommodating and genuine.

We booked The Grange to celebrate my friend’s baby shower as it was close to her house. The online booking process was quick and easy. We arrived at 2:20 for our 2:30 booking so that we could put up some decorations. On arrival we were told that we had to order by 2:45 as the kitchen was closing. Surely this should have been told to us at booking. So we ordered a range of Indian starters and mains without the main guest present as we had told her to arrive between 2:45-3:00. The food was amazing. We ordered Mogo fries, chilli paneer, lamb samosa, sheekh kebab, butter naan, pilal rice, goan lamb curry, Bombay potato, canna masala and chicken tikka masala. After clearing our plates the waitress bought out the cake my friend had made. After eating the cake we were asked to leave as the restaurant had to set up for the evening. This was about 4:40, when we were told it closes at 5. Amazing food but terrible service.
