Excellent Sunday roast and cannot fault the service. Definitely recommended and will return again.

Everything was fantastic. The food exquisite, the service first rate and the atmosphere was welcoming.

I’ve been a regular visitor here and always been pretty happy with the food but last night I noticed a big drop in quality of the food and/or the cooking. Burgers way overcooked and the meat patty very dense. The chicken dish had way too much salt in it such that I can still feel the effects during the morning after. Generally the pub seems to have started sliding downhill and I hope this review will stimulate the owners to re-look at how they do things.

This is the place to go for ambience and great food. The meat (pork ribeye) is tender and flavoursome and the dauphinoise divine! Great service too. I recommend!

Just been to The Hare again for my birthday celebration , we were warmly greeted by the manager and Jackson and Leo and Erica are superb members of staff too, The food is superb but the staff are just exceptional and make every visit we have there , and we go regularly, a truly special occasion . A very special place to go and we love it !

A delightful menu and a great ambiance coupled with outstanding service made our Christmas eve lunch really memorable. We enjoyed the crab bites, onion soup, celeriac and beef with coconut rice but the star of the meal was the decadent chocolate dessert. A big thank you to Tabish for his attentive service throughout the meal and excellent recommendations. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Cosy warm pub. Christmas set meal was disappointing however, made to be too "fancy" - would have preferred a good traditional roast. Overall pleasant experience, nice staff.

Really nice country style pub, bit steep with prices but nice atmosphere.

The Owner (that is how this man described himself) came flying at me and my cute little dog, after I had put him on my lap and commanded me in a very rude manner to put the dog on the floor. My little furry friend has recently been diagnosed with a tumor and I wanted to treat him in which used to be a very dog friendly place and one of his favourites to go to. It is obvious that the owner and the people that were with him, don't really like, in fact, seem to have a strong dislike, if not hatred (that is how it came across) for dogs. I will never put a foot in that place again, the way I have been treated and spoken to, with quite a lot of hostility actually. The owner seems to just love the money and hates the important buddies of his customers. That man and his attitude does not gel with our English traditions. It's a shame when places like this lose their former beautiful traditional atmosphere because of people who refuse to fit in and just want what they want out of it.

We had lunch with two friends who had eaten here before. Lovely restaurant. Good menu and we went with the November menu. All three courses were delicious and we all enjoyed the food. One of our party needed gluten free food and there was good allergy advice from the server. Good service though our only gripe was that one if our friends ordered a coffee that was served in a glass with no handle which made it difficult to drink without wearing thick gloves. Why??

The best gastropub in Harrow by far. Great food, ambience and service. Vegetarian options are not an after thought. Also love that they have plenty of healthy options rather than fried and fast food. Having said that - must leave room for dessert!

pint of guinness is £6.45 more of a restaurant than a pub - but this place is really good - friendly staff - they serve guinness - good food though we only happened to have finger foods with our drinks on this occasion - great location

Visited The Hare for a Sunday Roast - looked really busy so was hoping for a lovely meal. We were all really disappointed - the food was tasteless, cold and the portion size was much to be desired. For an adult meal only given 3 roast potatoes and 3 carrots and a tiny jug of gravy to share.. only after mentioning what a small portion these were did we get extra with the comments that they give small portions to avoid waste. Will not be returning.

My partner and I had an absolutely outstanding evening at The Hare. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The food was simply exquisite—every dish we tried was exceptional. The Cheese Soufflé was light and delicious, the Crab Bon-Bons were perfectly crisp and flavourful, and the Pheasant Sausage and Pork Rib Eye were cooked to perfection. To top it all off, the Pistachio Soufflé was a delightful end to the meal. Our waiter, Vivek, truly elevated the experience. His knowledge of the menu and drinks was impressive, and he was incredibly attentive, personable, and full of humour, which made our evening even more enjoyable. It’s rare to come across service of this calibre. The Hare is definitely a place we’ll be returning to, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

Great pub and restaurant with helpful staff in countryside surrounding.

Our second recent visit and on each occasion we were well treated and the food is excellent, Steak Wednesday is a good experience.

Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, enjoyed a lovely mid week celebratory dinner. Very reasonably priced dinner which included a bottle of wine, very happy overall.

I’ve heard this place is lovely for Sunday lunch but we went there for a Saturday dinner and wouldn’t be going back. Service was so slow despite not being busy, food was expensive and portions were absolutely tiny. Quality of food is decent but just overpriced and small. Spent almost 85 quid on two meals, one kids meal and one dessert only to be hungry leaving. Super disappointing. Won’t be back.

A lovely British Pub (more like a restauraunt in terms of quality) - with great food ! The cheese soufflé as a starter and the pistachio soufflé as dessert and everything in between was great! Service is exemplary especially our server Tabish - very attentive , great advice on the food selection and just made you feel at home ! Their garden is very lovely for a sunny day ! Highly recommend this place

OMG! Stopped here on a whim after a tennis tournament, so glad we did! Rump steak and Beef and Ale pie were amazing! Staff were friendly and quick service. Will definitely stop here again👌🏼

Leo hosted us for our visit and he was brilliant! He was attentive without being overbearing, we felt comfortable and taken care of. We couldn't ask for more. The food was great as usual, French-inspired but without the sterile lack of soul. Hearty but well crafted.

Exceptional food (gourmet pub) with the loveliest service. I was meeting an old and dear friend and we strung out for nearly 3 hours a very light lunch and at no point were we rushed out made to feel anything but welcome. Very impressive and not expensive at all for what you get.

Wow has it changed since I first was there. Inside and outside seating. Excellent service. Good choice of food, very gourmet. Close to old Redding and Gilbert's residence the Grimsdyke Hotel.

Very poor food with little flavour and thus overpriced for what you get. We used to love this place but the food and service have both gone downhill unfortunately.

I booked an event here yesterday and the staff were absolutely amazing. They were so well organised and accommodating every step of the way. Highly recommend if you want to book an event or even stroll there for a lovely lunch. The covered outdoor area is really pretty. But especially want to give huge credit to the staff here they really are the best. The food was also top notch. Lovely experience and made the day really special

Went for lunch and sat outside.. Lovely garden just wasn't keen on the music coming from the TV.. Tinny and inappropriate choice considering the customers were mostly OAPs

Oh. My. Gosh. This pub is wondrous. The food has been revamped and they're beating European standards with a fusion cuisine, good choices, tasty and fresh ingredients and an apple & rhubarb crumble that's simply excellent. As well as that the atmosphere is steady and sociable, service attentive and drink selection very good indeed. Keep it up and this place will be a legend!

The Hare really shouldn't exist, it should just be an element in my dreams! You'd have to know your outer north-west London, on the Herts border, to ever find this place on your own. But, fortunately, word of mouth is spreading its whereabouts quite well enough. The basics are simple: Well-kept drinks and a chef who is master of his craft. Add outside drinking and dining, if that's what you like, space for kids and a large, but unobtrusive, car park. It should be obvious, and The Hare proves that getting those essentials right makes for a destination experience that you'll want to repeat time and again.

Every Sunday after church I take my 5 kids and wife and we get in our 2006 Chevy Tahoe and will drive so fast over the North Atlantic Ocean that we’re able to stay afloat so we can dine here. The food is amazing and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal.

Overpriced menu. Menu has changed and not for the better, steak and ale pie was awful, very greasy batter on the fish and the gammon dish was too dry

We hadnt been here for over 10 years! Until last night. The parking was ample, service was impeccable! Food amazing, so tasty and well presented. Pistachio souffle was to die for! All at a reasonable price! Keep up the good work ladies and gentlemen!

Big Shout out to Leo who went above and beyond for me. Not long had shoulder surgery and he didn't hesitate to offer to bring everything over to our table in the garden to save me carrying anything. What a lovely mannered, pleasant young man. When I thanked him he said ‘honestly it was nothing, I'm just doing my job’ - well actually it was everything to me and a delight to see a young man with such empathy. Thank you Leo!

Jackson the manager was rude when talking and did not want to address any issues properly. The staff and management have changed for the worse in this pub, which used to be outstanding. Very disappointing and would not be visiting again any time soon.

My first visit, but four others in our group of six had been to this restaurant before. The building must be 150+ years old, but it looks welcoming inside. There is seating outside too, but may only be suitable on warmer days. There are many parking spaces. I entered the car park via Brookshill, but I'm not sure if there's an entrance on Old Redding too--they should add this detail on their website. My wife and I opted for their steak and ale pie, but we asked for chips instead of mashed potatoes--mashed potatoes are one of man's worst inventions. The pie was délicieux! Can they improve this? Yes, make the crust thinner, if possible. For dessert, I went for the pistachio soufflé. Brilliant. I would have liked it twice the size.🤠 This review won't be complete without complimenting the staff. We were served by a young man called Tabish. We all felt very pleased with the way he looked after us. Would I recommend this place? Try it, you may be delighted.

I went with my dad for lunch here on Wednesday. What a treat! Set lunch three courses for £23.50...I think. Fabulous value. Different from standard pub menu; more like a good restaurant. 1: Courgette and garlic soup (much nicer than it sounds) 2: Smoked haddock with risotto and egg. Yum! 3: Mango and nougat something for dessert; interesting and delicious Interesting and delicious don't always go together, but it clearly does at The Hare for lunch The service from waiter Tabish was exceptional; very professional and friendly. He's clearly quite proud to work for this company (I think it's one of Raymond Blanc's pub/restaurants) and they are lucky to have such a nice young man on board in the team. And... Comfy chairs (unlike the uncomfortable wooden and wicker ones in many London restaurants) And finally: Proper serviettes (not bits of tissue like in most restaurants these days) Is this important? Really? Oh yes it is. It shows attention to detail in customer care. I really look forward to coming back for lunch with Dad (87 years old!) soon.

Family of 4. Wait for food was reasonable. Friendly staff. Food was delicious. I was disappointed in the size of my half chicken and missing wing, but was told that it was a half chicken.... I had the cheesecake dessert which was really, really delicious.

Unfortunately they don’t accept cash, so I will not be coming back here. Kids portion sizes are ridiculous (very small). Edit - well you should have a look at that , cash is legal tender.

It was my first time trying the roasts, and the food was great as always. I had a very nice Sunday lunch. The cheese soufflés are always a guaranteed winner, and I had the roast beef for my main. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were very friendly and helpful

We went here for an evening of drinks with friends. They have a good selection of gins and vodkas. Good choice of ale on tap as well as a decent choice of cocktails and mocktails. Good friendly service. I would like to try the food. I saw some of the food being served and it looked pretty decent. Cosy, homely pub with parking on site.

Very nice sunday lunch, have eaten at the Hare many times but this was first time eating outside, which was very pleasant. Food was great as always, cheese souflees are always a hit, I had the roast beef and rest of family had steak. Nice atmosphere with very friendly staff.

The hare is my favourite pub in Bushey area.. it’s a lovely environment, staff is polite, can’t wait to go there this summer, evening time must be so romantic there! Highly recommended

We popped in here for a couple of drinks on a Saturday afternoon. We paid £22 for 2 glasses of wine! We asked for some peanuts and a little while later they brought the peanuts to the table in a little pot. As we were leaving they brought it to our attention that we had to pay for the peanuts. Despite spending £44 for some wine, they made us pay £2.55 for a tiny pot of peanuts, not very good customer service! And they made out they were complimentary as they didn’t charge us when we paid for the wine.

We came here with friends; the atmosphere was cosy and the staff were very friendly. The food was good - I had a well-done burger that was just okay. Overall, it's a nice spot for a casual hangout with good vibes.

Visited with a group from Harrow Carers just for a quick drink as part of a day out. Will certainly be planning to return for a meal some time. Wonderful, friendly staff. Great building with loads of space for diners as well as a traditional bar.

I visited The Hare for Sunday Lunch with my wife, young Daughter and my 101 year old Grandmother, the food was good as expected. What really stood out for us was the service. We were served by Olivia, she was exceptional and is a credit to the team at The Hare. Welcoming, friendly and attentive.

Was passing by and chanced this place. What can i say but the interior of this pub was cozy but fresh. The food was perfect while catering for awkward allergy request. I will be coming back here again
