The Hills Bar & Restaurant in Castlereagh

My chicken burger was burnt and sweet potato fries were hard and undercooked. My husband ordered skin on skinny fries and he got regular chips. Our plates and wine bottle were lifted from us without asking had we finished, when we hadn't finished. Food and service was not good. This was pointed out to waitress who just laughed.

Great place, nice setting , small but tasty lunch menu. Awesome value for money.

Always the best of service to anyone who frequents it and the food is always so yummy...with such a reasonable rate. The prices are not rip off at all. Just recently I booked it as a post funeral / memorial service for my family and I couldn't praise the quality of food, atmosphere set, and service high enough. My Mother in Law was a real caterer at heart and she would have been really happy and proud of the hospitality shown at this meal. We underestimated the numbers but the team at the hills coped so well and delivered a very fine " spread" for all the family and friends. Thank you very much. The dignified and respectable delivery of refreshments was greatly appreciated and made this difficult time that bit easier. Many thanks

We attended the Wine tasting night on 16th August, we were welcomed with a delicious glass of cava as we arrived. There was such a lovely atmosphere and buzz in the restaurant. We were then seated at our tables and Philip the chef and the chap from the wine company talked us through each course and the wine pairing to accompany it, the food was stunning and the wine was delicious and there were plenty of extra pours. Carol and Erin were fantastic serving each course. One of the best nights we've had in ages and it was excellent value for money. Cant wait for the next one 😁

The Hills is a fabulous bar & restaurant with stunning views all around it. The food is delicious and very good value for the amazing quality you are served. I booked the Hills for my husband’s 30th birthday party and I was so impressed with everything. The staff went above and beyond to ensure the party was everything I hoped for and more. The setting is just perfect for a party or special event/occasion. The food and drinks were amazing and so many of the guests complimented the food and service for weeks after. I highly recommend the Hills to anyone whether it is for a meal, drink or a special event, you won’t be disappointed!

Very rarely do I feel minded to write a review - I'm usually too lazy to bother. But after the amazing food and service we received this week at The Hills I cannot let it pass by without recognition. It's great to see traditional good customer service, friendly faces and wonderful food. So many places are too busy trying to look cool on Instagram. The Hills puts its customers first and foremost and that is the most important thing in my eyes (plus they don't look too bad on Instagram either lol). Well done to all the staff at The Hills, thank you for making us feel so welcome!

Food was edible I have had better in a roadside cafe, service was not great 2 members of staff who have not been trained to interact with customers, did not appear to promptly clear and clean down tables. Food eventually arrived without cutlery everything moved very slowly. Don't think it is worth a second visit

Called in with some friends for Sunday lunch. I liked the fact the menu had been kept simple in that there weren't pages of options. Everything that we got was fantastic. Beautifully presented, well cooked and seasoned. Very reasonable priced as well. Well above usual golf club food. I will definitely be back!!

Food cold reheated in microwave and brought back to table ,one bit of broccoli and one carrot as veg on a Sunday roast dinner .no roast potatoes and half cooked Yorkshire pudding . horrendous would strongly not recommend going there, had to ask for salt and pepper and cutlery to eat the garbage that was served ,waitress and chief apologised .kids meal chips looked as if gravy needed changed before cooking and coujons hard .puddings had to ask twice for them to brought to table twice had to wait 20 mins after asking, tthere was 7 people in restaurant would strongly not recommend going there service and food horrendous and that’s me being nice writing this

Lovely celebration meal on Sunday food and staff excellent.

A beautifully relaxing environment with an impressive wine list and plenty of choice on the food menu too. The waiting staff and chef were extremely welcoming and helpful. I chose the Grilled Chicken Caesar salad with a glass of the house white: Campo del Moro - a Spanish blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Macabeo. The salad was delicious with succulent roast chicken, parmesan, bacon, fresh crispy lettuce and a nice garlic Caesar dressing. The wine was pleasant too - refreshing and easy drinking with flavours of green apple and apricot. My husband chose the chicken burger. Once again a delicious piece of chicken served with salad, chunky chips and a deliciously creamy coleslaw. He chose the Saint Marc Reserve Merlot from the Languedoc region in Southern France. Once again, this was a simple, but easy drinking and fruity wine with flavours of plums and blackberries and just a gentle hint of spice. We were also very fortunate to sample some of the yummy traybakes too - so good that we even brought some home for the kids!

Just been there for a lovely late lunch with my wife. Had a very tastey burger with nice fries. Waiter was very pleasant. Competitively priced for lunchtime meals and beer. Also had several smaller snacks and breakfast options on the menu.
