Perfect pub for a nice English experience with good food and a nice atmosphere. The live music is definitely a plus

Got the feeling of a classic and genuine English pub. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was very good, I had the Rabbit pie. Got the feeling that many locals were there after work, good atmosphere. Recommended, I will be happy to come back.

The staff was really friendly and the food was delicious. I really like the camden pale ale.

Big crush on this address! We came for a drink to spend one last evening in London and we were won over by the pub atmosphere of this bar with quality live music. We tasted their snack to share for which they offer an interesting formula. Even more so when we see the quality of what we ate for pleasant prices for London! We end our stay with a wonderful moment. Thank you again for this beautiful moment!

If you're in the mood for delicious food and a cool IPA in London, you've come to the right place. A pub as you would imagine. Fish and chips were juicy in a thin batter coating The pork pie was a decent portion but cost 17 pounds (very tasty) Really good value for money for London.

An experience not to be missed in London. Two hours of live music on Fridays (8:30 p.m.), Saturdays (8:30 p.m.) and Sunday evenings (7:30 p.m.) with exceptional musicians. Thank you for this moment. Ps: their snacks are excellent and of high quality. Nothing to complain about other than, go for it!

The place is great, the drinks are great, but the food (chicken and chorizo) is not nice : too much cooked and too oily ! The potatoes are not enough cooked and the brocolis are cold !

The pub is in a lovely old building and alludes to great things. Unfortunately the food is a bit formulaic and not what you might hope for. My son called the Nicholsons burger the worst burger that he had ever had, the fish pie was all cheese sauce and little fish. Overall this is a ‘could do better’ review

We had Christmas dinner and everything was as expected. Good food, no rush, welcome drinks as booked and pleasant staff. Complimentary drinks to finish as last coffee and tea had finished.

my husband and I visited this pub. Very pleasant atmosphere, pleasant and helpful staff, clean. The food is super fantastic. My husband ate pork sausages and I ate fish and fries. The dessert was more than excellent!

My wife ordered the pie and later she had to vomit all night. The girl with African heritage needs training. She didn’t know the items on their menu so she treats you like you are idiot.. their beer selection is good … final thoughts: go for a drink don’t order food and don’t have high hopes…

Hosted a Christmas meal for 35 BT people, The booking was easy, the service and food excellent, staff very friendly and attentive, food order all correct. It was such a nice evening. We went here on Saturday night as a group of 10. We had preordered our food ordered our meals in advance. Initially service was slow when we sat down, but once we were given Elle as our server it was great. The kitchen were clearly having a clunky night, Elle was great at chasing them up and keeping us appraised. One of the desserts didn’t arrive but Elle was honest about them not having vegan custard-this was appreciated. The food was tasty but it was just a shame it was so long between courses and not all the food came together. Elle made up for it, she really is an asset to your establishment. The live music was a bit loud if you’re trying to chat over food.

Great little pub. Gets very busy so get there early :-) Food was great value and staff were great.

**bias review** we went for dinner on Saturday night, we had 2 brisket burgers and 1 chicken schnitzel. Reason for going - my son has just started working there:) the food was lovely, honestly - the servers were swift and polite. There were many booking and many happy faces. We ( obviously) will be going again. Well done team

The food was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the evening was slightly ruined by a keyboard player who was murdering some of my favourite songs.

Excellent meal - beef rib, shim and brisket pie, and also a fish pie. Servers were very nice, atmosphere was pub perfect.

The pub was extremely overcrowded. We went there for a work socialisation. One of our colleagues got his bag stolen with his work laptop and credentials. The food was really bad. The sandwiches were plain bread with maionese or mustard. And the salads didn't look fresh.

We had an area for drinks and bar snacks, all pre-ordered. All staff were very helpful and friendly before the event, setting up, and during the event, especially Carmen and Dacey. The Finance Team said it was the best drinks event for a long time.

It was great till I went to the toilet and a man dressed like a chef. Came out of the stalls, Didn't wash his hands and went upstairs presumably to the kitchen. Made the delicious food very suspect

We visited this pub twice over the weekend, as we were staying close by, and loved it. Good selection of beers, and the wine was nice. The staff were really helpful and friendly too. We both had the beef and ale pie, and it was fantastic. Good food, and good portion sizes, too. Will definitely go back next time were round the area

Great pub located close to our hotel. We visited a couple of times during our stay, staff friendly and always served quickly. Great atmosphere and a good location.

Great bar/restaurant just 2 minute walk from our hotel. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and wonderful food. Steak pie and mash were melt in the mouth, and the steak sandwich and chips were delicious. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely return when we're next in London.

Tried this Pub by chance, and I must say what a truly excellent choice... The staff was very kind despite my "macaronic" English..they helped me order and everyone was really kind, especially the boy with the curls at the register..excellent atmosphere, what you expect from a real English pub. . All dishes were good. We tried the pie with mushrooms, the fish and chips and a burger, all excellent!!!! I recommend it if you are in the area

It’s a pub, so there’s definitely beer! I went there on Friday and there was live music. I ate well too, a rather local and excellent dish! Super friendly and warm, go for it!

Such a great spot! I visted countless of restaurants/pubs in UK. Everything is just "meh". Hoops and Grapes is first place where food is delicious! Local looks great has really cool vibe. It is my go to spot now, when I visit London!

I came here to eat fish and chips but was convinced to try the pie specialities. Ended with the steak pie, which was delicious and juicy. Great variety of local and international beers. As I was there with my daughter, I had to leave after the second ale. Probably saved me from getting properly wasted in this cosy pub. If you like traditional english pubs, that's the spot for you

Had a weekday lunch. What a fantastic venue. Excellent in all areas. Good food, beers and service I wholeheartedly recommend the Hoops.

What a great little (big) pub this is. Right next to the station. Had the snitzel and a soft drink, but will be back to try the great range of ales this place has for sure 😊

Was there on a Saturday night and the live music was great! Drinks were also on point, would highly recommend a visit.

Old City boozer right on the edge of the square mile as Whitechapel begins. The area has been changing with more housing and less offices but it was still full of office workers. It's a Nicholson's so a good range of beers at City prices. Fast service. Not too crowded. Noisy crowd. We sank a few pints and moved on.

Fantastic atmosphere, service, and food. Live music on Saturday night was good.

Came here during my trip to London August 20-27th. We were lucky enough to make it before the kitchen closed. We were even luckier to have Carmen be our server! She gave amazing recommendations, was incredibly kind, and provided friendly and efficient. Thank you Carmen!!

First evening in London, near the hotel we go into this pub, they seated us almost immediately, it was an evening with music, so full, very good vegetable pie, friendly staff. So for the last evening we decided to return, I had fish & chips with delicious tartar sauce. I highly recommend it
