This place tries to position itself as a more high end restaurant / a-la-Hoxton experience with higher prices, but there was no proper pub food on the menu (ex: no burgers or fish and chips) - the rest of the food was average at best (the duck starter had to be sent back to the kitchen as it wasn’t fresh at all… very poor), service was ok but cold overall. Avoid if you want to have a nice gourmet pub experience with a warm atmosphere

We went to The Hunters Moon while we were down in London on holiday. Over the years of holidaying in London, we have been to a few different places in London for a Sunday roast, most sadly were frozen veg, shop bought roast potatoes, shop bought Yorkshire Puddings. I had roast beef and my girlfriend had roast pork belly. It was by a massive amount the best Sunday roast we have ever had. The carrot purée that came with my roast beef was absolutely delicious. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding were both home made. The Yorkshire Pudding I had with my roast beef was easily 6 inches tall, and the roast potatoes were lovely and crisp and were absolutely delicious. Also the accompanying vegetables (which when we were there was green beans and cabbage) were all fresh veg. The roast pork belly that my girlfriend had, she informed me that it was delicious and was the best she had ever tasted, as were all the other things that came with it (roast potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding, apple sauce, cabbage and green beans). We also got a couple of side dishes. One was cauliflower with a three cheese sauce and the second was pork, sage and black pudding stuffing. These were absolutely stunning. The cheese sauce was lovely and creamy and was a nice thick consistency. The black pudding that was in the stuffing, I must admit when reading it on the menu I was unsure of, but it complimented the pork and sage in the stuffing perfectly and was absolutely delicious. The service was very quick and we waited no time at all to be seen to, and after ordering our food was fetched to the table very quickly. All the staff who attended to us were all extremely friendly. I want to thank all the staff at The Hunters Moon, for leaving us with a very happy memory for us both, and needless to say that we will be heading back to The Hunters Moon when we are next in down in London.

I recently had the very unfortunate experience of visiting this pub and I must say it was one of the most disappointing pub visits I’ve ever had. To start, the food menu is severely restricted and small, with none of the traditional pub food you would expect. If you’re looking forward to enjoying some classic pub fare like fish and chips, burgers, or a hearty pie, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Adding insult to injury, the service was appallingly rude and unprofessional. The staff seemed disinterested and annoyed by our presence, offering no assistance or courtesy throughout our visit. Basic requests were met with sighs and eye rolls, making the whole experience extremely unpleasant. If you're looking for a friendly atmosphere with a decent selection of pub food, do yourself a favour and find another pub. There are plenty of better options out there that actually value their customers and provide a welcoming environment.

We were at The Royal Brompton today and although I'm a regular visitor we never go round the front of the hospital since Covid but today we did and noticed a really nice looking pub opposite that looked wheelchair accessible so we went over for lunch. It had a small step but even then we were offered a ramp but didn't need it. The same man unlocked the double doors and helped us to a lovely table. I wasn't very hungry and had noticed these amazing sausage rolls and so had my husband. We both just had them, fries and drinks. While waiting we read the different menus and specials boards and it made us decide we are definately going back. Another man served us and was also so friendly. Other people's food came out and it looked as delicious as our amazing sausage rolls which presentation looked so good. We will be in there on every appointment now. Wonderful pub, lovely staff, delicious food. Thank you for being so accessible x

UPDATE: Visited again for their set lunch, which was very disappointing. Soup was way over salted, pasta was undersalted, and the portion sizing of all items was all a bit awkward, with dessert being huge. Lunch took over 2 hours too, and it was difficult to get staff attention for service. -- A true gastropub with charm and vibe in spades. Despite being incredibly busy, the staff were friendly and helpful when we wandered in on a Friday night without a booking. The food is almost certainly the best pub meal I've ever had. I'd come back just for the bar snacks. Food was a little slow to come when we ordered, but the staff did say they were really busy, so I thought the situation was well-handled. The venue has a dining area and a drinking area (where you can also order food). The drinking area isn't particularly large though, so go early if you're looking to nab a spot.

Poor night here. Booked for later evening but the waitress immediately told us on arrival that the kitchen was shutting in half an hour. If you book with someone presumably they expect to keep the kitchen open to serve you adequately? Many food items not available on the menu, moderate quality at best with the exception being of the pork belly which was decent. Hugely overpriced. Sticky toffee pudding at £13.50! Medlar down the road is practically Michelin quality and cheaper! This place needs to take a long, hard look at itself, retrain its serving staff and be better. Great location and decent interior means it has a head start already.

It served its purpose - like any port in a storm - but I'll go elsewhere next time I'm in the locale. It had the aura of fine dining rooms but the "pub" bit felt tacked on in the leftover space as a holding area for waiting diners. A couple of pints of very off beer were swiftly replaced, but never should have been served in the first place. The potato chips are however spectacular but the volume of the TV 6 Nations Rugby needed muting. There were very few punters watching and the din made it uncomfortable for the rest of us.

Closer to two and a half stars than three. We came in for a Sunday evening dinner for 4, arrived on time/a little early to our reservation and were seated and given drinks pretty promptly, but that's about where the good service ended. Courses took ages to come out, and when we asked the server (who was attentive to every table except ours lol) we were kind of condescendingly explained that courses take 15-20 minutes to come out. This would be understandable if we had not already been waiting around 30 minutes before calling her to ask, and then after being told the wait time was 5 minutes more, having to wait another 20 minutes. The dining room wasn't even full, and we saw three tables get seated after us and get their food and even leave before we were served our mains. The food itself was okay, we each got a roast (sirloin, lamb, and pork belly) and some sides. The best dishes of the night were the duck salad starter and the cauliflower cheese side. Unfortunately the lamb was mostly fatcap and not super palettable to finish, and the sirloin came a little dry when it eventually did show up. Their cocktails and mocktails were good. Overall, I would try somewhere else for dinner/British sunday roast, or maybe we just had an off night there. One of the more negative experiences we've had for the price point and review ratio, especially in service levels.

Amazing Sunday Roast! If you want to show someone visiting what a good sunday roast is then take them here! The beef and the pork were both cooked perfectly, really juicy and the pork had a nice crispy base; the potatoes were gold and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they didn't skimp at all on the sauces and gravy. Portion was a good size too. Save space for desserts tho because their desserts are out of this world as well. Had previously today complimented (on my Facebook page “Cask Ale Pubs CAP”) The Hunter’s Moon, 86 Fulham Road, London SW3 6HR - but then deleted my post after subsequently experiencing today a surly barman who refused to replace my end of barrel pint of Wye Valley HPA with a pint of Wye Valley Butty Bach (both at £5.50 per pint!) without charging me for a new pint! I called management who eventually replaced my pint - but not with good grace! (Real shame as both myself and my wife liked the place and I had built a convivial relationship with the previous barman and manager). We were going to stay for dinner but we repaired elsewhere and will never return after such appalling customer relations! Beware!

You wouldn’t know from looking at it, but this is a small pub that has a brilliant restaurant at the back. You can have bar snacks - the Korean Chicken bites are a 15 out of ten, but the new Sriacha Tempura Shrimp is a challenger. But the food in the restaurant is tip top. They do a scallop raviolo which is awesome, and the Wellington was off the charts. There’s other great items on the menu - tuna sashimi and the liver parfait are great starters, and there’s always a butchers special that’s tempting. I have to make special mention of the service - Sam and Jocette are delightful hostesses who are attentive without being intrusive. They also know how to offer guidance around the wine list, which is a bit of a treasure trove. In one sense the Hunter’s Moon is a local pub with desperately friendly hosts, but it shields a really amazing restaurant. Would recommend.

One of the best pubs in London. Impeccable service, amazing ambiance, and classic pub food. I felt like I was in a country where people over-tip that's how good the service was from Ousmane, Ben, and Teo (top work lads, you should be very proud!). The scotch egg is the best in London; get it while it's hot! Look forward to stopping by the next time I'm in the neighbourhood! Cheers!

Upscale pub with great vibe. Overall food and service was good. The roast wasn't the best, but quite good with the exception of the vegetables, which were terrible. (I know, no one orders the roast for veggies, but still!)

Came here for Sunday roast. The beef was freezing cold when it came to the table. The chicken was dry and chewy. Very disappointing. When it was brought to the attention of the staff, they did not handle it well. Because the food was not eaten, we inquired about a dessert. The manager was very rude and said, Why would you even want anything else from us when you are so unhappy? It was quite shocking, really. Unfortunately, the whole experience was terrible and I would not recommend at all.

One of the best in food experiences in London!! Professional and friendly staff…. We had the chicken schnitzel and the beef feather-blade for lunch, which just melted in my mouth. The dinning room has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and we were served by a lovely member of staff, who was very friendly and attentive. Thank you Jo. We’ll be regulars now!

We ate here on a Saturday evening, a little early, so it wasn’t a full buzzing atmosphere at the time, but it was a nice setting nonetheless. The waiting and bar staff were friendly, but mostly very young and with that, ever so slightly awkward; there didn’t seem to be a confident commanding presence in the dining room. I ordered the Celeriac velouté to start, which was delicious and perfectly seasoned. My wife had the burrata dish, which was also good, can’t go wrong with burrata. I went for the special partridge dish for a main, my wife had the girolle tagliatelle. I really struggled with mine, it was painfully rich, and the addition of foie gras boosted that tenfold; it all felt a bit self indulgent and I think losing the slightly old fashioned foie gras and complimenting the rich dish with some pickled veg or roasted beets, something acidic could have made it a really nice dish. My wife’s pasta was also rich, but was polished off! For dessert we ordered a chocolate fondant and a sticky toffee pudding. Sadly I found the sticky toffee pudding inedibly sweet. I’ve never eaten something so sweet it made me grimace before, it was almost like something went extremely wrong and no one noticed before serving. The pudding itself was also very dense, pale and bland. The chocolate fondant ironically could probably have done with more sweetness and it was swimming in chocolate sauce to begin with, which took away from the magic of breaking the fondant open. The menu comes with some serious prices attached, and I think perhaps the owner throws lots of truffle flavours and foie gras in there to make up for that, but overall, other than the decent starters, it was all quite disappointing.

Our return visit to The Hunter's Moon exceeded our already high expectations. The service was warm and attentive from the start, setting a welcoming tone for the evening. We decided to try the cauliflower cheese and cod dish, which can be a challenge to flavor, but here, the chef nailed it. The cod was exceptionally flavorful, and the creamy cauliflower cheese complemented it perfectly. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was the highlight of the meal. It was warm, moist, and drenched in a rich toffee sauce, making it a must-try. The drinks were also impressive, with well-crafted cocktails adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The Hunter's Moon remains a top choice for delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

No plant based option and very limited vegetarian ones, which I guess makes sense for a place called "The Hunter's Moon". Still, I didn't choose the venue, would have been nice to not feel left out. I got the ratatouille, it was good, but definitely not exciting. It was a bit hard to communicate with the waitress. Nice ambience.

Great location for very good dining. Food was excellent, albeit on the pricier side. The pub is split between a dining, bar and terrace area. Service was top notch.

Best food I've had in a long time. We just kept being blown away. The tuna sashimi was amazing, almost like they had their own addition to the soy sauce and very fresh fish. Wasn't my #1 fav burrata, but it was very good and the garnishes and sauces were wonderful. Great selection of snacks and drinks. Lovely dark wood and green walls, fun throwback bartending tools. This would be a go-to spot if I lived nearby.

Great Sunday Roast Dinner. VeryTasty. Staff were attentive. My only small concern would be the amount of food on the plate could be more considerate. Potato don't cost much at all, do a few extra would for me have made the meal perfect.

I enjoyed a lovely roast chicken with finely caramelised bacon on a bread sauce. Their have a large, sensible list of wines, so that even the less expensive choice would leave one with no regret. A special mention for the service: the young lady that helped us got all our requests right, and brought drinks and wine exactly when we asked them; I hate finding myself waiting for the wine while the starter is already in front of me. Happy customer here.

We found this gem by chance today, after being mistreated by a waiter at The Goat nearby. Their bartender said the place was fully booked, but their waitress Sam managed to give us a table straight away. Sam was wonderful, very accomodating in making me a sweet cocktail, so polite and always trying to go the extra mile. The service is efficient but you do not see the staff stressing out, which makes the ambience quite chilled out for their guests. The food was really good! The chicken was soooo tender, which we guessed they cooked it in a steamer for some time? Perfect! The gravy, the bread puree and the honey glazed carrots were so tasty. We were so lucky! It's also dog friendly.

Average pub with high prices. Steak was Offered as a high end but was an unidentifiable cut. Duck Pasta was overwhelmed with orange rind of all things. Foie gras pâté was fabulous though. Go for that and a salad.

Esta es una empresa familiar y claramente se enorgullecen de su panadería y sus productos. No te decepcionarás. Otra cosa es que te entregarán por un cargo muy razonable a menos que esté extremadamente lejos. Siempre que necesitamos algo entregado en Londres, siempre es de Brownie Box. ¡No te pierdas sus rubias!

Been going here for nearly 10 years and now they just keep putting their prices and up and filling the sandwiches with less filling. Won’t be going here anymore.
