Brilliant service, made everyone feel welcomed and special .

Always aimed to visit this restaurant and was not disappointed food was very well presented and taste was to die for the xmas snowman dessert was a masterpiece

Nice ambience in this historic building, The Rotunda, embellished with large paintings of racehorses around the walls. The central bar is pretty although I prefer to eat at a table. Food is superbly presented in a style that could achieve a Michelin Star; price is reasonable, lunch for two, skipping the starter but including dessert and one drink + coffee for around £100.

The service and attention to detail was excellent.

Adam and Sarah were particularly kind and courteous towards us with close attention at all times to our requirements.

We visited for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience overall. The staff were friendly, and the building itself is both impressive and beautifully designed. However, there were a couple of minor issues. The menu mentioned an alternative menu, but when we enquired about it, the waiter informed us that it wasn’t available yet. Additionally, when we were asked if we’d like water, we assumed it was tap water, but we were served bottled water and later charged £5 for it. Despite these small setbacks, the meal and atmosphere were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

Love the Christmas decorations this visit (although they didn't have Korean glazed chicken on the menu this visit) The snowman dessert was delicious and beautiful My child's birthday bomb was awesome and a unique treat for them.

We have never been here before and maybe our expectations were too high. But the place was very busy and tables were too close. Service was OK but took too long between courses. Food was OK but not what we expected for the price. Expectations of a place that should oooze fine dining did not deliver.

5* Star Review, came here for a Hen Do and it was an absolute fantastic evening nothing was to much for our host from our music choices to bringing us drinks... The food was hands down absolutely gorgeous so hats of for cooking for 21 Hens! They even took the time and consideration to make note of all allergies and check in with everyone's regarding this! Lovely evening and even better cocktails... Well Done Team Ivy! ✨

Came for the afternoon tea to celebrate my grandmothers birthday and had such a lovely experience. The food and tea were amazing, but the service was what really stood out. Everyone was so friendly especially Adam, who made us laugh every time he came over! The birthday girl also received a free desert which was a lovely touch. The Cheltenham Ivy is my favourite of all the Ivy chains I have been to around the country.

Went to The Ivy for my birthday yesterday, absolutely amazing from start to finish. Food was excellent, also service, first class, atmosphere, buzzing, loved it. Gianfranco was my waiter, made my experience, he was really good. The birthday dessert was a masterpiece, thoroughly enjoyed it......

Always a welcome smile and big hello, fabulous prawn and lobster cocktail currently available served to perfect.

Great location, magnificent building, but with a slow and slightly unprofessional service. If you have a food intolerance, you are asked to scan and download a menu on your phone, with the menu intolerance details. However, no desert menu's appeared here. Pretty basic error really. Unusual, that the staff can't talk you through the menu, as in most other decent restaurants. A little disappointing, and we won't be going back again soon.

Love this place! it by far the best place to eat out in Cheltenham. I'm a picky eater but even i found some amazing food and loads of choice. Margaritas are very strong too

Went to The Ivy in Cheltenham for lunch to celebrate a Birthday - excellent and attentive staff, fantastic food and a good lunchtime atmosphere. Parked at Royal Well car park which is under 10 minutes walk. Would definitely recommend The Ivy based on my visit.

First time at the Ivy in Montpellier. It was our anniversary, and tbh the seating was not comfortable and very close to the next table. When a member of staff came to take orders from the tables either side of us, you literally had their back in your face. It was our second choice of seating as the first was right in amongst the people traffic. So we asked to sit elsewhere. There were plenty of other seats as we were booked just after 6pm, but we were shown the next poor choice. Later I asked, could we have sat in the other empty seats or were they reserved. I was told nothing was reserved in that area for that time of night. My mind boggles to why you would not be offered a better table first. The food was good and we prefer quality over quantity. We didn't have a starter, though we thought we did when the main dish arrived. Felt like getting a take away on the way home. I have a business and like to give quality and service as well as recieve it. The Ivy was a bit of a let down from our point of view. Definitely not romantic but a good place for listening in on other people's conversation and being listened from others. Not what we wanted 😒

Wonderful evening. Fabulous food and excellent service (special thanks to Leah) Bar staff made a cocktail which didn’t feature on the menu… thank you. And an extra mention for the Snowman dessert. Look forward to coming back to the Ivy in 2025. Have a great Christmas.

The ambience is great but a lot of the food was lukewarm. The real problem was that the person who booked the table by phone was made to pay £70 before he made the booking. That money was taken out of his account. When the bill came there was no £70 reduction - lot of palaver as the Ivy said that the money had not appeared as credited to the Ivy. Eventually they agreed to take the £70 off the bill. We all paid our share but were then left with working out the reimbursement for the person who booked. It was a birthday meal & this shenanigans spoilt it.

I'm really disappointed with the festive afternoon tea. The sandwiches were OK, nothing to write home about .. the cakes were dreadful. Tasteless and really nothing special. The nicest was probably the tiny mince pie. The staff were polite, but so busy it took a while to get their attention to get anything. Would I go back 🤔 .. NO Much better food in other lovely places in Cheltenham.

Really as expected. Professional service but could have been friendlier. Food was good without being exceptional. Every time I have had brunch in an Ivy (a few times) my eggs have always been overcooked. It was not busy, so lacked a bit of atmosphere

It is quite an experience to go to the Ivy but do not expect anything special in terms of the quality of cooking or ingredients. It's very average at best. Nor is it an innovative menu. A G&T will set you back £14 and it is served in a thick tumbler more akin to a vase than a glass with a thick slice of cucumber. The service is good and attentive without being intrusive.

The food was fine, general atmosphere was nice but we didn’t have a great experience with the service. Fortunately it was only one server but it ruined our experience nonetheless. We got to our table and as we were celebrating a birthday and a graduation we were opening a couple of presents and had a quick catch up once we sat down. We were sat down for about 5-10 mins and a server (who looked like a manager as she was dressed differently to the other servers) asked to take our drink orders. We asked if we could have a couple more minutes because we hadn’t had a chance to look at the drinks menu as we’re celebrating so have been opening presents etc. She then said ‘I can give you a couple more moments but we are busy so we do need your table back!’ They allow 2 hours for tables of 4 bearing in mind and we had only been there 10 minutes! Of course we only needed a couple of moments to decide and we were on schedule for the rest of the meal so we felt it was unnecessary to make this comment. Throughout the rest of the meal she was talking to the other servers, clearly about our table, which might have been nothing but we felt rushed and as if we were a burden for being there! We did mention this to staff who apologised and told us the table wasn’t actually booked after us and we could also sit at the bar if we wanted to stay longer. But after being made to feel unwelcome and a largely impersonal experience (the server did not acknowledge we were here celebrating) we were happy to leave.

Beautiful building but it was cold and drafty. The afternoon tea was mostly nice but not wow for the £35 and a bit skimpy with the cream and jam. The eclair was not fresh but tasted a few days old.

Very very disappointed. Arrived with a pre paid voucher for two for afternoon tea. The Waitress greeting was lovely and the venue is nice. Shown to the table and asked if we would like a glass of water. I ordered a Pot of Coffee and my wife tea. Water was brought along with Tea Coffee and the cake and sandwich stand. The coffee was as i asked Black but was tepid in temperature and had obviously just a plain filter coffee which was bland. I drank it immediately in one as it was pretty cold. One tea bag in the pot and neither my wife or I offered anything else to drink and in fact we did not see the waitress again...? Until a waiter brought the bill. The food was all okay but having had lots it was for me average at best. Had better in a number of garden vcentres.. (To be fair it may have been just my taste. Literally when we finished we were pretty much presented with a bill? despite have a Paid for voucher? £5 for the water I had and a 12.5% service charge. I did say I was unhappy and the waiter frankly looked annoyed and spoke so the other table could hear so to save my wifes embarrassment I paid and left. I did write a email to the IVY but received no reply at all hence posting here and about to post on other review sites. I do visit other establishments and do not expect perfection but a fee of £86 for a couple of sandwiches a few cakes, a tepid bland coffee and a one tea bag pot of of tea is out rageous especially for poor service.

Dining at its finest! We enjoyed a fantastic meal at The Ivy Montpellier. I had heard glowing recommendations for their shepherd's pie before but had never tried it—this time I did, and I regret missing it on past visits. It was on another level! The service was exceptional as well. Our waitress, Hannah, was attentive and accommodating, especially with the kids. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return! Thank you for creating such a special dining experience for us.

Great experience on our first visit here. We have been to several other Ivy's elsewhere. This was as nice as any. Very enjoyable experience. Lovely food. Not too expensive

Attentive staff, decadent decor in a stunning heritage building in the centre of a beautiful town

Beautiful surroundings and attentive staff. We had afternoon tea. The food was delicious and the presentation was lovely. My only niggle is that there wasn't enough savory (two finger sandwiches and a small brioche bun). The rest was cakes and scones. I feel another sandwich or two would have balanced it better. There were two scones each, one would have been sufficient. However, the cakes were not stodgy or sickly at all. As you'd expect, it's certainly not cheap, but well worth a visit as a treat.

Typically excellent Ivy food and service. We had the bombe dessert which was theatrical, impressive and delicious. Beautiful building. Not masses of space (table of 5).

We had an amazing meal. The service was fantastic we were served Freya and she was really attentive, sweet and a credit to the restaurant. I was watching the team and they all worked together like clockwork. It was our wedding anniversary and had a lovely anniversary plate. Will be recommending and looking to return soon!

Cheap pub grub food nothing special. Worst in montpellier by far

If they would answer the phone instead of having a recorded message or useless Bot and FAQ’s that don’t exist I’d be able to speak to some about my reservation !

The Ivy is a British local fine dining brand with British classic decor. Last night we tried the Autumn menu and the price was ok but it was a pity that the restaurant have spent energy on garnishing salad and deserts but neglected the most important MAIN COURSES. The steaks didn’t taste and look like from a fine dinning restaurant. And when we ordered the steak, the lady didn’t even asked us how would we like our steaks to be cooked to Medium rare or Medium or medium well which made it feel like order taking in a fast food restaurant. So in the end what we got for 3 steaks were 2 portion of medium cooked and 1 portion of well done cooked which were very unprofessional. We didn’t raise up the issue in restaurant cos we didn’t want to break our happy moments. But the steaks texture level and cooking level didn’t match with the fine dinning restaurants. The main service were good especially the receptionists were very nice and welcoming.

Quiet rainy early Tuesday evening, so atmosphere was quieter. Also an early supper, pre chelt lit festival. Food and wine, great as always. Such a beautiful restaurant, always consistent food at The Ivy, regardless of location.

Situated in an old bank building with a beautiful dome, this is a delightful dining experience. All dishes were perfection. I loved my Shepard's pie ! The chocolate bombe dessert is a sweet delight.

I've been to the Manchester ivy but Cheltenham has been even better. Far better

When you have something to celebrate, where do you go? The Ivy of course! And when my two gorgeous friends and I have something to celebrate, there’s no stopping us, we definitely go to The Ivy! This place is one of the coolest restaurants in town and let’s be honest, it’s the kind of place where you feel elegant enough to wear sequins. Over the years some of the team has changed, which is as inevitable as my love for cake, and a HUGE credit to Keith and his team for maintaining the excellent standards that keep us coming back for more :) We were lucky enough to have Luke looking after us, he was super professional and attentive, and also brave enough to handle three loud women in the mood to celebrate! And then there was Francesco, who was so patient when it came time for a photo… Let’s just say he would have been perfect for a family portrait. A special shout out to Bogdan, who genuinely cares about creating a wonderful experience for all his guests. 👌The food was delicious, the atmosphere perfect with just the right amount of elegance, everything to make you feel like a star. So, thank you, Team Ivy, for making our celebration unforgettable! We also greatly appreciate your hospitality. We had a wonderful, wonderful time and I can safely say that if you want to celebrate something big or small, this is the place to go!

Unfortunately we have been placed at a very drafty table, although we have asked for a booth. The explanation was that these are reserved. But during our whole stay no one was placed at any of them. Additionally, we had to wait very long for our breakfast.

Slightly disappointed, our first and possibly last visit here after hearing nothing but good things. Food was good but never worth the amount we spent. Atmosphere was weird and not all that. Service was very good 👌 Shame 😞

This was our first visit here for a celebration lunch. There is a varied menu which includes options for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian. Our food was delicious complemented by the beautiful decor. Once upon a time this was a bank, there is a central circular bar and the domed ceiling is stunning.

Good food. Stopped by for some breakfast. Although the service was, strange, so to speak, with a lot more snobbishness than expected from an average British breakfast joint. The ambiance was nice, but the actual food was comparable to ANY British breakfast place you could find in the country. Prices were OK.

Excellent food and service. High quality steaks cooked to perfection. Drinks being overpriced is the only downside but still worthy of 5 stars.

Stunning. Took a friend for lunch, great atmosphere, busy and bustling, food was exceptional and the £19.17 menu is excellent. Great range of drinks, team knowledge, not much more you could want for a nice treat out for lunch or supper. Been several times and never disappoints :)

Stunning setting in an old Rotunda. Food was full of flavour and generous in portion size. Service was attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Welcoming and friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Had high expectations going in. Interior is beautiful. Four of us had the fixed price menu. The chicken gnocchi was dry and overcooked; sauce was non-descriptive. My husband said the shepherd pie was tasty. All of us wanted the crab salad but it was unavailable. Entrees do not come with sides so need to buy as extra. In the end the fixed price is not much of a saving. Also, there is a surcharge for the steak as part of fixed price item. Very thin, beaten steak wasn't all that special, either. Servers (Hannah and another lady) were great, they did a fantastic job. Would I go back? Absolutely not, not good value for the money.

Superb afternoon tea for a birthday celebration. Food was of an excellent quality, plentiful (we took some home in a box) and the service was first class. Combine this with the lovely decor and architecture and it’s perfect. Thanks.

Had a lovely birthday lunch at the Ivy with my partner. The service was amazing, the staff were very attentive but not in your face, and very friendly. The food was sublime. We are from the 1917 menu, which gave 2 courses for £19.17 and it was well worth that. The place is beautiful inside, with quirks, and they allowed me to sit and sketch which was very much appreciated.

We booked an afternoon tea at the Ivy following our marriage at the registry office in Cheltenham. The Ivy excelled in every way. The service was impeccable, the quality, variety and the presentation of the food was absolutely perfect…..one of the best afternoon teas I have had and all the guests loved every minute! The atmosphere and surroundings of the Ivy are beautiful… we will absolutely be back again. The Staff gave us a congratulations card and also a “ congratulations “ profiterole” to share which was a really lovely touch. Well done to The Ivy for making our day extra special.

Very nice high end place with good quality food and service with a smile the decor on the inside is lovely to see with nice interior design and lovely centerpieces bar. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with a flow of people in and out the restaurant. Such a lovely environment to spend time in with family and friends will be going again some time soon.

Upmarket dining experience. Waiter could of upsold a little as my dish came with no veg which had I known I would of ordered. Day menu is fair at just under £20 for 2 courses.
