Always a nice atmosphere. Set menu very good value. Service was good.

Great space for a date or special dinner. Exceptional atmosphere and service. Food was well prepared, and menu has options for every taste or diet need. Staff was very attentive to ask if anyone in our group had special diet requirements or allergies. Drinks and bar were also good before the meal. Appetizers were nice. Rice balls were underwhelming.

I've been to a few different places about Ivy, but first visit this one. The food is delicious and unfortunately not the service here.

We recently hosted a formal dinner at the private Pelican Room here and were, overall, very pleased. The room if of a good size, the décor is fun and the views over Victoria Street are great. The staff did a great job setting the table up and it looked lovely on arrival. Service from Aymeric and Alina was great – they could not have been more helpful. The whole group was happy with their starters and desserts from the set menu, although the flat-iron roast chicken didn’t go down too well as a main – it was described as dry. The cod fillet was great, though. I do wonder if the rack for coats could be hidden better in the room, as many of our pictures from the evening feature a lot of coats. The prices of alcohol are definitely a tad toppy – the cheapest prosecco at £54 and the cheapest wine for £34 doesn’t quite feel right. The toilets could also do with some servicing during the evening – they were looking quite dishevelled by the time we left.

Disastrous Birthday Celebration at The Ivy Victoria – Avoid at All Costs! I was excited to celebrate a birthday at The Ivy Victoria, expecting a special and memorable evening, but it turned into an absolute disaster. From the start, things were off. The music was blaring so loudly that we couldn’t hear anyone except the person right next to us, making conversation impossible. Our table, booked for 6, was awkwardly set for 8, and despite this glaring issue, the waiters left it unchanged. It then took over 30 minutes before any drinks arrived—a painfully slow start to the evening. The lack of attention to detail continued. For six people, there was just one small portion of butter for the bread. When we asked a waitress for more, she outright ignored the request. The main course was no better—one of the sauces was missing entirely, and the waiter didn’t care at all whether everything had arrived. When we finally managed to get the attention of what seemed to be a manager, they offered to bring the missing sauce *after* the meal was nearing its end. Dessert service was even more appalling. One of our guests had the menu literally snatched out of their hands. Those drinking soft drinks were limited to one glass, as the staff took their glasses away without offering refills. Meanwhile, we had to keep chasing the staff just to pour the wine from our own bottle, and no one bothered to ask if we wanted anything else. Clearly they have no grasp as to how establishments make their money. To make matters worse, the aftermath of this meal was just as bad as the experience itself. By the following morning, one of our guests was continues to suffer from diarrhoea, while another had to drink tea to settle their stomach. While we can only hope it wasn’t food poisoning, it wouldn’t surprise us given the shoddy service and lack of care. This is nothing more than a fancy franchise hiding behind a glossy label. The service was chaotic, rude, and completely incompetent. You’d have a much better meal and experience at a local pub. Do yourself a favor: just run!

We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant during a recent visit. We went in to enjoy desserts and drinks, as advertised outside, with a wine menu also featured. While we appreciated that they accommodated us as walk-ins, the situation quickly turned uncomfortable. Initially, the manager was helpful, but when we tried to place our order, his tone changed abruptly. He almost yelled, "This is not a cafe, we don’t serve desserts here. This is not a cafe!" It would have been more understandable if he had explained the situation calmly—perhaps mentioning that they don’t serve desserts during peak hours or that their focus is on full-course meals. Instead, his response felt unprofessional and unnecessarily harsh. We chose to leave, feeling embarrassed in front of other guests. As a long-time customer of the Ivy restaurant chain, having enjoyed just desserts and drinks at other locations without issue, this experience stood out negatively. I understand peak hours can be busy, but the manager's condescending tone was memorable for all the wrong reasons, especially considering my background in hospitality.

A fabulous birthday lunch with really excellent attentive service from all the staff we met downstairs. The food was amazing as were the cocktails- alcoholic and non alcohol. They even presented our birthday celebrant with a lovely little cake 🎂 and candle. A perfect lunch which we will remember fondly ☺️ Thank you so much everyone at the Ivy Victoria. 👌

A great dinner with a friend, made even better by our waitress, Ana Gomez, who was absolutely lovely and fantastic at her job. We both ordered the flat-iron roast chicken (recommended by Ana) and it was excellent. If you’re near Victoria and need somewhere to eat, I highly recommend the Ivy.

Very successful decoration with a very nice and original bar in the upstairs area, a little expensive, good atmosphere and good food but we were not dazzled by anything we ordered

While the service was friendly it was very slow, orders mixed up and disorganised. Some dishes never came and others were the wrong dish. When the food did arrive it was beyond awful. It really shouldn’t be associated with the original restaurant in Covent Garden West street as they couldn’t be more different. Really disappointing as we went there for a Birthday and it was embarrassing how bad everything was.

We were walk ins, for a late brunch. 3 pm ish. Half the room was empty, yet the host made a great big deal about accommodating us & gave us a small rubbish table by the door, and an hour fifteen mins before they needed the table back. Fair enough, Maybe there were other bookings then, we thought. Nearer to the time - it was even quieter & there were no bookings - they just lied in order to feel important or seem busier than they were! We finished lunch & spent some time near the bar- 30 mins later still no big crowd rushing in. Why not welcome walk ins & or reject them if you’re not taking walk ins- why the fuss & lies & bs?! Poor host lady & even worse floor manager ( Carlos?) bare faced story tellers. Silly & humourous how self aggrandising some businesses are. Wish we’d gone elsewhere & supported an honest business that welcomed trade. Avoid or be prepared to deal with pretentious BS.

The breakfast was very tasty. The ambience was fabulous and the food was excellent. Absolutely recommended.

Staff was incredibly friendly, but the service was a bit slow. The interior is nice, and the seats were comfortable. The food was a bit dissapointing, the hamburger was very dry, the fries were cold, but the drinks were nice.

I'm posting the review a little late, but I'm really taking the time to do it because it's worth it. Me and my family really wanted to thank the entire team and restaurant at The Ivy Victoria in London. We came to spend the Christmas holidays in London with family, and we chose this restaurant to spend New Year's Eve on the evening of the 24th. We couldn't have found better! First of all, the decoration of the restaurant is incredible, it feels like a decoration store. And it goes all the way to the toilet! (I have never seen such beautiful toilets in my life🤣😅) Congratulations to the person who thought of the decor, because we were really impressed by the beauty of the place. In terms of service it was impeccable. The servers showed kindness, patience and willingness throughout the meal. Everyone was lovely to us. The meals were delicious. It went from starter to dessert, I have nothing to say, it was delicious. Especially the revisited brownie for dessert… At the end of our meal we went up to the first floor as there was a small bar and the cocktails were very nice. Anyway, we sincerely wanted to thank you for the evening you gave us. Thank you for the little Christmas crackers, filled with little surprises that we had at the table. And thank you for this good mood. Despite the fact that I can understand that it is complicated to work on the evening of the 24th. (I don't know if you will find the waiter who took care of us... a young man with dark skin... Thank him for us because he was really adorable and patient. We came on 24.12.24 for 8:30 p.m. and the reservation was in the name of ROUBACHE Sarah There were 4 of us.) THANKS !!!! <3

Terrible Experience. The entire restaurant had a terrible smell from the moment we walked in, so much so that we couldn't finish our meals, no apology or explanation from staff. What has made this worse is that I actually complained to the restaurant directly and made them aware of our experience a few weeks ago and they haven't even bothered to respond.!

We have visited this restaurant twice in past month. Each time, the staff member on the welcome desk at the entrance has been rude. The first time, she seemed to be new so we cut her some slack. But a month on, she had several arguments with a waitress whilst a table was got ready for us (even though we had booked) and was extremely hostile and unwelcoming to us. Had we not had friends with us and it been quite so late, we would have left. Not a nice ambience for a birthday meal. Will not go back.

Last Saturday I arrived at the ivy in Victoria and was greeted by Ana lopez the waiter she gave me the best service ever and went above and beyond and the environment was absolutely stunning! She gave the best recommendations for food & drinks. Next time guys ask for ana! She’s the best

Every Ivy I've been to has the same problem; The staff seem to make -highly irritating- illogical decisions. In this case we asked for space for two at the bar. The bar was full, however, there was a family, who were waiting to be seated at a table, perched at the end and one seat in between two couples. There were also several empty tables for two. Rather than temporarily placing us on one of those tables, they decided to offer us the one seat, which meant one of us could sit while the other stood lurking behind. This was mildly irritating. What made it highly irritating is the standing person was in a walkway that the staff were using continuously to try to serve food, which meant we were in the way. I'm not sure why the host made this decision, however it was annoying for both us and the staff that were just trying to do their jobs.

I absolutely loved this place. If you are unsure whether you should get a dessert, just do it! They are great!

Booked lunch for 3 before a matinee show. Turned up early and they sat us down straight away however took 20 mins from being seated for drink orders to be taken and it was not particularly busy. Food was lovely and the waitress was very hospitable.

Very nice restaurant. Efficient and courteous service. We were there for the New Year's Eve meal. Excessively expensive for the quality/price ratio. Other than that, it was good!

I had high expectations for the restaurant and was not disappointed. Both my fried squid starter and Shepard’s pie were excellent. It’s worth the money.

We have been to most Ivy restaurants over london and tried this one in victoria as it was close to our hotel . we where so glad as the service and food are the best we have had on any ivy . out server made us feel so special and was so helpful and knowledgeable. her name was Anna Lopez and we would go back to the restaurant in hope she is our waitress again.

We went to eat at the Ivy. There was just a table available. The food was very tasty and affordable. The waitress Ana Lopez made our experience at the Ivy even better. She took the time for us. Was very friendly and helpful. When she found out it was our son's birthday, she arranged a birthday dessert. In short, thanks to Ana, we would like to come back again when we go to London. Service the way you like it in the catering industry. Recommendable!!

Waited 20 minutes for our table to be cleared, our waitress ‘Ivy’ very attentive to the tables either side of us, clearly thinking they were bigger tippers. I’ve waited tables, I’m a senior retail executive and always tip good service - not this time. Food was average too, avoid the roast beef.

We went on impulse on 30/11 and were served by Aymeric whose service was impeccable, delightful and made it a pleasure to be there. He is the reason we would definitely go back to this branch of The Ivy. We dined outside and were provided with heaters and blankets, which created a wonderful Christmas/birthday celebration atmosphere. We had the Christmas set menu which was wonderful, and the Colada was spot on. Only reason I've given 4* instead of 5* for the food is that I hate the way the squid is served in a napkin, I don't want to be eating off cloth - it isn't appetising to the eye and the texture of a napkin doesn't reflect the texture of the squid. It was in such contrast to the appalling service we'd had at the original Ivy on West Street just a few weeks before where we'd had plates removed before we'd finished eating and second course had been completed within 45 minutes of arriving.

Visited here on a Saturday evening for dinner. Our server, Ana, was amazing—so friendly and courteous! She recommended the West End Hold Up cocktail, which was absolutely delicious. We started with the chicken skewers and squid tempura, both of which we really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the mains were a disappointment. We had the burger and the roasted chicken, but both dishes were very dry.

The drinks and food always come out delicious, I absolutely love their selection of desserts and the Christmas set menu is a must have during the holidays! The only improvement I would ask for is the service, even when it’s not busy it’s hard to get any of the waiters attention, they wouldn’t come over to take my order until I had asked. The restaurant and bar themselves are very decorative and tasteful, it’s is a nice atmosphere. The bathrooms here are just past the kitchen, where I ran into a female chef who almost slammed a door in my face with no apology. Have always loved the food here but unsure if I’ll be coming back.

The Ivy is a beautiful restaurant with good food. But the service is very bad. It took a ling time before anyone came to our table to greet us and take our order. When he did come, he was not friendly- just a “what do you want?” Once it was ordered, drinks were forgotten. Food was not paced well. It took well over two hours to dine there - with about 20 minutes of that waiting to pay our bill. Other tables- although not very busy- had the same issues. Food is good and drinks are tasty. Maybe try sitting at the bar because table service is not worth the wait.

We went for a birthday celebration and service couldn’t have been better - a special thank you to our server David J for making our mom’s birthday dinner so special. This place is all around wonderful!

Another packed place to get more customers. This visit was in a weekend so we had a booking but we had to wait over 20 min for availability. The food was quick to come, though which was appreciative, considering the delay.

Went for a post-panto dinner with 3 others. First impressions are very hard to change and unfortunately front of house staff here forgot to set a good one and never smiled once and left a feeling of us in convincing them. This all changed though after getting inside. All the staff were attentive, pleased to see us and really good. Even though it was busy, standards of food, atmosphere and service was Ivy typical and we could fault nothing. As for other bad reviews, we did not experience anything to complain about. I'd recommend going.

The poor service took away from the very good food and tremendous ambiance. To be fair - the manager insisted on removing the service charge.

We had a very special occasion to celebrate - didn’t love the location of our table considering but overall The Ivy has a good atmosphere. The food was awful and the kitchen was apparently under siege the night we were there. But service was exceptional and the staff did all they could to make things right, especially our server Ana.

I’ve been to a different branch a bunch of times but tried Victoria out today. For starters I had the satay chicken skewers which were lovely. I had the salmon cake with poached egg and the pea sauce as a main after getting a recommendation from the table next to us and it was delightful! So much so my guests ordered it again to share, they loved it that much. A personal fav drink is the Virgin Rossini. Overall, it was and continues to be a fav restaurant of mine. Will come again x

The food was pretty good, service pretty bad, and overall bang average experience, for sure could get the same for less. Shame the staff are either very new to all this, mostly look a little lost and disinterested. Took about 45 minutes for a keg to be changed, and only half the table had any drinks. Dont bother asking about cheeses, waiter only knew it was cheese and little else. Also had us stood waiting 10 minutes to be seated while our table was prepared, only to then be seated at a table we had been stood by for the whole time. All a little odd, clearly trying to be something its not.

Service is terrible waited 25 mins for someone to take order but steak is delicious and so is the christmas colada drink.

Had our company Christmas dinner in the Pelican Private Room. From the easy booking with Daniel and Dora to the excellent service from Laura, everything was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We ordered fish and chips. There was barely any fish and the batter and chips were overcooked. I've had the same at the Brighton Ivy and they were perfect. We were on the first floor. If you have mobility issues then try and reserve a table on the ground floor. There may be a lift but we had to climb the stairs. So all in all disappointed 😞

Had a fantastic experience at this place! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing time. Big shoutout to Francesco for his excellent service at the bar—he was friendly, efficient, and made great drinks. Highly recommend this spot!

Classic and bustling. It does not disappoint. We were at the one on Victoria St. and the one in Manchester Spinnienfields. Delicious fish & chips and any other dish.

We enjoyed a full English breakfast, our server Giovanni was nice and prompt with our every decision/request. Highly recommend for eating in the main or for drinks at their amazing bar upstairs.

Ask for Ana Lopez and she’ll serve you great food and lots of sunshine!

Had an amazing experience with my girlfriend. We came in for a meal and Rawdah was amazing so was the head of reception. The made sure we had a great time and were extremely friendly. We’ll definitely be back just to see these guys!!

A wonderful experience in a typical English restaurant. We also had our luggage with us, which was taken from the entrance and taken to another room for additional comfort. Impeccable recommendations and service by Giovanni, fresh, delicious dishes, diversity. I would come back anytime with pleasure.♥️✨️

One of the best branches of this chain. We visited on a Monday lunchtime and it wasn't packed, lovely leaseury lunch.

We had a table of 7 booked, the service was poor, no friendly waiter for our table not even a warm welcome, the food arrived Luke warm and at varying times so some had to start without others as it was getting cold. Also the christmas chocolate bombe was supposed to melt when pouring hot caramel on top however as the caramel arrived late and cold it didn't melt the chocolate so no effect as it was supposed to be kind if summed up the hole experience.. extremely disapointed and left with an empty feeling.. I'll never go to an IVY restaurant again the standards have dropped dramatically. Very disappointing for our christmas.meal. and it costs us over £120 each person, I do wish we had a nicer more friendly service and better food the steak was chewy too, and salmon starter was un-impressive. Not the festive Sunday afternoon we expected.

You can do better than this.. Arrived and had a 20 minute wait for our table. Offered a drink at the bar while we waited (added to our bill) Seated in the lean-to outside corridor which was cold. Asked to move tables but no space, in the nice bit! Staff put on overhead heaters but this didn’t improve the experience. Storm Darragh kindly blew the outside doors open on several occasions, leaving us to catch the flying menus. No water offered. Food was great followed by 2 coffees, one of which filled the saucer as the waiter spilt it. He then left to get a serviette to mop up the spills rather than offering a new full cup. Poor effort, poor service and definitely not up to the hype. Will I return, probably not! Service charge not paid! Disappointing pre-theatre treat. From the reviews and other diners comments, don’t bother unless seated inside…

I am extremely impressed with the service I received and the quality of the meals I ordered, the restaurant was extremely festive and the small touches really made it extra magical. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service made it a perfect start to the day. A great way to spend the festive season! I would also like to say a big Thankyou to David J and Shakthy for the great service they provided. Being attentive, accommodating, friendly and making the whole experience feel even more special.

We went two different Ivy’s in two days. We liked the meals and English style of Ivy too much. Prices were a little bit expensive according to the similar places but the atmosphere was so different than others. It worths.

What a great place the decor the food and service was immaculate.

Large, busy and very noisy restaurant although there appeared to be a quieter area at the back. We were quickly shown to our seats but there was no suggestion of taking our coats so presumably that service is not offered. The waiter seemed not to speak much English, although to be fair the right food arrived. However, as three of us had ordered soup, being giving knives and forks was a bit pointless and we were then given dessert spoons, not soup spoons. A visit to the toilet, or “washroom” involved a lot of stairs (I think there was a lift) and a long corridor. At the end I was presented with the wrong bill although this was sorted out quickly, nevertheless, it was careless. This is not a cheap restaurant (optional 13.5% service charge) and has to be judged by those standards.

I had the Shepherd’s Pie and Fish and Chips. The Fish and Chips were incredibly delicious, with a crispy batter and tender fish inside! I definitely want to come back and enjoy it again. The interior of the restaurant was stylish, and the place was bustling with couples and families. It was definitely one of the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. The accompanying sauce was also great!

Went to The Ivy Victoria twice for the cream tea. The tea and scones are exceptional. The atmosphere is great. It’s a beautiful restaurant. The service is not great. The staff is friendly but exceptionally inattentive. Both times, staff never came to check on us after delivering our order, and we were there at off peak times of day at both visits. They were completely unconcerned about returning to our table to the extent that we had to track someone down both times just to pay. I would not have come back a second time, but the scones and tea really are so good. Would definitely not come back for dinner.

Absolutely the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Went to The Ivy Victoria without a reservation, so we waited at the bar. They told us it would be a 20-minute wait, but we ended up standing there for over an hour with ZERO acknowledgment. Not a single person asked if we wanted a drink, despite us trying to get the attention of multiple staff members. After waiting so long, we politely asked to order food at the bar because we couldn’t wait anymore. Guess what? Ignored again. We called out to at least three different waiters and the bartender, but they completely disregarded us—even after we tried four times! The final insult? When we asked the manager, Oliver, if we could order, he casually said, “No, not now, love,” and walked away like we were invisible. The blatant disrespect and unprofessionalism were shocking. After that, I went to him to ask for his name and left. Didn’t eat, didn’t drink, and certainly won’t ever go back. With a manager like Oliver setting the tone, no wonder the service is this abysmal. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

Lunch for 8 friends Sunday 2:30pm. Endless levels of poor service unfortunately. Had to wait 30 mins for the table Slow to get a waiter to take the order At a slow part of the day as restaurant emptied out after lunch yet food came in dribs and drabs. 7 of 8 meals. Then the 8th, then the veg and 5 mins later the sides. Three roast potatoes the size of Brussels sprouts is a mean portion for. £30 roast dinner. When we asked for more. 2 portions arrived and unbeknown to us £4.95 each! Constantly calling waiter over to serve us. Numerous times asked for tap water which never arrived. Waited 30 mins for dessert menus and further 15 mins to order. Advised the manager we would not pay service charge and he decuted a further £28.80 (random!) but still a £440 bill for a distinctly average experience. Brings the reputation of The Ivy down and would think twice before returning.

Very disappointing food , the squid tempura batter was too thick and hard overcooked incredibly crispy and unpleasant The chicken milanaise was too thick dry and overcooked the fried egg overcooked So overall food very poor and not good value A bowl of 5 olives for £4.50 ?? This place deserves 5 stars because of Ana (Lopez). She went above and beyond for my dad’s 80th with a lovely glass of fizz and a desert. Aside from that the food was delicious! I’d highly recommend but hope you meet Ana when you visit.

It was cosy, food was perfectly acceptable and ok price for that part of London. Serving staff were rather inexperienced though. The coffee was decent... I remembered the coffee more than the food itself.

Nice venue, and the food service was excellent. Lady who showed us to our seat was quite rude and dismissive. Burger and fries showed up quickly, though the burger was a little dry.

Belated birthday brunch with a friend. First time here. Wanted something a little boujee, on the Victoria Line. Conveniently located, ca. 3min walk from Victoria underground station. The first thing that stood out was the friendly team and attentive table service. Nice food. Busy but not too noisy. Cute little touch with the birthday profiterole for my friend.

Great experience at The Ivy. The zucchini fries were great. I had the chicken shish with peanuts sauce and it was absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is gorgeous.

The worst restaurant in london. Burger bread not fresh at all and even though it said it has truffle but it's literally just beef, onion and lettuce. Not sure why it took them 30 minutes to make. Fish and chips less than expected. Truffle chips with a hint of truffle only on the top, not worth the price. We have been calling the stuff and even though we were loud they just didn't came 😊! And for some reason it takes about 30 minutes between each dish!! Don't recommend it at all for food.

Have visited many times, and always got the wow factor...until this visit! Was surprised to be able to book on a Saturday with just an hour's notice. Was seated upstairs, which is comfortable but not as grand as downstairs. The food was excellent and arrived very quickly once you managed to order. We waited 45 minutes for drinks and ordering. When asking for a second drink it was forgotten. We had to ask for menus, water, drinks and the bill. The waiter was extremely good at not making eye contact and pretending he couldn't see people trying to get his attention. All the customers were complaining and one particular man was getting very loud and annoyed.
